    A truly awful game.
    Modern, pollitcally correct, soulless rubbish.

They've abused PC gamers, who made the franchise successful, and sold them out to make a buck more from consolers.

Origins was great, DA2 was fun for what it was. It was short, linear, and without any of the complexity of Origins, but ignoring that it was still passable. Inquisition is horse manure.

Furthermore, it appears impossible to create a good looking character and a lot of the voice acting was bad straight off (the Inquisitor, dear god woman, stop overacting). Sad really, one day I hope to be able to come back to this and actually play it.

The game has a lot of content, but it is rather boring content like claiming some barren wasteland for the 'Inquisition' that you do not need anyways, because you can always just go and punch the final boss in the face and end this mess of a game.

The character development suffers greatly from the horrible combat. I found the combat to be so terrible that I just wanted the game to end. With such a terrible combat implementation there is no motivation to experiment with different builds.

    To sum it up:
Only one playthrough, I am never going to touch this game again. Not fun, not epic, just a huge let down.

I enjoyed this game, and I feel like I got my money's worth in exploration, scenery, and companion interaction (an achievement, considering the cost), but I'm going to talk about what I disliked, and what bumped my score down from what could have been an 8/10 or higher.

    1. Multiplayer is a mess. I should have expected it, given ME3's multiplayer, but it's unacceptable for a $60+ game to follow a f2p MMO model. You're given two options: grind or pay money to unlock anything beyond the bare basics. Maps are repetitive, 'party banter' is poorly implemented (if you have less than 4 people, expect to hear the same lines over and over and over again), and the objectives seem all the same. If you're considering buying this game for multiplayer - give it a pass, and go play a f2p MMO instead. It'll be cheaper and give you the same experience.

    2. The singleplayer main storyline is weak. Many of the single-quest plots should have been covered in multiple quests, I think. Each individual arc seems rushed, so it makes the entire main plot seem scattered and unfocused. Also, the most exciting quest happened near the beginning of the game. The end is anticlimactic in comparison.

    3. Endgame is easy. Endgame is unbelievably easy. Even on Nightmare, I was mowing down enemies after like, level 8, with no regard for tactics or companion choice. The difficulty choices only seem to matter before you start unlocking crafting and gaining more skills. If you're used to more difficult games, and want any challenge, I would recommend starting on Nightmare and possibly gimping yourself some other way.

If you can stomach these three points, the game is beautiful, with memorable companion banter/lines and a hell of a lot of content. I found the combat snappy and fun, too, despite the difficulty drop-off at later levels. But the game is far from perfect, and some aspects are more than a little disappointing.

If you adapting to console at least follow right trends.

I won't even mention clumsy PC port, we got used to it more or less but game has zero immersion. Map has personality of cereal box, no challenge, no thrill of exploring. The combat in this game is beyond boring. I typically love RPG games, but felt incredibly bored. The story could be much better and didn't engage me much. It was okay and definitely a new experience for me, but the poor combat, lack of variety in talent trees, and lack of the feeling of accomplishment throughout just made me sell this game after a few hours of gameplay.

May I start with the good? The aesthetic is far better than Dragon Age 2. Weapons look like weapons; armour looks more credibly like armour, rather than a schoolboy's manga-infused fantasy. The Haven tactical map offers another interesting dimension to gameplay and a useful short-cut between playable zones. As ever, characters remain lovingly written and well-acted (in terms of a computer game).

So that's that. Onto the bad.

MMORPG and/or casual gaming influences have polluted the main gameplay to an unacceptable extent, which is so contrived to be story-breaking. This is a bad thing in a story-driven game. " Look into a conveniently-placed skull to collect shards of ... something, anyway." The lack of editorial control on that particular facet of the game is appalling. "Creepy," remarks Varic at one point, and I could not agree more. That a game of this pedigree should require such pointless padding tends to suggest a gross editorial deficit. I logged in this evening, expecting to take another hour or so. But I didn't actually do it. The reason I didn't do it is because I have outstanding quests which feel like horrid chores - the sort of the "collect the shard" variety which are so contrived as to add no narrative value. I have to repeat, BioWare, those of us who have home or professional lives to lead have better things to do than your artifical fetch-quests. The problem is that, having had experience of the Mass Effect series, if I don't complete all these contrived, nonsense non-quests, there are likely to be dire consequences for my characters in the long run. I'd rather save them - and me - the bother and axe the whole tedious affair now, than sit through hours of irrelevant padding.

For all the decent writing, characters seem less approachable in this game. I spent a wee while going through my "valuables" inventory, plotting out in my own mind (as per Dragon Age: Origins) which items were saleable and which were potential gifts. It was only when no option to give an item to another character presented itself that I searched on the internet under DO:I Gifts and found that there was no such function - "valuables" was just another RPG-diminishing term for "saleable junk." How depressing.

In the early stages of the game, you seem to have one or two "getting to know you" chats with your NPCs. Thereafter, even after 23 hours, attempts which fall flat to strike up meaningful conversations with well-acted characters just seems like a waste, and demonstrative of the recent BioWare inclination towards railroading ("You'll get this conversation at this point in in the plot,") rather than real RPG gaming ("You'll get this conversation if you really get in touch with this character.").

I am going to be far from the first person to say it, but the player perspective is appalling. I felt uncomfortable in trying to control with the WSAD keys a character keys who wasn't properly first-person controllable in combat, and DA:I seems to import the worst of both worlds: a non-tactical, WSAD P3 view of the character for most of the time, switching to a temporary, foliage-blocked, fallible, non-intuitive tactical view for combat.

Finally, can I save my particular ire for the failure to import saved games? When my old PC died, I spent a certain amount of money in recovering not just work documents, but also my DO:A and DO:2 saved game files. Imagine my surprise when, during a conversation with Leiliana, absolutely apropos nothing at all, she referred to my male Warden mage from DA:O as a "she." Again, I reverted to Google. There is no save import function, we are told. Make your own (contrived) histiory using a website and download it. "Thanks, BioWare," I thought. "Thanks for putting me on notice of that." Because - much as reviewers of this site might disagree - I'm really not stupid. But if I have to read in-depth into obscure fine print for a computer games company that they're not going to do what they've always done, surely something is not right? Isn't this what the late, great Lord Denning called a "red hand" clause - that is, it ought to be pointed out with a big, red hand, to draw the attention of the wary consumer?

I am aware that a lot of this review may sound like complaining. I hate to join my voice to those who say "DA:O" was a better game. The sad thing is that it was. It was both more intuitive and immersive. DA:I is a bit of a shadow of what BioWare used to be. It's better than DA:2. But at least I had time to finish DA:2.

I bought this game in november and I'm still nowhere close to finishing it. I've only picked it up again now, in March. That should already tell you something about the quality of the game. First, the many flaws.

    1. Main character

The biggest flaw for me is the Inquisitor. Granted, I haven't finished the game yet, but the problem still persists seeing how im 60% done with the main storyline and I still don't give a single crap about my MC. I've seen a lot of people complaining about Hawke being bland, but Hawke had a family, a history. Also, Hawke and co. always seemed like a more close knit group. Half of the people in Inq are just there for the ride, and I feel little to no attachment to anyone. That is a big problem. Also, the romances are so superficial. To pursue any of them, the Inquisitor has to act like a freaking sleazebag that uses every single opportunity to twist a dialogue into romance waters. Last time I checked, it's possible to talk to a person you like without trying to get in their pants after their every spoken word. And I can't even turn off the heart symbol to try and pretend like I'm just talking to them and not being creepy. I had the same gripe with DA2 romances, but there I accepted it because my Hawke was the snarky type, and I felt it was fitting for her to be a big flirt. Here, not so much.

    2. Story immersion

There is none. You're the big Inquisitor, and yet you are running around, collecting some silly shards and picking up papers from the map for more fetch quests. It feels stupid. The maps are so ridiculously big and filled with the exact same content (astrarium, fade rift, dragon, camp, cave). Apart from the beautiful scenery, there is nothing there. I kept hoping that some strange NPC would ambush me and give me an interesting quest but nothing. Just a lot of paper gathering.

    3.Gameplay

Holy **** is the AI bad. Seriously, I can't even put it in words. It took me 6 attemps to beat the easiest dragon (the one in Crestwood) on freaking normal, all because the stupid ranged AI wouldn't keep their distance and would rush off into the range of the dragon's attack. By that point I just let every other character commit suicide and solo'd the whole freaking dragon with Cassandra. It took me AN ENTIRE HOUR. LIKE SERIOUSLY. I might be a bad player, but I played through the entire DA2 on hard, and even when I lost, I would just make up a better tactic and win. In DA:I, I'd devise a tactic, only to have the entire thing fall apart 20 mins into the battle because freaking Dorian decided to stand right in front of the dragon's mouth. wth.

    4. The load times

Sweet Jesus, the load times. Sometimes they seriously make me wanna cry. I realize it's probably my hardware thats faulty, but when I put the graphics on Medium, all hair and beards look like they've been thoroughly lubed up after a night with the Iron Bull. And yes, I tried changing the mesh and no, it didn't help. So I'm stuck with experiencing 30 cutscenes in Skyhold alone, just to talk to a couple companions. Sadness.

    5. No party banter

I've been alerted to the fact that the party banter problem is a PC bug, but it's a big deal. The maps are so freaking big and yet I get an average of 1 instance of party banter during 4 hrs of gameplay. In my 45 hours I had maybe 10 moments of party banter? Recently I've resorted to playing the LOTR soundtrack over my gameplay, and felt super epic while hunting down nugs and marking quarries. Godbless.

    5. Mountain Climbing Simulator 2015

I cannot count how many times I had to climb 90 degree slopes just to get to a freaking shard. Thanks got for gravity defying mounts.

    6. Body animation for the elf Inquisitor made me wish I had made a human one. It looks like she's trying to take flight.

    The positives:

    1. Beautiful scenery

There's nothing to be said, apart that it's really pretty. I had to stop a couple of times just to flip my camera around and take in the sights. It's really lovely, especially when you go from sizzling deserts to the lush forests of Crestwood.

    2. The companions

Despite feeling little to no connection with them (due to the truly ****ty MC), the companions are all excellently written and feel like genuine people. Personal favourites are Dorian, Cassandra and Vivienne (yes, even if she's a **** It's a shame that I feel like I'm reading a book about them, rather than experiencing the plot actively. Also, sometimes their faces are rendered quite beautifully and that makes me happy.

    3. It's addicting

Here I am, whining about how bad DA:I after playing it for 8 hours. Although, most of the time spent playing factored into trying to find people around Skyhold, spending 15 min per every cutscene and managing the infuriating AI, but it's still a long time. Unfortunately, even as I'm writing this, I'm feeling my will to play ebb away, and if I had anything better to do or play, I would drop DA:I like a hot potato.

I have to wrap this up and play DA:O again

If it had been marketed as a choose-your-own-adventure movie, I suppose I would have given it a score somewhere in the 7-9 range (can't be a 10 due to choppy graphics), based on voice acting, quests, and overall engagement of the story -- but I didn't make it that far.

While the combat system in Origins was awesome at the time, I found that after playing DA2 that I had grown too accustomed to the mechanics of DA2 to ever play Origins again -- cannot stand getting hit from 30 yards away by a 2H warrior who I ran away from when he started his swing 10 seconds ago. But I gave both games a 10: the party members basically did what you told them to do when you told them to do it, and could easily be ordered to move to position X, or two or more members grouped and made to go to position X or attack enemy Y or whatever. Not in DA:I. It's gone. No more tactics = no more Dragon Age.

I had been playing a lot of DA2 (and even tried DA:O again) in the run-up to the DA:I release, because I was so jonesing for this style of combat, and I was really looking forward to DA:I so I could finally experience some new character types and new story elements, etc. What the hell happened?

Whereas I had spent hundreds of hours on each of the previous titles, having done several play-throughs in each, I have been spared the missing of sleep and other activities that comes with the addictiveness of a new game. I guess I'm happy in a way, but the disappointment is still a little raw, and I'll need a little time for the bitterness and sadness to subside.

    Character editor is excellent.
I love the choices of 4 different voices and different races and everything.
Just the fact that after 250 hours into the game I still find completely new things and cut scenes and developments is just astounding.
This game makes A LOT of other studios look very lazy.
Environments are beautiful, taking down dragons is super fun and although the main villain is a little bit flat. That's just the only small point of the corner of this excellent game.
To just remake the history of the game and restart is so much fun.
    Love it.

A complete run of the game will take you something like 120 hours. 100+ hours of that will be travel time and bunny hopping trying to reach locations. Almost all of the remaining time is spent wrestling with the game's combat system--companions running into walls the entire fight, squishy companions dropping everything they're doing to run into melee with the big bad enemy, inaccurate targeting of AoE spells, companions having no clue how to utilize any of the abilities you've given them, etc... This game has NONE of the tactics options we loved so much in DAO and DA2 and it's...horrible. Almost as bad, there's no real difficulty to any of the enemies; you can 1-shot the "hardest" hidden boss in the game on the highest difficulty with tragic ease starting at a pretty low level. Because there's a lack of proper design for fights, all the difficulty is cheesy artificial difficulty (dealing with bugs, dealing with bad AI) and the same holds for most of the tactics you can use.

Even if this game had the best story and characters in the history of gaming--which isn't remotely the case as the writing is mostly disappointing--99% or so if your playing experience would still be this horrible, chore-like gameplay. And the fact that so many professional reviewers completely ignore the game's extremely obvious shortcomings while they jumped on the flaws of DA2 and Jade Empire, controversial games that I think were both better than DAI, is a travesty. And bespeaks horrible incompetence.

The visual effects are gorgeous at times, and the sound effects/ambiance are adequate for the settings. The voice acting is solid, and I particularly liked the style of NPC interactions, which felt like an exchange had actually taken place.

I didn't experience any bugs or glitches, other than the party members sometimes taking up very odd positions (e.g. balancing on a rope, standing on a goat). My party members freaked me out too often for me to like them, always lurking a few steps behind me, and appearing to embarrassingly scatter if they ever did get in my way. It was liked I was being stalked by characters who wanted to be my friend, but didn't ever actually say anything to me.

The party AI and tactics are nothing less than appalling. Mages and rangers tend to pile in to melee positions, ruining any tactics planned, sometimes they just run about like headless chickens not knowing what to do. The equipment and provisions are so clumsy to equip that you can't make tactical decisions on the fly anyway ( e.g. easily swapping from range to melee weapons mid-combat). If you leave your character to try to rectify this by taking over one of the others, your main character then decides the best tactic is to do the opposite of what he was doing under your control, so if you flit back to him, your plans are ruined.

DA:I has, quite probably the worst UI ever invented as far back as I remember, with virtually everything going through the start button each time you want to make a slight change, look at the map etc - this coupled with an over exuberance for useless titbits of lore information completely destroys any immersion.

I really wanted to enjoy this game, but had to call it a day after 20 hours or so, because it just felt like a chore, rather than a pleasure to play.

    Pro's:

    - An interesting and never dull story / campaign to work through.
    - Great companions with a lot of personality and interesting side stories. For the 1st time in a long time when playing a game with multiple companions I varied my companions a lot through the game and enjoyed their banter and exploring the effect different builds had on their combat styles and usefulness in game.
    - Plenty of side quests to work through coupled with very solid back stories and lore.
    - Superb graphics with extremely well crafted and at times stunning environments (cudos to the artwork team!!).
    - Enjoyable fast-paced action rpg type combat that reminded me somewhat of the combat style of Kingdoms of Amalur (which is a good thing).

    Con's:

    - The repetitive 'go fetch 20 of this thing' quests quickly became tedious.
    - Crafting was great but I felt that 'finding' or accessing useful or high level crafting schematics was too restricted.

Areas for improvement for the next in the series:

    - Sending Leliana, Cullen and Josephine off on missions via the war table @ Skyhold was a great addition to the series. It was always fun to be able to discover or 'unlock' things via the war table.
That said Bioware could have made this a much better game feature by including some strategy elements - say for example by including 'risk' style gameplay where you could amass and move army units around to conquer and unlock regions or defeat opposing factions.

2: Precisely managing your character's movement is impossible (during a dragon fight, the AI path of my characters made them move into fire over and over again. Moving behind enemies for backstabs and out of enemy aoe attacks doesn't happen quick enough due to slow animations),

3: Using many of the skills in the game is a frustrating experience (your character won't move into line of sight when firing bow skills, and melee skills are used weather or not you are in melee range, and most melee skills will hurt your other party members if you have friendly fire on.)

Anybody giving this game a score above 5 is either a paid liar or rather clueless when it comes to games. I have been playing since the dawn of video games, so I feel rather secure that my review and grading on the game is solid after playing the game for 2 weeks. If you have a brain you may now be thinking "play the game for 2 weeks and give it a review of 3? Must be lies". Actually, I have discovered a way to enjoy this game quite a bit even though it is terribly made, and I will explain how after a short explanation of the low review.

Truly terrible combat. Excruciating repetition. Unholy camera system. Amusing lies from EA.

First the AI problems. Take the beautiful boolean (if-then) command system from the previous DA games. Throw it away. Instead, do it for the gamers, so they don't have to do it. Actually, don't do it for them, just say you did. Actually, don't mention it at all, maybe nobody will notice that you replaced their squad members with turnips.

Camera angles. If you play in a harder difficulty or don't use an OP group, you MUST use the tactical camera to command your party all at once because they are all literally dumber than any party you have ever had, ever. Bad camera work in regular play aside, the tactical cam is going to freak you out. Like "OMG people made this, the world is going to end, I have no faith in mankind" freak you out. Its broken, only rises to a low height (like 12 feet above the ground, not the necessary 30 or more for a tactical cam), and furthermore is centered on an invisible unit you must manually WALK around the battlefield to see. It gets hung up on rocks on the ground, OK?

Next the controls. Fantastic. If played on console. On computer, its maddening. Look, I could explain this, but I wrote that and a logical explanation just does not work. Its like playing with NES Super Mario Bros controls, but on PC and 3D instead of 2D, but they didn't update the controls to actually work on the PC or in 3D. These controls will NOT make you wonder how EA possibly thought this was a good idea, it will make you ask really weird soul-searching questions like "Why would I make myself do this?", and then you will cry. You will cry until the sobbing wracks your body numb and the tears soothe the savage scars you cut into your own heart. For real.

They lied. They all lied. They lied to YOU. Its possible you shouldn't buy this game on principle.

Now the good stuff. Sort of.
    The Story. It's acceptable.
The Characters. They are also acceptable.
Choices: They actually matter, but its a video game, so they don't ever actually matter. Get over it video game snobs.
The Landscaping and regions you play in: Great! Like "they probably fired all the writers and game-play testers to hire more graphic designers great." Outdoors is OK, but inside the castles, catacombs, ancient tombs. These are the parts of the game where you feel like you want more to do, more to see, more to find.

How to play this game and love it.
First: No nightmare mode. Possibly no hard mode. Both the AI and tactical controls are worthless and soul crushing to use. Circumvent this issue by never needing them. If you crave a higher difficulty, then not allowing yourself to command your teammates is a fantastic handycap. Also, enemies have higher health when the difficulty is higher, and the fights just last way too long for a game with an insane amount of fights in it. This pretty much fixes combat for me, now its kinda fun.
Second: set all party members AI to "FOLLOW" "THEMSELVES" then never touch it again. The defend command is broken and following any other characters is super annoying because you have to change it all the time.
Last: Play a Melee class. You have to protect your allies, cause they are just too stupid to do it right, so you need to be awesome. Play any warrior, a dagger rogue or a mage knight-enchanter. Its harder to carry as a ranged class, and frankly this is a button mashing game, its far more satisfying to do that up close and personal. Don't like button mashing games? Stay away.

Hope this helped somebody who really, really, really wanted to play this game, but found out its horrible.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First of all I apologize for my English.

I created this account only for Dragon Age Inquisition (The worst game ever, for me).

I played Dragon Age Origins which was almost perfect game for me and replayed it many times. Even last time when I use cheats to be almost immortal, I enjoyed this game because of epic story, dialogs and many other things. The combat system in DA:O is good. I am real fan of this game. Then they released Dragon Age 2.... For me not bad game, not bad at all. Differences is huge from first game but it still playable. I played DA 2, I think 4 times, includes last time with cheats to complete faster to start new game. Want to say I waited Dragon Age Inquisition very, very much. I pre-ordered it as well. Before it released I played last two games as I mention with cheats. So I can compare the all three games with no hesitation. First two games I always beat on Nightmare even in first tries. They are very hard games on that difficulty, but I manage to complete them with no problems. After I complete this games I start the "Epic" Dragon Age Inquisition.

I started it of course on Nightmare. I forget to mention that I am PC gamer, only PC and I think all people must burn all this damn consoles! F......k them! I apologize. So this game is unplayable on pc at least it is very hard. You can't use mouse to walk, if you suddenly press left button the slow animated attack begins... It is not very bad but irritate as hell. You can't pick up loot as in previous games. Now you must came very close to what you want to pick up. Why EA done this, why this sudden changes to controls? Because they planned this game for consoles, I think only for consoles. But!!!! yei you can jump like an idiot. This I wanted so hard. Can't imagine an RPG game without this option, this so useful!!!!!!! Maybe the brains of developers team jumps out from them and go to find better thing to do. And it's not actual RPG game at all. So I can tell that controls are insane on mouse and keyboard. Tactical camera is a abomination of the tactical cameras of previous two games.

So this crappy parody of Dragon Age is not an actual RPG as I mentioned before. Its action MMO style game with some elements of real RPG. The EAware ruined it very hard. For example the core game quests is MMO style, go to A location, collect X items then go to B location and do it again, and again, an so on.... If developers think it's cool to be like farmer or miner, or crappy cowboy, why they cant simply create miner or harvest simulator games! I say that I am Inquisitor not a fu...g peasant!! This is unacceptable. If They want to create MMO game so create it, please do not ruin epic franchises like Dragon Age. This is Legendary universe! But now it completely consumed buy real world taint. I mean the money and business. DA:I has the most horrible quests in all games that I played before. This many hours of useless quest have no impact on main story. And I can tell that main quests is also very poor and simple, very little of interest. The story of Dragon Age universe ruined for me completely, dead and forgotten. The EA cares only for many. They forget about old fans that like this epic storyline in DA:O and some of DA 2 like me. Developers made this game for 9 years old kids who don't cares about plot just like smash everything in casual mod and jump in not an open world. There is many invisible walls and it feels like old DA2 corridor game, only this corridors is slightly wider.

The characters are boring and stupid, fail monotone dialogs. In combat your allies like bunch of stupid fat sheep or pigs that are very brainless. Maybe I play this game when people create cheats and you can solo Nightmare mod instant kill all enemies. The skill system is worse than in DA 2 simple skill trees. Attribute are don't exists at all. Ok there is attributes but you can't do anything with them like in last games. Maybe you want powerful magic based mage with small amount of HP and Mana. But no you can't, you must play that we pro epic develop team create. And why there is no Healers???? They are MUST to be. So many other fail thing with this game. I played it for 28 hours and bored to death with this single player MMO game. I deleted it and destroyed my origin account. I never buy new games from Bioware. They are dead. I miss the times that I spend in DA:O and DA 2. And for mu opinion Skrym is better that this piece of .......

I do not recommend it for old RPG gamers. If you dream of epic continue Dragon Age story I think you all will be disappointed. It is not Dragon Age anymore. Goodbye my favorite game. The EA ruined all my favorite games: Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

    Thank you for reading.

    Pros:
    1. For somebody who really focuses on the story quality before anything else in games (the graphics can be crappy, combat awful, but if the story is good, I am in) I was not disappointed. It is not on the level of Dragon Age: Origins, but with all the companion quests, romance and main quest story lines, the game still had me from first to last moment.
    2. All the familiar faces from the previous games, and the fact that you can talk about your characters, makes my continuity loving heart happy.
    3. Great companions with distinct personalities. Some are better than others, mind you, but I didn’t feel disconnected from them, which is an improvement. (I do like Sera, but they needed to make her less of a caricature; she would have been a much better character if they toned her down just a bit.)
    4. Huge open world where you can move nearly anywhere you want. I mean it, huge! Now, let it be stated I am not a fan of sandbox games, so sometimes it seems too much, but the necessary number of side quests needed to grab enough power for the main quest line kept me entertained, for the most part. This might be an issue on replays, though. (Also, you can jump! Okay, I might be a bit too excited about that, but that was one of my pet peeves in Bioware games.)
    5. The diversity. Bioware was always an inclusive game, and they keep on that path, to my immense joy. Seeing a world not populated by strictly white CIS straight men and eye-candy woman is mildly put refreshing in gaming environments.
    6. Josephine. Nuff’ said.
    Cons:
    1. Controls leave a lot to be desired. When I click with my left mouse button, I want to initiate an auto attack on my enemy and move to them, not start flailing my sward in the air 10 meters away from the mob. They did implement an auto attack button in a patch, but that is still not even close to the simplicity of left mouse click.
    2. Crafting is not intuitive at all. Honestly, it’s a mess I mostly left unused but for when strictly necessary. They really need to work on this.
    3. A lot of side content leaves a lot of silent questing. While I know they can’t make 200 hours’ worth of party banter, that is still one of my favorite elements of their games, and for this much content more was required to fill the empty space.
    All in all, highly recommended.

Standard Bioware excellent character creation and voice acting. Your companions are believable and they make you care about them (provided you take the time to talk to them). Comedy abounds. Lots of good crafting options, and the player is encouraged to craft items, as crafted items are usually always better than what you will find out in the world.

Cons: The game can at times become tedious. Stopping every 5 feet to pick up a rock or pick a flower for crafting resources, or being attacked every 15 feet by a pack of demons or wolves can become a grind. Some serious technical issues, such as ludicrously long load times, serious clipping issues or NPC's sometimes bouncing around, damage the immersion factor. Combat controls can also be frustrating if you don't remember to move your cursor out of the ability bar before trying to move your character. Combat also doesn't require much tactical thought at all, and can easily be accomplished with just left clicking and with the periodic click of a special ability, without ever entering tactical view. Attribute assignment is now handled automatically, and character specialization is more limited than the other 2 DA titles. The missing approval rating indicator also makes it difficult to gauge where you sit with your companions.

I concur with other posters that I wish Bioware would dispense with the multiplayer element it introduced in ME3 and kept in DAI. I've never so much as entered the multiplayer screen for DAI, and never intend to. The multiplayer element just wasted resources and development time, that could have gone into fixing the technical issues and polishing the final release. As for a couple of the poster's complaints about party dialogue sound issues, I'm wondering if they aren't experiencing some serious hardware related sound distortion, because my experience in that regard was quite positive.

DAI is a far superior game to DA2 but not without it's caveats. Aside from far larger areas to explore and much better visuals, it carries high replay value, with distinctly different reactions by people you encounter based on the race of your character. Numerous dialog choices along plot lines also change your reception, and of course your approval with your party members. Unfortunately the technical issues and grindy game play drag it down. DAI is not perfect, but I would say it's still worth your entertainment dollar and all in all, an enjoyable ride.

(I've been a fan of Bioware since the days of KOTOR and Mass Effect 1. Unfortunately I have to concur with some other posters, that I think Bioware is going backwards since being bought out by EA. While they are getting some things right, like the expansive environment in DAI, the focus seems more and more on button mashing combat and pushing unfinished titles out the door to meet release dates. The result are games which are grand in scale, but still leave a poor after taste in the mouth due to technical issues and bland repetitive game play. To quote another reviewer; "A mile wide and an inch deep".)

There are serious strategic dilemmas and a high moral tone. The theme of racism is given due attention, along with the natural tendency for faction. I found the controls easy to master with a reasonable variety of effects and complex skills trees. Anybody with fond memories of 'Origins' will love this!

I think that if they had spent a little less time creating up SO many things to do in the world and redirected that effort into making those fewer things to do more meaningful, the game could have been one of the finest action-RPGs of its generation.

I see a lot of weird conservative reviews citing disgust for the LGBT promotion, and... it's actually a little bit hard to defend the game in this case. I'm pretty liberal, and I was cringing a lot at some of the gender & sexuality mini-lectures they snuck into the dialogue. Come on, Bioware. You're not going to change anyone's mind by preaching. Just let us meet new characters and make up our own minds about them. Leaving that aside, I still believe that an over-compensation for typical character archetypes is better than falling into the archetypes themselves--so, it could have been worse.

As a PC gamer, I found the port to be tolerable, if only just. It certainly beats Dark Souls. I have a powerful machine, and the game looks spectacular on maxed settings--especially the environments. A lot of work was put into this game, and it deserves to be played.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is right up the ally for the COD generation.. I don't understand for the life of me, why so many reviewers are tripping over themselves to give this garbage 9's and 10's.. What disappointed me the most is how nothing seems to matter, everything happens in isolation. In DA:O it had huge importance if you e.g. romanced and influenced Alistair in a certain way. Everything in the game seemed to follow this path, where every choice you made interacted with people and the world around them. Nothing you do in Inquisition affects the story whatsoever. For instance me siding with Celene didn’t affect Orlesian support, nor did my destroying the Darkspawn army in anyway weaken Corypheus, and any troops I lost to fighting the darkspawn didn’t affect my army’s performance when I attacked Corpyheus in the Arbor wilds. And Blackwall should be the one guy I thought would be pleased with me destroying a darkspawn army and my approval rating with him would skyrocket. It didn't affect him what so ever. I just finished DA:I and I'm very disappointed. What has BioWare done with this great game series. DA:I is a bad offline MMO with disagreeable and ugly companions (Sera, Vivienne,... seriously wtf). I hope BioWare goes back to their roots and will make again games like Dragon Age Origins or Mass Effect 2.

This is by far the biggest disappointment of my gaming years, which are well over 20 now. It is a single player MMO. DA:O was a fantastic game and I enjoyed every minute of it, I did not like DA2 as much, but it was still a good experience. I cannot even begin to say what is wrong with this game: it is a damn console port, combat feels clunky, it is virtually unplayable with keyboard and mouse. Tactical camera is there just so the developers can say it is there, it does nothing, but the game is so basic and easy you do not need it anyway. There is no click to move or click to loot, you basically have to go to every object and click on it. The world, although beautiful, feels lifeless and empty and the story is confusing. At times I did not even know what I have to do in order to progress in story, so I just went to an area, closed rifts and grinded sill, stupid and redundant side quests and that opened up the main story progression. The characters are not memorable at all, I will never forgive Bioware what they did to poor Varrick. There is no sense of progression, because all skilltrees are just not interesting and you end up filling everything anyway. But again, it does not matter, because the combat is not challenging at all. There is no excitement when opening chest or looting fallen enemies, because gear is simply boring in this game. It would be an eye-candy, but alas, all the characters seem like made of vex and what the hell is going on with hair? It sits there in place just like a damn helmet. Avoid spending money on this cash grabbing fraud, which is, naturally, the way that EA does things. Dragon Age and Mass Effect were the only games I bought from EA, but now I can safely say that I will never buy anything from EA again. Avoid! Expand

Some of the quests are very good and inventive, but about third of them is a MMO trash. Or even mobile free to play trash. If you are a completionist, this can break your enjoyment.

Another thing to note are the long loading times. You really should have SSD hard drive.

So to sum it up. If you own a gamepad, have an SSD and are fine with the fact that it is mostly an action game, it is a pretty solid 7. If they cut third of the game and made the combat a little better it could have easily been 8,5.

The game feels so bad there can not be enough negative reviews, so here goes.

I am absolutely blown away by the surreal beauty of the game, the voice acting is insane, the story and characters are so rich and meaningful and the world is like a character of its own. I've never had so much fun touring around areas and discovering the wonders of the world they created (move over skyrim).

The story and political intrigue around building the inquisition is so well done - I feel invested in the choices I'm making - especially the religious dynamic - which as an atheist is a stretch. But I'm toiling over whether to accept the praises of my followers and acknowledge their belief in me (even though I'm a dwarf!), or whether to deny them based on my own uncertainty. I can't wait to see what I'll decide as the tale unwinds.

Gameplay is a good mix between DA 1 and (ick) 2. Bringing back at least a modicum of the majesty that was DAO's combat system. And replacing tactics with the ability preference system seems logical to me as DA2's more action oriented system made tactics almost useless/unworkable. Is it an old school RPG in the baldur's gate vein? No, it is more of a hybrid between WoW, Fable/Mordor and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. But it blends all these styles so well - I am *loving* the game play of the dual wielding rogue - and the random times that I use Casandra or Varric, it's a treat to see the game's different play styles come to life.

And finally the epic mission to build your powerbase, the agents, resource hunting, crafting, politics - unbelievable. No one can pull this off like BioWare. Yes I hate EA, yes they have "dumbed down this game for the console peasants" - but man did Bioware shine through the manipulation and profiteering. Thank god they kept stupid micro-transactions and incessant DLC out of the game.

This is one for the ages - and makes Dragon Age the best overall RPG franchise in history (IMHO). Yes, DA2 was a broken, repetitive, movie on rails piece of garbage - but being book ended by the epic, traditional masterpiece that was DAO and this gem of an action RPG almost (almost...) erases its horror from my memory!

PS. I have a beast of a PC, so I can't comment on performance issues. Plays amazing on ultra settings (with a few slowdowns here and there) with my 2014 xmas ~$400 purchased video card (AMD R9 200 series?). Loading times are still terrible, but what can you do.

I'm not gonna enter into a detail over the clumsy PC gameplay, the horrible tactical camera (camera bumping into terrain obstacles? seriously?), having to move the mouse pointer away and back to the thing you want to click (be it a dialog line or an object), having to make do with only 8 active skills, etc etc. I'm even willing to forget about being forced to wear what I can only describe as a concentration camp uniform, even when I had to live all the romance scenes dressed in THAT. Bugs and crashes? Lots but let's forget them. I can bypass it all if I'm given a good game.

What I'm really sad about is the story and dialogs for the most part. That's what makes a good game or, like in this case, ruins it.

Bioware's strong point was always characters first and story a close second. This time with the exception of a couple of beautifully written characters, it all falls really short. It's like the suits at EA said "it's okay, the people that will buy the game won't mind". It's bland, used a million times before, there's no sense of epicness, I don't feel a connection to my companions or to the world in general. For the most part it didn't make me feel ANYTHING and I'm someone that cried a lot playing Planescape: Torment and felt utterly afraid during most of NWN2.

Up until the end I kept waiting and waiting. I kept saying to myself that the good parts would come at the end, that the 220+ hours invested (yeah I pause a lot) completing everything will pay off somehow. People I helped will come to my aid, companions I befriended will act according to that friendship, war table operations will influence somehow the outcome. None of this ever happens and none of it really matters. None. You can rush through the game and be given the same bland story, and whether your companions like you or not, it makes no difference. The good parts never come.

After the starved less-than-10-slides epilogue and when the credits started to roll, that's when I started to feel something: a mixture of profound sadness and rage towards the company. Selling this game as a "back to the roots, true DA:O sequel" is a rip-off, no matter how cheap you charge for it. It's a LIE. That's what the world has become, that's where it's headed. A profit-driven lie, where quality is stomped on if it means saving a few bucks in staff or developing time.

I read somewhere that the best writers left Bioware at the end of ME2. I'd love to know where they're working now so I can buy their games, but never from Bioware again.

    Because Bioware is dead.

Bioware have done much with patches to make the games controls better, and while they're not as good as Dragon Age Origins, they're a lot better, and now I can actually play the game, I think the story more than makes up for it, it really is amazing when you get the campaign going.

Unfortunately the game is marred by a number of technical issues on the PC version specifically that made play aggravating at times. A large chunk of play time is taken up by dull search-and-recover side quests. The tactical camera, such a huge part of Origins combat, is mostly useless. Characters, though entertaining, often lacked development or multi-dimensionality, and a pair of awesome plot twists weren't able to save the game from an otherwise underwhelming ending. Bioware continues to make improvements to the playability of their PC version, but it's unfortunate that the most loyal fans of the series, the ones who bought the game first at full price, were hit with the worst of it. This game does deliver however, but requires a great deal of investment early on. For instance only after playing 10+ hours did I feel the story come together. I originally bought this game on ps4 and soon traded it in since the restricted input afforded by a controller made the game tedious and clunky to play; this like many RPGs are much better on PC given the easier and more varied management of input (keyboard + mouse that is). I decided to give it a second go after replaying the mass effect series (extremely recommended) when I thought I should give bioware another go and it does pay off in the long term. If youre interested in character investment and significant decision making in the game (similar to mass effect 2 squad selection and mass effect 3 race recruitment) this is certainly a good candidate. I believe some strategy and tactical gameplay is required in this game although it may be more frustrating for hardcore DA fans to bear; for me it was good fun without being too simplified.

The only faults I can see in my opinion is that I would have appreciated the option to explore a darker plot (ie whether to become corrupt as inquisitor, turn on allies after the war, etc etc) which would have made the story more mature (and better rounded) rather than an everybody lives happily ever after type ending. Additionally the games story seems to rap up very quickly towards the end and the final boss battle is fairly underwhelming (major bad guy could have been better voice acted to make him scarier in my view too) especially If you craft weapons or amour which easily outmatch any collectibles in the game.

Bottom line is I would very much recommend this as a story rich RPG that allows a lot of freedom in terms of achieving story objectives (e.g recruiting mages or Templars to the order etc) with the above caveats.

Recommended although not quite as good as mass effect trilogy (what is...?) The storys definitely quite good IMHO, certainly the most ambitious RPG to date and 95% of the time it pulls it off well

Gameplay and combat work with the emphasis on magic and trickery/tactics rather than straight forward hack and slash. In the past from the days of BG I have always preferred a warrior type role. However having played this game three times, I have to now say that I got more fun out of playing a mage or a rogue than a straightforward tank type character which I found a little tedious in single player. "Go Bash something" has limited appeal for me in this games combat.

The other issue is that with average game length of around 150 hours this game with all it's areas (open worlds?) is exhausting and presents endurance challenges (that is if you want to do everything outside the core quest) that are excessive in their demand. Also unlike DAO warriors and rogues do not have the flexibility to weapon switch in combat between melee and ranged attacks which I found a little irritating

Overall still a very rewarding experience provided you can stay the distance and interact with everyone but not, despite the huge effort put into this, as fulfilling, as DAO.

Y'know I didn't really want to kill the dragons as they were gorgeous, but I needed both the XP and the goodies so one does what one has to

    PROS: Graphic and Music
    CONS: Everything else

Content of the game is huge, but 80% of that content is boring as hell. Example no.1 - You need to connect starts, in basics you connect dots with lines(last time i did this in kindergarten), you need to connect all dots in one area (and there is several places to do so), so you can revel location of some kind of loot. And then you will repeat this process in other areas also. Example no.2 - You need to scout the area with some kind of magnifying glass to look for the shards, then you need to go and collect that shards in the area, then you need to take that shards in some cave, also to collect some kind of loot, then you will repeat this over and over and over. Sounds fun. Ok, enough about boring stuff, lets talk about combat. Tactical combat is something worst i ever experienced in last 20 years of gaming. Its so bad, its like when i engage in combat, i wish i could collect some more shards and connecting dots. View is horrible, controls are horrible, AI is horrible (and no! you cant adjust your party members), they are just idiotic, yea they will cast fire spells on fire immunity creature. So your solution is to turn of AI and manually coordinate every single move, so that every fight will last half hour, half hour of terrible view and controls. Second combat alternative is to play in real time with over the shoulder cam. In that case you lover your game difficulty, and jump around while your party members deal with enemy`s. Who would not want that ?

To summarize, i played it for 30-40 hours and i really wanted to give this game a chance, especially it was not cheap, but i just could not play it any more, i give up. At the end of story i rate this game 5/10. And i feel really generous today. Cya all.

Game-play: The combat in DA:I is pretty simplistic but very fun and easy to use but with specials that feel unique to each character choice i didn't get bored of the combat. the tactical camera is also a nice feature too, and although i didn't use it to much i did bring it up when fighting multiple/ tough bosses. it adds a nice strategic tough to the game. there were some technical glitches in my play through but it didn't hamper the experience to much

Content: the story was very good in this game and for me the relationships you build with each of the characters was better then the actual story itself and that's what makes this game a great one, because you care about what happens to them. one thing i was a little disappointed in was that i wish my choices had a little more sway in the overall story but outside of a few moments i felt it didn't dynamically effect the story. another great thing is how much stuff there is to do i loved the puzzle quests and the different items you could collect. each side quest i did felt like it was meaningful and going towards a bigger cause and the more puzzle like ones reward you with great weapons/armor

If you have an Nvidia video card you should also brace for the crashing, which happens during every single cutscene. Don't worry about getting emotionally involved in the characters background, unless you want to watch their faces to freeze in the stupidest expressions over and over again. There is no guaranteed fix as of yet.

Other flaws: The hairstyles are ugly as sin, your character wears some seriously odd- and completely unchangeable- clothes during pretty much every important cut scene in the game, so long as it's at your base or during the ball. Also the success of certain buffs are pre-determined, so that little window saying you have an 80% chance of succeeding in enchantment? It's lying. Because determinism, or something.

Still, there is plenty to enjoy in DA:I. Some characters come back, and you get to see Hawke with the stupidest haircut in existence, and puffy chipmunk cheeks. It's oddly adorable. Varric's chest hair even makes a guest appearance! There are plenty of major and minor characters who you get to interact with in a meaningful way- some of whom you even get to kill. Also: there is goat throwing.

This is a good game, but it's still miles away from the original Dragon Age: Origins. And Dragon Age: Origins was miles away from Mass Effect and KOTOR which were miles away from Some older Bioware games. My point being - Play DA: I, it's nice, but it's a fact that Bioware is going backwards.

It lacks creative direction and focus, and there is a jarring gulf between game play and narrative. There are no glaring contradictions in the story telling as in DA2, but the attempts at moral ambiguity are toned down. The story of DAI is better written than that of its predecessor, but it is also much less ambitious. Most of your choices are clear cut and the villain is wafer thin and uninteresting. Your allies are conveniently accommodating, and why they should follow you is left unclear and implausible. Environments are beautiful and huge, but while the devs clearly spent years making them they also clearly spent only a few weeks on the combat which is a lengthy and boring grind with barely any attempts at realism. In fact, combat in DA:I is almost a self-satire. You run at your enemies, spin around, shout at them, blow your horn in their ears, bite them, pour a hot fluid on yourself to inspire yourself to gain stamina, you reel them towards you with a grappling hook, you take damage on your allies' behalf, you fire arrows that put them to sleep, you hit them with your shield or the pommel of your sword, etc., All of it is implausible cartoony nonsense. It's also poorly tested. Consider the charm spell, which allows you to make the spirit of an enemy fight for your side after you've killed them. If you're sealing a rift, your charmed spirit must first die before the next wave spawns, making it useless. The devs seem to have been inspired by Two Worlds 2 because strategy is not well rewarded and enemies are hp sponges, and never feel genuinely dangerous. You can either play the game on an easy setting and control only one character in real time, or you can play on a harder difficulty as I did (hard and nightmare) and micromanage a very long sequence of poorly rewarded combos. Most of the game is spent in combat, so its poor execution really wears down the player. The rest of the game is exploration through beautiful terrain, but usually in pursuit of a collection of unneeded things in exchange for unneeded "points". It's Pac Man in Thedas. Your character collects magic shards, bottles of booze, mosaic pieces, letters from dying soldiers, supply caches, books, quarries, wood stashes, key fragments, metals, herbs, relics, all while destroying lyrium shards, planting flags, activating fade spheres, drawing constellations and other busy work. There is so much of this low quality filler it's easy to forget that this is supposed to be a narrative-based RPG, and it's easy to lose emotional investment in what is going on. The point system is also ultimately disappointing. It would have made much more sense if the final fight was made easier by having a higher point score. For example, if you needed to fight through a number of goons inversely proportional to your power score. But no, the score doesn't really matter.

The strong side of DA:I is its characters. They are likeable and sometimes even interesting. They have their own individual quests. Unfortunately, the writing for them is a bit inconsistent. It's almost as if Bioware's writers had conflicting visions of what the game should be, and they are constantly trying to obfuscate that confusion with unanswered questions and feigned depth. Some of these writers are talented, but others think that out-of-character shock value is good writing. Consider Leliana's reunion with her friend in the chantry, whom she shortly kills. Whoever wrote that is probably the same person who wrote the idiotic quest from DA2 where Hawke's mother is killed, or who made Udina work for Cerberus in ME3. If you're out of ideas, shock 'em! I say fire this person. There are so many good writers out there you don't need this moron.

Speaking of writing, why does every dying soldier have the sudden urge to write a letter and spawn a fedex quest? Why are people in Thedas so keen to write diaries that are strewn about in ruins and castles? I actually read most of the codex in DA:I. Honeslty, as codex goes it's not bad, but the bar isn't exactly high in modern RPGs. It's so bland that I can hardly remember any of it.

Oh and the Canadianisms are tongue in cheek. Sahrnia? Hinterland Who's Who? Riel? Very funny Bioware. Very fecking funny.

Over all. A pretty game with some strong points and an ocean of filler. 6/10

I won't bother to counter the meta-reviews some are partaking in - either you will enjoy this game (possibly to the extent I do, possibly less so) or you will be made incapable of doing so by an irrational bias against BioWare and it's current design idiom. In the latter case, there's nothing to be done and I won't bother arguing with zealots.

For those who aren't predisposed to despise the game, there's a great deal to enjoy here. It is absolutely true that the minor quests are of a more 'MMO-style', and whether or not that's to your taste is something you'll have to decide for yourself. I personally found them engaging enough that I completed almost all of the content the game had to offer. Moreover, these quests are a counterpoint to the grand scale of the main plotline, which contains some of the best secondary character writing I've ever seen in a game. Narratively, this game compares very well with Mass Effect 2.

The combat in this game is also enjoyable, and if you play on a higher difficult will reward care and micro-management. If you'd prefer a more 'cinematic' style of combat, dialing the difficulty down to normal will reward you.

There's little else to be said here. Give the game a go. While you may not find it as swoon-inducing as I did, I think you'll like it if you come at it with an open mind.

The controls aren't that bad and after remapping keys to be a regular TPS, the only thing left is the need to continuously press the right mouse to look around: some toggle options would be nice, although I got used to it (similar to Assassin's Creed where I almost always free run with shift+right mouse. The game has some bugs: uncollectable collectables, hangs and stutter in cutscenes (played on high with GTX 660), but at least haven't run into any showstoppers. Bugs are common in newly released games, but not fixing them for months has no excuse. After spending 70+ hours, I don't feel any urge to replay with a different build. Expand

What I liked: The graphics were good and I was quite impressed with the music. The tavern songs are folksy and have been performed by an actual artist making them pretty easy on the ear.

What I didn't like: The story felt pretty shallow and strongly reminded me of Mass Effect 3. It was like a cheesy hollywood B list film broken up by MMO side quests that didn't have any great reward.

The companions were terrible. The only one who I actually liked was Blackwall who felt more than two dimensional. The rest annoyed me and I only used them out of necessity rather than out of a feeling of companionship.

Conclusion: The game is okay, more of an action RP than a story driven one that you would expect from Bioware. I think their best work is behind them and this game is made worse when you consider just how good Dragon Age Origins was.

So what is it about? Well, the game gives you a giant world, a clear goal, and a ton of quality (compared to things like Skyrim at least) content, with a huge focus on "doing things your way, living your own fantasy, crafting your character". There are tons of what to some might seem like pointless quests or combat, because they do not advance the main plotline. That is because the purpose is character building and roleplaying (you know, that whole "roleplaying" thing, the R in RPG). This is a different focus than the previous two games, and if you come in expecting the same plot focus from before you will be disappointed and missing out.

The lore is amazing. Bioware releases books along with their games, and the books for Dragon Age have been critical to the development of Inquisitions (most important being Asunder and Masked Empire). If you do not read the books you are 1) missing out and 2) don't really have a right to complain since you are not their target audience. It is not optional if you are serious about playing the games. And don't even get me started on people who skipped the previous games or even Dragon Age Awakening. Pretty much if you do not have a passionate opinion going into dragon age about how to solve the mage problem then don't bother, this game is not for you.

Some of the boring bla bla bla stuff:
-Great writing (its a bioware game, duh)
-Great music (again, its a bioware game)
-Extremely progressive ideals (if you have a problem with trans people, gtfo, and this game is not for you)
-Meh graphics (pretty, but not really on par with most next-gen)
-Lots of glitches, crashes once every 5-10 hours (for the third time, its a bioware game, we expect this), but nothing that makes the game unplayable.
-The animation for the first few hours is really badly done, but later it gets better and enjoyable. I do not know why.
-The best and most comprehensive lore and worldbuilding from any high fantasy game you have ever heard of.
-Excellent voice acting (its a bioware game! Of course this is true!)
-Meh combat (The combat is where it falls flat the biggest, it is not a good action combat game like Skyrim, and not a good tactical game like Dragon Age Origins, and it is a lot easier than it should be, although in the end it is still enjoyable, just not as good as we should be expecting from Bioware).

In the end, you play this game because you love the dragon age lore, because you love the world and want to explore it and see events through, but most importantly because you love roleplaying games! (The RP is for roleplaying).

You will end up not enjoying this game if you are looking for a combat focused experience, or because you are new to the series, or because you do not care about lore or worldbuilding. You have to bring your own motivation to this game.

The interface for the PC version is atrocious, I was constantly battling the camera. Tactical camera is a joke compared to earlier iterations in this series. A huge chunk of the new NPCs (once a Bioware cornerstone - remember HK-47?) are so annoying I found myself partying up with a half-full roster just to have them out of my hair (some rise to being merely ok, some are particularly loathsome - Sera feels like handholding a particularly bratty 14 year old Cockney moppet throughout). The returning faces from earlier in the series are as cool as they were, but AI glitches mar their usefulness in combat (why would Varrick armed with his Bianca constantly be running up to blast away at people at point-black range, even when he had a clear line of fire?).
The maps are bigger and have more secrets to find, but the way they're put together and interacted with is still primitive, and possibly constrained by this being a poor-quality console port. I can't think of any other reason for the multi-level Val Royeaux marketplace to be chopped up into 10 different, tiny quadrants that have to be fast-traveled between - either a limitation of how much can be rendered within the console version's constraints or a bafflingly poor design choice. Other games in this genre - Skyrim, the Witcher series, etc - have done far better and looked far better doing it.
Combat is a meh affair where, in addition to fighting the camera, you will often be fighting your own party members' AIs. There are some tweaks you can do to have them prefer, disallow or use normally their powers while under AI control, but often when you give them orders in tactical view they will simply disregard them and do whatever they want. This is especially frustrating with the protagonist while engaging in rift battles - you may leave him or her covered and give them the command to work their magic MacGuffin on the rift to seal/weaken it, then look back moments later and find out they decided to run around or fight some random mob nearby instead. Bioware billed Inquisition as the triumphant return of tactical view that had been missing from II, but what they dredged back up is a flawed and creaking shadow of what once was.
The overarching plot is... okay, not great. The pacing is extremely offputting, particularly towards the end and around the Hinterlands portion, as many reviews have noted. It's not as compelling as Origins or II by a long shot, however.
I haven't mentioned multiplayer because I haven't bothered to play it - after the lackluster singleplayer showing it seemed pretty pointless.
Long story short - like ME3, this game seems to be Bioware so up themselves about their craft that they completely forgot to put in the heart and good character writing that they were once known for. Probably the last of their RPGs I'll buy; there are better choices on the market these days. Save your money, pick up the new Witcher for something that will out-Bioware Bioware, or Divinity Original Sin for something more retro, indie, and silly/funny.

Simply put - the story is uninspired & what is interesting the game fails at delivering it in a timely fashion. Sometimes if given enough time a game/story can get interesting, but how much time are we talking? If the story hasn't 'grabbed' me within the first 12 hours of gameplay, then frankly it has missed the mark.

Missions can add to the story, keep players interested, can be quite engaging if done right - unfortunately, most of the missions in DAI are repetitive, boring, endless MMO types. I don't understand why the developers would make players grind out neverending boring missions when this is a single player game. They should have aimed for quality over quantity.

    2. Characters & Dialogue:

Some of the group banter is alright, but for the most part it was uninteresting and just felt 'off'. It was nowhere near as good as Dragon Age Origins.

The dialogue was dull/bland, and inconsequential in that whatever dialogue options you chose it didn't really make a difference.

Ultimately, I never really connected/cared for any of the companions.

    3. Combat:

DAI combat is far less strategic than Dragon Age Origins. Everything has been watered down, which I suspect was done to cater to the console market. The strategic view (overhead camera) seems more of an afterthought, so much so that I seldom ever used it. Most battles are click-fests where you press the same button repeatedly. In DAO battles were fun & at times quite the challenge, but in Inquisition battles are generic, simple, & after a while become incredibly boring.

Controlling certain types of characters like warriors & rogues via the Keyboard & mouse during combat is a struggle due to counterintuitive controls i.e. no auto attack. After a few starts, I opted to go with a mage character which I found easier to control (usually stand in one place during combat).

If your character utilizes range, then you can shoot enemies from a considerable distance & they will either do nothing, or run towards you. Your companions will attack also, BUT if the range is too great between you & the enemy there is a problem. There is a limit to how far companions can be from you & once they go beyond that, they automatically get teleported back to your side.

    4. Irritation & Annoyance:

Loot placement is nonsensical. Treasure chests are placed in the most illogical places imaginable. Behind bushes in the middle of nowhere, bottom of stairs & almost always never guarded (none of the NPC care what you take). Game developers are usually lazy in this regard, but Dragon Age Inquisition takes it to a whole new level.

Some sound effects do not precisely reflect the environment around your character. Instead generic environment sounds are used which continually play in a loop.

Moving over certain terrain can cause your character to slip and slide (can be infuriating).

Endless mining metals & harvesting herbs. The game puts you in the role of a leader & yet you spend a ridiculous amount of time mining & harvesting. Maybe this makes sense for an MMO, but in a single player game it only serves to annoy.

Mounts are great, but you can't search while on them.

Some NPCs are paired and you cannot run in between them even if the space looks sufficient to pass.

Most NPC do not interact with each other i.e. if being attacked near a camp or city NPC are oblivious to what is going on..

    5. Conclusion/Verdict:

A good game almost always has to have that 'wow' factor. Something that grabs you & makes you want to keep on playing. Maybe the combat, extraordinary graphics, an interesting story - something. Sadly Dragon Age Inquisition has none of these. The game is boring, tedious, and there were many moments where I had ZERO motivation to keep playing. I persisted though, kept playing hoping it would get better... it didn't.

There is no way to sugarcoat the fact DAI is nothing more than a big, bloated, clunky game, which was likely originally made as an MMO for consoles. The AI is 'confined' & unintelligent, the environment is static - everything is 'controlled' (no unexpected/unscripted events). I think the developers looked to other games for inspiration & ended up losing sight of what made Dragon Age Origins so great. Inquisition is a game that tries to do everything & as consequence doesn't do any one particular thing well - including the story which is surprising given that this is usually Bioware's strongest point.

The last thing I want to comment on are the stellar reviews given by the 'professional' critics. I am completely baffled at how any objective person could give this game a rating of 85% or higher (one reviewer gave it 100%). As a consumer, I really feel 'duped' by them & in my eyes they have lost all credibility

Jeez, the industry is going even further down, isn't it? Stupid generic plot copying Oblivion, bad graphics with tons and tons of blur and bloom and a **** MMORPG-style gameplay just don't make it good at all. How the hell it got GOTY 2014? Ground Zeroes or Far Cry 4 deserve it a lot more.

Action and fighting were too similar to DA2 for me to enjoy. I'd just play that game again but oh that one was just as bad. The engine was very unimpressive. In fact I actually prefer DAO in almost every aspect. I'm guessing there was either no competition or a very fat bribe was used for DAI to get game of the year. I give this game a 3 and nothing higher due to price vs. quality. If I had paid $5, this game would have received a 10 but at full retail, 3 is probably more than it deserves. Also, not worth a replay. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I signed up just to write about how much this game sucks. Why? Well...

1st: Awful console port. Controls are clearly designed for PS4/XBOne. You can't even use the mouse to clic and grab something that is more than 3 feet away from you.

2nd: Awful combat system. No more epic battles like in DAO. Now it's all like "smash all the buttons, drink some potions, win".

3rd: Open world? I'm not sure. You have many huge maps that in one game, but that doesn't feel like open world. And many times you have to take a specific path to go from A to B. It's really annoying.

4th: Boring story. What started like an epic journey in DAO with the Grey Wardens vs archidemons faded away and now is a boring political story (mages vs templars) plus a demon trying destroy everything (that should be the main story, but feels like a background story).

5th: Plot holes. Everywhere. Templars siding with the demon? / The most important person in the world (the inquisitor) doing missions like "hey, I lost my ring, go find it" / A tranquil with feelings? (Samson) / Dalish clans not hidden and dwarven ruins all around the world? / And lots of stuff like this that doesn't make sense.

6th: A LOT of trivial quest that doesn't make the game better or enjoyable. 80% of the game is based in this kind of quests. You feel like you're losing your time.

    7th: Lame optimization.

And I could go on and on...

It is always good to start on a positive note…I think. With that, let’s talk about Thedas. It really is a beautiful world and exploring new regions within it are refreshing and awe-inspiring. The Desert Oasis and Western Approach in Orlais, for example, are rich terrains that provide a nice retreat from the mountains, woodlands, deep roads and walled cities that are so common in fantasy games. Those areas are still beautiful and full of detail but the new regions really inspire the explorer within.
The main story is good, albeit short. The protagonist character is likeable and his/her role as The Inquisitor is mysterious and meaningful. The party companions like to talk about themselves, a lot. This offers hours of dialogue in itself. This can range from mundane to interesting but all in all it adds depth and personality to their identities. They also provide amusing background banter while wandering about. Varric, in particular, provides a very humorous commentary as he saunters beside you throughout the land.
Both the ambient sounds and music are fantastic. The audio and visual aspects of this game make it feel like you are back in Thedas once again and Thedas is a wonderful place to be, (if you can get past all the demons, racism and dirty politics.)
The number one shining gold star that DA: Inquisition earns is for the dragon battles. These battles are tough, require strategy and are truly enjoyable. The dragons are big, have different elemental attacks and immunities, and require proper potion management. These battles are easily the best part of the game—that could be even better if the tactical camera worked properly.

Which brings me to the Cons.

Bioware made promises to the PC fundamentalists that they were including them in the production of this game and the tactical camera was the primary element they dangled in front of those discouraged by DA2. Bioware dropped the ball on this one, massively. The tactical camera can best be described as clunky, confusing, frustrating and even useless. The best way to enjoy this game on PC is to abandon the hope of ever using the pause-and-play element—except during big boss battles when it is painstakingly essential.
So what if DA:I is an action RPG and not a tactical RPG? At least the combat is still fun, right? Well, mostly. It is fun but often the camera controls can be distracting. Sometimes the best way to win a fight is to simply mash the left-button and spam your character’s most powerful attack resulting in a rather lackluster experience.
Magic users will find the available spells fairly uninspiring. Spells are limited to the elements and do not offer anything original. Chain lightening, fireballs and blizzards are spells we have all used many times before. Beyond that, both spells and non-magic attacks are limited to eight per character, a result of being restricted by the number of buttons on a game controller. Many in the PC community see this as further evidence they have been overlooked and excluded from Bioware/EA’s demographic pool.
There is a lot of loot in the game. Unfortunately it’s mostly useless. It does convert to gold easily, but that too, is mostly useless. Gold piles up much faster than one can spend it. And honestly, there isn’t much to spend it on. Schematics and recipes are worthy purchases. However, the best weapons and armor in the game are crafted and not purchased or dropped.
The focus on crafting is cool. The problem that lies within is that it becomes tedious and time-consuming to gather resources, craft, upgrade, and equip all of the party members (ten—including yourself) with level-appropriate gear. The crafting system itself requires you to utilize several different workstations and inventories which produces a rather cumbersome experience. Even then, even when the equipment is sufficient, there is a feeling that the game lacks anything unique or valuable.
All in all, a good story can redeem a game with mechanical or style flaws and still be very enjoyable. As mentioned earlier, the story is good. However, the ratio of time dedicated to the primary storyline is very short when compared to the hours upon hours that one can spend running errands and collecting resources. The errands are good for leveling up, acquiring support and helping widows find remnants of their massacred lovers. Collecting resources even feels important for a couple hours. Eventually though, being incessantly attacked by bears and wild dogs becomes a nuisance. DA:I would benefit greatly from a better balance between more story and less fetching.

    Minor Gripes and Peeves
-NPCs are brick walls that do not budge.
-Clunky looting controls and unnecessarily long resource picking animation.
-Quest items mixed with valuables creates confusion.
    -No blood magic.
    -No backup/secondary weapon slot.
    -So many bears.
-Couldn’t get a pint of mead or a flagon of ale in the pub.

So far the novelty hasn't worn off for me but I can see myself getting bored and forgetting about the game before I actually get to finish it.

Side note: I had serious issues with constant crashes with my gtx 760 running on the latest nvidia drivers. The game was completely unplayable.
Downgrading the drivers appears to have fixed it.

The changes based on your choices are mainly cosmetic. It doesn't really matter. It doesn't really matter whether Iron Bull stays with Qunari or is banished. It really doesn't make a big difference.
After hours of herb gathering (!!!) and completing missions, after seeing that the game stopped evolving half way through I got really disappointed. After competion, went over to Cassandra to spend some time together, hoping that things would change in a way. I wasn't wrong - they changed. Cassandra started treating me like a stranger. Forgot all the passion and love. Won't even say "You're quite distracting, you know". There is absolutely no point in playing the game after the final mission which is ridiculously easy. I don't see how this game has any replayability value. It has a solid core, but everything else is just cosmetic and meaningless.

DA: Inquisition is a 6/10 game that you should absolutely play and is worth the money. So how does a 6/10 game warrant your time and money? Well, simply put, DA:I is greater than the sum of its parts. While most features in game are lack luster or poorly done, the game when taken as a whole entity is really quite good, I'll break it down below. I'll start with the bad news first:

DA: Inquisition is a 6/10 game that you should absolutely play and is worth the money. So how does a 6/10 game warrant your time and money? Well, simply put, DA:I is greater than the sum of its parts. While most features in game are lack luster or poorly done, the game when taken as a whole entity is really quite good, I'll break it down below. I'll start with the bad news first:

Combat - Here we have a system that fails as action combat, fails as tactical combat, and utterly fails as a hybrid. If you try to play it as an action game, you'll be frustrated at it's gross limitations in terms of movement, variation in abilities, and how banal the combat is. If you try to play it as a tactics game, prepare to be appalled by the terrible top down camera, the incredibad AI, the 360 damage enemy swings and the fact that unless you literally turn off every single ability, every party member has, by the time you've issued a command and unpaused the game to see it play out, they've already used their other abilities incorrectly and managed to fail at positioning.

Crafting - The system isn't too bad, and thankfully Bioware was cognizant of the mess they made and gave us unlimited crafting material inventory. It's a case of, sure crafting can be kinda decent, but only if you enjoy A LOT of gathering. Each zone has its own materials and each time you pick one up you sit through the animation, even if it is just 2 seconds, after a few hundred times, you realize a couple hours of your game time has been dedicated to picking up stuff for the sake of +2 to a stat. Wheeee! The easy way to craft, of course, is to just remove upgrade components from looted gear and put it on gear you want. But then this bypasses the entirety of the crafting system as you no longer care about mats and schematics. Hmmm, not well thought out.

Story - Typical "accidental hero rises up to beat a clearly evil bad guy" trope. It is what it is. And what it is, is bad. Choices are also meaningless, so that's no fun.

Characters - Mixed bag, couple interesting ones, but I think they tried a bit too hard to be "unconventional" while somehow still managing to be boring most of the time.

Game world & questing - Feels really disconnected from the main story and stuff like finding shards is really unrewarding and seemingly has been added as filler to pad the amount of time it takes to complete the game. Kinda sad.

    Okay, now the good news:

Combat - So if the game sucks as an action game and the game sucks as a tactical game, how can combat be good? Well, at a certain point in the game (I'm not doing spoilers if you haven't noticed) you and party members get their class specialization trees! Wohoo! These trees show a completely different thought process than the base trees. They have something called - synergy. So while the action and tactics still suck, you gain real quality depth in party builds. As in, you can build out groups that really mesh well and to great effect. And that makes combat a lot more fun and a lot more satisfying.

Those Epic Moments - When you get to them, they're so so good. They really just make you slow down and say WOW this is awesomesauce.

Dragons - Look, do yourself a favor. Don't use guides, don't use glitches/exploit, just play, it'll be worth it. The dragon fights are tough and long and require effort, and they're so satisfying to triumph over. If you cheese it, you'll only be ruining one of the great things about this game, and you're just ruining it for yourself.

Game world/atmosphere - It is expansive, and wondrous, and so well done. Really top notch and I think this is where bioware claws back the game from falling into bland terribleness. If you kind of forget about the main quest and play the game as an exploration/journey game you'll find it to be one of the best RPG's. There's so much to digest and see, you really get a feeling that the team in charge of world building/lore is a magnificent crew and the people who did the functional mechanics of combat are just there for a paycheck. Bioware could have completely removed the main story, and instead of "accidental hero vs baddie" it could be "adventurer goes adventuring, founds the inquisition and slowly gains power." That would have made a much better story as that's really the story of your character and the evil baddie is just a trope because someone was lazy.

Anyway, in the end, it's a must play game. A game that succeeds despite its many flaws.

After playing another 20 hours (to a total of 30) I still can’t enjoy the game as much as I would like and as much as I’d hoped to enjoy it before the release. The biggest problem with the game is probably that my expectations were really, really high. I still remember the pleasant surprise DA:O was; hence, it’s difficult for me to review DA:I in isolation, without the baggage of its predecessor.
    Here it goes:
    Pros:
Locations, some are really, really gorgeous.
Some dialogues, especially those companion-related in Skyhold.
    Some quests/plot events.
And that’s about it. The game, even as a generic RPS, is generally mediocre. So it’s difficult to list more clear advantages.
    Cons:
Sloppy, unwieldy controls. No auto-attack, auto-loot, auto-interact (walking up to every single thing instead of just clicking on it can be tiresome).
    Terrible combat mechanics.
The graphics aren’t great and the game is terribly optimised.
    The quasi-open world.
    A MMO/grinding feeling.
    Boring, pointless side quests.
Dialogues – the choices seem pointless, irrelevant and the 3-4 word description often does not match what the Inquisitor actually says.
    Disappointments:
Plot! DA:O made sense, you were saving the world, but in a reasonable fashion. The lore was enthralling. In DA:I they overdid it. And made it inconsistent: you are the inquisitor, the saviour of Thedas. But go and fetch some blankets for refugees and find a lost bull.
Dialogues, and I mean it. They don’t seem natural. And they don’t give enough control over what’s going on.
The combat is really underwhelming. Paired with terrible controls in general, playing the game and advancing the relevant plot often feels like a chore.
The artificial, plastic feel and look of the game. The NPCs don’t seem natural. Just think about the grand ball (that was a potentially great quest, one of the best in the game) – a courtyard full of nobles and nobody notices you climb a wall.
Overall, DA:I, the successor of DA:O, instead of being a great RPG, is just another game. It

At first i have enjoyed the exploration, but after few hours it felt just like a unwanted chore in order to get POWER points requiered to advance in the storyline.

    Combat and controls:
I quite enjoyed the slow and methodical combat in Origins. DA:2 combat was a big step forward for me thanks to it's faster pace, higher difficulty and well-done animations. I expected that Inquisition will be even better, but i was dissapointed. Positioning and connecting the right abilities together is less important and combat is basicaly a mindless button mushing in order to reduce HUGE monster health bars to zero. Tactical camera is next to useless, as it is awkard to use and your view gets blocked by the environment.
A.I. of enemies and especialy of your party members is beyond stupid, it is much worse than in Origins and DA:2
Navigating your characters sometimes gets annoying as it gets stuck on anything especialy when mounted, jumping and climbing doesn't work very well either. That really makes you think twice about exploring world.

    Storyline:
Main plot is not that bad, you feel like you are actualy acomplishing something, but i don't find the main villan and his acomplishments all that threatening or significant. The fade rifts are presented like a huge threat but 90% of the time, demons are just waiting around the rift to be killed, even if the rift is right in the village.
Lot of your achievements and effort doesn't have any effect or value in the end.

    Features:
Wartable is a nice idea, but after some time it becomes a big chaotic mess.
You cannot see your party members exact approval numbers nor do they have any effect on the story line as far as i was able to tell.
I disliked the necesity to collect the heaps of materials and herbs manualy instead of delegating it to some of your many inferiors.

    Characters and dialogues:
Most of the characters are well writen and you actualy care for their fate and how they devellop.
Dialogues give you fair amount of options and a feeling of control.
Character creation is a bit frustrating because of the poor lighting condition which means you will end up with wierd looking characters if you are unlucky.

    Graphics and performance:
Characters are pretty detailed altough their face technology especialy expressions and lip sync could be better, environment looks stunning, spell effects are nice if a little bit escessive. One of the things that could be improved is cutscenes, they are locked and 30 fps and stutter a lot.
Game runs fairly smooth on an i5-4670k and GTX 770 on high to ultra details although it crashes every few hours which is frustrating.
Menu is the worst from the series, with mouse&kb it's clumsy, annoying and not that great looking.

Soundtrack: One word. Amazing. I like the soundtrack even more than the one in Origins and DA2's with a few exceptions.

Summary: For me DA:Inquisition certainly is not worth the full price, but it is a good experience if you don't waste your time on sidequests and you can tolerate boring combat system. The storyline and character side of the game feels dilluted and a bit sloppy because of how much work went to the designing huge open world full of pointless filler. For me it is DA:O>DA:2>DA:I.

Now to this, i looked forward to this so much when i heard about it. And when the game got delivered i installed it and started playing. I was expecting a cool story to grip me early on. No, instead there was some simple overlay about rifts opening and not really much else.
Other then that, it was huge landscapes and alot of running... Traveling.... loadingscreens.... picking up crafting materials. Been playing for two days and it feels like nothing have happened. The story have not progressed, it just feels like a mmorpg without the mmo part. Or well, more like an action rpg. With little emphasis on the roleplaying part.

And i just get so tierd of this jumping around, flipping cool ways and dashing here and there. Its not realistic. It feels like im playing some John woo movie type of game. It really takes me out of the world im trying to get interested in. Just feels out of place and strange.
So as time gone by i stopped playing it, other games are more fun and i choose to spend my free time in them instead. So DA:3 was really a miss for me. It cant even compare to DA:O. Its not even in the same league.

Really feels like a combination of the Elder Scrolls games (big, immersive, sandbox world to explore), the Dragon Age games (fantastic character development/narratives), and Diablo games (twitch combat and progressively-opening lands to explore). I'm less psyched about the twitchy combat, it's the one element of the Dragon Age universe I feel took a step backwards into "we're a console-driven world now!" territory, and detracts from the overall experience (hence my subtraction of one star). But that's not enough to throw the baby out with the bathwater, as so many user reviewers are doing. Yes, Dragon Age has slid away from traditional AD&D components into more console gaming components (as is every other non-indie RPG these days), which basically means more button-mashing, less strategy, but if you can look past this, you will find a world that is enormous, probably the most exploration-worthy world of any RPG to date (including the Elder Scrolls games where you could explore vast stretches without finding anything of note). The graphics, animations, textures, and character and loot models are definitely next-gen, and although there are a few missteps (yes, if you turn the graphics down, the characters get a glossy sheen to them) - but this is a game clearly designed for modern graphics cards and a fairly robust PC. The game is huge, you can pump 200 hours into it easily, which FINALLY puts the DA franchise in the same ballpark as the Elder Scrolls games. The writing is good and the biggest challenge, particularly for players new to the universe, is the overwhelming amount of lore. But for any true RPG'er, this is a positive. You get to feel truly powerful in this game, too, as your character goes from a lowly nobody to a commander of the biggest force in the world, with an enormous fortress to add to and decorate. You also now command two groups of characters - the teammates, as with every other Dragon Age game, whose stories open up and get deeper as you progress - and your advisers, a group of folks who bring stealth, politics, and brute force to the bigger picture and help open up new sections of the map to explore. I'm 70 hours in and I haven't even opened up every map yet. This might just be the greatest RPG made to-date, don't let user reviews talk you out of purchasing the game. It certainly hits all my RPG buttons. Haven't even looked at any of my other games since I got it. Totally immersed and addicted. And, as in all DA games, what you did in the previous games effects what happens in the bigger picture of this game as well. In fact, you might just run into some of your own characters from previous games! Big thumbs up. Expand

This game incredibly detailed and there is a lot to do in the massive sandbox world with realistic looking graphics. I love this game so much and it is very very easy to get sucked in to this game with the countless weapons, loot, and inventory items. They give everything you do, yes even the side missions, a meaning, this is a must buy for any gamer.

Dragon age is a great example of a sequel. It has a wealth of content with an interesting story plus the addition of crafting. The game does have it's problem ranging from big to minor. I unfortunately encountered a bug keeping me from progressing after traveling to the future but looking at the forums ended up finding a way to make it work which was pretty much to load a previous save file and try again. It was the same for a Sera only mission and probably many other missions as well. If you do manage to overlook these problems the game looks great and plays great. Some may complain about the combat but to be fair, Dragon age never had an interesting combat to begin with though I feel this combat in DAI is the best one yet as you can do nice combos though the tactics could've been better like in DAO. I gave it an 8 for how great the game is and took out 2 points for the problems it has and the unpolished multiplayer which is most likely a result from putting it in the game the last minute. Expand

Perhaps the disappointment is so great because the expectations were so great.
The story is dull, the choices have little to no impact on anything, the relationships, which were in my opinion, the highlight of DAO and DA2 here are almost non existent. Most of he characters are shallow and boring.

The character development is extremely dumbed down.

The quests, besides the main, are VERY VERY boring. Go get some plants, some materials and get back. The Universe is big, but really empty and filled mostly with useless stuff.

The war room, which could be such a nice tactical perk, is actually absolutely useless as well, and mostly a waste of time.

    The combat is very repetitive.

The makers tried to combine Skyrim, WOW, Diablo and story into one and failed on all accounts. The only good thing in this game is the gorgeous landscapes, which unfortunately were wasted... Very sad.

Despite numerous shortcomings, the new BioWare project is undoubtedly worth your attention. One of the best RPGs of 2014.
