    I am very glad that I lived to see the remaster of the game. Everything is done very high quality. My nostalgia is satisfied. Thank you Blizzard for finding people who could do everything well.

    Launch day - 8/10 (only had some time when I could not create games, ping is fine, no rollbacks for me)

    Diablo II Resurrected is exactly how I imagine it in the 2000s! Modern graphics, new features, gameplay and soundtrack unchanged. This is what made the game unique to this day

    Seeing all the negative reviews I felt like I need to respond.

    D2 was my childhood favourite, and with this remaster, the game reignited my passion for it. On my first play I created an Amazon and soon there were 8 players in game hacking and slashing from A1 Q1, and we played together for hours.     It is visually stunning, I keep myself zooming in to see all the details that were missing from the original. From time to time I switch with a press of a button to see how the original game looked like. Because in my imagination it always looked like in Resurrected, but then the harsh reality comes when I see how simplistic the original was. Resurrected is filled with life, the flags in the city are moving, even the sounds are more detailed and dynamic, as you switch between the old and the remastered version you can clearly hear the difference. They really paid attention to the smallest details.

    I had no issue playing with 8 players together, network connectivity was flawless in EU. So multiplayer works well, don't listen to the negative voices and reviews.

    Auto gold pickup is a very welcome change, and the best is that it's optional.

    If you loved the original there's nothing to complain about this version, it's the same experience with better visuals and sounds. I totally recommend to everyone who loved D2, you'll experience those childhood memories again!    … Expand

    Stunning visuals and stays true to the original game that we all know and love. I also highly recommend even new players give it a shot, it’s just as addicting 20 years later. Also appreciate that you can flip to the OG graphics, it blows my mind every time I switch

Игра именно такая какой я запомнил её из детства. Игра не заслуживает 10/10 но много людей ставят 0 из-за проблем которые к игре не относятся, так что решил поставить 10.     The same with improved graphic design, thank god. Old good original diablo is one of the best-rated games here so I am confused about people giving rapidly low scores. And there is a bunch of weird people who are posting "it is the same game" comments - which should be obvious if it's just remastered.

    Great game, perfect remaster. Everything like it should be. At the beginning problems with server, because there is too many people playing. There is also a bug with the map, but those are minor problems. Games is great with perfect graphic! There are no problems in game.

    This game is EXACTLY what was promised for me - original D2 with a new look and some small quality of life improvements.     If you are expecting a visual upgrade of your old beloved classic, then you will have an amazing time playing it. It is perfect? No. It is well done? Yes, very.

    I consider this a great remaster, with animations, visuals, cinematics and QOL improvements just great.

    So in summary:
    If you want to play this game for the very first in your life - manage expectations, this game is 20 years old (consider the gameplay) it is fun, but it will not stand well against like Path of Exile, Grim dawn etc.
    If you loved this game as a kid but old visuals kept you from replaying the game, go for it, there will not be a better time.

    Новая графика великолепна, при этом полностью соответствует оригиналу. Нигде не возникает ощущения, что что-то переделали, наоборот, всегда чувствуется атмосфера той самой диаблы. Очень правильно сделали, что ничего не стали менять в геймплее. Для новшеств есть диабла 4, а это ремастер, он и    Идеальный ремастер.     Secondly, in terms of minimum requirements, I had to update my Windows from 7 to 10 which was fine because it was finally the motivation I needed to    Firstly, I love that, this game has not forgotten its roots.     Secondly, in terms of minimum requirements, I had to update my Windows from 7 to 10 which was fine because it was finally the motivation I needed to move out of the stone age. Not sure, what this AVX support business is but my computer is over ten years old and still runs it so if you don't have a computer built in the stone age and runs Windows 8 or later you should be fine. My video card is super old too but still runs it with no lag whatsoever.

    Thirdly, the gameplay is just amazing, my friend and I have been crawling through dungeons, completing quests and dying innumerably. It's the way gaming was and still should be. I really don't give a damn about this TCP support, it hasn't changed anything for me, if you want a private game with friends, just create one with a password on it, problem solved. Furthermore, this game doesn't accommodate the cry babies that /gquit at the sign of any difficulty, you actually have to earn your gear and be on to it if you want to snatch up any item before some one else does.

    Fourthly, music/sound, this game is so cinematic and yet, has punchy gameplay to support it, the sound effects have a crunch that is really satisfying, the music changes to all the different terrains, perhaps you're in a dark, underground dungeon or a sprawling city, there's a soundtrack for all situations. Furthermore, All the quest givers have their own voice acted narration and speak every word, not like those half-attempted narrated games you get these days, with NPC's talking a couple of sentences then nothing more... All the voices are different too, so each voice has its own unique style.

    Fifthly, the flow, there's something about the way this game flows that is really gripping. It's not found anywhere else today and this is continuously overlooked. For example, you start off pretty much naked and exploring a cave but then get thrown into a world of lore, mystery and grandeur. You're forever wondering where the journey will take you next? Then, the low drop rate of epic items means that not every player you encounter online is a generic, overpowered God, but you will see them die all the time because of their lack of gear or experience. It's no walk in the park, and therefore there is a gritty, brutal but tactful and persevering mechanic behind its gameplay.

    Lastly, I believe this Metacritic page is getting bombed by people upset with the game. Those instant gratification types or those being insincere and creating multiple accounts to bring the rating down. Just have a look at the amount of ratings that have been placed in comparison to other games on Metacritic, it's absurd. To those people I have the following message, Blizzard have done their best to remain in communication with and provide support to all those that are having difficulty. Check out the forums, they are doing their best.

Да есть недочеты, да в современном мире без цензуры и толерантности нихрена не выпустишь (особенно в связи с последними скандалами), но я не ждал новой игры, я не ждал мультиплеер, я ждал Diablo 2 с более симпатичной графикой.Лично по моему выпустили как раз то что ждали те кто играл Д2 в начале 2000х.     Excellent remaster for great game. People write many negative based on network problems on first two days after start.     Everything that made the original great, is great again!

    Some server issues at launch but all resolved now. Incredibly faithful to the original, which is testament to the brilliant game design of Diablo 2. If you loved the original, you'll love this.

    This might be the best remaster I've ever seen. I can see the effort put into staying true to the essence of the original, and it's gone on such a fine line that I respect it. However, I am disappointed to see the low user score for this game despite this great job.

    Diablo 2 was the best ARPG ever made...Resurrected is even better. 4k 60fps ultra plays and looks incredible. 100/100 masterpiece.

    This game deserves a 10 out of 10 for being a perfect remaster of a beloved classic. Besides a few hiccups at launch day the game has been running smoothly and the polish and love for the source material really shines.

I always play through the story once with a build and then came back to it a year later to do it again, so for those who've min-maxed their enjoyment of the game down to ladder climbing and rune-searching, I    It's the game I grew up loving, but with nostalgia goggles pre-applied. Absolutely magnificently done by Vicarious Visions.

I always play through the story once with a build and then came back to it a year later to do it again, so for those who've min-maxed their enjoyment of the game down to ladder climbing and rune-searching, I can't relate but I hope you find what you're looking for here like I have.

    I love that I get to enjoy this game with my family and friend that loved it like I did, and all those friends who are now willing to give it a shot! I expect many many weekends spent grouping with my homies playing this wonderful remake for years to come. It's my personal favorite of the year.

    Oh yeah, before I go F*CK Activision-Blizzard leadership for what they did to their employees (specifically the women who worked under them), for their anti-consumer practices, for horrible workplace culture. Everything bad that happens to them is deserved, and I hope those who worked under these circumstances maintain their jobs or easily find new ones. That aside, Vicarious Visions did this game justice, and I appreciate it.

    Объективно - шедевр, это идеальный пример, как нужно делать ремастер старых игр. Поставил бы 9 за редкие, совсем незначительные баги, но т.к. на игру необоснованно напали "вечнонедовольные" то это железно 10/10

    I experienced technical issues when I tried to play on the 2nd and 3rd days after launch, but I don't believe those issues will still occur later, so I don't think it's fair to review a game based on things like that. It feels polished, but at the same time, it still feels like the original game. I was able to play with a friend and it felt like diving into multiplayer Diablo II all over again. This time, I was playing more hardcore than I did when I just completed the campaign in the original game. I'm doing loot runs, carefully building my character with the best loot possible, planning to go beyond Normal difficulty and into Nightmare and Hell difficulty this time. If you enjoyed Diablo II before, I highly recommend this!… Expand

I was still able play single player! Also note that ladder hasn't started yet, so there is absolutely no reason to demand 0 lags on launch. Singleplayer works well.     В первый день были баги, сейчас не наблюдаю. Все нравится, в старую версию играла лет 15 назад, недолго и не прошла до конца. Очень рада, что могу сейчас это сделать с приятной графикой :)

    Мы долгие годы ждали этого дня. Долгие годы искали заменитель Дьябло-2 среди его, так называемых, "убийц". Но никто не стал убийцей, даже (и в особенности) Дьябло 3. И не мог им стать. Сложно соревноваться с лучшим, будучи лишь пародией на свою тень. А лучше чем Дьябло 2 мог оказаться только Дьябло 2, адаптированный под современную картинку. Лорд Разрушения живет на моем компьютере сМы долгие годы ждали этого дня. Долгие годы искали заменитель Дьябло-2 среди его, так называемых, "убийц". Как мне показалось, даже более близкими к атмосфере первой части. Даже ролики переработали. Но при всем при том, не убили ни геймплей ни классические механики.
    Отдельно порадовало, что мои сохраненки, бережно переносимые сквозь года с одной машину на другую, обрели жизнь в новой оболочке. За что я отдельно искренне благодарен разработчикам.
    Цена кусается, согласен, но тут наверно беда не столь цены, сколько нашей бедности. Но мы же знаем, что голь на выдумку хитра, не так ли?)
    Персонажей переработали, да. Сделали их ближе к реальности. Но я не скажу, что прямо всех изуродовали: Сорка все так же прекрасна, Друид сходил в качалку и возмужал, Варвар и Амазонка стали менее фентезийными, Некромант все так же мрачен и пафосен, а Ассасинка стала азиаткой (что в целом даже логично). Палладин всегда был смуглым, теперь он обрел лицо. В оригинале они все выглядели кучкой цветных пикселей в спрайтовой графике, все остальное дорисовывала наша фантазия, только и всего :)

    This is the game I remember but beautiful. While there are quality of life improvements like a shared stash this is a decades old game and it plays like it. In my opinion this is a good thing, not everyone agrees.

Monster animations are all as faithful to the original, in spite of a 2020 coat of detailing. Go ahead and press G - you can see the legacy graphics for yourself and compare how the difference in two decades are so si.ilar... ...all the while, the sounds are remastered. AI is designed from original source code. Level design is unchanged. The abusable things are still abusable. Even the loading screen is the same legacy screen! This is the Diablo 2 you remembered, and it looks amazing.

    VV's added some 2021 to the papa of "RNGesus" while staying strictly to the original design. For example, you never had things like "auto gold pick-up", or a friend's list in the lobby to quickly join your buddies, or an ability to compare items side by side without flipping between the two. Monumental additions these are not - VV changes to the D2 are helpful in the background =because= any changes in a remaster ought to be barely noticeable (Warcraft reforged being example of what not to do).

    Some will say - I don't know what to do! The game never told me! No "information book with the CD" anymore! No guidance on how to play! That's exactly why D2:R is an awesome game to play. In Diablo 2's time, it was sink or swim as a gamer. "Here's a masterpiece dungeon crawler - it's not rocket science, but it's on you to discover the details for yourself. You're going to die." Or just Google it, you dolt.

    Some will say - organizing items is a pain. Did you run out scroll of town portal? Maybe if you stopped picking up useless garbage like a vacuum cleaner, it wouldn't be so bad. Besides, this is a 20 year old game - "suck it up princess". VV even gave you 4 extra stashes, 3 shared across characters, so you don't need mules to transfer items anymore. Hey look - another nice 2020 touch, without violating the spirit of the game. That's what I'm talking about.

И меня поразило как в таких угнетенных условиях они сделали, не постесняюсь этого слова лучший ремастер за всю историю игр. Мне очень понравился Диабло в новом виде.     Not being victim of this internet outrage I've been enjoying the game instead of feeling neglected because something isn't exactly like I wanted it to be. Great graphical overhaul and great quality of life improvements. Still feels/looks the part. Love it!

    It's just amazing. It's exactly what a remaster should be. They stayed true to the setting, all the blood and everything is there and improved in some places. I hope D4 takes hints from this remaster because it's definitely a step in the right direction. 10/10.

    People don't consider this is a remastered game, not a new one. There are plenty of users who played 20 yrs ago. Quite good remastering, eventhough there are still problems that this game had from the original.

    Just as remembered. Can't believe I can play d2 without pain in my eyes. Can't believe it looked so bad, when I tried d2r first time, this was exactly how i was remembering it. How cool it is how imagination works. Outstanding job truly, some quality of life things could be added, but, damn, I live it!!!

Playing the original Diablo2 had issues for my hands as they were begin to hurt from all the mouse clicking. The PS5 controller is ergonomic and allows me to play for hours without jeopardizing my ability to work my development job. The 60 FPS mode is buttery smooth and very enjoyable.     Я человек который не играл в оригинальную диабло, и купил ремастер потому что захотелось, и как же это офигенно! Проделана хорошая работа, игра выглядит так же, но лучше, идеальный ремастер, а это атмосфера мммм, я конечно знаю что это заслуга людей которые делали игру 20 лет назад, но у новых разрабов была возможность все похерить, но нет, выполнено на 5+.     I was so excited for this game and for the most part it did not disappoint. The server issues at launch were terrible but have gotten better in recent months. If they could fix some of the really dated mechanics it would be even better. The stash and rune/gem storage definitely needs a stacking ability.

    Better graphics, better movement, better audio, somewhat active patching from the devs, better user experience overall.

    I have no clue what these people are smoking, or why they jumped on an hate train, but this game felt amazing to me. Activision-Blizzard are creating fiascos, such as Diablo Immoral, but this is not one of them.

The changes in character design are likely to rile up returning players, and the archaic gameplay probably won’t agree with younger generations weaned on more streamlined, sophisticated experiences.
