    I have played few hours in Fallout 76. It was buggy, boring and felt empty. It was changed from quite good RPG to **** shooter. And it does not have ANY good shooting mechanics. After that I installed Fallout 3 and NV, used Tales of Two Wastelands mod to see if this is similar to the previous iterations because I remembered them differently. And god, you can see how Fallout 76 sucks evenI have played few hours in Fallout 76. It was buggy, boring and felt empty. It was changed from quite good RPG to **** shooter.     I am sorry to have to give this a 0 but honestly, it is deserving. Consider that this is a person that gave Fallout 4 a 10 rating a long time ago (check my rating for then) and know I am not that hard to please. I am so ashamed of Bethesda it is not funny. I used to love them, now it is the opposite. What they did with the release of Fallout 76 is honestly criminal. Under noI am sorry to have to give this a 0 but honestly, it is deserving. Consider that this is a person that gave Fallout 4 a 10 rating a long time ago (check my rating for then) and know I am not that hard to please. I am so ashamed of Bethesda it is not funny. I used to love them, now it is the opposite. What they did with the release of Fallout 76 is honestly criminal. Under no condition buy this game as it is a complete rip-off. I ran out of things worth doing in the first 5 days or so of gameplay and I was one of those people that actually took the time to read all of every terminal, listen to ever holotape, etc. Most people would be bored in 2 or 3 days.… Expand

    Bethesda banned people for using graphic improvement mods and ask them to write essays about why it's so bad. A company. From which you PURCHASED a product. Ban you from using a product you paid for. A product you DID NOT misused. And ask you to write a **** schoolyard essay about why you are a bad person in their eyes.

    Well that's a big no from me, guys.

    Fallout 76 is completely broken, playing it is a total waste of time. There are so many technical problems other reviewers already mentioned, which I can confirm. Lag, Clipping Bugs, losing Items and other major glitches everywhere, random FPS drops and so on... Those buyable Atoms don´t have any decent value. The game STILL uses that old crappy engine which is so overwhelmingly obsoleteFallout 76 is completely broken, playing it is a total waste of time. But to be honest, I already saw it before, Bethesdas Way downhill already started with Fallout 4 in my opinion, because PC optimization was crap right from the beginning and not much has changed until now.     Oh how the mighty has fallen! A hilarious parade of bugs, incompetence, ignorance and lack of care about your player base. A gift that keeps giving.
    Honestly, I think Fallout 76 was a test on just how forgivable Bethesda customers are. Stay away.

    The main elements of what made fallout games immersive: the story and the colourful characters are missing. Without those things, the dodgy physics, bad connection and bugs stand out way too much to be forgiven. Sadly whether you were hoping for a fallout game or a MMORPG in a fallout universe, you'll be disappointed. It's 95% filler... and 5% broken dreams.

    So, what's Fallout 76 is? It is a big mistake of Bethesda, made from a great idea. Multiplayer with your friends in world of Fallout is fantastic! And Bethesda made it. No, it isn't a bad game - it's good game. But sometimes I think that all these bugs, this bga from collector's and etc. made this game awful. Only one thing good there is CHARACTER CREATOR. THX, bethesda.

    I pre-ordered the game back when it first appeared for sale. I was very iffy about the concept but was open to trying it out. Back in the beta, there wore a horrendous amount of bugs, and I personally could not actually play the game for the entire beta period. When the game officially released, I still could not play it. 10/13/19 was the first day I could actually    Absolutely Disgusting

Again, similar bugs to the one from the beta were everywhere. Players would rubber-band EVERYWHERE, and i could not pick up any of the weapons i came across except for a single pickaxe.

    Ive attempted to enjoy this game multiple times, but the bugs, the concept, the mistreatment of the fallout franchise.. they all stack up to make this game completely unplayable. The only thing that worked were the weapons (when i could pick them up), and they handled well.    … Expand

Даже если бы они хотели сделать маленький спинофф в стиле раст, то надо хотя бы не ставить такую заоблачную цену. 5 долларов было бы в самый раз, и тогда можно было бы понять донат на шкурки.     My girlfriend purchased this for me on my birthday and got it for herself too. After playing it I am pissed as hell. I can't believe that she paid full retail, for a game that was missing most of what Bethesda promised at launch and has the same bugs as Fallout 4! I don't care that they are trying to fix it.     The worst Fallout game i play ever. Unfinished , a lot of bugs , no NPCs that make the game so booring , bad FPS mecanics. Is a game that needed 2 or more years for be a good game.
    Disappointing

    Bethesda is well known for making single player RPGs and does quite a good job at it (if you ignore FO4) but all of their attempts at online end in failure.

    >no story (its an mmo so its not really surprising)
    >bad enemy AI
    >bad enemies (they ALL felt reskinned from previous games)
    >Unfun gun play
    >there is no survival aspect
    >you feel like you're playing godmode despite not being in god mode
    >the only thing there is to do is get in groups and chat (as a result of the game being too easy)
    >why couldn't they have made a Fallout 5 except more like Fallout:NV than fallout 4, I wouldn't even care about the outdated engine
    >You could be playing skyrim over this (modded with Fallout weapons into it of course)

    Ok, so maybe the last 3 points aren't exactly strong criticisms, But this game comes off as so repelling to fans of Bethesdas other works that i don't even want to talk about it
    Not to mention they banned that one guy for abusive language despite him roleplaying as a Country Hick who had survived the apocalypse. I'm not even joking, his name was Nathan the Hick and he was clearly roleplaying as some backward country hick who planned to "eliminate all gays". he then went up to a group of users to share his views (in order to make them kill him) and then let them beat him to death.
    I can't tell whats more depressing; that players are willing to make themselves out to be enemies with better backstories than any of the actual enemies ingame due to how bland the whole world is, or that Bethesda has a strict "no fun allowed" policy to obvious roleplayers.
    Like are they wanting the roleplayers to only play as kind virtuous people in a post apocalyptic world? Because that's no fun

    Regardless, I do not recommend anyone play this game, the only appreciable aspect of it is the player player interactions because everything is so terrible.

    The worst creation of the company of all that I know. Where is the plot? Where is the interest in playing it? Just take the old engine, delete the plot, the NPS, all game mechanics - this is a sign of absolute laziness and greed of developers. I hope no one else will buy **** from Bethesda.

There is a reason that I have thousands of hours invested into Fallout 3 and NV. Story trees are a big part of the past games and there is none in this game. It takes away the player's ability to make choices that can effect the story line. I can understand some of the changes from a development standpoint as being necessary for an online multiplayer game (such as VATS being changed drastically), however, there are other changes that I cannot look past and thus, a score of four. Should be noted that I own two copies of the game and have invested over 100 hours into it. I'm not just writing a bad review to lower the game's score.… Expand

    The game is basically unplayable once you reach a certain point. For example, the bugs and glitches make it impossible for you to damage enemies. Never have I seen a more broken product, the devs and project managers should be ashamed to release something like this.

    I love exploring this game with friends but to say that this is a buggy and poor mess is an understatement. I really wanted to love FO76 but I can't find it in me to keep it installed any longer. If this is an omen for FO5, Fallout has truly fallen from grace.

    At its best, Fallout 76 is an opportunity for you and a friend or three to romp around a gameworld made to look like part of the Fallout world, and if all you really wanted out of the game was that, you might be perfectly happy with it.

    Don't bother looking for rich story (there is very little), compelling characters (there are very nearly none) or a tapestry of lore to explore (everything you'll learn about post-apoc Appalachia will come from computer terminals and audio logs, with very little exception).

    This design decision to have no NPC's and no driving storylines makes playing Fallout 76 feel like a study in futility. You can pick a direction and go in it, but it won't matter. There's nobody of interest to find, no storylines to stumble across and a tremendous amount of repetitious quests that all bleed into eachother after a few hours and become a mindless exercise in numbing tedium.

    By the time you wind up having some random nobody from the internet follow you around for half an hour making stupid noises in the Microphone and asking you about your genitals, you might just be grateful for the break in monotony.    … Expand

    Piss poor game. Limits my freedom of speech to a high degree, and I am always feeling like I'm under the watchful eye of big brother Bethesda. If you guys wanted to make an open world simulator, please do it right and actually allow people to play the game as they intend, lest you want to end up bankrupting your company.

The problem is that fallout 76 was made for an entirely different market then the core fanbase, rushed through development to sell as soon as possible, and is just generally poorly made. But this game is a mess, plain and simple, anyone who disagrees is just a hardcore Fallout fan who doesn't want to admit it and I understand as I used to stand by World of Warcraft till Warlords of Draenor....

The way the game runs is laggy, buggy, rendering is terrible even on a decent speed computer and the fact that the textures and look close up isn't much better than Fallout 4 worries me. Most of the textures and items had been copied over from the Fallout 4.
    The game itself... The skeleton is there and I can see its potential, I hm not just here to **** all over the game, there is promise. The story is boring, not engaging and short, the side quests aren't very exciting and make me not care for the characters or lack there of... I think that the game could really benefit from NPCs, maybe add them into a DLC where they come from another vault. The format and the way the game plays seems not player friendly and rushed.
    [I do like the new camera system, the idea of the field of view, the attempt at lighting and other experimental features... Also the nuke idea and the new monster are cool]

    Overall I can't believe I took the risk and bought this full price, I am in shock and only play now because I feel I have to get my moneys worth.
    I would advise against this game till it does a No Man Sky and does a 180 in a year, let us hope for its great future and hopefully Fallout 5    … Expand

    This is without a doubt the worst game I have ever paid for. Bethesda should be absolutely ashamed with this abomination. This is coming from somebody that put over 1,000 hours into Fallout 4 (probably a couple hundred un-modded.)

    Fallout was end on Fallout 2! Next we have Fallout New Vegas from Obsidian on thx for Them for real Fallout in 3D World. New Vegas dont have good graphic and **** ragdoll and characters movement but it is a real Fallout with more options, way to go and decisions that affect to world.     The negative reviews are very much deserved for this game. it's on an engine that is over a decade old and was made for single player games. Many of the bugs in this game have existed for years in the past bugthesdas games and now people are telling me they are finally going to fix them, I find that hard to believe. Problems aside (and there are a LOT even for a bethsoft title) a game at it's core should be fun, this is in no way fun. Look at previous Fallout titles and think back to what made them fun:
    -A dynamic open world that was challenging and rewarded you for exploration/story
    -You had an impact and presence in the world
    -Rich NPC stories
    -Quests that made you want to see what happen, not just a run here do X check box

    Now strip all that out and you have Fallout 76. This feels more like an experiment that a bunch of modders put out. There are 0 NPCs, quests just appear in your inventory, enemies don't feel connect to the world, half the time they don't respond to being shot, your "camp" has the permanency of a tumbleweed and the presence in the world falls flat when the quest you just completed starts again for the next player. PVP is pointless and you get no reward for it. Heaven forbid you accidentally shoot a player, now everyone in the world gets a lovely notification and a map icon to come kill you. They can follow you around, line up that head shot all while you can't do a thing about it. Teaming up with players is a painful as it sounds. If you are on one step of a quest and your buddy is on a different step, guess what you're not gonna be able to help each other. The game has been stripped of what made it fun all to shoehorn in this multiplayer system that is, also, not fun. There doesn't seem to be an benefit to having multiplayer.    … Expand

    First time i tried to launch a nuke, the parts magically went missing from my inventory to successfully launch a nuke.
    The second time i tried. AGAIN parts went missing off my character.
    The third time i went to launch the nuke and the server crashed.
    The fourth time I died and couldn't pick up my dropped gear that had all my circuitry.

    I usually give developers the benefit of the doubt on games and i can understand that launches can be buggy but lets be real here. This is Bethesda. they should know what the **** they're doing and they clearly don't.

    IF ANYONE is thinking about buying this game. Don't. Do not give Bethesda money for this steaming pile of ****.

Engine from Morrorwind, Buggy as hell, boring Quest, no real Story, Empty World, ugly Game, PvP not working.. What a lazy game... shame on the developers for making this game

    By the looks of it, the game we were looking for is being made by Obsidian and coming out in 2019. Fallout 76 was just a huge mistake.    … Expand

    For starters, there are NO NPCs in the game! No one to interact with, no one to see how they survived, no one to give quests. The entire game seems to be a rushed attempt to play off Fortnight in the Fallout Universe because its all PVE or PVP, not the original Fallout we have been promised to continue.

    Quests are PVP based. Its all about killing other creatures OR becoming a Raider and killing other players, there is no story to follow anymore.

    Crafting is bugged out, and usually results in crashes. If you build your CAMP, and then relocate it, you must start from scratch because of bugs that prevent you from placing your saved CAMP again without rebuilding it.

    Bethesda ALSO promised us WEST-TEK Canvas bags from dropping the $200 for the special editions, INSTEAD WE GOT NYLON CHINESE RIP-OFFS BECAUSE they, and I quote:
    “Ran out of supplies and had to make a change at the last minute to deliver games.”

    In all this game is a MASSIVE MESS and a waste of time and money for a game that could have been so much more. Instead of a game, they released a BETA that they continue to update just TO MAKE MONEY!    … Expand

    Game is unplayable, broken, unpatchable (would need a whole new game to fix this one), and unenjoyable.

    At first I felt excited to get out and see what Bethesda had made, to explore, build and do quest. But rather quickly the game over all felt empty and dull. Everything I had hoped for was missing and was instead replaced with thins I had hoped would not be there.
    This game contains so many badly developed thins on so many levels its hard to get any enjoyment out of it at all. Thins from how the melee systems hit-box is from a bad 1998 game, to the terrible sound location system were it will sound like all the enemies in a dungeon are kicking you in the ear at once, from every direction. Not to mention how demanding this game will be for your system. I run it on a GTX 1080 ti and i still experience ridiculous frame drops in certain areas.
    You will spend most of the time being frustrated over game breaking bugs and unstable servers.
    All these thins I could accept, from a small INDIGAME-studio perhaps, but not from this multi billion company that is Bethesda. The game should be called a early-access game, and the price players had to pay to play this game is absurd.

    To summarise, this game is all in all just a big disappointment for fallout fans. They brought with them all bad thins from fallout 4 and added a few more game breakers on top of the already huge pile of dirt that this game contains.    … Expand

You can see so many MMORPGs with NPCs and nice quests, so this point is manageably.

    I like the crafting and collection mechanism of Fallout 76, but everyone gets pissed off because of this stupid storage mechanism. Why has the main chest a maximum capacity? Why the character has so low capacity? I checked Fallout 4, even with Level 1 you have 230 capacity. Why hair clips and also ammo weight something? You have to through ammo away because you cant put it in the main chest. If you like to sell 1000 steel to free your chest, you can't do it because the traders will give you 0. This game is not finished, that is my intention.

    Next point PvP, WHY? I only say WHY? It is the worst implementation of PvP I have ever seen. The point is that no body does PvP currently, because it is senseless. Better implementation would be to give PvE and PvP option before searching a server. On PvE there is no PvP or stay it like it is currently, but for PvP there shall be same level ranged players placed on the server which can't see each other on the map, so you have to listen to guns etc. You shall also get a bonus for killed players.

    Even the controlling of factories/plants/trash dumps is a nice idea but the implementation of the feature is bad. You can build defences but If you quit the game everything is lost.

    I like the survival idea, but it is easy to satisfy so this feature is also boring.

    I suggest to play Fallout 3 or 4 again and have a look later on Fallout 76. Bethasda released an unfinished game with bad ideas, so they have to give a lot lot lot of free content and expansions to make it a valuable game and get the repect of the Fallout community again.

    One last statement, the pc port is horrible even more horrible than Fallout 4, stop that, many other games have amazing pc ports.    … Expand

    It didn't take me long to give up on this game, I have an insane amount of hours from fallout 3 to 4, especially 4, and what killed this experience for me was some stupid golf course riddled with ghouls which are one of the few mobs that drop no ammo but somehow make you waste an immense amount and so I eventually just couldn't deal with the grind of killing them with absolutely no loot reward while wasting my resources consistently trying to avoid the fight entirely.

    I'll be honest I quit on this game early, but holy jesus... the quality is just nonexistent. This is a game for people who want to roam around and enjoy the atmosphere with no care for lack of immersion (to each their own). After fallout 4 and its beautiful community of mods I was spoiled with high expectations but this game didn't even meet the lowest expectations. This is no doubt a flop and my first actual review... ever... I made this account just to stress my disappointment with a franchise I loved. Not to mention the severe inability of bethesda to properly support their community.... seriously, you can't change your username without making a new account.. I even wrote to them and explained why I needed a new account name.. but that was unreasonable apparently.

    If you want to enjoy fallout go back to fallout 4 and just mess around with different mods that bethesda doesn't even sufficiently support. It doesn't deserve a 0 because it would likely be an amazing game without the massive amount of glitching... like how am I supposed to enjoy fighting a dude phased through a wall.. or frozen in t-pose and not even shooting? But again, the atmosphere is fairly beautiful and walking through the game is absolutely enjoyable until you are completely disappointed by the garbage fighting that takes place again and again, assuring you that it isn't something you can ignore and push away just because you love the franchise.. at least I couldn't and I almost always side with the franchise giving them the benefit of the doubt... but I just couldn't ignore it for this game.

    It was a horrible disaster at launch. and now it is even worse. No NPCs, no story, tons of bugs, cheaters and finally it is P2W with last membership update. Avoid this product.

    How about make a decent game that's not full of bugs and keeps crashing for no **** reason. I'm literally wasting my time playing this **** game. How can I even rate this game above 0 when I cant even manage to play it in the first place. The creators of this game should feel ashamed. there's no effort or thought put into the making of this game and its just a cash grab.

    The concept is interesting, if it worked it could have been one of my favorite game ever, as I looove Fallout, ut the game barely works, and it filled with stupid concepts, lie the limited PVP, the limited players, etc. And now that they dared to add a subscription service, I don't just say it's a bad game I heaviuly recommend you to stray away from this game.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. My first Fallout game was 3. I loved New Vegas cause it was like 3 but better in every single way imaginable. I fell in love watching fallout lore videos such as Storyteller. Then for fallout 4 to come along and **** all over everything that pisses me off. THEN THIS GAME SOMEHOW MANAGES TO BE FALLOUT $ BUT 50 TIMES WORSE. Brotherhood and Enclave somehow in the game. They removed Jet apparently. So they listening, and by listening i mean listened to one thing and said **** you guys enjoy ur favorite series being !ucked to death to the rest. I originally was gonna give this game a 1, cause hey they finally admiting they dont give a flying **** what we think.     The game isn't absolute trash, but it is all about collecting trash. Sadly collecting stuff isn't possible in this game since you will reach the stash limit within the first few hours of the game and you will struggle with the carry weight limit for the rest of the game.

    Fa schifo, pieno di bug che non ti permettono neanche di andare avanti nelle missioni. Arrivando alla fine della missione principale mi sono ritrovato a ripetere di dungeon 3 volte trovando 3 bug diversi impedendomi di proseguire.
    Bethesda anziché trovare una soluzione e correggere questi errori ha scritto una guida sul loro sito, che sorpresa sorpresa, anche la guida è sbagliata! Patetici.

    This game is by far the biggest trash of 2018. This game supposed to be a grinder where you farm items but the stash in the game is a joke. It is full in about 2 hours. If you want an unlimited stash for trash items then you have to pay a monthly fee. This game is a pure scam.

    The game at first is OK, overall the game is extremely boring and lackluster. If they copy and pasted Fallout 4 and just paid attention to the multi-player aspect the game would be a lot better. The multiplayer aspect is close to useless. Comparing the game play to Fallout 4, there is close to no improvement.

    Boring, broken, made by a **** company past its' heyday, staff crunching, lies, false advertising, broken promises, in-game store with overpriced goods... should I go on? This game is a sanity killer and needs to be thrown into the depths of obscurity. At least No Mans' Sky fixed their game and improved it.

Not only do you feel like playing in a dead, empty game but you also have 1000 things that you need to pay extra in order to have the full experience.     Against my better judgement, I risked getting this on Steam when it was discounted. What I can say for sure is... WTF! What kind of Fallout is this? 1- The crafting and building. Somehow they managed to make this more complicated and less usable than for Fallout 4. If you survive the fall, you're then trapped in the basement as it phases back in. 3- What kind of story is this? There almost is no story. It's wake up alone, go outside not being able to collect much on the way, wander around a bit picking up a wee mission or two. Done. Nothing about that is any good. The suggestion that this could be played as a single player game is... erroneous. 4- Where the flip is everyone? Where are the NPCs? I get its a radiated wasteland but seriously? 5- The weapons and armour 'degrade' very quickly. This is one of the cheap ways that the franchise is trying to milk money from people no doubt. 6- It's art is very bland. These are just a few of the complaints and I will be applying for a refund.     Fallout 76 represents a big disappointment and the lowest point of the series so far. Riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull gameplay, nonexistent story and outdated graphics, it fails as a both multiplayer and singleplayer experience for fans and newcomers alike.

    Miracles do happen once in a while and No Man’s Sky proved that sometimes it is possible to get back on your feet even after a terrible failure. Right now though Fallout 76 is botched spectacularly on so many levels that even talking about this game is a waste of time. [01/2019, p.46]
