    I was waiting for the launch to play with my mom (yeah, me and my mom play a lot of games together) and it simply is p2w. If you want to play it without spending real money, the game makes sure your life turns to hell. So screw it, unnistalled and blizzard is all the way downhill.

    p2w garbage. How blizzard went from making amazing games such as world of warcraft and the original diablos which were my childhood. To this game where it can cost up to $100,000 to max certain things I will never understand. Avoid at all costs. Pirate diablo 2 remastered instead don't even give any money to this shell of a company.

    I hope the blowback from this 'game' ( its a scam and gambling sim with diablo mechanics) will serve to deemphasises the corporate greed and create products that actually put the player first. its over the top incessant and predatory model makes delegitimises the company and all the IP's. never downloading anything by this company again.

    We are witnesses to the downfall of Blizzard. It is expected when you sell your soul to a Chinese corporation with only one goal to generate money no matter what. Even though there are extremely pay-to-win games on the mobile market Blizzard managed to create the worst one of all. They have become the greediest company even when compared to EA. It is time to realize that the Blizzard weWe are witnesses to the downfall of Blizzard.     So eine schlechte Portierung hab ich selten gesehen. Es fühlt sich alles clunky und schwergängig an. Und dann hat man noch nichtmal angefangen im endgame vor diesen völlig unverschämten irrsinnig hohen paywalls zu stehen. Ein völlig absurdes game. Eine Beleidigung für alle die Spielspaß haben wollen.

    This game will take you about 3-4 hours to finished the daily tasks, and You know that you will not get the best gem you want in the game if you don't pay. I don't think everyone will have 10 years to waste on it.

    So buggy. Really buggy. Quest lines are bugged too. Don't know what the story is about, missing quests, battlegrounds are like crappy and when you cast a spell, nothing happens. When you press the keys: nothing happens.

I could imagin people spending millions on this game and still not achieving Resonance Armor with Legendary gems not to mention a Charm with a couple skills useful to you.     I can see why they'd ask that obvious rhetoric question, instead of admitting why they didn't want to release it on PC. The type of predatory "addictive player spending" structures in this game, are looked down upon on PC. It's also their interest to be attached to your phone, since you're easier to monetize that way. Anyone who says "you don't need to pay money, and it's your fault if you can't keep yourself from spending" isn't being fully honest with you. They can also argue "it's your fault that you're stuck in traffic if you drive to your job, instead of walking or riding the bicycle" but that's not really a "good faith" argument, is it?

    To anyone who says "you don't need to pay money to play it" or "too bad people can't ignore the monetization" you're ignoring that the issue isn't paying for a game. It wouldn't be an issue if this was a $30-60 game, and we only had to pay a one-time fee to unlock the full experience. You're also failing to recognize that they design the monetization to be ****Incredibly difficult to ignore / avoid / resist****

    They hire psychologists, to try to get every possible monetization hook with the highest success rates of enticing a player to spend. Even just $1 is enough for them, because it's a downwards slippery slope from there.

    Their in-game reward system is designed to activate your dopamine receptors, so you get addicted to their dopamine hit. They use that as classic Pavlovian conditioning to associate the dopamine reward with their game & the in-game market--all of this happens without the player spending a single dollar.

    That conditioning means that they've created a subconscious imprint in your mind, which links a dopamine reward with their game & their in-game shop. That's a subconscious link, which they purposefully intend to exploit. They do that by "starving" you of the dopamine hit & sensory excitement which they had been giving you.

    As you play longer, they slowly reduce the amount of "free rewards" you receive, and create a subtle expanding delay between rewards. The player doesn't notice this, because the system was already organically introduced in most modern games (think of the leveling/exp system). However they use this organic system to starve you of a "reward" which they conditioned you to expect. It makes you start craving it more and more intently. At that point since you already subconsciously associate their game shop with the "reward", you'll start to subconsciously open the game/shop in search of another "reward" hit or more in-game resources. This can even happen when you might just be bored, or exhausted, and your brain wants a quick "pick me up" then before you know it, you've opened up "Diablo Immortal" all on auto-pilot. This can happen simply because you started feeling anxious/bored/hungry--meaning that you don't need to actually have an actual desire or intent to play the game, in order for you to open the app as an auto-pilot behavior. That's what the predatory addictive "hooks" accomplish in mobile games.

    Again, you don't need to spend a SINGLE unit of currency, for this addiction to take root. You only need to play for longer than a week. Before you know it, you're wanting to spend money on the shop. Eventually you reach a point where you've spent $100-5,000 on a SINGLE game throughout an entire year. Don't believe me? Well just look at how much money they're already making on platforms outside of PC.

    That's the reason they wanted to make it a mobile-exclusive game. IMO they should've kept it mobile-exclusive, because I wouldn't be rating it 0 as a mobile game. However, I do not want this kind of "game approach" on my PC.

    This isn't very "cash money" of Blizzard Entertainment--though it is a cash printer for them, and we're the ink. It's a negative cash money experience for the player, after they play for a few minutes or days. Like I said before, that wouldn't be an issue if it was simply a one-time payment of $30-60. However, it's a slippery slope of spending.

    so you can only do battlegrounds once a day for 2 hours and if you're f2p player whales will one shot you and farm you. if you think you can compete for top ten ladder greater rifts then you are mistaken all those spots will always be dominated by whales so you cant compete at all. this feels like playing a game that has cheaters and you cant do **** about it .

All of the skinnerbox bs is here. Multiple currecenies with no way to get the exact amount you need for a purchase. "Crests" that turn the elder rifts into a lootbox with extra steps. Want pay to win? it's there too. the only way to reliably get the gems (f2p players take so much longer to earn em.) that are one of the main progression routes is the legendary crests.
    The only way to get a head is to pay money, f2p players get screwed several ways.

I spent roughly 70 dollars. I fought in numerous Immortal fights. As someone who has played thousands of games over the course of 10 years, has played every MMO you can think of. This game is by far the most unsatisfying, horrible, disgusting game. In Archeage you would grind and you would spend lots of real money to gear up. In archeage there was a purpose. The purpose was the castle land battles. Where you and your entire guild fought every other guild on the server to get a castle. Where then when you got the castle, you would defend it or attack it in 100 vs 100 man hour long fights. The time you spent leveling up, the money you spent improving your chances to gear up, all of that mattered, it was meaningful. Here in Diablo Immortal, you have to fight a giant immortal for approximately 5 minutes. Then it's over. All the grinding you did, all the money you spent, meaningless. As it was only for five minutes of unsatisfying PVE/PVP. I am really happy I didn't drop more money into this game. There's a limit to what you can do, especially if you are mostly free to play. There is no cap on slot machine power progression, but there is a limit on how fast you can level, how much you can do if you don't spend money. There is absolutely nothing to do for the real hardcore gamers that love diablo for the grind for the loot. You are hindered and stopped every other day by Paragon level cap reducing your xp gained by over 80% at a time or the dozen of other caps. My girlfriend rates this game a 5/10, unfortunately for blizzard, I am the one writing this review and rating it. Horrible game, obvious cash-grab to people who loved diablo, a way to milk us for our money. Blizzard has successfully ruined every IP they have. At least for me.… Expand

It's a damn shame because if you removed all the pay to win mechanics you'd be left with an actually decent game to play when you're on the go. Instead blizzard once again chose to sell their tomorrow for today. Disappointing.

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.
