    The game itself is great. But there are several problems. Examples, from minor to major:
    They kept bugs from the original. Like opening a door, the door visually stays closed but gameplay wise, it is open. Weird to keep something like that in the game, would have been a good opportunity to fix that.

    A bigger issue is Blizzard´s inability to communicate. One example: frost mastery was breaking immunities. No communication from blizz whether this was intentional or a bug. Some patch happens, frost mastery no longer breaks immunity. No communication that that would happen (in a game with limited respeccs). And, since there are no patch notes, and no communication from blizz, we can´t even be 100% certain that they changed it on purpose, might just be a bug now.

    The biggest issue though, that runs this down from 9/10 to 1/10 is the servers. Since I started playing, the servers are down up to 10 hours per day. Every day. Open Bnet/tcpip play was removed, so all you can do in this quintessencial multiplayer game is play singleplayer.
    Oh, and of course Blizzard´s communication on the server issues is barely existent.    … Expand

    It has been almoast a month sice relese of the game and still cant log in properly. Every day thare are trobles with finding your characters on the server. The game closes it self constantly and you lose your progress. It is simply annoying and sometimes unplayable. Activision GET YOU **** TOGEATHER!

    An outage normally results in you losing items and experience in a rollback. Yes, multiple rollbacks a day. Losing any good items you picked up.

    This is awful. I just can't play this.

    A whole week servers are down and failing.
    Awful ignorant support, replying once per 24 hours!!! Ridiculous!
    btw none of their replies showed any info on what's going on.

    DO NOT have any deals with them! EVER, or you will be scammed one way or another!

    Не могу понять одного. Как можно так налажать с серверами? Реально, ну просто непоиграть. То тупо бнет лежал, теперь очереди и не пускает. А когда играть вообще?

    Игра деrbmo! Потому что дисконнекты и потеря прогресса, вылеты на рабочий стол, и пропажа воли халима из инвентаря, а это полный аnoos!! Я bля собирал волю халима, а они отбирают!

    This is a best game with maximum additive gameplay. This game was released completed. I was happy to play and ended game on maximum level of hardcore. I have complit Diablo II. Achivment complit. But after 3 weeks after release servers still dont work. Why developers? Why the most popular mode don't work?

    Diablo II: Resurrected is a failure. If you want to play the game, have in mind that they don't have a way to restore player data. Any random rollbacks are time lost for you. No refunds will be given if the game removes your progress or even deletes your hero by a random chance. We are paying full price for a beta game, announced as fully released.

    If server issue can be avoided by playing offline, the game, however, crash far too much, making it just unplayable. It's unacceptable for a released product. Even an alpha release doesn't crash that much...

To play offline mode - game request to log in every 30 days to verify your license so I waited in queue to log in half hour and then was through in the end if queue again. All I want to do is play as my Online character, which was hyped up to be able to play no matter what console you have (and now I can't access them at all!).     And instead of just communicating that they are working on it, they blame the players for the servers being overloaded. They don't even know why players love the original. For the end game, for the hunt for better and better prey, for leveling up together.

    They would probably prefer it if everyone pays 40 bucks, plays the story once and uninstalled it to relieve the server.

    Very good game if you played D2 twenty years ago.

    But, It's been 3 or 4 weeks I can't play (like so many others) because of connexions problems. If I want to play, I have to wait 1 hour and half every time. So I can't play and Blizzard refuse refunding because I have already played at the beginning.... What a shame...

    One month after release the servers continue to get worse. You can't get a refund because you have to do that within a few days of purchase. Too bad pleasure didn't let us know they were going to let everyone down a month after lunch. Save your money for something else if you were expecting a good multiplayer experience.

Пропадают предметы которых вернуть увы нельзя! Больше 100 часов игры просто вникуда когда пропали редкие руны. ЭХ жаль... Но "0" Эта самая адекватная оценка этой игре на данный момент.Это просто дно!     Extremely disappointed. It is impossible to play online. If you play offline, you cannot use those chars to play online. Servers keep crashing, you keep getting errors, etc... They have turned one of the best games into a total piece of garbage.

    Это худший запуск за всю историю онлайн игр с которым мне довелось столкнуться. Поиграть в выходные это что-то из области фантастики. Приходится ждать своей очереди более часа. Але разработчики, вы в своём уме?!

    The amount of crashes makes the game impossible to evaluate. I'm not even excited for Diablo IV, it's been way too much disappointments since Diablo III.
    It's a cashgrab. Go play something else, something that at least doesn't crashes 20 times a day.

The developer ignored issues religious folks, politicians had with the game, as it was a product made for us gamers. That is why we weren't so angry when we saw bugs and other issues that made the game look a bit amateurish in some cases. Sadly, the new woke edition dispels this charm...    … Expand

    I feel that this game is rather unpolished on release. That is, there's hardly any difference between this version and its beta. And it's still going off on it. I see that they reworked the graphics in their own image and the engine based off of it so I like that.

    Total lack of QoL features you would expect from a modern game. Master sound slider? No. Bufff/Debuff Icons? Ofc not. Move bound to left click? Nope. There are loads of small features they should ve added.

    For this price, we should expect rebalancing, additional endgame content, QoL features and functional fking servers...    … Expand

    248 attempts later to make a new game. 2 minutes in, kill a skeleton, pick up an dirty little stamina potion and game crashes. Damn, that sucks guess I will get back in quick, I already waited in the queue earlier and surely it has died down.

    This is the D2R experience. Despite how good the game looks, how great the nostalgia, the fact is that this game has so many unplayable features and crashes, it makes me embarrassed to say I bought this game. IDK why I thought Blizzard would have made something good, when they have been been feeding us **** through a mesh screen for so long. Hopefully the company just gives up after all the lawsuits and bad reviews in the next couple months before they can disappoint us with a Diablo 4 and whatever half ass experience they are going to give us in the future.    … Expand

    This is a classic diablo 2 remastered, yes. It has nice graphics and sound but It lacks any innovation and QoL improvments. They could have done so much more than just upgrade the graphics but they really didn't. It sometimes is annoying to play cause the game aged incredibly bad. It's still a classic and worth a while, but there just isnt enough content to please a lot of veterans thatThis is a classic diablo 2 remastered, yes.     No remake, ever, is going to be worth the full price tag of a new game of current generation, EVER. You don't sell a used car with a new coat of paint the original price. Thats dumb as hell. Never buy a remake or remastered the full price. Make it an upgrade for those who already own the game, or make a new standard price for REMASTER or REMAKE like 60% of current gen price MAX.

    Just wanted to play D2R again after a week and now I get into a waiting queue. I need to wait 10+ minutes before playing the game online? Just opened a ticket for refund. What is going on with Blizzard? They made wonderful games in the past, but nowadays they are not even playable anymore...

    Wait in queue for 45 minutes and my characters are gone. Tons of crashes, queues every single day, server outages every single day. This game has absolutely no polish and is just a cash grab.

    Why can't I play offline without lagging servers and generally connected? I don't need online modes!

    At least for a while, you restore the network game and characters. But the offline mode has not worked for almost a week - it requires a connection. WHY?

    10 адских коров из 10 за оригинал, но эта игра попросту не работает, каждый день выключены сервера, постоянные откаты прогресса.. Ад для сердечников. А главное нельзя вернуть деньги за игру. Возможно если бы можно было играть по лакалке, то было проще, но и это убрали из игры.     Great game. But servers go down serveral times a day which means the risk of losing level progress and items. Despite the servere problems Blizzard is not willing to issue a statement giving the community at least some informations.

    -For non-working online mode. At the time of writing, problems with servers have not been solved for 5 (think about it!) days. Is this a blizzard quality? No. This is the level of a garage company.
    -The appearance of the Amazon leaves much to be desired

    I loved this game back in 2000 and this is the only reason I give it 4. Firstly connectivity issues is just not funny joke. Secondly design of characters Diablo should be gore and bloody and amazon and sorcerres shoudl be sexy. I can imagine that redesigned characters fits much more to what we can imagine as when we think about amazons but it looses it's orginal character.

    The lack of communication from Blizz is appalling. The game is broken several hours per day, day after day. When it comes back up, not a word from them what went wrong, what they did to fix it, etc. Not a word from them at all.

    I'm having a love/hate relationship with the game: when it's actually working, I love it. When it's broken (and this is happening every single day now, for hours and hours at a time), I hate it. I really, really hate it.

    Blizz' poor performance in provisioning resources to support its games will most definitely impact my decision to purchase their products in the future. So, no D:I or D4 for me. I hope they think how badly they've managed D2R was worth destroying this potential customer's attitude...    … Expand

    Blizzard have thrown out a game on a really bad server. Its like they brought out the old WoW servers from 2004 to host Diabloe 2. The sever crashes every day and they keep rolling back so you lose your items and gametime.
    Do not buy until they fixe their servers.

    Nostalgia is there when you can play. We are on day 4-5 where half the day it's literally unplayable due to server issues. Trying to navigate and join games is already a pain without that since they did no work on updating those systems for the remaster. Things like baal runs are hard to find because it wont load the info on how long the games been active sometimes for a minute if at all. So just hop into one and hope it isnt an hour old. Honestly if you want a D2 experience that's fun now a days it's best to just go to Project Diablo 2, PlugY, SlashDiablo with actual qualify of life updates/upgrades and good communities.… Expand

    Game is gorgeous, when you can play. Constant disconnects, crashes and interruptions. A few days ago they added login queues where you have to wait 30-45 mins or maybe more just to enter the game. If game crashes, you go through the queues again. Awful experience, great game when it is playable

    Now it’s time for the bad news. Even on the newer console (Xbox series s) it runs into various problems, and we can get to the other systems here in a little bit. On the series s, it often runs into animation problems, there are many examples of this. The ghosts and spectres lose their colour/all ghost animation so they just look like floating bones, you can’t see any of your sorceress skills, pally skills, curses, etc which can ruin intense gameplay moments when you don’t know if you should be attacking or not because you don’t know if you are cursed. The only way to fix that was to restart the game, which used to be a easy-ish fix, now with the new queue patch they added, toss that out the window. Waits of 100-200 people, sometimes more, which have equaled almost an hour of wait time in some cases, result in extreme frustration. They also do not allow you to play your Sp account while you wait in queue, and for those who want to get in a Diablo experience while still waiting for the online mode to finally work again, this cannot even be the case anymore. Another common glitch that occurred to me is when I took a town portal, occasionally my game would crash. It never used to bother me that much but now with the introduction of the queue, it’s a prospect that fills me with gamer dread when I see my game accidentally crash, wondering how long it will be until I can get back in now.

    Now some problems with the older generation of consoles. None of them better hope to ever actually complete Uber’s at all. Also don’t even think of playing Hc because there are issues that are 100% not your fault. I’ve seen others connection interruptions kill their hc characters cause they can’t react before they drop. Also in regards to the Uber thing (this statement also applies to small condensed areas, with waypoints, temples, portals, etc) it used to be that your character was immune until you fully loaded, now your character loads in before you officially do, making you easy pickings for the monsters that are sometimes there. People are often dead before they are fully loaded in and given a chance to react, making many basic interactions (going through portals or down and stairs/level of dungeon) a interruption of gameplay rather then a smooth transitional one.

    This review I wrote entirely on my phone, I am not a fast Texter or typer on my phone and my grammar isn’t the best. Yet I was able to write this entire review, along with putting my phone down, going to wash some dishes, making 2 coffees and cooking some food, come back in a queue that started at 131 and still have 20 people in front of me waiting to get in. 7/10 if the game didn’t have the queue now and didn’t have connection issues before/now. The graphic fails was a letdown before, now with the queue it’s 10x worse. Also the fact with the older consoles not doing so well, + the servers and them not letting people making new games as fast and other stuff… I hesitate to give it a 1/10… I mean the last point defiantly belongs to VV and I can’t take that away from them, they deserve that much atleast :/ otherwise 0/10 cause the queue wait is one of the worse things ever    … Expand

    Game was nearly unplayable at Launch. They finally introduced a queue system to "fix" the strain on their servers. I don't know about pc or ps4 but on xbox the queue to get in takes about an hour on average at this point, and about half the time when I get to front of queue I get a message that says "could not connect to server" then I get kicked into offline mode and have to start over inGame was nearly unplayable at Launch. Я заплатил не малые деньги за игру и ещё должен отстоять в очереди, чтобы поиграть. Вход в комнату введя название это нечто. Постоянно выбивает ошибку соединения и после этого ни в какую комнату не зайдёшь и не создашь, при этом сам интернет отличный… Expand

Не советую данный продукт, а ну и естественно не кто вам не вернет деньги за не работующий продукт. Самое главное забрать ващи 25+$ а на остальное (сами знаете).     Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
