There is nothing new. There are a lot of things to be improved. Has the know-how accumulated while making the Diablo series been deleted?

MORALLY bestial + boring and repetitive Game

    - initial Price Scam, cosmetics, Battle Passes, overpriced expansions +maybe more to come(pay2win???)
-> weaker people+children getting hardcore exploited!!!

    - ALWAYS the same dungeon runs without ITEMIZATION END GAME!!!

This is not the greatest bitterness (Hogwarts beats everything). But I'm still sad we got it. Moreover, the worst part is that D4 is a scam. Everything that the creators promised we got in the beta. This game looks like the creators did act 1 and then ignored it.

I give this game a good grade. I knew what i was buying and expecting since the beta. it was quite clear back then what to expect and what the Dev's where going for.

The game is amazing, i play it casually with friends and mostly solo. There are many ways to go, from hardcore to casual simple fun. I notice the amount of love and dedication put into the game and what they were going for.

Their quick response to the main questions and complains from people in a stream shows their dedication, especially the time frame they want to get those things fixed.

100 Hours and counting. F all the 0 in the reviews. No one cares if this is not the game you expected. I hate Blizzard management as the next guy but D4 is a very good game and doesn't deserve the review bombing.

After playing the beta, i was expecting a reskin of Diablo 3, but it turned out to be way worse than D3.
There are about a million issues with the game, and i'm not gonna spend a day to try to compile a list. But even with all of its problems, it would have been a relatively fun and enjoyable RPG, if it wasn't for the one major thing they completely butchered. The itemization system.

For me, RPG's are about killing tons of mobs, and looking for rare and powerful loot. Diablo 4 is actually great at the first, killing tons of mobs. Even tho i only played sorc (as usual) i really liked its moment to moment combat. Sadly only a few viable builds, but i guess i wasnt hoping for much more.
But when it comes to the 2nd more important part of being an RPG, Diablo 4 falls flat on its face. Even that's a massive understatement. I dislike the entire itemization system. From the aspects extraction/imprinting, to the power spread of dropped items being binarily(?) gated by the world tier difficulty. But even those issues are not the real problem for me.
Here is where the game becomes truly ANNOYING to play:
I clear a dungeon in about 2 minutes, during which i collect enough loot to completely fill up my entire inventory. Before moving onto the next dungeon, i have to go to town and unload (because obviously i want to improve my character). I spend another 2 minutes in town looking at each rare/legendary item i have gotten. An hour into this endgame loop, of staring at all the "damage to" and "damage from" and other uselessly **** affixes, and their massive ranges, my brain just turns off and it starts hurting. I despise the moment i have to go into town and stare into the void of affixes, it literally hurts. It all becomes a blur.
It should be the opposite, picking up loot should be inducing dopamine, not making me want to close the game.
Here is how this could easily be fixed:
    1. Remove uniques entirely from the game. Stop trying to farm nostalgy points from all the Diablo 2 veterans with the non-existent Shako drop rates. Thats really scummy. Not to mention how useless all the uniques i found are, compared to imprinting a powerful aspect into a rare.
    2. Cut legendary drop rates by half or even a quarter, and boost their affix range rolls to be better than the rares. For example: if a rare helmet could roll 4% - 10% CDR, make a legendary helmet CDR range roll 8% - 10%
    3. Reduce the value of rare items when sold to a vendor, down to 10% of what it is, and boost gold dropped by monsters 5-10x.
Obviously this needs to be fine-tuned, but generally would make picking up legendary items an enjoyable event. Even the Aspect rewards from dungeons will become a viable option, because currently with the legendary drop rate, i had all my aspects collected in no time, without having to go and complete a specific dungeon to get any of them.
Or here is another way to fix it:
    1. Let me set desired affixes/ranges for each item slot as a loot filter or something, and when something matching my wishlist drops, ping my minimap with a green beam or something.
Just off the top of my head, there's probably many other ways of getting around the problem of staring at affixes 24/7 without getting an upgrade for days.
If this tiny part of the itemization system is addressed (even tho its a band aid fix), this game would be 8/10 for me, but its currently unplayable... hence its a 3/10. I am however giving it 1 extra point, only because of the "Diablo 4/10" meme...

It saddens me to have to rate a Diablo game so low, as i grew up with Diablo 2 and its still one of my most favorite games... But even with its beautifully crafted overworld and masterful soundscape, Diablo 4 is a massive dissapointment :(

Great game. Gameplay is awesome, graphics/world is very immersive and, while slow to start, the story was richer than diablo 3, My biggest complaints is leveling and gear seem less rewarding. Realistically I would give this an 8/10 but I put a 10 here to counteract the polarizing 0's on here - I get if you don't like the game but giving a 0 is unwarranted(much like a 10 would be too).Great game. Good job Blizzard taking the game back to the darkness unlike the cartoonish environment in D3. I have just reached the maximum level(100) in Diablo 4. In this review I will tell you why this game deserves a 0/10 score and why you shouldn't spend your hard earned money in this game if you have any self-respect.

I have just reached the maximum level(100) in Diablo 4. In this review I will tell you why this game deserves a 0/10 score and why you shouldn't spend your hard earned money in this game if you have any self-respect.

The game cost in my region almost half a minimum wage, almost double one of the best games ever, Elden Ring. For that price tag I was expecting something out of this world, an experience to transcend my senses and understanding of the universe. Instead we got an unstable release with plenty of bugs, crashed, disconnects and rubber-bending.

The campaign was probably the high point of this game, it is short but has a decent story without the typical cliche of Starcraft 2, where you commit genocide in a galactic scale to save your girlfriend.

After the campaign and you reach level 50, you will start the mid-game, where you will progress your paragon level, which will take you to level 100. After level 80, this becomes incredibly slow, you might wonder, why that happens, and the answer is as shallow as it is sad. The reason is because there is almost *nothing* to do in the late game after you reach level 100, so they must keep you busy doing repetitive content for the sake of doing it.

The game caps nearly all forms of progression after you reach level 100, and the only thing that remains for you to progress are 'Nightmare Dungeons', but your motivation to consume this content becomes null, because there is no noticeable increase in rewards for reaching higher levels, no better gear from it, nothing, void, emptiness.

What starts to make you really despise this game and its developer are all the obnoxious techniques that they use to waste your time. They added a bunch of affixes to these Nightmare Dungeons that are their 'main content' after you reach level 50. The issue with it however, is that these affixes are completely irrational.

Let me explain, some of these affixes to the dungeon are like this: "all monsters have 40% damage reduction against your damage type". Well, why the heck would I ever do such a dungeon?! So you will just waste your time trying to get a different affix, the problem becomes when you want to play with your friends, and then you need to make an affix matrix to decide which combination screw your group the least. This is lazy and dumb to say the least.

*Important: they will release the first season less than 1 month after the game release, where players must start everything from ZERO. I believe this validates my point that they are doing everything for you to stay away from late game, because there is no late game.

Monetization. In the USA, the game price tag is probably $70 to $90 depending on the version, but in my region (Brazil) it costs nearly half a minimum wage. Now imagine, they charge that premium, plus cash shop for, in their own words, '*MOSTLY* cosmetic goods'. And of course, they also add a lot of irrational inconveniences, such as, obviously, insufficient storage space, so they can sell you more space in the future 'seasonal passes' every 3 months. This is just disgusting, this makes me hate blizzard to another level. I honestly reserve myself from expressing my feelings towards this company and their employees to avoid getting into a no flight list.

Blizzard today is the complete opposite of what it used to be 10 years ago, from quality of product to quality of service, it has all gone considerably downhill. No more live chat support, no more phone support, excessively buggy and unstable releases, misrepresentation of products and disrespect of customers. Not to mention all the scandals that have gone unpunished across the board.

These are the reasons why I rate this game 0/10, and recommend that you should not spend your hard earned money in this trash.

All I wanted was more mindless, addicting Diablo 3 goodness. I just wanted more Diablo 3 with maybe better graphics. Diablo 3 was fun. And my avatar was a really hot looking girl with skimpy outfits. Why? Because it is fantasy, that's why. Now I can't even get a female avatar that does not look, well, like a man. I'm not here to be "woke". I'm here to have fun.

The game is so dark. Diablo 3 was fun it was filled with humor. I often laughed out loud. My avatar had the best LOL smart assed remarks. This is like if Demon Souls had a baby with Diablo 3. Diablo 3 was tongue in cheek. This game is just grim. That is no fun to me. Granted that could be personal preference.

The moment I arrived in the first real town, I saw other player avatars everywhere. Sort of a la FFIV. At the moment I tried everything possible to make my game private. I have no desire to see other players in their gear or on their mounts. I want Diablo 3 privacy with no other RL humans around. It was at that point, I decided I dint want to play Diablo 4 any further. And I am really disappointed I had to make that decision. I had very high hopes for Diablo 4. Now crushed. Damn!

Are they serious that it took 12 years to develop this? Everything except the graphics is terrible. There is no story. Chasing Lilith, but always one step behind. Constant and annoying interaction with other players' games. Hey Blizzard, if I just fought a mini-boss for some stupid side quest, and then another player comes along and I have to fight the same boss again, it sucks. Maybe I want to play my own game, maybe if I wanted to play with other players I would have decided for a public game or created my own party, you know, like how it used to be. This is totally stupid and annoying. As if I want to chat up every random person playing the game, or as if I care what they are doing. The monsters are tedious and either too difficult, or too easy. They went back to the skill tree from Diablo 2. Most of the skills are useless. You have to power up one skill to the max just to be able to have some semblance of ability. Everything is a mess. You can have quests from act 1,2, and three all available at the same time. The loot is terrible. The legendary items are terrible and the abilities they grant are also boring or useless. I have gotten 4 different legendary weapons all with the same affix. Boring. I have not even reached level 50 and I am ready to quit. Nothing in this game feels like Diablo. They should go back to runes for weapons an armor. You continuously salvage weapons and get nothing for them. You never get the rare crafting materials necessary to fully upgrade an item. The game is boring. Even more annoying, I wanted the game for Mac because I have always played it on a desktop, but because **** bought Blizzard, they did not release the game on Mac. I have to play it on console (PS4). I guess it does not matter, the game stinks either way. Screw you Blizzard, I am done with Diablo. Not buying any expansions, never going to waste real money on in-game purchases, not going to give Blizzard any more of my money ever. You RUINED Diablo. Congratulations. Expand

    -No minimap overlay
-Level scaling. WTF really. You want to feel mighty and powerful? Blizzard-- "No, i don't think you will".
I am a seasoned ARPG player, and this is actually a game killer for me. No other game made such a horrible decision.
    -The mount
-The stash, 4 tabs are not enough.
-Skill branch, not tree. There is literraly no freedom. Few skills are good, if you don't use them, you're crap. (ex. Barb is not viable without shouts)
-Cannot spam anything. Every skill is behind a freaking cooldown or a ressource cost so high, you can't sustain them, unless you get the item you're never gonna get, because you don't play enough!!

The game offers nothing for casual. They say the game is aimed at casual but no, this game is not fun for casual. You have to grind forever to get items and most of them are bad or useless for your build.

    GIMME A TRADE SYSTEM!!!!

Nothing makes you want to play the game. If you're done with the story might aswell uninstall, unless you want to grind the living hell out of it....which is anti-casual.

So much time and effort and money, still cannot make a game better than POE, Last Epoch, D2 or EVEN Grim Dawn. I legit had more fun playing Victor Vran than playing D4.

I feel like Blizzard starts anew everytime they make a game instead of looking around to find what's fun in other games.

    Total shame for the price.
