    Cult of the lamb is a unique rouge-like sim game that have elements of base management that compliment each other very well. The rougue-like dungeon crawling part of the game is quite standard such as limited HP, weapons are RNG based, with a mixed of "cards for talents" which are cards that provide you bonus perks and stats which are also RNG. The rouge-lime aspect of the game kindaCult of the lamb is a unique rouge-like sim game that have elements of base management that compliment each other very well. The rougue-like dungeon crawling part of the game is quite standard such as limited HP, weapons are RNG based, with a mixed of "cards for talents" which are cards that provide you bonus perks and stats which are also RNG. The rouge-lime aspect of the game kinda remind me a little of binding of isaac in a good way which is a plus.

    The base management in the game is really fun as well with the focus of building and growing your cult. This includes building new structures, farms, and other bizzares structures that help grow your cult following and also the quality of life for your followers and your settlement.

    I love the visual of the game with its cute artstyle but yet somehow able to blend with the dark theme of the game, they have some really good soundtrack and the UI in the game is also really easy to navigate that makes me appreciate the little things. As much as I love the game, there are some minor issue that I had encounter during my 30 hours gameplay. There are quite a number of bugs such as enemy not spawning thus I'm not able to proceed to the next section of the game which require me to restart, your followers at time would not pop up a speech bubble when you interract with them. Hopefully future patches are able to fix these bugs which otherwise a really great game.

    Overall Cult of the Lamb is by far one of the more unique and visually pleasing game I played this year. If you're into rouge-like games or base management games or just a game you want to jump in and out anytime you want, you definitely should not miss out on this.    … Expand

    cult of the lamb at least in my opinion is the best indie game that released this year and i think the most fun i had with a western game in a while.     the dungeons are cool the end game is fun and everything about this game is really good there were here and there's but are totally small nitpicks of mine

    base building and managing is the meat of this game. spending time with your followers doing cultish activities like holding sermons, rituals, sacrifices, confessions, asking your followers to fight to the death, etc., is extremely addicting. you’ll assign jobs to each follower and become a self sufficient community. it’s a fat grind and can be repetitive, but it never bored me once.

    the rogue-like action of this game is satisfying and very similar to isaac with random weapons and buffs for each run. it’s not too challenging, but it’s a nice balance of rng and skill. the runs only last on average 10 mins, which makes sense bc the in-game time still ticks when you’re dungeon crawling, meaning your followers will still be active, and you sure don’t want to leave your flock starving!

    it’s a mix between the action of isaac and hades, with similar base building from don’t starve, and with a small hint of animal crossing mixed in. all that blender together with the satisfaction of being a cult leader who leads the flock however you so choose makes for a damn good game. the music and atmosphere is also great.

    it’s not a super long game, if you take your time with side quests and mini games it can definitely last 15-20 hours.

    if you like base builders or rogue-likes do yourself the favor and try this game out. i haven’t been addicted to a game like this in a while    … Expand

    This game has it all and is near perfect. It has a few annoying bugs here and there but I'm sure these will be fixed in time. It has great sound and music, great art style and design, fantastic characters and gameplay.

These dungeons are fairly short, consisting of several stages that players can clear to obtain valuable resources. During each stage, you will also encounter unique NPCs who can empower you with talents, offer powerful weapons, or award an assortment of stone, wood, or foodstuffs (including seeds) to cultivate your growing commune.

    The loop of gathering supplies, tending to your worshipers, upgrading both your character and your settlement and then going out to do it again is extremely satisfying, with a charming art style and expressive animations that bring joy to every moment of it.     Un juego entretenido y sencillo pero adictivo que combina elemento rogue-like y de gestión de una comunidad (secta).
    Su punto más fuerte es la ambientación y el diseño unido a una jugabilidad rápida que siempre anima a jugar "cinco minutitos más".
    Su punto más débil es que si vas a por el "malo final" del tirón, el juego se termina en un día o dos.

But really this game locks you in as soon as you start with the art style that’s not to serious and the story is interesting and a different spin on dungeons and base/hub creator. I love every aspect of creating followers building up your evil andI’m really enjoying this little adventure. Let’s start with your an Evil Lamb cult leader. Es como decir que un Metroidvania pierde puntos por ser una copia de Metroid o Castlevania. COTL se influencia de TBOI, ETG,    El mejor juego del año hasta ahora. Y si, he jugado todos los demás e incluso más de los que se imaginan. Las críticas que veo sobre Cult of the Lamb son:

    1. Se parece mucho a otros juegos que ya vimos.
    No me digas, es un Roguelike con gestión, que esperabas?. Es como decir que un Metroidvania pierde puntos por ser una copia de Metroid o Castlevania. COTL se influencia de TBOI, ETG, hasta de la gestión o el sistema de pesca de juegos como Stardew Valley. Está mal esto? NO, de hecho mejora en muchos aspectos a algunas de sus influencias. Trabaja sobre sus errores y los mejora. Imaginate seguir jugando TBOI en 2022.

    2. No dura 500hs.
    Si, vivimos en una sociedad. En una sociedad basura que pide que cada título dure 500hs porque sino no es worth comprarlo. Jamejodé, le metí 16hs, lo hice al 100% y me quedé satisfecho esperando más contenido. Ahora a jugar los otros 50 títulos que tengo en la espera. No es culpa de nadie que sean unos secos que quieren hacer durar 500hs cada juego en lugar de ir jugando diferentes títulos. Si hubieran sobreextendido este juego, sería aburrido y repetitivo, ahí si. Igual no niego que le falta contenido endgame, pero no es para matarlo.

    3. La crítica, muchas veces tácita que vi en varias reviews de pren$a es que les moja la oreja. Si, se sienten zarpados. Porque saben que esta "secta" se parece mucho al partido político para el cuál trabajan estos mercenarios. Les molesta y les da incomodidad ver los paralelismos que hay con sus vidas. Como sirven sin cuestionarse nada siguiendo el billete y persiguiendo falsos ídolos.

    Mi reseña no entraría en este pequeño texto, tengo mi pág, hago mis propias reseñas sin fines de lucro. En mi caso el juego recibió un 86/100 y hasta el momento es el puntaje más alto de este año. Todavía queda mucho, pero por el momento es un juego sublime, cuidado al detalle, muy bien logrado y sobretodo, que no está acá por la moda de los Roguelike, los Soulslike ni nada de eso como muchos otros que se notan, solo están por los billetes. Y también vi en algunas reseñas de pren$a que lo comparaban con Hades, diciendo que COTL es inferior. Jugabiemente claro que si, es mucho más simple, aunque a veces la simpleza es orden. Pero no olvidemos que Hades es solo un Roguelike de combates, COTL usa los combates de dungeon crawler como complemento para la gestión, el progreso y la narrativa. No vi casi ningún juego en estos últimos años, intentar todo esto a la vez y hacerlo más que bien.    … Expand

    After 25 hours of cute animations, I can tell that the mix of rogue like and management adds up. Mixed with good rated progress, Tho sometimes it feels a little bit to fast, cause you have to care about your members (when you do not let them fight to death or sacrifice one for fun haha). But it makes a really good impression. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed every second in it. For a solidAfter 25 hours of cute animations, I can tell that the mix of rogue like and management adds up. Mixed with good rated progress, Tho sometimes it feels a little bit to fast, cause you have to care about your members (when you do not let them fight to death or sacrifice one for fun haha).     This game is way bigger than what you expect when you start playing it, you start with a few things to do, but as you play through the game, it unlocks more and more amazing stuff! The fighting feels really good and solid, it feels like you are always on control of what´s happening, I would love the cards to have more impact on the game tho, like we have with items in "the    Brilliant!

    Cult of the lamb is a really fun little game. I got about 17 hours out of it. Really feel like the game needs better economy and also cultist interactions/realtionships. Also really needs some end game content!

С развитием появляются автоматические здания, самое полезное из которых - ферма, где последователи сами могут урожай убирать, но всё равно рутины много. Ещё самих зданий маловато - построил ферму, лесопилки, алтарь, домики - и по сути всё. Задания от последователей тоже все однотипные.
    Вторая часть - это roguelike наподобие Bindings of Isaac и Hades. Несмотря на высокий уровень сложности игра заметно легче, чем Хейдс и значительно легче, чем Айзек. Монстры не особо отличаются друг от друга, а боссы вообще не запоминаются. Четверо епископов тоже особой сложности не доставляют, по настоящему сложный лишь последний босс.
    Подытоживая: игра привлекает своей графикой, саундтреком, а также тем, что постоянно меняешь активности - не наскучивает, но строительно-менеджерская часть не дотягивает ни до Dont Starve ни тем более до игр типа Oxygen Not Included, также как и боевая часть не дотягивает ни до Hades ни тем более до Bindings of Isaac. На несколько вечеров - отличное приключение, но перепроходить у меня желание вряд ли возникнет.    … Expand

    What an amazing game ! i get from steam this october sales with really low price of what it is ... When i start it i didnt stop playing it for straight 10 hours . Its a simplify rogue like game like bindings of isaac and its also a city management game ! These two genge works in perfect balance. And there is also some replay value with events (right now is a halloween one)!! 10/10 must buy!

    Cool game, I enjoyed building my cult and grinding the dungeon. The art style is nice and the soundtrack slaps.
    It has some annoying bugs, but I could live with it. I wish there was more endgame cult content, at the end there was nothing to do in the cult section of the game. But I recommend it, I had fun with it.

Ama Hades kadar keskin, çeşitli ve eğlenceli bir dövüş mekaniği yok. Vasat düzeyde, iş görüyor sadece. Türü roguelike ama çok soft. Cezalandırması düşük. Kolay kolay ölmüyorsunuz zaten.

    This is an incredibly cute game, and one doesn't overstay its welcome, either. As much fun as I would say I had playing this, I no longer have the time to dump dozens of hours into everything I play, and this game is perfect for that.

    Cult of the Lamb ist eine gutes spiel, ich würde Jedoch nicht empfehlen das Spiel auf der Nintendo Switch zu spielen da es dort sehr hart lagt.

    This game looks fantastic, has a lot of charm, and is easy to play for hours at a time. Looking forward to any post-game content to be released because I didn’t feel too inclined to keep my cult going after beating the final boss.

    The game is so good. It's addictive and you don't know what's next in this game. The game comes with you something with NEW as always. THE GAME GETS BETTER AS YOU PLAY.
    The game is almost perfect in all aspects. And it is very fun to play, that's the most important thing.

    Gameplay: 6/10 very little depth to the combat, very easy unless you play on max difficulty (which just strips your hp away). The city builder aspect is good if you like that kind of thing, personally I cannot stand it which made me psychotic.    Visuals: 10/10 excellent style, very consistent

Das Tarotkarten-System zur Verbesserung deiner Fähigkeiten ist abwechslungsreich, aber nicht zu komplex und somit auch für Einsteiger geeignet. Die Leveldurchläufe spielen ohne großen zeitlichen Aufwand und man kann super "mal eben kurz" in das Spiel reinschauen. Ein insgesamt kurzweiliges, wirklich nettes Spiel mit ansprechender Comic-Grafik und humorig-düsterem Setting.

    While playing myself i recognized a mix between The Gameplay of The Binding Of Isaac, The Graphic of Don't Starve and the cult version of Animal Crossing, that this game is multiple in one.     Este jogo nada mais é que charmoso. Tem um charme em toda sua mecânica (nada inovadora, mas bem montada e que prende). As dungeons e outras missões não deixa a parte de "fazendinha" enjoativa como alguns jogos.
    Seu charme maior está na sua mistura artística.
    É muito gostoso de jogar e lembra bastante Binding of Isaac e Dead Cells.

    - La historia es básica pero funciona para el juego que es. La forma en que te relacionas con los de la secta es lo mejor. Puedes pedirles dinero, asustarles, ver como están, qué necesitan, etc.

    - Los bosses son solo eso, bosses. Sin embargo, los adeptos los puedes personalizar, hacer regarlos, tienen edad y se harán viejos y acabarán muriendo. Les coges cariño.

    - Los gráficos están hechos con cariño, las animaciones son brutales y todo en general se ve coherente.

    - Las mazmorras son "repetitivas" ya que hay que completaralas varias veces. Pero cada vez que entras deberás afrontarlo de forma diferente gracias a la generación procedural y la aleatoriedad de las armas y habilidades activas/pasivas que te tocarán.

    - El mundo en el que hábitas es pequeño, lo recorreras muchas veces de lado a lado para ver tu secta, o visitar a ciertos amiguetes. No quiero admitir el tiempo que he dedicado a poner bonito mi asentamiento (tienes que ver como me quedó el cementerio).

    - La jugabilidad es su punto fuerte diría. Las animaciónes son perfectas, la fluidez de los controles es genial y las diferentes armas y habilidades te hacen tener que afrontar el combate de forma diferente cada vez que entras en una mazmorra. Sin embargo las mejoras del personaje me han parecido escasas y poco útiles (así como los atuendos). Cuando tenía algun punto que gastar no sabía donde ponerlo, no porque me interesen varias opciones, sino porque no me interesaba ninguna.    … Expand

    Cult of the Lamb surprised me. I only heard about it briefly before it was released and didn't bother to look at it until it was on sale. I took the chance to play it mainly because of the graphical style which I thought was unique. I've always enjoyed games like Binding of Isaac and Do Not Starve, and with this entry we see a combination of the two in a way. Not only a combination, but anCult of the Lamb surprised me. I've always enjoyed games like Binding of Isaac and Do Not Starve, and with this entry we see a combination of the two in a way. Not only a combination, but an interesting direction with it as you control a cult with seemingly cute characters. As you play through the game, you'll find yourself impressed with its simplistic but beautiful graphical direction and interested in the world that it tries to build. I do admit that once you are deep into the game, there is a lack of innovation in the gameplay, but overall I genuinely enjoyed the game even with my lack of interest in games as of late.… Expand

    Cult of the Lamb realmente é um dos meus jogos preferidos. A forma de você criar a sua seita, o cenário, os seus seguidores, é tudo incrível. Quando alguém da minha seita morria, eu ficava muito triste. Principalmente o meu primeiro seguidor, quando ele morreu eu fiquei bem mal hahahahaha.
    A música desse jogo é impecável, calma, e combina com o jogo.

    Fantastic game, I really enjoyed it. Quite addicting! Kudos to the sound design team - amazing job, I never digged indie soundtracks too much, but this one is special.

    One thing I'd mention - I'm a casual player and even after switching to easy mode the combat quickly got just too hard all the while the hub builder/managment part go too easy and so my progress in game died.

    Cult of the Lamb is honestly, one of my favourite games of all time. The artstyle is simply amazing, along with the story (which sadly isn't too expanded yet).

    all the different characters, and interactions with your followers made me love it, the moment i first opened it. i love how you can choose, how you wish to treat your servants. you can either (try) to be a merciful god, or    Cult of the Lamb is honestly, one of my favourite games of all time. The artstyle is simply amazing, along with the story (which sadly isn't too expanded yet).

    all the different characters, and interactions with your followers made me love it, the moment i first opened it.

    i love how you can choose, how you wish to treat your servants. you can either (try) to be a merciful god, or you can imprison and sacrifice anyone who looked weirdly at you.

    and the fact tgat you can marry your enemies, after you rob them out of their godhood and enslave them is just 10/10 pls buy it its a good game trust me    … Expand

    Even the basic balanced alternation between boss slaying expeditions and tending your sheep will provide hours of fun, maybe even dozens of hours. And there are even more things to do in the game, including mini-games like fishing or playing backgammon. [Issue#321]
