    Wrote the servername wrong? Shadowban. Server is full? Shadowban. Trying to join the server just before it is hosted? Shadowban. Changed characters to quick? Shadowban. Apparently the developers didn't know how the playerbase played, or still plays, good old Diablo 2. They don't know their own game. Now they created shadowbans and server queues to prevent players from    Few things.

    Apparently the developers didn't know how the playerbase played, or still plays, good old Diablo 2. They don't know their own game. Now they created shadowbans and server queues to prevent players from enjoying the game, instead of providing good stable servers.

    Oh, and they told us to change only very little in the game, to provide the good old experience. Well, they have changed characters to nestle to modern diversity propaganda, instead of making some nessecary convenience changes.    … Expand

    I remember when I first played Diablo II, it was a game you can play any time you would like to, not a game like this one which you should either play early in the morning or late past midnight.

    Sadly, this is not the game I would like to play.

    This game is a joke and so is the company. Horrible servers, ridiculous wait times, constantly disconnects and makes you wait hours to try again. Cant believe you can sell a game that isn’t even playable. Save you money for some thing you can actually log in and play!!

    The new servers are much worse than the original ones, ping is terrible, much worse than in original D2. The new characters look so awful also, not even similar to the originals.
    There are also a LOT of bugs, and many of them weren't solved because they would "alter" the experience, even though everyone, even purists and veterans are asking for them to be fixed.     Game is generally good... When you can get passed the 2+ hour queue at times. It is truly bizarre, you can login at 4am EST and have a 500+ queue that takes hours to get in but you try prime time 8pm EST and it will be single digits. Something is fishy and queue is completely broke. Seems like they used the exact same server infrastructure as 20 years ago. But typical Blizzard fashion theyGame is generally good...     It would be not that bad indie game, like 6-7 out of 10, but for Blizzard it is just very bad:
    Bad UX and text sizes on 1080p
    Server errors with roll-backs
    Glitchy controls and strange animations here and there :(

    Expensive to a poor remake. But the worst is the fact you cant play it. Superb long queues, you ententer game, crash, back to queue from the start, is like 1 crash every 10 min while playing. You simple cant play it.

    I am giving a zero just because I can't even play the game due to Blizzard incompetence to handle their servers. I am also submitting a refund ticket as I write this review. This company cannot be trusted, think twice before buying any other products from them.

    Played the beta and was impressed, so i preordered. That was a mistake, When i finally was able to get in, the experience was great. Now they added que times in joining matches. Your online character currently cannot be played offline. The game is not a bad remake, it just has incompetent clowns who released it in a poor state.     I did not wanted to make a review on the game since I was enjoying nostalgia pretty much. Now, there are a lot of issues with servers and they have decided to implement queues to deal with it. Instead of taking time and resources to actually fix their stuff, they put blame on the customer and blocks them from playing. Its not even a product anymore but a laughing stock.

    0/10 Game ran great during the beta, once they had my money they initiated a Queue system(just to play the game you paid for twice) Blizz acts like it's perfectly fine to piss all over it's customers during a pandemic, never buying another product from them ever again. This is the last straw.

    Servers are always down.
    For the few hours a day when they are not down the game crashes, you are not able to create or join games or you have hours long queue. They destroyed Warcraft III with reforged and now they destroyed Diablo II with resurrected. Blizzard is pretty much just a troll company at this point.

    I know a lot of people don't like the woke culture, the **** launch w/ servers, but I hate the 0 bombing... I love the game thus far. I never play games on launch date, so maybe that is why I'm less frustrated than most. Anyways, this takes me back to when I was a teenager. The graphic upgrades are phenomenal. Gameplay is great. Love it.

Various features were removed (LAN play was removed, No true offline mode, No mod support despite the promises, the servers barely work, no tcp/ip, females made ugly, no ladder or balances.     Activision Blizzard got cheap and made the game entirely online so people can't get a hold of it for free, but because they made it online only they screwed up a bunch of features; no lan support, no mod support, laggy servers that drop you, your map layout will reset after every game if just playing on single player.

    Constant server disruptions. And by constant, I mean every single day at the same time, for six days straight. And this is happening one month after launch, not on launch day or launch week. The CS team remains vague of what the problem is and is not being transparent in communicating what steps are being taken to rectify the ongoing problem, except for template PR tweets.

    Client Crashes, Charakters disappear, random Chrashes, And for the best part they "try to fix this" by giving us a Queue line with entries about 200+. Each 10 foward require round about 10 Minutes. For a game which focusses most on Multi Player, this is a Shame. There must be refund Campaign imediatly.

    "Diablo disconnected" servers down all the time. This game is great, but the issue is that Blizzard servers make it impossible to play it. Blizzard is not willing to refund players either. Scam. Last game i ever bought for them-It's a promise!

    Сначала сервера 6 дней подряд лежали по вечерам, а теперь близзы их "починили" знаете как? добавили очередь на вход в игру! теперь чтобы поиграть, нужно прождать минут 20 (это в утреннее время), вечером наверное ещё дольше будет. Я конечно всё понимаю: маленькая инди-студия, все дела.... но за этот высер сутулой собаки и возврат средств сделать нельзя -_-

    Almost a month after it's release, and the game is still experiencing daily server crashes. Technical support is a joke, they are unable or unwilling to fix the problems. Better to stay away, at current state it's not worth a single penny.

    Since release on sep 23 there have been ongoing login issues and it is now october 12. I cannot most nights reliably make a game do my magic find run and remake a new game without some sort of server error even after 30 minutes, Blizzard yet again dropping the ball and failing to deliver on what there customers want.     Do you enjoy constant game crashes, server crashes, long load times even though on ssd and artificial game creation time limits THEN LOOK NO MORE. This garbage game has all this and more horrible things!

    In all honesty, I love diablo 2 but this remake is a goddamn mess, stay away.

Unstable servers going down wiping progress when they do rollbacks, servers going down 4 DAYS in a row with little to no communication from bliz, fixes makes running fast games in succrsion impossible and is implemented without a word. Game needs better server infrastructure for europe. Dosn't seem like bliz Will do that. Too costly for them i suppose. Do not reccomend if you have to play om EU servers.… Expand

    A lot of bugs.
    Too much downtime without proper explanation.
    40$ spent.
    Several night plans already gone wrong because of downtime.

    Once you get past the 40% server uptime... you also run the risk of a roll back on your character.

    D2 has always been a great game. Unfortunately, Blizzard is no longer a great or even decent company. The game play is still top tier; however, the game is plagued with bugs. Do you trust current day Blizzard to fix their bugs? I don't.     Game is as good as ever when it works...which is unfortunately not very often even a month after launch.
    -Server down half the day every day
    -Regular crashes when servers are up.
    -Regular roll backs after server crashes lose levels/items.
    -Virtually zero communication from blizzard about timescales for fixing any of this.

    Can't recommend.

    D2R was released in September as a completed game. Blizzard's servers have been unplayable. Often, server down times result in loss of items and loss of experience. I do not recommend purchasing what appears to be an unplayable incomplete game.

    Paying 40 bucks and not being able to play the game 3/4 of the time is a REAL PLEASURE, if you're not an old veteran of the game you shouldn't even consider buying it. 40 bucks for a visual upgrade is NOT ACCEPTABLE

    Cada día a la misma hora los servidores se caen hasta la noche.

    Encima se niegan a devolver el dinero a los usuarios.

    The game itself is epic fun as it always has been, the improved graphics and quality of life changes are very nice but it's all redundant if you can't log into the the servers to play the actual game... refusing to refund people but not communicating/fixing the issues... drops it to a Zero!! you    As a long standing player of the original Diablo 2 LoD i am appalled at the state of D2R!!

    5 days in a row now, servers are down. People are losing progress, items and their patience. Add to this, the communication is nonexistent. Unplayable, therefore 0.

    In one word: refunds.

    The lobby was better back in the day and is practically useless in its current form.     The lobby was better back in the day and is practically useless in its current form. You can't really search for games and your game will only appear on the list for so long before it's shoved down and no one can see it. Not that it matters because....

    The servers are routinely down 10-12 hours with no explanation and often come with rollbacks which means you lose gear and progress gains at random intervals. If you manage to get connected you are frequently unable to join friends games or public games and will receive error messages ranging from "that game doesn't exist" or is "no longer joinable". The BNET friends list integration is janky at best. If you managed to get into a game, good luck staying in it between the servers instability and the client's inability to run for longer than an hour without crashing. At first I thought that was just me, but no, it's apparently a large chunk of people that experience consistent crashing.

    The design decisions on the UI are baffling. For 12 years the D3 interface has had the exit button on the bottom right. The delete character button is now there and there is next to no difference between the delete character prompt and the exit game prompt. They claim they can't restore your characters but the ability to roll your characters back shows that this is either intentional, negligent or lazy as hell. It's 2021, who's out here running servers with no backup/restore ability.

    Blizzard has massive bank. There is no excuse for the state of this game. None. If you've got that much money and your product is performing like this you're just out here grabbing as much cash as possible and giving zero concern to your customers. Good luck on getting a refund, I've been arguing for two days that they've sold me broken garbage but have gotten no where. My advice to you is force a charge back. They've done nothing but bait and switch us at this point. The two Beta periods I was able to participate in were much more stable and functional than what has been delivered for public consumption.

    This could all have had some of the sting lessened if we were communicated with but that's apparently not in the budget either. We get nothing but vague patch updates and copypasta messages about investigating the issues.

    If you're like me and played this game in it's original incarnation, don't waste your money. That Blizzard is long gone. The old game still works and there are solutions out there for playing it on a modern system. You're better off getting your hand on that using the Plugy mod. It's much more stable, you won't have to deal with the servers deleting your stuff and you can back up your characters locally. Not that you'll have to, the old interface wasn't designed by an imbecile and works quite well.

    Save your cash. There are better games from better developers. This is just exploitation of my generation's longing for the games of yesteryear at this point. I miss the old Blizzard like a lot of people do but this current incarnation is not them. Not even close.    … Expand

    Diablo II: Resurrected is far from perfect. The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences. While I appreciate that this legendary title is now available in an improved format, it’s not a caveat-free recommend.

    Diablo II returns with refreshed graphics and unaltered gameplay (apart from some small improvements). It’s as fun as I remembered, so I quickly felt at home and gave in to nostalgia. However, it’s hard not to notice that beneath revamped visuals lies a 21 years old design. [12/2021, p.32]
