I must say I am fairly disappointed, I loved the witcher series and I am usually a fan of the studio. With CP77 it is different. I can't count the number of bugs I have encountered. The AI is horrible, constantly doing weird things. I don't feel the background story is really well made and the lifepaths seem to make a very minuscule difference. The loot system is bloated, with too many items dropping and just not very well made and polished all around. The music is good, but too much modern rap and celebrity nonsense! I would have given it a 7, as a mediocre game, but releasing a game in this state is a shame, especially when sold on the premise of being an enjoyable and playable experience. It is a pity, given how much time has been spent on making this game. Disappointed Expand

Pros: + Perfect atmosphere. + Hugely layered customizations and total freedom to approach the game
+ High-level Storytelling, writing and impressive amount of content

Cons: - Embarrassing IA. - Many bugs in some cases even serious that affect the loading of the saves. - Melee combat system done poorly.

It really could have been great because the game shows plenty of promise. Unfortunately, it is also overhyped and undercooked. More hype isn't necessarily good when you don't deliver and Cyberpunk 2077 really should have had another year of development time. Maybe the game should be called Cyberpunk 2076 (sequence to Fallout 76 and a year too early to release).

    PROs:
    - Great visual when you can run it
    - Has absolutely amazing soundtracks
    - Voice acting is superb for most of the characters
    - Surprisingly good level design for an open-world game this big
    - Gunplay feels on par with top FPS (rare for RPG)
    - Great writing and the captivating main story
    - Well-written and interesting side missions

    CONs:
    - Bugs -- LOTS of bugs, like, on avg. people get one bug per hour of gameplay
    - Non-gunplay combat mechanic (melee, hacking, etc.) is unpolished
    - Underwhelming character customization
    - Underwhelming romance choices (2 per gender, 4 total)
    - Generic dialog options and what you say mostly won't matter
    - Poorly programmed AI
    - Mishandled marketing and PR

Most CONs are not fundamental so given enough time, can be fixed. When and if fixed, Cyberpunk 2077 is easily a 9 or even a 10 out of 10. However enough time CDPR didn't give.

As is, Cyberpunk 2077 is mediocre at best.

    - Les personnages et dialogues crédibles + doublage Fr au top.
    - Un scénario qui déboite. L'écriture nous plonge dans un univers sombre et malsain avec lequel on doit composer et avancer.La narration de certaines missions est aussi très originale. Y'a eu du boulot là-dessus.
    - Les graphismes ( si tant est que vous avez une config pour le faire tourner), car le jeu est magnifique.

    Les -
    - l'IA => A chier.... Mais genre vraiment....
    - l'IA => Obligé de le mettre 2 fois car c'est presque une faute professionnelle de l'avoir sorti en l'état.
    - Les bugs d'affichage en tout genre qui vous font dire "Ils l'ont pas testé leur jeu, c'est pas possible"
    - Crash ... Là encore ... c'est plus que gonflant d'être face à un jeu instable
    - Une map pour le moins illisible, des centaines de points d'intérêts sur un fond noir/rouge ... Bref pas très fluide

I don't care about customizations or hacking, I just want to loot stuff and go to town on bad guys. How can anyone give this game a score of 90+? 8 years of development time for this game? I was really looking forward to this since Witcher 3 is one of my favourite games but unfortunately it's a deeply dissapointing experience with a nice coat of paint on top of it. It's sad to see this is what they've produced in the last 7 years. I'd much rather see that they'd produced Witcher 4.

I just.. couldn't care less because the narrative IS NOT built properly. The game does nothing to get me in and engaged and just does its thing. Feels very bland.

Also, the visuals are ... controversial, so to say. Yes, a lot of work on design and lighting has been done. But many other games look way better on PC (Ultra, RTX OFF) and let alone PS4 that runs beautiful Last of Us 2 or Horizon: Zero Dawn like magic and at the same time stutters to deliver any sort of picture in Cyberpunk.

Not to mention the poor technical state the game is in right now.

Summary: Cyberpunk 2077 is a game with great stories and characters and interesting build options hampered by an uninteractive open world sandbox, bad AI, and a lot of bugs.

    The good:
    - The main characters are interesting, well written, and well voiced.

    - The main quest and narrative side content is every bit as engaging as the Witcher 3.

    - The environmental design is just incredible. I have never been in a city in a game that felt so much like a city. The different districts all have their own unique flair, and with creative parkour skills you can reach some amazing vistas. The interiors of most of the buildings are inaccessible though which is a bit of a let down but understandable due to the scale of the city.

    - The sound design overall as well as the music is very good and adds to the games overall aesthetic.

    - The visuals/graphics are amazing on even medium grade hardware and truly stunning when you start turning settings up.

    - The game mechanics and build options are good. Gunplay is good for a RPG with a solid cover system. The quickhack system acts as a magic system and is fun to use. Melee combat is mostly standard fair for similar type games with light and heavy attacks, blocking, and timed counters. Likewise stealth is typical for similar type games.

    The meh:
    - The side quests are well written but linear. Don't expect optional objectives or alternate resolution paths.

    - Driving is okay but needs work. The mini-map is too zoomed in when driving which causes you to miss turns or spin out from braking too hard. Also in general the cars have too much oversteer. I honestly found myself walking most of the time unless I needed to travel a few kilometers or more.

    The bad:
    - The open world sandbox is fairly empty. There are side jobs and NCPD assaults which are kind of the replacements for monster contracts and monster nests from the Witcher 3, but CDPR hasn't improved emergent gameplay relative to the Witcher 3. The only events not driven by the player are NCPD scanner hustles which are small skirmishes between cops and the gangs and/or gangs holding a few civilians hostage. I really wish they had added more variety to random events (perhaps opportunities to recover stolen goods/vehicles, rob shipments, etc.).

    - Speaking of side activities, there are almost no "fluff" interactive activities. While the game world is absolutely littered with references to braindances you can only access a couple during story missions. Besides looting random containers and buying food/drinks from vending machines basically nothing in the world is interactable.

    - The NPC AI is terrible. Traffic moves unnaturally around corners and cars just stop as soon as they encounter an obstacle or slightly deviate off the road. When civilians panic, they just freeze and cower.

    - The crime system is a complete joke. There is no item ownership at all. If you see it, you can take it consequence free. If you do manage to anger the cops though, about 10 of them randomly spawn out of thin air and start shooting you. Luckily, all you have to do to get away is run/drive a block away, and they will completely forget your transgression.

    - The loot/gear system is the same terrible one from the Witcher 3. All weapons are leveled which means that your epic quality gun is gunning to be outclassed in a level or two by random world drops unless you spend very difficult to acquire materials to upgrade it. Speaking of random world drops, looting is very frustrating with weapons dropping underneath enemies bodies and rooms being littered with spread out loot rather than having a centralized "chest" with all the good stuff. The game could really use an auto loot system (i.e. just run near loot to pick it up) rather than having to individually scrounge every item.

    - Last but certainly not least, right now the game is a bit of a buggy mess. I find myself having to reload a save to resolve a bug every 1 to 1.5 hours of play. Major issues requiring reload are things like weapons suddenly not being able to be fired, UI elements becoming stuck, and quest objectives not completing. There are a plethora of more minor bugs/glitches as well like bad pop-in, NPCs T-posing (even during story cut-scenes), and enemies just standing still doing nothing in combat.

Overall, it feels like the game quality would be largely the same if the main and side quests were launched from a map (a la Mass Effect 1/2/3) rather than having the game be open world. That is really a shame given how breathtaking Night City is. That said, the narrative experience really delivers and if that is what you are after the game will be a treat once the bugs are sorted.

The bugs I experience with a good PC rig, are mainyl graphical and not game breaking, although I had some that needed a bit workaround. But I think those can be fixed, from the stupid loot (literally too much loot), to the AI that is unresponsive at best and through so many scrapped features. I still think it will need some polish, but as it stands, on the PC, I really like the game and the more I play it, I like it more. It was lukewarm at best at first glance, but it really needs time I guess.
That being said, the console launch is a disaster and huge stain on CDPR's reputation they need to face and more importantly, fix the damn game, so even on consoles, people can play it.
Solid 9/10 so far, will see further on.

edit: I finished the game. And then I replayed it. And then it clicked me. This game is mediocre at best. From the first playtrought I wasn't so sure about the replayability, then I replayed it. And it has none. There are no decisions that matters, simple as that. Going throught the apologies and with how much had been promised... The more I played the more it became evident that this game is just hot mess. A well marketed hot mess with plenty of things scrapped. Fix the game, add the features, otherwise it will die out. Just like Anthem did. 5/10 at best. That describes how mediocre the game is, if I played on console I cannot even pretend that I would have given more than 0, since what I read, it is near unplayable.

The dialogue is good. The characters feel genuine and endearing/threatening and intelligent (in the case of villains). But if you go into this game expecting to have choice across the board, you will be disappointed. I think it may be the nature of a fully voiced game, but you do not really get to craft your personality. Your choices in dialogue seem to boil down to two things: which person to side with (and consequently who do then piss off) and how many questions do you want to ask before you let the story continue. As for choices in gameplay, you have two: shoot deadly weapons and swing sharp swords, or shoot nonlethal weapons and swing blunt weapons. Stealth doesn't work well, and there are not really any options to act rationally and diplomatically. If like me you expected to make a slick talker who can get out of any jam with his wits, you will be disappointed. You are a gunner/slasher and that is what you do. If you don't invest in combat, it's going to be a heck of a slog. 10 bullets to the head to kill a man... anyway, the writing really saves this game from the above and other unmentioned issues i had. Just do your research and know what game you are getting into. If you want roleplay and stealth done better in a sci fi shooter, try the metro series. Bonus: they actually run decently.

I personally love games that allow the option to focus on stealth and coming up with alternate strategies. The core stealth mechanics of this game are practically non existent. If you want to play a game focused on Stealth, Hacking and cyber implants... play Dues Ex: Mankind Divided.

I also love FPS games and sometimes there is no greater satisfaction than going in guns blazing. The core gunplay mechanics are clunky and underwhelming. If you want to play an FPS "Action Adventure" play Far Cry or Fall Out.

I also love driving round game worlds and immersing myself in the lore and atmosphere of an open world RPG. Although, the game is now labelled as an Action Adventure it was marketed as an RPG the world is empty and entirely superficial. If you want to play a great RPG play, Skyrim, The Witcher, Assassins Creed or GTA.

Finally, I love the feeling of constantly earning better and more powerful loot that affects play style in a meaningful way. If you want to play a great looter shooter, play Borderlands instead.

This game takes aspects from many types of games but fails to deliver anything more than sub-par on any of them. I am keen to play the story all the way through to experience it, however I have no intention of returning to the game for the foreseeable future in the hope that it can changed into something remotely similar to the next gen game it could be.

In my opinion, wait for the Steam Summer or Winter Sales, as this game is nothing close to what a £50 AAA game should be.

Unacceptable release. CDPR has smelled the money and gone full corporate mode. RIP.
Edit: ramped up the score to 5/10. It is still not a good game and may never be one. But at least you can see CDPR is trying to clean up the mess a bit with updates and patches.

A massive letdown. Extremely buggy and under cooked in general. The city looks great but lacks soul when roaming the open world. The characters you meet are generally pretty well written with some interesting stories. Every other mechanic in the game is average at best, and bad to terrible at worst. It really is just a story game with some average fps and driving to tie it together.

First of all let me just say Night City looks absolutely beautiful! The side missions and the main story are wonderful to play through and certain aspects of the combat are really fun especially smart weapons that can bend projectile bullets and target enemies over walls, tech weapons that charge up and fire laser beams and quickhacking to devastate groups of enemies. But that's pretty much where the good stuff stops and the negative aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 starts showing it's disappointments and flaws.

1.) Terrible AI overall in the entire game especially from the cops

2.) No random encounters in the city (Not counting marked points of interest already on the map) I was expecting random gang shootings, raids on buildings from NCPD, random events happening just by driving around. So far ive played 60 hours and only witnessed one random shooting event that wasn't tied to a mission, it involved security guards and Militech shooting at each other which was cool but I was expecting more random events occurring frequently outside of missions.

3.) No interactions whatsoever with normal everyday NPC's (Besides shop owners) It's just one line sentences when you talk to people. Mission related NPC's have a **** ton more to say to you but when it comes to pedestrian's don't even bother because all they do is keep walking around like zombies. The only time they do something different is when you fire a gun and then they either just run away or cower in crouch mode forever. For Night City looking beautiful in terms of the environment it actually feels quite dead since nothing is happening outside of mission's.

4.) The police wanted system is terrible, you kill somebody and in a matter of 2 seconds and you are swarmed by like 10 cops and they shoot you to death out of nowhere. You can escape the cops and lose the stars but just by running away or driving down the road you can completely lose the cops which is VERY unrealistic.

5.) Very limited on character creation, I can change my junk size but I can't change if I want to be fat or small. Which I understand might have to do with keeping in terms of the main story and such but I just wish we were given more freedom on character creation.

6.) No way to customize cars that you own? Seriously? No way to buy your own property or have a garage? Seriously? No way for you to have a proper romance system? Seriously? (Witcher 3 sex scenes were better imo). No way to join factions, destroy factions or have more missions tied to the depths of certain factions? Seriously?

Overall I was VERY underwhelmed playing this game and that's saying it nicely, yes mission's tied to the friends you make along the way were very good and the main story was good but after that you're stuck with basic fetch me this, fetch me that quests. I was also getting random phone calls from people asking me to do a job for them and it felt very out of place because I had no idea who the hell these people were so it basically meant nothing to me. I swear like 10+ random people call me for jobs and im like ok cool but why do I care?

It felt like a huge portion of the systems and concepts was cut out due to development decisions and costs? I'm not sure but it DEFINITELY shows. I was expecting a lot more from the game that's been in development for so long from CDPR. I'm disappointed but I have been enjoying the game for what it is. 6/10 it would probably be lower due to the bugs and glitches but I didn't encounter many. The game as of right now is poorly optimized though across the board!

A buggy mess with a sprinkling of a story. I have had to restart 3 times in probably 4 hours of gameplay due to 3 different bugs. One of the biggest studios, biggest budget, 7 years in development and this is what they come out with. We shouldnt have to have a £1,500 PC to be able to play this. I play on PS5 and it still visually resembles an early PS4 gen game. The art style is its saving grace, without that its full of flat lifeless textures.

    Disappointment.

One of the most anticipated and hyped up games for a long time now.
Did it deliver you ask? Well... yes and no...

If you solely play this game for the story and combat aspect of this game, you will like it.
Story is great, you feel connected with the protagonist V since you make all the dialogue choices, making the main protagonist quite a bit more personal to yourself.

And the combat aspect is fun with a lot of different ways to mow down any enemy that you come across. Whether you want to go sneakily around your enemies and assassinate them with your silenced weapon or just make a lethal takedown, or if you wish to go berserk and mangle them with your mantis blades, you can do so as well.

But if you are here for anything other than that? I wouldn't really bother getting this game.

    - First point, character customisation. There are no place where you can change the way your character looks, except for the character creation screen. Why is this? No idea, but once you have set your character, you are stuck with it. No changing hair, tattoos or any of that sort.

    - Second point is animations. This is supposed to be an open world RPG, yet there are no animations for when you eat food or drink beverages. No animation for when you install cybernetics on your character.

And then we have the small things like the vending machines, where when you order a soda, I was expecting a soda can to pop out of the machine. What popped out instead? Some default object for food & beverages. This is not what I expect from a game that showed soda cans popping out of the vending machines in their demos.

Am I being nitpicky? Probably, but remember, the devil is in the details, and I'm not asking for something revolutionary, I'm simply asking for what was promised and shown in the demos.

    - Third point, world A.I. The A.I. in this game is just straight up stupid. You do the slightest thing, and they all panic, even accidentaly double tapping so you dodge will make them panic. And then the lack of dialogue the A.I. has is just boring. All in all, they are on the same level (and worse) than the A.I. you find in GTA V.

    [TL;DR]
Game is okay, but only buy it of you are in it for the story. Combat is good. The rest, not so good. If I were a random person who's kind of interested in this game, watch gameplay on youtube, or watch a streamer (e.g. do some research) before making your decision on whether you are going to purchase it or not.

To keep this short the game plays and feels like it should have been a linear story game, the focus of development clearly went mostly into the main quest line then they tacked on a bunch of really mediocre or straight up bad mechanics. The game does have highs the aesthetics are impressive, some characters and voice acting are very good, but sadly for me the lows out weigh the highs in a major way and its obvious this game was so rushed that MANY features have been stripped or left in an embarrassing state.

Here's a list of some of the things that were really noticeable and honestly unacceptable for a AAA open world game

    Shallow character customisation

    No vehicle mods

Probably the worst Police AI i've seen in the past 10 years

The open world pedestrian AI is equally bad, has no routines will despawn if you look away sometimes even when looking at them,at some points in the game I've had 3+ of the same npc spawn in the same 10m radius)

No editing or customising your character as the story progresses

Horrible stealth AI, enemies and cameras can sometimes at random detect you through walls. in one of the opening missions, my AI partner for the mission would
just not stealth with me instead he was running around and the Enemy AI just pretended not to see him, completely breaking immersion.

Scripted vehicle fights, you cant do damage to vehicles until they hit a certain threshold of progress through the fight, so you are just firing your pea shooter at them for no reason, until the game allows you to kill them.

The city feels lifeless and boring for an open world there's very little to do outside the main story and side missions, no mini games, the random encounters are repetitive or straight up bugged, saving "homeless" people from skavs but when i turned up there it was people in suits being held hostage, and they don't even thank you or react at all after you save them.

Nothing makes it feel alive its feels like a husk of a city that only serves to be a backdrop for the main questline, which brings me back to the point that this game would have been much better if it was linear.

Ultimately the game can be summed up in one word, Potential, it had the potential to be an amazing game, the setting and visuals are great but it was rushed and stripped of many core things that it needed to thrive, that truly is my real disappointment with cyberpunk 2077

But the difference in the frame rate is quite huge and will definitely impact the gameplay. Good thing tho, I never experienced any crashes during my play time. I tried to explore every streets and buildings that can be interacted with. I am extremely excited to pre order the game and when it worked in my PC, I played the game for 28 hours which made me finish only the prologue. I grind my way to Night City just to see all its glory and experience what is it like to live on a cyberpunk world. However, considering the amount of bugs and glitches that I have experienced, I then realized that this game is not really at its best right now. I understand that glitches can be fixed but what disappoints me most is the actual gameplay such as cops are instantly spawning beside the player, broken crime system and many more. Story wise, it doesn't really worth investing since the game narrative is kinda bland. It's kinda hard to connect to a protagonist in a 1st person perspective. I wanted to see V's reaction and facial expression instead of just choices I selected that he voiced out . If the game will have a compete make over within 5 - 6 months from now, I might still change my review but for now, the game is a disappointment. Expand

It has issues and lots of bugs, the game needed at the least another year more in development. I'm honestly shocked that it was released in the state it is, it's literally APB:Reloaded the MMO with light rpg features. I'm playing on high settings 1440p with no raytracing. Now to my main points.

Let me start by saying that modern hardware is essential to play this game, don't even bother if you're not on a newer PC with at least an ssd/nvme, 6 core cpu, and a 2060 base edition card/AMD equivalent or next gen console. This game is very poor in optimization, don't bother if you don't have the hardware.

Second, your character is fake you're literally just the guy/girl on the box, you will NEVER see your characters face again outside the menus. Character customization shouldn't be in this game they should have taken a Witcher approach with this one. However, I enjoy V his voice acting is good I just don't see the point in customization for this one.

Third, the combat is very difficult and rewarding. Stealth gameplay especially is very fun. The melee weapons are a bit clunky but still very fun. Melee combat is excellent. The hacking portion of the game is forgettable.

Fourth, the map itself is gorgeous and the areas are distinct. Each area has its own unique enemies/ gangs, clothes, vehicles and fixers to work with. It's very pretty but there isn't really anything going on in the world. There are VERY few "encounters", they are almost all marked on the map with a question mark so it's not like they're hidden. The most notable one I've had so far was a man with a robotic reproductive organ that had gone haywire who needed you to drive him to a doctor. There are some small encounters like hearing a repair man talking to a vending machine with an AI throughout the world. Past this there is absolutely nothing going on in the world besides radiant quests to go shoot up gang members.

Fifth, the quests for the most part are very enjoyable. The main story quests so far have been action packed but with almost no existent impactful choices. This is especially disappointing as Cyberpunk was marketed as an RPG (Think Fallout 4 but far worse). The side missions or "gigs" are enjoyable and take your across the map for various different things. They're fun and rewarding all around.

Sixth, romance and sex are almost no existent. There are 8 total romances in the game most of which are gander locked limiting you to 2-3 at most. There are only two prostitutes in the entire game counting towards this total of 8, this is very odd as there are brothels and strip clubs everywhere.

To end, its not a bad game but it really needed another year or two of development. Most of the hype and the features that were supposed to be there aren't. Otherwise it's still enjoyable just not what it was hyped up to be.

This could've been regarded as a masterpiece if it wasn't for the features that was cut out, less buggy, and an unoptimized mess. Blaming people for having an old-gen when it was advertised where it's aimed at. This was never a "next-gen" if it wasn't

This could've been regarded as a masterpiece if it wasn't for the features that was cut out, less buggy, and an unoptimized mess.

Blaming people for having an old-gen when it was advertised where it's aimed at. This was never a "next-gen" if it wasn't delayed and got released last April. No RTX 30 series cards, and no PS5, and Series X. The excuse would've been invalid but the amount of defending this game just because you are not experiencing bugs, glitches and running on high fps, then congrats on being part of the 10% who have high-end PC or just lucky.
The minimum specs for PC however, was GTX 780 or RX 470, but they never mentioned how many fps they were getting. Instead, you have to find out when it was released.

Now, I'm pointing out it's "missing" features, and "errors" or "flaws". If there is something that I have missed, then add it to your own list. This is also what I gathered from other people's opinions in which I agree with as I don't know how to put a review properly.

    Negatives:
    - There is a good bit amount of spelling errors on dialogues, signs, and on shards.
    - AI system as a whole is just disappointing (Enemies, Cops, Civilians, Cars), I thought it would be the same level as GTA V at least.
    - Gunplay is not that great, but I would say average, while it's somewhat a bit satisfying on my side still not good enough to carry on it's own.
    - Customization is lacking, they removed the car customization, no barbershop, and tattooist as people mentioned, and the character customization is just average as well. 2018's demo of their character customization is really good, it was easy to see because you can choose the color and not pick left or right and guess what color are they and not just that, there are other parts of it that they were proud to show.
    - Armor System, I really don't know why they decided to use the clothes as armor, I just thought maybe it would've been great if they put it on Cyberware as it actually makes sense because you replace your body with a better "system" or "mods".
    - RPG but instead was an action-adventure game, this is not a negative but I just think that this should be considered as false advertising.
    - No difference in 3 lifepaths, their difference only was the first 30 mins and only a few dialogue options and that's it. No replayability.
    - Open-world is dead, yeah sure, you get side activities if there is a robbing happening but that's it. No interactions at all. I'm not talking about getting into each and every building, but just the world itself.
    - Driving. Probably the most annoying handling on any cars i have ever seen in any game. The car's handling is so bad that it's hard to turn without over steering unless you drive 50mph. But if you drive 200 mp/h and you could see Jesus miles away before you turn. GTA V's handling on keyboard is miles better compared to this.

    Positive:
The game's story is great, it's carrying the game so hard but barely because of the missing features that were promised. The characters as well. if it wasn't for these, it would've been a disaster.
Johnny Silverhand - Keanu Reeves performance was great, I think his character fits very well to his voice because he's a stone-cold **** People may not agree with me here but I actually think he did a good job as Johnny Silverhand. There are some serious lines that I shouldn't laugh but because of his voice it makes me chuckle a bit.

Overall, I do like the game, however with these missing features and NPCs it's hard not to notice it, the optimization of this is not forgivable. If they should've just kept their mouth shut until a year before release and blaming people for being hyped (while I do not allow sending death threats) then there would be no high expectations, but instead, they promised us lies and deception and eventually bit them in the ass.

I hope they add those features eventually as it is possible, but right now it's not worth the 60$ and it's a goddamn mess.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I created a metacritic account just to be able to rate cyberpunk 2077....wow, this alone should be enough for a rating, if you look at the score i give them.
And it is shamefully bad, I've got 2 big gamebreaking bugs so far and numerous small ones, from graphical to sound and so on. And I'm only 4-5hhours in the game, completing just a few main quests.
Once you are eventually immersed in the game, it throws you outta there with it's bugs. Flowing Food etc., not to be able to pick things up, citicens are crouching in fear even hours after there was a reason for it....and so on
    E. g., I parked my car in front of the homebase and overrun someone, police came, I excaped and ran back. Got to the appartement, slept a night, walked down and everybody was still crouching and wobbeling in fear.
Another sample, the mission with your first big braindance in the apartement. Always when I got out of the braindance (the tutorial braindance and the apartement braindance), I see my car parked on the street in front of the club from above, with walking citicens and driving cars, but Judy, V and Eve are talking and the game goes on, as if I am seeing everything from the eys of V (as it should be). Even when the braindance is completely over and I am allowed to walk again...I can see V move on the radar and I am able to talk to Judy, but I still am only able to see my car on the street from above (instead of a first person view from V).
After 8 years? WOW, this is really , really bad.

And what everybody else is writting, is true too, the citicens are only zombies, they talk some **** yes, but thats it. No interaction, whatsoever.
And of course no interaction with the world, absolutely nothing, except vending machines...vending machines, they are all over the place and absolutely useless (I mean the ones for buying drinks etc.).

Another one? Sure, the driving is so, so bad, compared with the little details from the minimap, you always drive past a turn or crossing, when you are a little bit faster, because when you see, you have to take a left on the minimap, you are already over it...

It feels as if there was little to no testing and absolutely no time for removing so small and minor bugs, which everybody must have encountered, who played the game for testing.

I played Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2, for them I would give the witcher 3 a 9/10 and Red Dead Redemption 2 a 10/10, but this one here...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Yesterday, I finished the game. After I slept over it, I came to the decision, that I had to write a review. Maybe the developers even read it and think about it.

At first I want to point out the Pros about the game

    +Atmosphere
    +Awesome Side Quests
+Best Sound Design I can think of
    +Overall good performance on PC

    Then the negative

-No transmog system (You look like a Clown)
    -Crafting is irrelevant
    -Lifepath irrelevant
-No Charakter Customization possible after the Creator
    -Many many Bugs and Glitches
-unsatisfying endings of the main Quest

And now I want to talk a bit more about my biggest complain: The Ending of the Story
As you are on the rooftop with Johnny, you are pretty much on rails from that point on. You choose one of three Options/Endings. Only one of them didn't suck completely in the end, namely the Nomad ending.

Finally the game concludes in, V dies either way. The only question is here and now, with Johnny taking over Vs body, or in six frickin months if V goes back in his/her own body.

This part of every ending sucks and renders the whole story before, completely useless. Why is there no option whatsoever for V to live a normal live? Even if I V didn't let Johnny take over and block him entirely, V would die after six months. That's just stupid. Even more awful is the decision that there is no kind of a fusion ending, where Johnny and V form a new personality together. Or maybe an ending in which the destruction of Vs brain is halted and both can share Vs body equally.

I think both characters and also we, the players, deserved more of a happier ending.

Therefore I give the game a 6 out of 10. If the ending weren't as bad I would give it an 8, maybe even a 9.

The game is completely raw. I like the gameplay and story, but there is tons of bugs. Npc walking thru walls, making a T pose. Car physics can be much better. Optimization is horrible. Will put 10 when CD Project fix it.

Not at all I was expecting. I didn't mind the bugs so much although they are irritating. I realize that some games have a rough launch (think of Witcher 3) and Cyberpunk 2077 obviously falls into this category.

However, the thing that disappoints me in this game is not the bugs but the game design itself. There is the lack of all those open world features that the trailers led us to believe we were getting and which would have made this game immersive. If you've got the hardware to handle it, the city looks great, but you soon realize that it is mostly window dressing and there is very little that you can interact with outside any scripted quests. If you compare this aspect of the game with GTA 4 or GTA 5 for example, then the Rockstar games have far more interactive content. Another aspect of the game that is poor is player interaction with NPCs. For example, the relationship / romance feature is very limited and simple, offering nothing new. Everything feels so obviously pre-determined and tightly scripted. Character customization is not much more than a choice of few presets and the ability to change hair and eye color. Again, GTA 5 beats this by a wide margin. Same applies to weapons customization. Skills progression seems unnecessarily complicated and gives you so little advantage that it becomes quite meaningless.
My reaction to the first 10 hours or so of this game was that CDPR had pulled a 'No Man's Sky' on us. In other words, they failed to achieve their goals by a wide margin, but decided to mislead the public with fake trailers and false promises right up to the release date.

I think the greatest flaw of this game is that, if you just cut right to the side content, there won't be much there for you initially, which will turn off a lot of people, but as you get into Act II and beyond, more comes into play. The game hides too much at the beginning, giving you the wrong impression of the game, an otherwise amazing game it suffers because of it's linearity. I love the characters, the story, Takamura and Panam being my favorites, as well as Johnny Silverhand, who slowly becomes a love-able character, despite being an **** to you at first. This game is a solid RPG, even if it forks you into similar or even the same events, regardless of choices you make, but what is there is quite substantial. It's very hard to nail what makes a game an RPG, and despite this game's linearity, the choices you make still feel like they matter. There are a lot of negative things I have to say about this game as well. Cut content, no train, lacking character customization, bugs, voice gender lock, no they/them option at the very least, and while there are relationship and sexual encounters, they're few and far between, and some characters that were ripe for romance and sexual encounters (say like Takamura) are completely unavailable, despite the potential being there. Most of the game's buildings aren't really able to be explored. The game has issues with steady frame-rates even on the beefiest of PCs, let a lone mid range ones. And I see that it's a nightmare on console. All these things do take away from an otherwise GREAT action game with RPG elements, but do not completely destroy the experience. Now coming back to revise this review once more, I have to speak on the INSANE LACK of endgame content. Once you've finished your gigs and police scanner missions, the game is absolutely empty. All those dynamic encounters that they were talking about, and interactivity, just flat out wasn't there. The city becomes an empty shell of what could have been. This was an aspect that they really skimped out on, and I'd really expect actual endgame content from an open world sandbox rpg type game. Honestly disappointed, and all this game's negatives really do make this game a forgettable experience in the long run. The game is a fun time while it lasts, then you'll forget it. 7/10 Expand

After putting an absurd amount of time in this game. A game that I clearly enjoy. Considering I've now played through every side quest and have tried to squeeze every bit of lore, story, and gameplay that this game has to offer. I gotta update my score from an 8 to a 5.

The amount of bugs I experienced that would prevent me from progessing on any particular mission went from being a *quirky feature* to a maddening and dissapointing expectation.

Ui bugs, progression bugs, not-playing-the-game-the-way-the-developers-wanted-me-to bugs in a game thats supposed to be all about choices and giving the player as much agency as possible, audio bugs, physics bugs, AI bugs, rendering bugs, lighting bugs, etc.

    it's just dissapointing.

It's clear that a lot of work went into this game.
    It shows.
there's detail everywhere throughout the world.
it's obvious that a lot of love went into making the game and the world, characters, etc.

Which just makes everything else so goddamn frustrating.
The dissapearing cars on the road.
The dissapearing pedestrians on the sidewalks.
The damn cops spawing right behind you or right in front of you.
AI that runs into walls and stands still while you lob bullets into their faces also have laser hawk vision and can spot you or a downed body from across the map. Or when they somehow detect a body that you've hidden when; 1.- they haven't found a goddamn thing and 2- what's the point of throwing in a bunch of dumpsters to hide bodies in if the AI is just going to magically find them anyway?

The stealth can be fun. But it's rules are among the worst for a stealth game. It's not anywhere near as fleshed out as MGS, the Arkham games, PS2 Splinter cell games, dishonored, etc. It tries, but boy does it come short every single damn time.

There's an incredible game hidden under the mess.

I don't expect it to take all the ideas from the best RPGs of the last decade.
But it certaintly borrows a whole lot of ideas.
And the ones it lacks are the ones I had expected prior to launch.
I'm talking stuff like a faction system. A reputation system.
I mean- there is a rep system in the game.
But it ain't exactly fallout new vegas tier.

    idk.
    I'm just rambling here.
there's a lot I want to say about this game but 5k characters isn't enough
and trying to explain one point only leads me to a million other tangents related to how this game is simultaneously flaming-hot-garbage while also still being one of the best games I've played in recent memory.

The game it could be is AT LEAST an 8
but the game that it is currently is a 5, at best.

My opinion on this game is more nuanced than the idiots that are review bombing this because the game can't run on their obsolete-before-it-was-even-on-the-market-7-year-old-space-heater-cockroach-motel-console.

Again, this is a good game.
But it's also flaming hot garbage.

I could give a note 0, but that wouldn't be fair to the programmers - that's why I give as much as I gave. Nice alpha version - the beta version will be in a year's time, in two years' time there will be a GOTY edition, which may be a complete product only then. As far as bugs are concerned though, it is quite well polished; I've found nothing game-breaking or even slightly annoying in over 50 hours, so in that regard this was certainly a better experience than Skyrim and many other games.

The AI is really terrible for an open-world game, physics are bad and the player's interaction with the world and it's NPCs could've been much better. This has already been covered in most reviews so to speed things up, the immersive world that was promised to us just isn't there. Even the older GTA games had better pedestrians, drivers and interactions with main NPCs (being able to call them to hang out or date) than this. I was pretty disappointed when the storyline that involves one of the main character's lovers was over and there were simply zero interaction possibilities with her; she just became another random NPC.

I'd also point out that I don't like the combat, although that's more of a personal opinion. They took a RPG approach instead of delivering something more action-focused and realistic, meaning damage done/received sometimes won't make any sense (even headshots to enemies not using helmet may take 1/10 of their health) and you'll often stumble without any warning upon locations that look completely normal but have NPCs that are ridiculously stronger, taking virtually no damage and killing you in 1 or 2 shots.

Story-wise, the game is brilliant. Excellent acting, engaging and immersive story, Cyberpunk 2077 really shines on this aspect and can be a truly enjoyable experience if you're able ignore everything else. Overall though, I wish they hadn't rushed this game and took their time to deliver us a more polished experience.

With that said, and being around 24 hours in, I can say this game is a solid 6.5 out of 10.

Music: One of the best aspects for me but music is subjective so not much else to say here.

Graphics: Idk, running at 30 fps on a 1060 (3 gb version) with custom settings (mix of medium/low) so
    performance seems pretty bad.

Gameplay: Kinda fun if you play it for what it is, shoot em up loot em up. I'm personally doing quickhacks and actually enjoying it. With that said though it is just this versions games of spells, nothing really fancy here or deep so getting middle of the road score here too.

Story: Does this game even have a story? Everything is kinda jarring the way it happens, no spoilers but only thing I've liked story wise so far was end of act 1.

Overall: Only recommended if you are bored and just want to kill rando bad guys and get loot upgrades and explore a giant lifeless city. 6.5/10

The game is solid if you like looking at HD wallpapers and if you enjoy a good linear storyline with plenty of missions to do. However I score the game at overall 5/10 because the game was announced as something more, as a huge open world immersive game, instead we got half of the product and also with giant ammount of bugs, that no matter what specs you have they might happen, flying cars, stuck weapons, missions that bug out, etc, etc, you can check youtube the multiple bugs this game have. You can even shoot a trashbin with a shotgun and it just stays in place, I mean that is fine for a game but not what this game was supposed to bring in terms of enviroment interaction. You can play and enjoy the game as it is, for its story and missions, just dont expect character customization, open world and game immersion outside of that. Moreover, even the story is missing the interactivity, your choices don't really have much of an impact, lifepaths are forgetable, I mean they are nice gimmick only, actually if the game didnt have lifepaths it would feel almost exactly the same thing, and the story will also play almost the same. Again, you will have fun if you want a linear story where your choices don't matter much, like The Witcher 3. My main grip with it is that in The Witcher 3 we were following the path of Geralt, while on this game we were supposed to get to create our own story and follow multiple available paths. The factors, such as linear story and lack of open world make this game replayability very low and very much bellow what the game was promised to be. Overall, I recomment this game if you want to play a linear story in a beautiful world but even then I would wait for a discount as the game is not worth full price, with bonus that waiting might lead to the game having further patches and dlc that might improve it. If you want a game where you make your own story or open world immersion just stay away for this game. Expand

If you really wanted Keanu to play bigger role - you should have made Silverhand main protagonist like Geralt in W3. Story doesnt offer any roleplaying - every choice is meaningless, dialogue options are just illusions. The more you move towards the end of story -the more about Silverhand it is. Even the ending doesn't allow V to change outcome of having biochip, nor to betray everyone, nothing. It's all fixed.

I've noticed Alot of visual glitches.. Even had a character be in their T Pose! Facial expressions In the mirror of your apartment (And other mirrors around the game i do believe) DO NOT WORK ATALL. Which is Really disappointing for how far this game has been push back

The storyline, is quite hard to follow.. but that's probably just a personal problem as I'm not the best at focusing, and i am at least able to get a rough idea of what's happening.

It's a beautiful game, But you need the Computer to run it..

I have an 6700k with GTX 980, And i play on 1440p, 75% Scaling (Renders at 1080p) low settings, and i get 40fps... Which isn't ideal.. BUT ALOT better than How it runs on the PS4 for example.. and I feel bad for the players who are either stuck on ps4 as they can't find a ps5, or can't afford a new console right now... with Christmas coming up.

But as it's a next gen game, I'm not going to attack the performance too much.. but i also believe optimizations could of been done more efficiency

Cyberpunk 2077 Definitely give me Watch dogs vibes with the focus on hacking and Technology, but that was expected due to the High tech future that the game is set in.

I was VERY Disappointed with ALOT of the overhyped stuff, Especially the character expression.. I didn't care about the nudity.. and i do think that was pushed a bit too much.. but even then i was hoping that you'd be able to resize ur face and other body parts with a slider or drag controls, rather than 2-3 preset sizes..

My character Looks **** imo, and The character customization was Very limiting

I'm going to try and play through this game, but i have a feeling it might drone on..

TL;DR this game was overhyped, released buggy.. Looks amazing but playabillity is more about the game looking good

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Night City is visually impressive with its neon skyscrapers and swarming crowds of people. There are many places to explore but only a few ways to actually interact with its world. You can look at something that's intriguing, such as a campsite underneath a fallen Ferris wheel, but then you realize it is just a superficial exterior because there isn't anything to do there. The main quests and a few side quests provide some unique game mechanics that are short-lived and only exists for the purpose of their respective quests. For example, when you finish the main story and go back to former quest objectives like the military tank, you can't even get inside it anymore. Where's the fun in that?
Even on PC, I experience glitches all the time. People's heads clip through the roofs of cars. The audio suddenly cuts out during scenes when the NPC is still talking. NPCs T-pose for a split second. Objects float in the air when an enemy dies. The main character has fallen through the floor and gotten stuck inside walls. Two phone calls happen at the same time and break missions. Cars spawn in the air and fall to ground. Yes, these happened on the most current update (1.05).
This game has a problem with chronological sequencing. On a quest with River Ward, he starts to explain what "braindances" are. However, by that point in the game, the player has already analyzed multiple "braindances" before. It made no sense because the main character acted like it was his first time.
A very small percentage of your time playing will actually consist of action. I would bet 99% of Cyberpunk 2077 is talking, walking, driving, and character management. Only 1% of your playtime will be real action, and that is terrible for people with limited free time. There are a lot of quiet, peaceful moments during important quests that are great if you have time for role-playing but painfully boring if you don't.
A lot of the side content feels monotonous because you have to defeat a ton of "cyberpsychos" and small groups of enemies that just stand around waiting. If you are thinking of completing all of the achievements, all of the small enemy marks on your map must be finished. After 10 hours of grinding, you will start wondering why you are spending so much time to get 1 or 2 extra achievements.

Edit: The distinct characters bring some personality and life to a story that is difficult to fully understand because of convoluted politics and science fiction.

The amount of bugs really cant be over expressed, this game is a mess. Bethesda games have nothing on this not by a country mile. Not to mention I was even running the game at stable FPS which a lot of people havent managed especially on the console versions.

People like to complain about Bethesdas engine and while Fallout 4 was not a good game, at the end of the day, it worked as inteded even though the intention wasnt all that high quality.

Maybe they can patch this game later on, which honestly would put this game at 8 or 9, but as it stands its not worth 70e. And honestly, I don't think this game will ever function as intended. Sad really.

Really buggy. If you don't have a $2000 PC it will look really bad. The rest is nothing but a futuristic dystopian re-skinned GTA that forces you to play certain missions instead of letting you explore.

Everything was futile and felt like there was clear picture what is the right thing to do and what is not..and too much hand holding overall. This game relies on the player being interested in Johnny. If that doesn't happen then tough luck.. theres not much more to it. More personal story woulda been nice and offered more roleplay chances. The setting was cool though and city was amazing. Did make me miss that 3rd person view though Expand

Let's just dive straight into it.

The world of Cyberpunk is perhaps one of the best looking one's I've ever seen. Although it is not as "open" as I would like it to be it is still one hell of a masterpiece. The story itself also is a good point about this game, however I do wish that the missions would be more indepth. And thats when we come to the critism already actually.

This game was supposed to be an open world RPG, To me it feels less then an RPG then Outer Worlds, and way less open world then GTA. Which sucks because the world it self is beautifull and I wish there was a reason to stay longer.

Most of the characters in the game are very intresting, yet though the amount of "interaction" with all the other side characters feels barely enough. There is no real RPG in between the characters besides some text messages.

Choices you make are of little influence beside some choices which is a shame.

The AI is perhaps one of the most retarded things I've ever seen and needs a complete overhaul. This counts for police and citizens in Night City. Also it lacks alot of depth in just to many aspects to all write down here.

However I'm hopefull for this game (therefore the high rating) I believe that if this game will get some good major patches, lots of love and attention from CD Projekt Red, and more time... Alot of more time. This game can be one good single player game, and for the multiplayer... Man oh man am I curious.

    TL DR:
Good looking game, but it isnt what it was promoted to be nor really great. Good story however.

Now here is my summary of my experience so far, I have not 100% finished the game yet but I am about half way through and have watched gameplay of the rest as I was worried I wouldn't even finish the game I was getting so bored and tired of the combat. As of right now, I am still playing the game though and have about 27 hours played so far and I will expect at least 50 hours played by the end of my playthrough if I do all the side missions I plan on doing.

First up is the bugs, its the easiest and most obvious thing everyone is going to criticize. The game doesn't just have bugs, the game has so many glitches and problems that I don't even think 3 months of 60 gb patches will have it fixed still. Its that bad. Now it is totally playable on PC and I heard newer gen consoles play it fine as well, but it's still buggy like you wouldn't believe. I'm talking bushes X-raying through 15 buildings to sit in the middle of the person you're talking to's face the entire cutscene, people not loading in for about 10 seconds and looking like giant texture-less blobs until then, mouths not moving when anyone talks in major cutscenes, NPCs walking through objects and sending them flying at the speed of sound all over the room, you walking down a flight of stairs sending you jetting across the level like a speed runner in the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, enemies hacking you through walls infinitely damaging you even in cover, and more. Its not going to be an easy fix and will take them a year or two to work these bugs out assuming they even keep players long enough to see that day come. But this isn't enough to stop most people, heck, it didn't even stop me.

The gameplay: I didn't expect much going in, I knew it wasn't going to be Call of Duty smooth shooting or anything, but holy hell if it isn't some of the worst combat I've ever seen in a first person game. The melee weapons feel completely unusable as there is no real decent movement in your base character outside of a tiny little dash and your normal run speed. So using katanas and knives feels like garbage and has no power too it as it has zero feedback or movement with each swing so you feel like you're just flailing your arms like a kid who just got a VR headset. The gun gameplay I expected to hopefully at minimum match something like Destiny or Borderlands since they were very similar games in the same genre but they couldn't even get close to that. In the beginning you just fight into enemies that are massive bullet sponges until you get a couple missions in and start picking up decent weapons or just turn the difficulty down in frustration. The talent and perk system is super convoluted and is nothing but passives, but those passives are horribly required to do anything or have any fun at all with any weapons in the game. The base combat feels like garbage and the only chance you get to have fun with the weapons you might want to use is when you're 30 levels down into a tree and finally get an extra 30% movement speed or so to run at enemies faster with the katanas or when you get that headshot and crit chance bonuses to make pistols take enemies out faster. Additionally, all the weapons in the game have so much recoil and movement when shooting that aiming is totally impossible, you would think futuristic guns would have less recoil and not 18x more than anything you ever imagined possible. Its like shooting automatic elephant guns at the enemy and the aimer is bouncing all around them the entire time. Its just absolutely abysmal and I can't believe people who play tested it thought it was good enough for release. People even saw the early gameplay for it and said it looked bad yet they didn't change it and fanboy Witcher fan drones dismissed it as some 4d chess move that the combat would be fixed by launch. It wasn't and its terrible. My friend played the game for 10 minutes and refunded it because it was so bad. I don't blame them, it gets better, but by "better," I mean its just tolerable enough that I can stomach through it to complete the game.

I'm out of characters so I can't even go on about the hollow themepark this game is, it looks like an open world but its just a short themepark story w/ side missions and nothing to do outside those. The dialogue is great but the endings leave you wanting more.

The game is not any kind of innovative. It feels like playing an advanced version of Deus Ex.

There is 0 character customization after the initial creation window at the start of the game. No barbers, tattoo parlors, transmog system, body enhancements (besides cyberware). Stuff that has been in open world games for more than a decade.

Graphics are great when you don't see huge FPS drops randomly.

The story seems interesting thus far (about 10 hours in) but they rush you passed your first months in Night City, only giving you a spare cut scene to show how your character established themselves. From a game that is supposed to be an RPG, seems a little silly.

With another year or two of development, this could be a masterpiece. At current, its just a bunch of false promises, bugs and not up to par with the gold standard of open world games GTA V. Some of the RPG systems seem solid but most others are severely lacking.

    Wait for the GOTY edition.

    - Yet, only two missions were quite entertaining and had a really good story and ideas. The main story arc is pleasant and works well, but the majority of story goes to side missions whose are, sadly, really bad.
    - Driving through various weather and day cycles in the dystopian city is really enjoyable, but from that point, it seems like a showcase game.
    - Character creation is good and both bad at the same time. There is a huge amount of unnecessary things, but while you can't have purple hair or a smaller tattoo, for example, because all of it is taken to the extreme. But hey, you can edit your genitals, even though you won't be able to see it, so that's cool... right?
    - Huge attribute and skill tree with a lot of different actions to unlock.

    Cons:
    - The story differs for each faction only for the first 30 minutes of intro, then it gets exactly the same for all the factions.
    - Horrible AI for all NPCs. Their responses to your actions are honestly worse than in GTA San Andreas (they don't even drive away when you point a gun at them, just casually continue what they've been doing, which is the smallest problem - the police NPCs in missions gets stuck in a loop or their behaviour resets and keeps acting like you didn't help them and starts shooting at you.)
    - After a while, the basic gameplay gets really boring, most of the missions turns into the repeatable task of ''kill this and talk to this'' and so the city full of zombie NPCs loses its glorious shine.
    - Stealth gameplay doesn't work that well not only due the NPCs, so you mostly end up just rushing in the room with weapons ready, which is kinda disappointing.

Conclusion: The thing that got us hyped was all about the 30-minute intros. After that, it's not worth playing for now, at least in my opinion. Will wait for updates and give it another try in a month or so.

    -Firstperson

-No great cinematic scenes like in the Witcher 3.

-Why don't you let us play the Ascension? I don't care about Jackie, he just didn't interest me because you only played 2-3 missions with him. The rest is a dull flashback

-The loot system is a disaster, it's not fun to collect anything at all.

-And to be honest, reading is annoying at some point, why didn't they have the texts set to voices ? At some point I didn't read anything at all and found it annoying in the long run.

-I find the texts too small to read on the TV.

-The world is just a backdrop - you can't do anything great.

-The side quests were not all good.

-Bugs, glitches -The inhabitants are stupid and only do the same things.

+Story was good, but too short and rushed.

    +Humour

    +Music

    +The German voices is great

I also don't understand how you can be attached to Jackie if you can't even play the Ascension? But to be fobbed off with a boring flashback, I don't get it! That's why I just didn't care for him after that.

Not even the bug-fixing saves the game. Everything seems rushed and lifeless. The story is far too short and rushed.

The life paths are uninteresting and don't matter, there are hardly any decisions.

I'm sorry to say that The Witcher 3 is still my favourite game of all time.

Cyperpunk 2077 needs an improved version in my opinion. Too bad about the wasted potential.

When you compere this game to something came in 2012 like Far Cry 3 or BO2 and Watch Dogs 2 from 2016 it is obvious that this game is poor in terms of content and quality. I am not gonna compare this game to any RPG because this isnt a RPG and I am not gonna compare this game to GTA because it is obvious that even GTA 3 does things a lot better than CP2077
BO2 has more choices that effect the game. BO2 had better level design with more variety in terms of how you approach a level or even simple things like using drones or flying jets(I know those were scripted but they changed the paste a lot) CP2077 has none of this. What CP2077 has is underdeveloped gameplay mechanics such as stealth and hacking and only few choices that effect the game all of it before the end game btw and level design that is worst than any other modern FPS game out there.
Far Cry 3's open world made a lot more sense because you develop with open world without hunting, crafting you cant develop Jason's arsenal or his skill tree. Now what night city has some vendors and joytoys other than that open world is only for going one mission to another. You can get good loot from main mission if you are lucky you can get cyberware so what is the point of night city it is like a picture looks great but you cant interact with it . Btw Far Cry 3 had better skill point system because it gave you actual skills not like CP2077's GREAT %3 upgrade to my handgun damage.
Watch Dogs 2 has a lot better npc AI and wanted system and overall better open world. At this point you should know that CP2077 has a terriable open world implementations. It ıs just bad
In terms of story you my like it but it is nothing special and forgetable because it has plot holes as big as a meteor crater and doesn't even make sense.
This game makes some good things like art style, romance and has likable characters but when you consider those lies and that thick budget they are expected it is like paying a worker a huge paycheck and then praising him after he does his job.

If people except this game as it is CDRP will turn into next Bethesda or EA.

It's an action game with very linear quests that you don't actually have multiple ways of completing. Dialog choices might lead to different outcomes in some cut scenes sometimes, but the actual meat of the quests are just linear maps that you either half assed sneak through past dumb af NPC's, or just blast through the same area.

The game looks pretty most of the time. It's like playing GTA mixed with Fallout, which is fine, it's fun.. But it's not the Cyberpunk 2077 we were promised whatsoever.

Presumably because the massive cut of normal ROG elements such as significant character customization and modification in game(not just at the start). Additionally there are many questionable control and interface designs which make the game frustratingly hard and overly complicated to navigate and understand. Ultimately this game while full of visible potential falls flat and fails to deliver what was originally marketed. Furthermore on last gen consoles it is virtually unplayable. CDPR should have delayed this for another year at least for optimization, debugging and fleshing out the features. Really disappointed and hoping for them to turn this around, like what happened with No Man's Sky. Only time will tell, but it's a real shame for such a lost opportunity and a real dark mark for CDPR...

I played this on Stadia and it ran well. I didn't notice any catastrophic glitches, nothing that effected gameplay at least. It's feels like a mash-up between GTA, fallout and borderlands. Visually it looks great and if you're a fallout fan then I think you'd enjoy this game. For me though, it just wasn't my cup of tea and I was pretty bored of the dialogue and pace of the gameplay. Expand

I give 5 because 6 would have been a game not perfect but good enough to spend time with if I'm passionate about the genre.

I think that all the fuzz about the bugs are kinda missing the point. This game has no heart and is just bad writing. No characters to love, no reasons to chat with an NPC. Everything is cute and shallow. Even the estetic choices you can make are not enough in a game

    Everything is cute and shallow.
Even the estetic choices you can make are not enough in a game where nothing is worth of attention, and we already had games with far better character customization (even Xenoblade Chronicles x for Wii U has a better character custom).

    Talking about technical stuff
    The AI is just terrible
Spawning police as you move the camera is something terrible. Just because CDPR didn't know how to make the AI reach that point in the map.
Even the way that V sleep in his bed is... Just silly.
All that creates "suspension of disbelief", and actually breaks the game in his roots.

In the end I get that Cyberpunk is about cyborgs. But gamers are still humans.

Слава Одину я взял игру на ПК а не на ПС4 FAT версии! Ждем тысячу и один мод от талантливых моддеров, которые допилят игру до ума, как скайрим. Expand

After silverhand appears the storyline starts to look like a cyberpunk fanfiction fantasy of a 12 years old girl.

What a mess. I love CD Project Red and Witcher 3, it's one of the greatest experiences of my life and I was sure this was going to be as great. Sadly this has uninteresting characters, a boring and messy story, chaotic city, pretty poor combat mechanics, no car customization and very little content outside the city as many hoped for. The dialogue is like a used diaper, main character taking jabs at everyone, getting annoyed or annoying others, trying sarcasm humor which hurts the soul to listen to. I like Keanu but the way they put him in the game is bad. And no one should ever again put "mental breakdowns" in games and try to make us experience it, they tried it in the newest metal gear solid in the hospital, in some of the newer Far Cry games, walking around dazed, throwing up etc. It's not interesting, it's just annoying and make it a cinematic rather than make us sick by playing it, boring as hell. The graphics can be nice but even my power house of a machine can't run it very well, though better than I feared. I think if they used 2-3 more years on this it might have been something worthwhile, but there is absolutely no magic, nothing that grabs you other than the very intro to this world. It's incredibly similiar to Sleeping Dogs graphics and mechanics, mixed with the dark mysteries of Death stranding, which to most is not positive. This game sounded like a paradise, like GTA 5 on steroids, but it's GTA 5 with the sideeffects of steroids, can't recommend. Expand

Unfinished and cluncky. The city feels lifeless, the NPCs a joke... And i don't like the 100% first person without cutscenes. Witcher 3 did this so much better.

There is no customization, there is no interaction, there is no minimum layer of depth in how you interact with the city, which should be the protagonist of any open world game.Another problem is the AI, which is mediocre at best, and non-existent at most.To that we must add the dozens of promises that never appear in the game.Even as an RPG the game makes outdated decisions in its design, which is a contradiction to what it's trying to tell.In the end we have a game that graphically looks like the future, but plays like something from 15 years ago. It's a mediocre game, and not even removing all the bugs will solve that. The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
