    This game definitely gives the Doom series a flair of its own - the light resource management combined with the relatively demanding gameplay distinguish Doom Eternal from other shooters in the market. The gameplay is crisp, and the engine is very well optimized. ID really is trying to set a new bar for smooth FPS gameplay and it shows.

    The combat loop is so good and when you master the quick swapping it is so rewarding but if you do not like quick swapping there is other alternatives also.

    The game is one of the most polished titles I have in my game library. It just works so well, incredibly optimized and has lots for you to customize (the HUD for me).     They turned a mindless shooter into something that requires brain power. Every weapon has a purpose and every enemy has a weakness. No clue how they are going to top this one. But they already topped Doom 2016, so you never know... This is some of Ids best work.

    This game will punish you for your mistakes, especially in the higher difficulties, but it's AMAZING to master. Once you're in the zone, quick cycling weapons, chainsawing minions and ripping and tearing everything in your way it provides and experience unlike any other. Recently been replaying it, and falling ABSOLUTELY in love with it all over again. It's fun to play, a bit complicatedThis game will punish you for your mistakes, especially in the higher difficulties, but it's AMAZING to master.     The real meat and potatoes of the game. All missions are great, combat is immaculate and very skill based. The difficulty increase since DOOM 2016 is a big one, but it's doable. As another reviewer once said, it's a fast-paced blood-fueled game of chess. You will constantly need to monitor your health, armor and ammo. Very rewarding combat, spectacular arena design, and superb graphics. 10/10

    Rip, and tear, until it is done my friends. Very fun and enjoyable, I have had issues trying to stop playing once I get started. The game is very very created and can be challenging for new people, recommended to start on nightmare on your first run to get the full game play experience.

    This is hands down the best game I have ever played. I have no complaints. I love fast paced, I love high precision fps GAMING, and I love deep combat systems to explore and grow on. I recommend this to anyone who is a hard fan of the FPS genre, and if you love faster paced games as well.

    Absolutely loved every second of this insane joy ride of a murder fest this game is. I had a very hard time putting this game down when i started played. The music constantly keeps you in tune with every shot you fire. If you haven't played this game yet then something is definitely wrong with you.

    Challenging but fun game, tests reflexes and tests your skill. Fun to play, but not too easy, you can toy around with weapons, codes, Armour, almost everything, it feels fresh. So many challenges and fun things to do in this game, I really like it a lot. The story is amazing, the multiplayer is pretty good and the overall game play is just astonishing.

    One of the best FPS ever created. High skill ceiling. High replayability. Next step in the genre. Checkout @UnderTheMayo on youtube, amongst others, for becoming a badass demon slayer. You will probably be yawning while playing other (generic/mainstream) shooters after playing this. Worth every penny including the DLCs. Stop reading and buy this now!

I only played on Nightmare mode (the most challenging) and it was frustrating at first but when you learn the rhythm of combat and unlock the full arsenal this a a true masterclass in First-Person-Shooters. Never have I felt like such a God in game while also having my heart race. Cannot recommend this enough. Play on easy difficulties for some mindless fun orThis game is absurdly good.     The gameplay is fast, requires you to be aggressive and to use all the tools the game gives you to survive. I was afraid that all the new weapons and gadgets would make the game too easy when compared to Doom 2016 but that is not the case. This game is obscene amounts of fun.

Eternal is without a doubt in my mind, the best fps ever made. There is so much depth to the combat its utterly unbelievable. Play this goddamn game.

The gunplay, the fast pace action, the platforming, the soundtrack, how the gore and violence actually has a method and use behind them (finisher = health + blood punch, chainsaw = more ammo, flamethrower = moreThis is a truly awesome game.     How is this so addictive? Could it be the music, killing demons, a combination of both? I don't know but it is a great stress reliever and the highest difficulty while dying over and over again to endlessly combat spawn of hell... And then getting it right at last. Ufffff, the dopamine hit!

    Try this game. You won't regret it. Highly recommend.

    A prime example of what video games are able to achieve. I was recommended by a friend to play this game and came out recommending it to many more. I came into it expecting it to be a mediocre game in a milked franchise but was instantly surprised by the polish and beauty of it. Do I recommend this game? YES!

    If you want a crazy fun, and adrenaline enducing, mission based game with an awesome variety of weapon and powerup combos It's absolutely worth it ESPECIALLY if it's on sale.

    Great fun. totally recommend getting this and playing it through. Nothing beats blasting demons to hell to make you feel good about yourself.

    I'm pretty bad at the game, so when I finally completed the game on Ultra Nightmare I fell out of my chair and practically broke my legs. 10/10 would break legs again

    (Written as a player that has completed hurt me plenty and playing nightmare) An amazing action packed thriller that makes you think how to do better when you die. In the beginning you will die. A lot. But that's ok. It is ok for games to be hard, and I love the design of this game having you on the edge of death. The chainsaw mechanic is super fun, if you are smart you can even flaming(Written as a player that has completed hurt me plenty and playing nightmare) An amazing action packed thriller that makes you think how to do better when you die. In the beginning you will die. A lot. But that's ok. It is ok for games to be hard, and I love the design of this game having you on the edge of death. The chainsaw mechanic is super fun, if you are smart you can even flaming meathook to your enemy of choice for free armor when you go for ammo.… Expand

    As a die-hard DOOM fan, I have to say that this game gives me a MAJOR hard-on. Seriously, if you have ED, skip the little blue pill and play this. You won't regret it.

    If this game makes its predecessor feel like child's play, then you know they've done something right. Doom Eternal combines combat, mobility, and defense in a way that not only improves on the previous, but creates a totally unique and 'easy to get into, but hard to master' gameplay loop. At no point is the slayer not given every tool he needs to rip and tear. If you're a Doom fan, thenIf this game makes its predecessor feel like child's play, then you know they've done something right.     If you're looking for a deep and thought-provoking gaming experience that changes your outlook on life, look elsewhere. However, if you want a fast-paced, visceral shooter full of non-stop action and outrageous violence, you can't do better than Doom Eternal. If you liked 2016's offering you will love this follow up. It's a hell of a good time.

    Like Jason Statham’s character in Crank, Doom Eternal needs adrenaline every waking second. So long as you drown hordes of demons in their own blood, it feels like a perfect GOTY contender, but during quiet moments, Doom Eternal withers and forces you to ponder unpleasant questions. id Software needs to course-correct, otherwise we’ll be playing Super Doom Slayer’s Bros in a few years.
