    The game punishes you if you go over "server paragon" level. For example if you are 10 levels above the server paragon, you only get 10% of experience, so that's basically you getting 90% less experience than you would otherwise. Also the 6-8pm daily shadows gathering was really taking a huge toll on my time, since this is not a job and I can't commit to the game at a specific time every day.

At this point, I don't care if the gameplay is enjoyable because the microtransaction are predatory and disgusting. Those who designed that system should never work in games ever again and should be ashamed.

    Gameplay is super easy - casual. Just run around press attack and you will win each battle. No need to think at all. No hardcore mode of course. Gameplay is a 2/10. Blizzard promised to have only cosmetic items and no p2w in this game and blatantly lied to us. 0/10.

    Graphics. Used a lot of assets and monsters from Diablo III. Feels sloppy and cheap. Many people say this is great, but I do not feel the same way at all. The template for controller and hero actions has been copied from another of their (Netease - a chinese mobile game developer) games and also the menu layout. Outsourcing the game to Netease was the worst idea Blizzard has had in a while. They should have designed the whole flow of the game - UI, battle system, but instead chose to be lazy. 2/10.

    Overall thanks to predatory tactics and lies to the community when they said "only cosmetic" and no p2w I gladly rank this "game" a 0 out of 10.

    Save yourself some time and install a good game like stardew valley or some other game where you pay once and the developer actually is not about preying on problem gamblers. The gaming companies lie to you when they say "whales" are rich people. In fact research shows the most spending in these games comes from people with low education that are actually not rich at all. It is the same as with problem gamblers in casinos. You see rich people gamble all their money away not very often do you? There needs to be regulation on these games so these gaming companies can not get away with this bs. Max spending per game per month is a simple solution Apple and Google could easily implement to stop this predatory practices once and for all in no time. Regulation on lootboxes also needs to happen. Lootboxes against real money must be for 18+ at all times.    … Expand

Warcraft 3 reforged was the worst remaster ever, Diablo 3 was a button masher compared to Diablo 2, and overwatch got so screwed by the updates over the years that it’s almost unplayable, Diablo 2 resurrected was a bug filled nightmare. But now blizzard has released a product so bad that they might be considered the worst developers in the aaa industry. Diablo immortal has pay to win tactics so evil that this game can’t get a 1.     Well however u spin it this game is P2W. I enjoyed the game to a certain point. Now that i am paragon 70 i am so done wtih the game. Progress is slow and u have to keep farming the same content till paragon 600... and after that the same content again for loot. Its way to repetative. I think this game will die in 1 month servers are alrdy pretty emtpt.y. Bad game Blizzard and you know it

    The push for you to pay is insanely heavy-handed and if you try to play without paying, you are punished both by game and what community the game has going for it.     Tried this on pc thinking that version would be better than the mobile. Was sadly mistaken..... It's a money trap no matter how you cut it. Why couldn't we just get this as a 60 dollar title and call it a day?

    Diablo Immortal is a parody of Diablo, a walking corpse that oozes technical quality and polish, with fantastic art, visuals, music, voice acting, UI, controls, and dark atmosphere; everything a Diablo game should be on the surface. But lacking all richness and complexity in its systems: of items, skills, and progression in general. The guts have been replaced by mtx gotchas, the progress walls are artificial and devoid of skill, running between daily activities is as soulless and pointless as running between tables at the casino. The bells and whistles call for you to "opt in" at all times, and the stench of it all permeates through every impressive layer of paint by Blizzard's incredible artists. Diablo Immortal is the embodiment of "lipstick on a pig".

    Diablo Immortal could have been a game people didn't know they wanted. If we had a PC client that wasn't trash, if the mtx were cosmetic only like path of exile (mostly), if the itemization and skill mutations weren't gutted to enforce the rule of paid stats (resonance)... If we had an actually deep arpg in this cross-platform framework, where players could run their quick solo rifts on their lunch break break and come home and do their raids on pc. There is so much potential.

    The problem is that Diablo Immortal is exactly everything PC/console gamers dreaded about the encroachment of mobile gaming: Horrifically pay to win ✅ Overly simplified mechanics ✅ daily activity spam ✅ abusive use of FOMO ✅ literal gambling ✅ artificial progress blockers ✅ no concept of total access or ownership ✅. A capitalist hellhole where addicting the player to daily grind is more important than giving them an experience that is worth money. Ultimately the game is designed specifically to target whales, and is not made with the enjoyment of the user being the first and foremost concern. Actually, the game is designed specifically to create anxiety in the player about limited time offers and deals and trying to break through barriers that the game itself purposefully put in place to throttle progress. This game is not made for you to want to play, the game is designed for you to not want to put it down. And it becomes very toxic and predatory in this aim.

    It is a very confusing experience, to be going through a Diablo campaign that feels so true to Diablo. It looks good, the music is incredible, the story ties in well with both Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, lots of familiar faces and places make returns. Things that only Diablo vets would recognize. And in the middle of all that, your session is interrupted by a notification "BATTLEPASS LEVEL UP, PAY FOR ACCESS!!", or "FIRST KILL OF THE DAY BONUS!" or the giant "TAP TO GET MORE" button at the bottom of literally every item in the game. Even the items are simplified to the point that the game simply tells you what to equip. There's literally no tradeoffs or decisions to make. The only things that matter are combat rating and resonance. There's also no skill runes or ways to modify skill behavior (outside of legendary equipment which is also basic).

    So the evolution of gameplay and character progression puzzle that are the two main pillars of the genre have both literally been completely replaced by the simple act of stacking larger numbers, which is time gated unless you spend money, up to a maximum of $110,000 per character. So despite much of the game's technical prowess, I simply could not find myself enjoying it. All I ever think about is "what daily activity am I missing out on" rather than "I cannot wait to try out this new item/power!" In this sense, Diablo Immortal truly does feel like the walking corpse of Diablo. It looks like everything a Diablo game should be on the surface, but all the guts and complexity have been ripped out and replaced with casino games and gotchas, and it's just been propped up in the town square, a parody of what Diablo fans held dear.    … Expand

They never put it on PC to appease the outcry of "don't you have phones," it was done purely to try to push this gotcha phone ptw garbage into the mainstream PC market in an attempt to further normalize more and more insidious micro-transactions.

    A mobile that sets the new standards in monetization. Even EA wouldn't stoop this low! A game that has no redeeming value. You want to throw your money away? Play Diablo Immoral! No other mobile game does it better in terms of smelling like your worst bowel movement.

    I won't lie; this game was fun from the moment I started playing, I was hooked, and I even considered spending money on the game, but fortunately, thanks to a few well-informed people (yongyea), I now know just how much this game would have sapped out of me. It is honestly disappointing how your greed choked any future this game has.

    The game bait you during the first 60 level into believing that "it's not so bad", but sometimes later this simple revelation it hit you like a truck : you simply cannot grow your character if you do not spend money.     Wyatt said that this game wont be pay to win, and he still insists that he is correct, I would like to see Wyatt plays this game as F2P and try to unlock all content, reaching end game and win against the whales.

    It saddens me so much to say this, but the Diablo franchise as we know it is gone. Diablo 3 was not great, but it was leaps and bounds better than this. The gameplay is alright... sure... this is basically like Diablo 3 in that regard, but it just becomes unplayable at later levels with the forceful grind and artificially-horrible drops, just to force you to open your wallet and pay up.     I hope this game burns in Hell (Lol) for what it's doing! The farming in the game itself is very fun, but to legit need the luck of Domino just to get 5 star legendary gems is ridiculous! Blizzard has failed us.

The beginning of the game is designed to get you hooked on it, and draw you further into the story, and then when you think you might enjoy playing this game, the barrage of monetization hits you. I've enjoyed maxing out my characters in Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, but they've found a way to even ruin that, by locking endgame content off from you completely unless you spend exorbitant amounts of money. You have no way to compete with "whales" as a free to play player, and they promised us gear wouldn't be purchasable. Lo and behold, gear isn't purchasable, instead gear means almost nothing, and all of your stats come from the gems you have to farm which, funny coincidence, are buyable, meaning that your progression is tied to how much money you spend no matter how much Activision-Blizzard would like to claim otherwise. Do yourself a favor and don't feed them money on any of their platforms, for any games, as the only way to actually teach companies like this a lesson is to completely boycott their products and stop them from making money until they either fall apart, or get their act together and learn how to make a game for the people who are buying it, instead of for shareholders.… Expand

    The game is fine and fun. Leveling is ok (however blocked by grind walls). But the endgame is impossible for F2P players. You either pay or quit. Unplayable, unacceptable. Shame what a greedy company can do with a good game franchize

    So I hit p20 and the day to day stuff to do will not even get you a level. The grind is insane. They care more about pvp then anything. I have deleted the game.    … Expand

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.

    Diablo Immortal seems like a project created with the sole purpose of using the good name of Diablo to rub the players of their money. Definitely one of the worst games ever came out of Blizzard.
