I'm honestly confused as to what more people want. The campaign lasted me a solid nine hours in co-op and both of us loved every moment of it. And that's just the campaign. This includes shaders and other Tess-exclusive items.

I purposefully avoided buying the first two expansions at release because I knew they were going to be just as shallow or worse than the first two expansions of the first game. I was correct, they had incredibly weak stories and barely any added content. Forsaken, however, proves to be yet another Taken King-level overhaul. There will be mindless haters saying that it's literally worse than Desert Bus, and there will be raving fanboys saying that it's literally better than every top 10 game combined, but honestly, when it comes down to it this was just a good, enjoyable and fun expansion.

Beware the Annual Pass, however! We have no idea what it might give us.

The community will always go against Eververse but Bungie have sadly stood firm on their decision to keep her in the game. However, it's no where near as bad as it was in the first few months of Destiny 2.

If you're looking to get in to Destiny 2, the Legendary Edition is $60 which includes the base game, both year one dlc's and Forsaken. Definitely worth the price.

The expansion is good and rekindles my interest. All the changes are good. People dont seem to understand the work that goes into triple A titles. DLC takes a lot of people and time to finish, so logically it costs something. If you are broke i could see why you are angry but from an objective POV this expansion is the best yet, much better than the the first two DLC.

An absolutely fantastic, transformative DLC. The only negatives would be the poorly redesigned infusion system and the forced participation in PVP for the Ace of Spades Exotic.

The game is a solid 9/10, but I'm giving it a 10/10 to help alleviate the review bombing by haters who haven't even played it.

Pve never interested me and since the beginning of WoW, Leveling and doing any pve content was a true pain in the ***.

When D2 first announced their release i was happy... Till the point i saw they where downsizing quickplay to 4vs4... It's a no for me.

All the things I read about microtransactions makes my blood boil. I hate the current "buy this half finsihed game + 2 expansions and you know what? We'll toss some bullsh*t microtransactions in there too" mentality...

When I learned they changed pvp to 6vs6 again and I was really game starved at that moment I thought about giving it a shot. It was my lucky day cause the base game was free on the PSN store. I downloaded it, played some pvp etc but it was not more as a mediocre experience and the pvp felt kinda wannabe.

After watching some streamers and noticing that the pc version is so much more appealing, I decided to follow my nostalgia for D1 and give it a shot...

I played only a couple of hours yersterday... So I'm not up to date with the current state involving microtransactions, repeatability and mindless grinding etc....

BUT MY GOD!!! THIS GAME IS JUST AWESOME!! A totally different experience from the ps4! The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is fluent and fun and the story and cinematics are so entertaining and gorgeous... I think it's the first time in my gaming history that I willingly watch the cutscenes and enjoy them fully... I even look forward to leveling and completing the story... And who knows... I'll even throw in some endgame pve content!!

I bought the base game + 3 expansions for 38 euro so its MORE THEN WORTH IT IMO.

P.s.: Yes, the mmo aspects aren't as deep as Warframe or Path of Exile, yes you can't pick up as many bullsh*t as in Skyrim or The witcher and yes there aren't professions or anything else to do (I mean WTF why would you want to blacksmith or tailor while gaming... weirdos) but I think you guys just chose the wrong game for that... I love the relatively "simpel" approach of D2... For casual players at least... Can't comment if you are a "I live in my mom's basement and play 15 hours a day" kinda guy.

Simply breath-taking. It's an amazing expansion and it breaks me to see that 90% of the negative reviews are from people who want to hate on Activision or haven't even played the campaign yet. The Narrative is unlike anything we have previously seen on destiny, the feel of the came is crisp (the new weapon system and TTK changes make sure of that), and for the first time in destiny history, there is a pvp-PvE mode. Just because Bungie made massive screw-ups (the curse of the disappointment and a less disappointing Warmind) we need to remember that they orchestrated one of the greatest franchise of video game history Halo. Let's not forget that they also made The Taken King, which it is seen and Destiny 1's savior. What I am trying to say is that Bungie is capable of creating an iconic and Forsaken is nothing short of a masterpiece. Oh, and for those oblivious who say that the expansion is overpriced and that you have to pay 150$ if you haven't got the expansions, there is a bundle that you can buy for sixty bucks that include Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken. In my opinion, that IS worth the sixty dollars. Take a look at the taken king. It was also 40$ and only included 16-18 GB of content. Forsaken is ALSO 40$ and it has 47 GB OF CONTENT. That is almost enough to make Forsaken a stand-alone game. Therefore, be happy that you got a full game worth's of story, content, lore, equipment, and exotics for just 60 bucks. Expand

Let me just say I was not a fan of D2 and its first Expansion Curse of Osiris, these were bland poorly thought out shallow experiences. With Forsaken, MUCH has changed and it is clear that the developer has listened AT LAST to what the community has been asking for:

    - Random rolls.
    -Variety of end game activities.
    - A large open explorable area with a vast amount of changing activities.
    - Armour sets/mods that allow specific weapon and class builds.
    - Pvp is actually fun again!
-New Gambit mode that combines PVP/PVE is outstanding.
    - New weapon types like Bows are ALOT of fun.

All this and the new RAID is still to drop. The new areas are much, much bigger. NPC's have bounties/daily missions and the economy has been completely overhauled as has the shader system allowing free application of customisation on weapons.

Exotics are now Rare and meaningful again which is fantastic. If you do receive an exotic it actually feels special again as opposed to D2's "participation medal" system where everyone was a "winner".

Forsaken is NOT like previous expansions and really has to be experienced. I would be careful before listening to people complaining about this expansion without really doing your research or speaking to people who are playing still.

Well done Bungie, on this occasion you actually managed to get it right!!

Now to review the game. Bungie demonstrated, with Forsaken, what a good quality game should be. It IS sad that they stumble their way to this but the problems of the past have been captured in their respective reviews. This is about forsaken and they did a great job. They brought a Lot of content for PvP and PvE. The same excellent gun play with a lot more content to try it on.

The Dreaming City is very polished. The secrets, the quests, the story are all great. I think that the best comment I can say about Forsaken is that --It is so much better and interesting than what we had so far that it will be hard for non forsaken owners to imagine what Bungie was able to achieve--

Additionally Gambit is the best game mode added to this game sense the beginning. I hope they keep the quality up. Keep in mind when I started playing

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Forsaken is the newest expansion to Destiny 2, bringing Lots of content including great new story. Bungie Listened to the community and fixed many problems, in terms of weapon slot options, stat randomization, pvp ranks introduction, new activities (gambit), bounties etc. The gunplay is deeply satisfying, while you're playing in many different breath-taking environments (hours' worth of rewarding exploration) with gorgeous visuals , playing through new content, which lasts for hours. The game is available on most platforms, and is open to casual and serious players while bringing a challenge to everyone, either with pvp or the endgame raid.

However, the grind can become repetitive and sometimes I struggled to see the endgame and the point of continuous repetitive grind, once I had done everything (takes a long time to get to this point). Also, it is quite expensive and bungie killed the only interesting character in the destiny universe, Cayde-6.

Destiny is a game that you can spend hours or even days playing without running out of things to do. Beyond that, once you finally think that you’ve finished everything, bungie (the makers of the destiny franchise) releases a whole new world of options. Now while the game itself is wonderful, there are definitely a few drawbacks. For one, the cost of the game alone is enough to discourage many players, which may be one reason why sometimes it might take a long time for match making to finish. While destiny has some obvious issues and/or drawbacks, in my opinion, the pros heavily outway the cons. If you don't have the money to spend for an expensive triple A game, this game may not be for you. However, if you love playing through the campaign of a game whilst also losing yourself in a rich story, this game is perfect for you.

The death of Cayde-6 was redeemed by a pile of content that finally attracts players to Destiny 2 as much as they were attracted to it with the great The Taken King. But the road to another success was long and tricky, for both fans and developers. [Issue#291]

Forsaken continues Destiny’s great tradition of taking a lackluster opening salvo and beefing it up with content that makes the game feel complete. Were it not for the superhuman light level climb in front of me, I would have absolutely no issue recommending this the same way I recommended The Taken King. If there was a version of original Destiny you had to play, that was it, just as Forsaken is the definite version of Destiny 2 - as long as you’re willing to make that climb.
