    Yes, this game is fully P2W. You can do some mental juggling to try to argue against this fact, but it's wide open to anyone. Do you only play PVE and in that case will the amount of money invested be irrelevant? Your mistake is sad! Because the game limits (and a lot) the progression of F2P players, while whoever has more money to spend will always be able to evolve more and more.

    I am not going to repeat what has become public knowledge of how immoral the game is. My absolute last drop was the Bestiary "achievement" system.
    154 monsters to collect information about by gathering monster essence. Drop that is not super common and you get a reveal for 10(capped of course) essences. The thing is even this is behind RNG wall. You can reveal already discovered monster    I am not going to repeat what has become public knowledge of how immoral the game is.     This game is garbage. Uninstalled after reaching lvl 13 and understanding how the micro-transactions was gonna condition my experience. The message needs to be clear to the gaming industry, this type of game is not the future of gaming.

It's hard to believe Blizzard would jeopardize almost three decades of trust for this "game". Deserves nothing above a 0.0 rating. This is my first time ever reviewing anything, I've never cared, but this "game" deserves it that much. Even with no pay to win id still rate it only a 3/10 maximum with the only reason being they did add some minor new things after copy pasting Diablo 3, so It's not the exact same.… Expand

    Finished the game in 4-5 days of not that intense gaming. The game it self is not that bad until you reach Lvl walls and it persuades you to pour in money.... Total letdown... back to D3 and D2

And right now, in order to progress end game content, the only way is to throw money down bottomless pit. There is a streamer that literally spend 15k to get one 5/5 gem.     People say it will be a good diablo game if there were no p2w aspects, but in reality, this is nothing more than a mediocre(at best) experience of diablo 3 with absolute 0 passion and interest put into it. There are many games that flop, but at least, in some games you see they tried to make it good, but they didn't had money, or experience, or both to make at least a decent game

Worse than the worst of the Asian phone Gatcha style games. 0/10 the RNG here makes you feel like you really ARE in hell! Even worse, the boss design and playability really make it feel like a poorly ported phone game on your gaming computer.

    I played Diablo 3 for YEARS. Waiting for something new. And they instead WASTE their own time making this pathetic garbage, and extending the waiting time on Diablo 4. Obviously they wanted more money from the costs of paying for the silence of the women that spoke out and created these scandals, but to f**k over every single Diablo die-hard fan because you're too dense to realize that us gamers (who do have phones) are the reason that your company exists.

    If only people weren't so brainwashed, pathetic, dense, and easy cattle who have a mind of their own but don't do anything about being abused like the women at Blizzard all because they are 'scared' to be normal(saying no and speaking out instantly).. We could reach a level to get a wide majority to stop playing their games, and buying their garbage. Maybe then they'd listen. But no.

The players could not use any bypass to behave differently. That is the beginning of this spiral of falling. Now they gave out the diablo immortal. Let‘s have a look what behaviors they designed to be allowed and enforced in this game. Basically, there are two types of the gamers who are allowed to fit in this game. First type is free but light players. These players don’t care about the forced social in the game such as ranks,. They are also very easy to get bored quickly since the game experience gets very repetitive after finish the storyline. Getting legendary gems won’t change the repetitiveness since the grinding just gets harder and harder but gives same experience. I am this type of players. Personally, I feel annoyed by the level limits during the main story line. That is just cheap trick to make the story longer. After playing different modes for about 10 times, I feel very bored by grinding in rift or killing 60 monsters for some contracts. There is no incentives for me to stay in this game after level 60. The paid players obviously are the second type players and who are welcomed and targeted in this game. Unfortunately, they are treated unfairly harsh in this game. The micro transaction mechanism is way too overwhelming for most of the paid players. The game is purposely designed to be painful for those who like to get involve with pvp or continue after main story. Maybe whales can enjoy more but most people won’t gain happiness by paying some money, instead they feel be played, humiliated and cheated. So either a solo player who only cares about story like me or whales players can enjoy this game. I have to say this business model is interesting and risky. I rated this game solo and cooperative experience with a score of 7 out of 10. Most of the part such as graphics, story writing and immersiveness is ok but buggy sometimes. Nothing is exceptionally good nor particularly bad. The experience after level 60 gets horrible. It becomes boringly repetitive and very frustrating if someone cares about combat rating score. Just like all the other made in China games, the eager to rip off players’ wallet gets very ugly. That is how partnering with some big Chinese game publishers ruin this type of games.     I have been testing out this game for the past month and I feel like I have reached an significant enough amount of experience from the game to make my review now. I have leveled a single character, progressed through the full storyline, participated in most daily activities, including world bosses, raids and other multi-player content.

    The equipment mechanics are significantly dumbed down, requiring little to no thought or concideration into which items to equip. So this mechanics gets a "boring" score from me.

    The story was fair, it was cool to see familiar faces agian. But the experience of the story was constantly taking an immersion loss due to other players being around in the background from time to time. "Cool, but needs tweaks" score from me.

    The forced multi-player aspect was somewhat refreshing as you reached the end game and things started getting grindy. And participating in raids and bosses together with other players was quite fun. This gets a "Fun" score from me.

    Menu systems were a really bad experience for a pc user. They felt were mobile-like and definitely desereves an overhaul for the pc version. That aside, it was for the most parts quick and easy to navigate. How ever, the queue systems for raids are really bad. It takes forever to get a group, because groups are pre-determined and if one player disconnects or are busy, its not possible to start. And this kept happening a lot. This would have been much better solved with an alternate mode which allows you to simply auto-join with the first available players who are queued in an automatic system. So this receives a "stupid design choice" score from me.

    As you hit the end-game you are pretty much left with waiting around for zone events, trials and bosses and acheivements. And to do daily bounty quests and collection of beastiary entries. A zone trial or boss might require you to wait several days for it to spawn, which is inconvenient since I might not be able to participate at that time. And it also requires enough other players to show up to even be able to complete it. Sometimes it even just crashed the game just as the event started, so that I missed out on the majority of the acheivement progressions. When it works out it feels nice, but when it doesn't it sucks. This could definitely use some tweaks but has a good fundation. I give this the score of "fun".

    Overall, you get a nice main story and level up journey which feels somewhat authentic to the genre, it really fun for the first couple of weeks and you can get that completely for free. But the end-game is completely horrendous, as it removes any fun the player would expect from this kind of genre and blocks it behind a paywall, so that is the only part you are excited for, it would be a no-go for you.

    My main problem with this game is not really the fact that it's possible to pay money to progress faster, my main problem is that it breaks one of the most significant design perspectives of good games... Which is to respect the player's time!

    I have 10 hours to play TODAY, and I want to get as much done as possible. All my daily content is done within 1 hour and I can no longer get any progress until the next day. I expect to be able to put in as many hours of gameplay as I want, and continuously gain progress. And that is not possible in this game, as their monitization is designed around making your return for a breif moment every day!

    My current plan is to finish the majority of the achievements and gain as much fun as I can from the game for free, and then leave the game to be burried in dust on my shelf of bad memories.    … Expand

    Apart from the ludicrous monetization, the game indeed feels like it's between D2 and D3, but not only story wise, but also technology wise.
    In D3 the player has more primary ability options to choose from, and can also alter their abilities via runes. The Diablo Immoral version is a lot more bland in that regard.

    If you don't care about humanity, worker rights and art it might be your game. At the beginning it is kinda fun but lacks in endgame because you have to put hundreds of dollar inside. And I'm not even talking about the problematic moral of supporting an antidemocratic company like activision blizzard

    It’s good for a mobile game. It has a lot of paid bonus content and p2w elements. For a casual player sitting on the toilet once a day it’s okay. At level 40 is where the fun stopped for me. Levelling up became a chore and the story elements felt far and few between, in the later levels. Also playing with friends doesn’t really feel impactful or fun.     This game only gets a 3/10 for amazing mobile graphics, sound and really tight controls. Everything else is meh or pile of p2w crap. For f2p players PvP doesn’t exist.    … Expand

    Although a technically deeply capable product, the game is ultimately ruined by monetization mechanics so predatory that there simply is no way for me to overlook them when considering the game's overall merits.

    This has put me off buying future Diablo products, as well as anything else from Blizzard, in the near future.

    Diablo Immortal is a simplified and more accessible version of the series that can still provide hours of mindless fun and entertainment. Sadly, the games suffers in the long run because of all the tedious grinding and the greedy monetization system, making a game experience that starts as very enjoyable much less so as time goes on.
