The perk system is cool and this is where it becomes apparent that the game is truly TRYING to be an RPG, one of it's upsides for sure. In fact certain mechanics are locked behind these perks which is a good idea for the purposes of really making you choose your play style.

Level-gating is kinda ehhhh, I don't mind skill checks if they serve a purpose however bullet sponge enemies are not so in for good reason. It does somewhat make sense in the context of cyberpunks with reinforced skin/armor etc. But yeah this needs a revisit.
Crafting system and loot system is kinda your typical looter shooter, keep stuff, throw it away once you get something better, maybe utilize the pretty generic crafting system. This isn't a huge problem so to speak but doesn't evolve much beyond what we have seen before on a pretty basic loot/craft system mechanic.

The traffic and pedestrians in this game is just embarrassing. Vehicles and people will change literally if if you do a 180 spin. People and vehicles spawn in often right within eyesight. They have some weird fake draw distance thing going on where you'll often see cars in the distance but not in front of you. This is especially cringe when you are in the badlands.

Not much in the way of tutorials which I don't personally mind but some people might initially be a little confused on their first steps outside of the main plot/story.
Ahhh yeah the branching story line? A joke, things coalesce pretty quickly. Not say it's not a good story, just not what was promised. The corpo role specifically is a bit of a joke since you don't actually do much for corpos, introducing V as former corpo for that role could hand-wave that I suppose. I fully went into this hoping I'd be able to do some shady **** but I kinda realized something was up closer to launch when it was apparent your story was closely connected to the same characters, of which many are interesting and well written.

The voice acting is top notch. There are however A LOT of improper audio cues that can take you the hell out of it pretty quick, while the story is great and all I literally can't go 5 damn minutes without seeing glitches, clipping, or some immersion breaking nonsense.

The gun-play is fun and the guns themselves feel proper and powerful. You can meta around a bit if you feel so inclined, but unless you turn the difficulty up you'll probably mow through stuff anyways

I also took notice on the menu/ui for crafting that the bottom middle circuit part that corresponds with skills normally greys when you hover over it. Not a huge deal but this is one of the things that make you go, why? What is this? Placeholder for something else (you shouldn't put these front and center if it is the case)? A skill that didn't get worked into the game? Something broken? Cut content (most likely)?

The graphics performance is just atrocious compared to some of the stuff I've played recently. Pop in, cars that transform when you do a 360, hell sometimes they'll change right before your eyes. Often times you can see the spawn in points for pedestrians and cars. It looks really really bad. Compared that to say RD2 you look off into the distance and see something, chances are it'll still be there when you arrive.

What are some good things? Well the game does look good when turned up and I envy people who are people to play this with RTX. The story is solid and character building is what you would expect of CDPR. The soundtrack is also an absolute banger so huge props on that.

It doesn't take anymore than a simple google search to see that CDPR is on record, and not through some word of mouf bs, I'm talking literally video interviews etc. discussing mechanics and such that would in the game. There is an abundant record of evidence that CD did not deliver with their promises on this game. It also clear they lied about the state of last gen, which will naturally hold up progress on addressing the above issues and yes for us PC players too. In addition to this, while you can generally actually play the game, your experience will be riddled with bugs, glitches, performance issues and problems that will effect your experience. Bold statement but this is easily top 5 botched launches this decade. If you told me this was the same devs as the Witcher 3 I would've declared you a damned liar.

    TLDR;
good story, world, soundtrack, graphics, nailing the basics, big reductions for failure to implement promised features, non stop bugs, poor performance, and an extremely deceitful marketing campaign

There is some good here. The game is pretty. Combat is fun to a point. The story and character are good.

180 hrs into the game and there is little left to do. Do not mistake this for an Open World RPG. This is a very large and pretty world that keeps you on rails throughout the story and side missions. There is no way or reason to "live" in Night City as it is not a living world.

Very disappointed in every aspect presented in this title. Don't buy for a long while if at all.

This is a one and done.

The game is half-baked, that's for sure. But even after all the patches and fixes I'm not sure it will be any better that 7-8 of 10.

Cool idea but it’s empty, ugly and full of bugs and plays like sluggish garbage. I cannot believe it’s taken them 7 years to release this crap beta. They have a lot of work to do to fix the game and regain people’s trust. CDPR were supposed to be the saviours of the gaming industry but right now they’ve let everyone down including themselves. Don’t buy.

There are simply more enjoyable single player experiences with more replayability at this price point. There was a ton of hype surrounding this game considering how good the Witcher 3 was but this was a big letdown by CDPR. I saw all the endings and then never looked at it again because of how shallow the content is.

To start this review, I want to point out that I am an avid RPG love, meaning that I can overlook only serviceable graphics/mechanics if the game is able to draw me in with its story or world.

I gave the game a 6, but it can potentially go up to an 8 if the bugs are sorted out. For reference, besides numerous non-game-breaking bugs (textures not showing, objects floating above ground, T-poses, etc) I also had 6 crashes, from which two resulted in blue-screen with save file corruption.

Besides all the bugs, I feel the addition of GTA style gameplay does not bode well with an RPG. It results in annoying situations that break the gameplay flow. For example, while driving towards a mission, you will sometime hit civilians; this results in the police placing a bounty on your head, officers spawning out of mid air; at that point you would have to hide for a while for the officers off your trail so you can start the story mission. While this does not bother me in GTA, in Cyberpunk is extremely annoying as here I am expecting to be able to roleplay my character without this type of interruptions.

The story is very engaging and does a good job using cyberpunk themes, but at the same time it feels overly-linear without many opportunities for the player to influence it. I do know that all games offer only the illusion of choice, but for me other games do a better job at this than Cyberpunk.

Although we are now creating our own character, this is purely visual, don't expect to get a blank slate like in Elder Scrolls series. V has its own personality and comes with its backstory in which you do not have much input even during dialogue choices - if someone asks you if you used a tech before, you don't get options to confirm or deny it, V will respond automatically to this. This did not influence my score, but I think is relevant for the review.
What is disappointing are the life paths. At the start of the game you can select your origin, but the related missions only last for about 15-20 minutes and afterwards it is barely acknowledged during the rest of the game.

Secondary missions are split into "side jobs" and "gigs". While the side jobs are fun, similar in style to Witcher 3's secondary missions, gigs are boring, you gain them just by going to a place on the map and are completed automatically (via a phone call).

The combat is fun and there are many ways to advance your character. Some are level/xp dependent - attributes and skills, but some depend more on the amount of money you have (implants). One small criticism I have of the progression is that most perks are boring "X% increase in damage if using a rifle" type. One thing I like, is that you do not gain perk points only at level up, but also via performing certain actions - using shotguns will give points for shotgun/LMG tree.

To summarize, I think once the bugs will get sorted out, this will be a good FPS game with solid story missions with GTA style open world gameplay in between. But, going in expecting a good RPG there is potential for disappointment and overall I think is a step down when compared to the Witcher series.

Everything that seems great is an illusion.

A very well done one, though, 'cause it took me quite a while to realise that the path I was following in the game was in fact the only path available. Every choice I made had no consequences, except for the ending in the very last mission...

In General, according to the facts. From the pros, the game has a beautiful world! Yes, the atmosphere is just great! The Director's work in the story missions is also well done. Just watch an expensive and beautiful movie.
Of the minuses, the ending of the plot was unpleasantly surprised (this is a subjective opinion). RPG game can not be called. Almost complete absence of non-linearity and variability. In fact, the game turned into a first-person shooter. The open world is not alive, but what is there, it is just terrible. The game is terribly short (which is very bad for an AAA scale). Towards the end of the game, the plot is too chaotic.
According to the result. At the moment, this is an extremely raw product. Yes, most likely the game will be finished and brought to mind, but at the moment it is 6 points out of 10.

First of all I am EXTREMELY disappointed, the game doesn't introduce us to even smidgeon of what it was supposed to. The AI is atrocious civilians in the city act like zombies they either all cower, or runaway when you use weapon, police just spawns on top of you. Forget police chasing you or anything like that they are too stupid to climb after you on the ladder if you run from them to the roof... So in that aspect i'm extremely disappointed... There's no replay value in it to me... because i'm not going to waste time through everything i have already seen... Even when Johnny Silverhand appears during the quest trying to push you to take one way over another, none of those choices change anything in the game. But in general in it's linear main story, it's a decent game, it has a decent characters and decent story... I'm not going to talk about the bugs... so in general is below average for me... it will entertain you for a little... To me a huge disappointment, considering how much of a CDPR fanboy i was... First of all, I did not follow the hype train for this game. I learned not to trust any hype after the disaster called Fable (for Xbox). Instead I tried to avoid all videos and articles and my expectations were kinda mediocre when the game released.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an alright game, it does not deserve the bottom scores many users give it, nor does it deserve the 9/10 and 10/10 several delusional professional game reviewers gave it.

CDPR knows how to create interesting characters and a story that draws you into it. But they apparently lack the ability to create good gameplay. The driving sucks, the gunplay is barely sufficient, the game world feels so very limited and repetative.
You can barely enter any of the buildings and stores you see on the streets, the AI is outright terrible and it seems like 2/3 of the content in the game is missing. The game world wasn't the least bit immersive and there are so few things to do in the game if you arent doing quests or story missions.

I did not have as many bugs as the majority seems to experience. The playthrough for me was kindof smooth. Sure there were some wierd animations, and I got launched 200m from a window once, an enemy guard stuck in an elevator and so on but nothing serious.
Performance wise the game played alright after I applied an unofficial CPU patch for the game (3060Ti & Ryzen 3600). I followed Digital Foundrys performance guide to set the game up with a tweak or two. The game looks really nice with very detailed characters. Not the best looking game I've seen but still beautiul graphics.

I completed the main story along with a handful of side missions in around 45 hours of game time. And I have to say i enjoyed most of those hours even if I had a constant feel that this game could've been so much more. Would I recommend it? If you like a story heavy game with Cyberpunk setting, then yes. But for the best experience I also recommend that you wait a year or two to see if CDPR can fix some of the games shortcomings.
I feel that the 40€ I spent on the game (on Epic Games Store) was reasonable for the entertainment it provided me.

This game is somewhere between a 6 and a 7 for me. Fallout 4 (7/10 imo) was a better game, but still kinda mediocre in my opinion so I cant give Cyberpunk more than a 6/10.

As a footnote I have to say that I really dislike CDPR for lying to and deceiving so many players around the world. They knew the game was in a bad shape but still pushed it out way too soon. This is nowhere near the "most immersive game ever" or any other lies they have told us. I tried my best not to let this affect my honest score and how I feel about the game itself. But I really hope they get punished for their fraudulent behaviour.

A perfect score game? Never. This is an average game, with several huge problems that hinder playing. I was never in the hype about this game, but I was even enjoying it, even at 1.04 the game has so many problems that I gave up playing. It requires a computer too powerful to take advantage of the graphics, failure to maintain interest. Unfortunately, the worst surprise of 2020.

I detest review bombing but if I am going to be honest it does have issues:
    - Abysmal framerates on older PC's evenn at lower detail settings.
    - The AI pathfinding of pedestrians, NPC's and motor vehicles is very poor and needs to be improved a lot.
    - The UI is very cluttered and non-intuitive.
    - The inventory system is overly complex and unwieldy.
    - The keybinds are all over the place. On one menu I press ESC to exit. On another menu I press F or C to exit. Scrolling sometimes uses the WASD keys and other times it uses the arrow keys. None of it is logical or consistent. One of the worst examples is the hacking interface keybinds.
    - The skill tree is very large and confusing. I've basically got to read through every single item to see what is most useful with the skill point I want to spend. The attribute tree is also confusing. To me red colour means you can't add a skill point but in this game you can and then it turns green once you have added it. There needs to be a clearer indicator of this.
    - The city needs fleshing out with more activities to do. Doors are marked "locked" but you cannot enter them. I can't buy noodles at noodle stores. There are no minigames.
    - The "braindance" activity was heavily promoted in gameplay videos and yet the final product does not even allow us to use braindancing outside of main quests. I am very disappointed with this ommission. There is even a shop that sells BD chips but no way to use them.

CDPR has a lot of work to do to improve the game. It is obvious due to time constraints and engine limitations they cut a lot from the game release. Let's hope over time they can add a lot of missing functionality back into the game. As it stands Cyberpunk 2077 is a solid 7/10 for me. I am enjoying it but it needs more work from the developer to make it a 9 or 10 out of 10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Unfortunately this game is not what it was claiming to be as although it is open world, that seems like afterthought in this game. Zero interaction, ai of npc much worse than in gta iv, driving that has no feeling... As soon as you try to step out of story and wonder around whole world seems so empty and without any reaction to your presence, without ai, possible discussion or even reaction to your presence. This leads to big issue, once main story is finished there is nothing to be done as emptiness of world is preventing any wish to explore it as there is nothing to explore. Point a gun at driver, he doesn’t care, steal cop car, they don’t care, do something wrong police is magically appearing as no chase there... Whoever expected gtav in future will be sooo disappointed. But for single player story driven experience expect same as 5 year old witcher 3 experience - do your story and forget about open world.

Technical issues are not worth mentioning as I expect them to be covered in upcoming patches, but game mechanics will remain the same and it is really underwhelming after all videos - what you can do in cyberpunk. Actually nothing that is not scripted as part of story,

The main story is the only reason this game doesn't completely fail so its got 1 thing going for it, not worth full price tho in the slightest - wait for a massive discount even on PC.

Regusto amargo.

But that's about all I can say about the world. There's no charm to leaving no stone unturned, there's really nothing here but bandit camps and a main story that feels over just as it's begun, with characters that are practically strangers, even Silverhand.

This is hardly an RPG at all, in the storytelling sense; it's an action romp with a retro-future sci-fi setting. And that's *extremely* disappointing after Witcher 3.

I never followed the game development, but I can see numerous features that seem to have been left out or half done (netrunning, underwater interactions, stealth, huge swaths of land empty etc). Similar open world games that are several years old provide more world depth than CP77 currently does.
The bug are numerous and in many cases can be game breaking should you progress wrongly.
I hope CDPR can bring the game up to scratch, but the patches seem to be leaving more questions than answers at present. But for the €20 I paid, I can't complain compared to those who waited 8 years and paid €40+

    1. vehicles are almost un-drivable with mouse and keyboard (especially motorcycles). The vehicle handling was tuned with analog input in mind. Using the keyboard will have you tapping keys quickly to do micro adjustments. Anything else will send you spinning out of control.

    2. A LOT of content was cut from this game. Just to name a few things: wall running, crowds, one night stands. There is a massive reddit thread with a more comprehensive list.

    3. Your origin choice effects the first 20 min of the game and some dialogue choices. Very disappointing.

Honestly, if they fixed the horrible vehicle handling with keyboards id bring my review up to an 8. Hopefully they add back a lot of the cut content in DLCs/patches. That would bump my review up to an 8.5-9.5

But for now, what we have is a 7.0 Nothing fantastic, but its not nearly as bad as everyone is saying (at least not on PC).

    The Bad: The Game.

    Let me explain.

On PC the performance is OK but the technical state this game is in in terms of bugs really is breathtaking - but not in a good way. It is crashing constantly, animation hiccups and t-poses everywhere, clipping issues, quests which cannot be closed before reload, npcs and cars spawning/despawning in front of your eyes and the absolute horrible pathing, etc. The more you play the worse it's getting. If these problems are solved and a ton of quality of life improvements are in place (seriously, there is no dedicated dodge or walk key and specific keybinds cannot be remapped from the menu at ALL) this is a solid 7/10 for me - hell, if everything is working and I'm cruising down the road with my motorcycle with cranked up pacific dreams radio it feels (!) like a 10/10 at times. However this is not thanks to the core gameplay but the great art direction, the sights of the open-world and the promise and wonder the world is radiating affecting my judgement. I'm hopeful for what the game can be in 2 to 3 Years from now with the bugs all fixed, the dlc content released and everything running properly, but I cannot recommend you to play it today. If you can wait, wait. I really wish I could have.

Unfortunately the technical inadequacies are not the biggest problem the game is facing - it is the promise which the players have been given the game to be and therefore the game itself. I've loved this game the first almost bug-free few hours on my first playthrough for all that was (supposed to be) awaiting me in this world. But make no mistake, Cyberpunk 2077 is no RPG. CDPR didn't remove this from their PR material by chance. The developers (not just the marketing team or management) promised an immersive open-world with deep customization in terms of looks as well as character development in a gameplay and story sense. They have promised a fully-fledged RPG. A level system and a few skill trees with no real impact on how you play the game, perks just changing percentages of damage, crit, movement and reload speeds and a few branching quests are not that.

To say this is a RPG, let alone a fully-fledged one, is a flat out lie. With cops spawning behind your back, no driving AI (or any AI at this point) for npcs, no customizable body shape (the character creator is basic af) or shops for getting haircuts and/or tattoos, no eating animations / ripperdoc animations / cyberspace / braindance outside of story scenes, lifepaths or choices not affecting V's character at ALL, bad crafting and item economy, balancing issues, boring unimaginative bossfights ... I could go on. For hours.

The notion to get the game released this year, whatever it takes, is only part of why this game is in the state it is in. One could get teary eyed over watching the 2018 trailer promising so much. A few years from now with more content and patches this could be a good game. But there is something even all the bugfixes in the world cannot patch away: that we were lied to and there are decade-old games out there doing better (yes, I'm looking at you Rockstar). This is an overpromised mess, the likes of which I've only experienced thrice in the last decade of video games. With No Man's Sky, Fallout 76 and Anthem. Make of that what you will.

With a high end gaming PC easily capable of 120fps at 1080p ultra in almost every game currently out Cyberpunk 2077 struggles to reach above 60fps and frame drops sometimes below 30fps are common. During the MAIN mission bugs and glitches are common and in side missions bugs and glitches are laughably common. In 20 hours of gameplay I've kept track and had 4 full black screens with restarts, 3 engine crashes that required the game to be force closed, and numerous situations with weird red artifacting across every surface in the game (Usually appearing during cutscenes and immediately afterwards). Many of the black screens with restarts could most likely be attributed to AMD driver issues, but I've only experienced them with this game. I've read complaints that the AI is bugged, and while I've only seen this be noticeable this a handful of times, sometimes when you accidently shoot or are in a mission the NPCs on the street will flee and disappear for a couple of minutes, sometimes resulting in when you turn around a full street being completely empty.

Now. While the game is a visual masterpiece, the story is uhm... Well, ok? Its not fantastic. It seems as though the option that you pick at the beginning does not at all matter and you'll be thrown into a streetkid story line regardless. The Corpo starting line is interesting, but it ends up in the same story line in the same apartment complex regardless. Very disappointed in that as I was expecting maybe you lived in a different area/apartment block or got a different side character. Only one real fork in the story for the most part, and side-missions are largely straightforward. The endings that you get are also decided from a single ending mission point so you can get every ending in about 20 hours or so, and once you get to one ending the game automatically creates a save right before that mission so you can go back and get them all. Its not a great system, and means that the promises that the choices you make in the game matter were largely false. As far as I can tell they don't matter a whole lot except for the choice you make in that final mission. It makes the game feel far more empty than was promised.

I've completed a lot of the side missions as well, and while they are fun in some cases and can lead to some interesting rabbit-holes, there's an equal amount that are slash and grab missions that don't lead really anywhere. Eddies are rather hard to come by as well, you CONSTANTLY get notifications about new cars, or new upgrades from RipperDocs, but actually scraping together the eddies to get anything feels a lot like a grind for a mercenary doing business for some of the biggest name people in Night City. For example the car on the cover costs about 70,000 eddies, which would be roughly all of the main mission cash, and roughly 4 of the highest paying side missions. Prices for Cyber-mods are sometimes laughably expensive as well with high priced single mods going for 40-50k and sometimes even $100k eddies in game. It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense given that by my rough math there's only about $170-180k you can get from completing literally every mission in the game. It makes even less sense when you consider that you meet someone that has had their entire body cyber-moded in one of the side missions, something I was very excited about doing until I found out it was largely impossible with how the currency system currently works. Guns, Melee weapons, and clothing are all the same story as well. Its made even more broken when in some cases you get a legendary weapon that you can sell for $4k and then it goes into the store for $65k and is essentially lost forever (Not an exaggeration).

TLDR: Fun, beautiful, but broken in more than just a software perspective. Story has choices that don't seem to matter at all, and the currency system is outrageously rigged out of your favor. Bugs and glitches are common along with crashes. The game is not entirely broken in its current state, but I'd wait to do a full playthrough until either a large update is released in a couple of months, or some of the above issues can be fixed. It's enjoyable, but intensely frustrating until then.

Ok, i have just finished CB 2077 and... well, it was fun. But even if the game was "fun", it doesn't mean it was the best i have ever played or that there weren't any problems with it. I finished CB in 53 hours and by "finished" i mean i did everything in the game. I completed every side quest, every open-world quest, i've been everywhere on the map etc. My build was almost only melee so i cannot speak about gunplay except for a sniper rifle. There is an option to hack - did that too.

    The good:

    - Great main story and side quests
    - Driving ( i actually liked it, but it's as everything - personal opinion, it could be better tho )
    - Graphics ( obviously )
    - Music/Sound effects
    - Dialogues/Character design's
    - Gunplay ( *with sniper rifles )

    The bad:

    - Bugs ( didn't see many, but oooh boy the ones i saw destroyed my immersion a couple of times. )
    - Police system ( i mean... just go to youtube and type in " cyberpunk 2077 police " )
    - Lack of character customization options after character creator.
    - Very few options to interact with city itself ( NPC's, bar's etc. Almost non-existent )

But, despite all of that, i enjoyed it. If you are afraid of bugs/glitches - just give this game some time, go play anything else and come back once it's truly finished in a couple of months ( hopefully ).

However this game was not ready for a full release. It is a decent sized and well filled out game world that feels surprisingly dead other then interaction with main plot line cast. There is minimal interaction with NPCs, which is mostly them screaming and running into the street to be run over by your wildly un-controllable car which feels like it has a small metal post under it where it turns from. The melee combat is ... well its crap. The shooting feels spot on but it’s not that hard to make a decent shooter these days.
The AI is mostly stupid, they just hide behind crates and pop up to shoot once in a while and rarely flank, it is very easy to just skirt the edge of a combat zone and shoot in. If you spec'd in the tech tree you can shoot through cover. Like a buildings worth of it. I am on hard difficultly if that makes a difference to anyone. Also most of my deaths have been from something i didn't see near me exploding, as EVERY combat zone is littered with explosive tanks, generators and vehicles.
When you have had enough combat and feel like driving around and exploring pick a slow car with good breaks, otherwise, well get used to your car lifting off the ground while cornering, or hitting a small bump, or going up or down hill.
Overall if you really want to play through it in the current state its playable on pc if you don’t mind a lot of bugs, but would be much better a few months down the line with bug fixes, lots of QOL updates and the rest of the game mechanics in and functioning. This is very clearly a kick it out the door the shareholders want a big Q4 for more $$$ we will deal with in it post.

I have a high end PC so i didnt experience most of the reported game breaking bugs. Thats not to say the game still isnt littered with so many its unreal. The game play is average. the story good but as the origin doesnt make any difference and the choices are meaningless it just ends up being disappointing. and thats an accurate way to end this... its just so disappointing!! :(

I felt like I was paying for the limited showcase sequences of the game and the rest was just above average story with below-average gameplay performance, below-average bugs, below-average optimization, and above-average world-building, melee/gunplay, and RPG elements. Not as good as Skyrim but it's like a Cyberpunk version of Dying Light and Fallout combined

The gameplay was fun, but not great
And I also believe they made a huge mistake keeping the story short,
As it did not allow you to really bond with all the characters.

    Things I did not like.
Almost no NPCS you could interact with in the world itself. aside from the 5 side-quest lines, I encountered,

    No good police system.

After you romanced your choice, no new events after that.

Choices did not seem to matter, until the final mission.

So is this game good. hard to say it's ok, you will have fun the world looks amazing
But that is about it. The world is full of npc walking around cars driving but you can't interact with them.
There is one quest I remember in the beginning where you found an npc that needed your help. it was a funny quest but I never saw it again as all quests are dots on the map once you near one you get a phone call for doing that quest most of those are filler quests by simply eliminating or stealing something out of a building.
It's painful writing this review as I had such high expectations.
I expected more from the creators of the Witcher series.

It may be an unpopular opinion but I enjoy the shooting mechanics and while your character movement is a little clunky it doesn’t bother me as much.

The driving is a little funky and each car has different handling but the back of the car seems to slide easily like it’s on ice skates that needs some adjusting.

The game ramps up after the prologue and gets much more interesting at that point so it’s definitely a slow burn but worth it in my opinion.

At the end of the day, the game was released too early even after delays and it’s performance even on my specs leaves a lot to be desired. The game is fun but doesn’t really change the RPG genre in any significant way. For these reasons the game gets a 7/10

For referenceI have a 2070s i5-9600k and 16gb of ram and with some adjusting, can achieve 60-100 FPS however it drops quite a bit when driving.

The story of the game, at the moment, is brilliant, that cannot be denied, it is a game that is well written, the narrative engages, the characters are quite charismatic and they put you in a lot of trouble when it comes to choosing your loyalties.

Another brilliant thing is the sound, the dubbing is 10, the music, the setting, in general all the audio is very successful.

... And so far the good.

The game's main playable mechanics are pretty mediocre. Gunplay is basic, basic, even though they try to adorn it with some technical details that you end up not using like bouncing bullets or smart bullets, because basically they are not needed, the combat feels like any standard game in the industry. last decade. It has no personality. And the worst thing is the melee, you do not feel the contact, you just hit the button 3 times to do the combo, rest and repeat, flat animations, no blood, no reactions to the blows, nothing. And these technologies have been around for years.

Driving is disastrous, really, it does not make sense, there is no sense of speed, there is no sense of control of the vehicle, collisions are a joke and you end up avoiding accidents so as not to feel embarrassed, and turns, it seems that you rally when you are not even at 30 km / h. To summarize, the driving physics are non-existent, it was enough to copy already created models like the GTA, without giving it a further twist. I think they've had plenty of time.

Walking through the city becomes tedious, gangs everywhere that if you shoot first, a police will join them as allies spawned out of nowhere. Really, they appear on your face all of a sudden. If you also run over someone, or kill someone in absolute stealth, a crime will be reported automatically and the police will appear on your back out of nowhere.

And artificial intelligence, well, it doesn't exist directly. It has a very basic pattern, far behind current standards, but it is also downright stupid. She charges you head-on while you shoot her, she doesn't use the covers logically, she doesn't try to surround you, nothing. . And they are things that are already done in many games. They also forget that you have killed a partner of theirs within 5 seconds.

Character customization is also very, very basic, choose between X faces, X hairstyles, colors and some piercing, all pre-designed and very much seen. So much trouble with the immersion that they have not pampered this section, and also then you can not even see your character unless you go on a motorcycle or give him to see you in a mirror, because be careful, your character is not reflected or in crystals or anything, only when you see yourself in a mirror (?)

Anyway, one starts to think that they have invested so many years of development, to release a game that does not innovate in anything, that does not improve, or even equals, games of the past generation in many of its core mechanics . A game that is only saved by its setting and its narrative.

PS: The choices you make end up being practically irrelevant, as well as the selection of your character's background.

Which I get. But it doesn't necessarily tell you the overall quality of the game. Which I would say is a solid 7. Some people hate the dialogue and writing but I honestly found it to be head and shoulders better than the Witcher 3 which was frequently awkward and forced. As a result I love the characters and the story is pretty good. If you're mad about Keanu Reeves acting... you're an idiot for not expecting it to be the way it was. If you've seen one of his movies you should know what to expect and it doesn't detract from anything.

Does it live up to the hype and claims made by CD Project Red? Absolutely not. The world simulation is shallow and probably doesn't deserve the word simulation. though it was, for the most part, very lovingly crafted. The side quests range from cookie cutter to some being really well crafted and memorable. I would say that I wish the side quests seemed a little more organic to the city as opposed to "hey go blow away some gang members here for a reward from the cops!" These kinds of quests are far too common. But maybe they bit off more than they could chew with how big the map is. I don't know.

In the end i think this is one of those games where what you think of it comes down to the idea and expectations you had of it going into it. After all the marketing, the only real disappointment to me, outside of things I already knew had been cut, is that the world doesn't feel as convincing and lived in as GTA V.

Its fair to be mad at CD Project Red for how over hyped the game was, but in the end... you're the one who bought into it before you played it.

The game deserves any score between 7 and 8. If you wanted a life changing experience then I don't know what to tell you other than that video games will never be satisfying on that level. People giving this a 0-4 need to grow up and turn 16 figuratively if not literally.

Just google Cyberpunk police AI - the dumbest thing I’ve met in a lot of time!; 6) Hotfix 1.04 is ~700 megs, but demands 50 gigs to install. This is technical fiasko! 7) The game was so agressively advertised, but given it’s state - raw, buggy, hollow, barely interesting - I think that downplayed a lot of CD Project Red reputation. Honestly Cyberpunk reminded me of Stalker. The same staright progression, no matter what you do. The same dumb NPCs. Critical and non-critical bugs everywhere...
I put 5/10 for the graphics and sounds.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m a huge RPG fan and I love the cyberpunk aesthetic and fiction, so this game is right up my alley. I did not keep track of promises made about the game before it came out, so I can’t say I was disappointed by the lack of things CDPR promised. However, I can say after playing about 35 hours that there is a lot of potential for this game that didn’t come to fruition. And holy god, the glitches. There’s constantly floating palm trees in my face, making it hard to drive sometimes. Some items won’t allow me to pick them up. Guns and limbs get stuck in containers or the ground. Random strangers will all be crouched on the sidewalk, covering their heads even though nothing dangerous is happening. It’s just bizarre and messy. I can’t say I’ve ever played a more unpolished game. The environment of Night City is cool and I love the look of the fashion. Weapons look cool as well. The music is... ok. Both the radio stations and the score. Sometimes the score, when in combat, can be too loud and brash. I’m not a prude by any means but why does every ad in the game have to have someone’s ass in it? There is very little branching in the storyline and it makes you feel like your choices and actions are for naught. I hate the endings. Even the “best” one, where V’s alive and it just ends without you knowing if she’ll ever find a cure or die, just felt depressing. The idea of Johnny Silverhand taking over her brain is neat, but I didn’t like the character of Johnny much. He seemed like a washed-up has been. Maybe that was the point, I don’t know. Graphics are really nice, when they function correctly. Overall, it’s a mixed bag. I’m really hoping that since CDPR now supports mods, players will be able to add things into the game that should have been there from the start. Like I would have loved to be able to experience brain dances that were unrelated to solving mysteries, but more like seeing a movie, as they are depicted in the lore. I would also have liked to see food stalls and bars offer more things to do and interactions instead of just an npc you can buy snacks from. Think more like GTA, offering more mini games and opportunities for V to gain relationships with people around her and develop her character more. Expand

I have no clue how reviewers are giving this game anything higher that a 6. I’m playing the game maxed out 4K/ultra on pc and visually it looks great. After you get over the graphics you realize the game itself is complete trash. Without the bugs/glitches I feel like this game would still be trash. I loved Witcher 3 and actually cared about everyone in that game. The driving mechanics, gunplay is terrible. I don’t want to play the game hacking like it’s watchdogs. The character creation is trash. The AI in this game is the worse I’ve seen in the last decade. I can go on and on, but CDPR went from my top 5 devs to the bottom of the list after this garbage. I give this game a 7/10 in its current state, but it will be an 8 once they fix the poor performance and glitches, which, given the developer, I think is likely. The game has a lot of stuff mission (or not implemented yet). You stay every 10 minutes to sell the stuff you don't need (or dismantle). You get almost nothing for over 50 items sold or dismantled.
You can't order items by price, you can't add to favorite the items you like, you can't sell or dismantle multiple items at once. For a game that you play a lot you waste way to much in menu

You can't order items by price, you can't add to favorite the items you like, you can't sell or dismantle multiple items at once. For a game that you play a lot you waste way to much in menu getting rid of useless stuff because you can't carry more or you have no eddies.
You have a lot of options but the mission (at least at start) still end the same way (even the dialog is the same most of the times, even if you picked something else.
The clothes may have legendary stats but they are ugly or at least doesn't work with the rest of the stuff + it doesn't matter if you're a girl or man, the clothes you get are the same.
Even so I had and still have a lot of fun with this game, something that I don't get from games that are fully polished. I enjoy Night City. An open world game that it's not made to be long and empty, it feels like it's a real city.
Everything looks so cool, cars, city, people, weapons, ads.
    Music is good.
I didn't finish the game. I will change this review after future updates and after finishing everything but for now the came can't be more than 6.5.
You need to restart the game sometimes, because of some bugs (I have a 2060 super). The game works at 60 FPS easy but with ray tracing on it's 30 so ray tracing is useless even if you may see 10% better lighting in a few places. People are overselling this Ray Tracing stuff. I prefer 60 stable FPS at least instead of some better lighting in a very few areas that you barely notice.
Some stories with some characters seem generic. It's sad that in 8 years they couldn't take the wither formula and improve it with the side missions. It's not bad, it's easy over what 99% does for side missions, but didn't feel like they were important (even if some are and they matter, it wasn't like the Wither where I cared a lot more for the side missions.
My advice? Wait for an update that can fix the important bugs and where they start implementing more into the game.
If you can wait 6 months or 1 year it's possible to have the best game ever with a lot of cool stuff and even at a very low price.
Now? If you have nothing better to play (like Yakuza - like a dragon) I think the game deserves to be played. I have fun with it, a lot of stuff looks great, the story and even side missions are interesting and fun. Just remember that the game has more updates until it's close to finished.
I find it fun even now because so me bugs can make things very funny but if you want to enjoy the story it will be very hard when lip sinking doesn't work sometimes, the audio is broken other times, characters go crazy, things explode. 100% you can't take the story serious with so many bugs happening from time to time.
Don't get me wrong, it was even over 5 hours sometimes when I never found an important bugs, just some small and barely noticeable loading issues for textures.
I don't regret buying this game, it deserves the money, but they need to fix it and implement a lot of stuff that the game lacks.
I also love the fact that they don't censorship a lot of stuff but you have the option to do it and I love that. Who wants a censored game, they can have that, but if you want nudity and don't care? You also can do that.
Nobody should force us accept censorship, this should only be picked by the player. I never pay for censorship and I tank Cyberpunk 2077 for making a great job.
The developers did a great job but too bad the people in command didn't let them finish the game. I'm sure they are disappointed and they wanted everybody to enjoy the game they made, after they finished it.
I'm sorry that I have to give it this review, but it is what it is, for now.
Later I'm sure I will give this a max score and a 7 is not bad for now, I just hope the developers can finish the game as they wanted from the start.
A game like as big as complex like this will always have a lot of bugs, I just hope the ones that are all over the place and annoying/game breaking will be fixed.
Now I'm going back to enjoy the game. See ya. Gig closed

Just another game developer that care about rushing out a product for money. Looking forward to watching you turn into Bioware.. may as well sell yourselves to EA now.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Bugs aside the actual story is disappointing. I thought that the 3 choices in the beginning were going to be actual paths rather than watered down origin stories. The choices are more an allusion of choice where you end up in the same paths as everyone else. Tbh red dead 2s open world is much more satisfying to play imo. Expand

Sure, the AI are often buggy, there are many aesthetic glitches that gnaw at one's suspension of disbelief, but underneath the vail of problems is an engrossing and inexorably fun world that is ludicrously addictive, gritty and enrapturing. This isn't the game-changing hype-machine that many were lead to believe in the trailers, but much like The Witcher 3, CDPR's previous instalment, the draw is not impressive AI and revolutionary combat, but a deeply compelling story with some fantastic voice acting and at times jaw-dropping sights that are begging to be fully realised with better driving, NPC's and a broadening of impact that the player can have on the world. I am, as I was upon The Witcher 3's launch, as hopeful as ever that we can see these changes in the coming year, that the huge, complex next-generation experience that was pitched at launch is delivered to the fans of CDPR. not the rpg that was advertized by cdpr. i think a lot of the trailers were misleading. for me this is more like an action adventure with a rpg skill system. I still enjoyed the story and the graphics look amazing. but because of the bugs and the misleading advertisement and lies told by the cdpr management, i can only give it a 5/10.

played 133h in my first playtrough and will maybe start a second one when the game is patched more and when some dlcs are released. If i buy any addons, really depends on the state of the game when the addons are beeing released.

The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
