    The only thing that is remotely the same as previous versions is the multiplayer formula: fast paced twitch shooting with little downtime. Different game modes such as Search and Rescue and Blitz improve upon multiplayer to keep things interesting. Squad gameplay is a nice way to get some training in for new players and also provides its own game modes.

    For me, the true gem of Ghosts is the Co-op gameplay brought on by safeguard and extinction. Safeguard is like MW3's survival while extinction replaces the zombie mode from previous games. As long as you turn mouse acceleration off via your mouse software, the game runs fantastically and the graphics are much improved. and it has space.     Man Ghosts on the PC is so bad!!! Multiplayer graphics are junk. Gameplay is worse than BO2. Gun sounds are cartoonish. The game overall is worse than BO2. Id give it a negative score if i could. My biggest problem is with the graphics tho, just appalling. Im using my pre-order bonus Ghosts bandanna to wipe my arse with!

    Don't waste your time with this horrible PC port. That's what it is. The game was clearly developed for consoles and ported over to PC. Not only that but there are issues all over the place with this game. I won't get into the many issues, just take a stroll through the forums and you'll see for yourself. Don't do what I did and waste your money on this game. Save your money for something else.

    I always liked the CoD games. I knew they never were fresh or creative but the multiplayer part just worked well. So really liked BOPsII and was looking forward to the multiplayer part in ghosts.

    But this game is just a shame. Performance vise its terrible. It looks like a bumped up MW2 but how the hell does this need triple the hardware to run smoothly (if only it would....)?     a step backwards for pc fps, this version of COD from infinity ward makes battlefield 4 seems like the savior to pc fps games... cod ghost makes battlefield fans laugh and turns cod fans into bf4 fans, fov sucks, no support for eyefinity and surround... basically just a really bad game, don't buy this game at any cost...

    I lol at the 'professional critics' reviews who always love to suck off big developers with their positive scores.
    But the players (the most important critics) have spoken.
    CoD is well and truly dying and the slow sales of this latest installment may well be one of the final nails in it's overdue coffin.

    Best Call of Duty game since Modern Warfare 2. Raging kids puts 0 marks only because this is CoD, I'm sure, that majority of them not even played the game.

    This game offered NOTHING. Terrible performance! Some People are getting 40 FPS on a GTX TITAN! This is a step back from Black Ops 2. Black Ops 2 even had better graphics. This game makes me feel literally SICK, there is no field of view slider at all. My head literally hurts when I play this pathetic excuse of a game. There is no reason to waste your time or money on this game. DO NOT BUY.

I recently had some more free time and thought "hey, let's try a new Call of Duty".

    But this? This is the most    Okay, 5000 characters. I am not sure if this is enough to share my experience with you. To clarify I am not Battlefield fan-boy. I used to play Call of Duty on a professional level on a lot of eSports events. I loved Call of Duty 4 which I enjoyed for 2 or even 3 years. I recently had some more free time and thought "hey, let's try a new Call of Duty".

    But this? This is the most unfinished product I have ever seen. I am not saying anything about graphics, which to me looks like at least one generation old. I am honest, it's not even frustration. This game looks worse than Call of Duty 4 and I have around 20 fps if that's what you guys call optimization, better work on a new engine. This awful optimization forced me to change graphic settings like 10 times. The frustrating part is that you require the game to load level over and over again, with every (even small) change in the settings. I don't even want to say anything about your 6GB of RAM requirement, because this is the biggest joke I have ever seen. I have a pretty decent setup, I played BF4 which has a lot better graphics on 40-50 FPS at 1440x900 with medium settings. I have 20 FPS in Call of Duty, running it on 1280x720 with low settings.

    Honestly... I am speechless. I will sum up everything with only one sentence you guys even copied some of the old files (sounds) to Call of Duty: Ghosts. It feels like you guys released a patch or DLC that is pretty much f***** up, because someone failed in your QA Department with game tests. When I see notes like "10" for this game on Metacritic I don't even know what to say.

    This game is horrible, period. And to clarify I really love what you guys are doing. I love video games, I love game-dev. I love your passion that you put in Call of Duty for several years. I can understand a lot of processes that may have went wrong. But here... I am just a customer. Customer, that haven't seen this kind of disappointment for the last several years.     Love the addition of dogs.

    Game is so intuitive with dogs and fish. Only complain I have is they left out the possibilty to add armor and stuff on the dog. Would also like to customize the dog more, like different hair and fur on it, pick some neat colors and so on.

    If they add more animals i will give it an 8 or 9, good job IW

    Do they intend to keep PC players? The current version is a sad excuse of a port.

    -last decade graphics, guns sound like muffled firecrackers, character models and the general experience of the MP feels like a free-to-play FPS

At no point in making of this retarded decision were you ever close to anything that can be considered a rational thought. Every COD:Ghosts owner is now dumber for having bought it. This product was released to the public Nov 5th and that is what you will receive if you buy this game. I also bought BF4 but I already know they are taking the time to make the game run smooth as they had an open beta. This makes me wonder if the developers of IW know what they are doing. I mean honestly PayDay 2 has better graphics. I thought it would be cool that you could customize a character and become a woman. I think thats the only improvement this game has made.

    Hell yeah i have 16GB Ram and had no problems with installation andor requirements. But... BUTT!
    Same game from greedy guys. Made game for consoles not for PC. I can't even name that "shooter" no aim, small maps, no skill.
    Wont buy any "CoD" games anymore.
    his is a step back from Black Ops 2 in almost every way. No FoV slider on PC version, or FPS cap setting, both of which were present in BO2. Bugs in MW3 that were addressed in BO2 are now somehow back in Ghosts, for example the random jumps in mouse sensitivity that happen if certain programs are running in the background (such as FRAPs). Theater mode, one of the best features of recent Call of Duty games, has been removed. Optimization wise, my computer runs Battlefield 4 on max settings at higher frame rates than Ghosts. Image quality defaults to 'high', which causes upscaling of resolution like a console game rather than rendering at your chosen resolution. Sound effects sound like they were taken straight from MW3.     The game needs your gaming rig to have 6 gigs of ram or more to start the game you purchased. That means 32-bit computers won't be able to start the damn game. What's ironic is, the game needs 2 gigs of ram to run smoothly. This is the reason why this game is an epic fail for PC.     Absolutely fantastic new innovative Fish AI. The fish actually move out of your way when you swim towards them. Mind blowing. Another brilliant addition to the greatest video game series of all time. Also, dogs.

    Graphics are terrible, even worse then cod wow i would say. Players randomly teliport, the menu stutters cant even play single player because the cut scenes crash the game. Not optimized at all. They should be shot.

    If i can play bf4 maxed 60+ fps i should be able to play this pile of crap!

    Decided to play Betafield 4 instead.

    That crashed on my 2nd game.

    Releasing the same game which naive people will buy again.
    It is a very disappointing game if you played the series for a long time.
    It has almost no innovation at all. The highly praised by the marketing team next gen engine is just a bit prettier than MW3. Single player is decent, but only if you don't get tired of linear map design.

    This has to be the most recycled CoD game of all times. The only 'new' feature is 'the dog". The entire single player campaign is completely forgettable as the big moments are just rehashed bits of the previous games. In myI used to love COD. Up until MW3. BO2 was the worst of them all. Since MW3, COD games have been plagued by the same (and justly right) criticism gameplay hasnt changed over the last many years, graphics havent improved, lag and connection issues, stupid quickscoping snipers, etc. After BO2, I thought I would never buy another COD game, but I guess I am a sucker for the hype of this. In my mind, I kidded myself thinking this year it would be different, this year (especially with the advent of next gen) COD would look amazing, play amazing and after the fallout from BO2, Infinity Ward would do something... interesting with the game. I have played probably around 7 matches. And I hate this game. Same old stuff graphics no improvement. Gameplay boring as hell. Poor spawning. Connection issues. Snipers still bloody camping. I discovered Battlefield BC2 a while back and have been a fan of the series since. I have never been a fanboy type, but seriously, BF4 (even with the games many technical issues re connection, rubber banding, stat losses, etc) is a far far better game. Even BF3 is far superior to COD Ghosts.
    I could go on here and make this pretty extensive, however I am itching to play some more BF4, so will keep this brief. In summary: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME. ITS THE SAME AS ALL THE OTHER CODS. Boring, full of campers, poor graphics (I am on a high end PC and this game looks ancient), poor gameplay, poor optimisation, no way to adjust key things like ADS sensitivities, etc.
    I think this is the end of the COD franchise (I hope so anyway) especially with the likes of BF4, Destiny, Titanfall and others coming out which are far better games. Goodbye COD, I will not miss you.    … Expand

Back when you paid 60$ for a full game and no 15$ map packs, back when the developers made actual expansion packs with new story line and new maps and not only 4 maps.

    So after such a long time I decided to get the newest installment because they hired a good writer to write this game. (I have not played black ops or any of the other cod's)

    The sad thing is that Activision hired Stephen Gaghan to do the writing but there isn't much dialogue in this game. You basically have an idea of what the story is about but you are shooting most of the time, there is no connections with the characters and the campaign is too short. The missions are varied but we have seen them in the previous COD's. All COD's have climbing down from a window and then shoot the guys inside the room, the snow missions are getting repetitive, the underwater mission is nice but we also had that. Also the 40gb install and 6gb of ram are just lazy coding or maybe all the DLC's are already installed and need a 15$ code to unlock it.

    The multiplayer is just a recycle of previous modern warfare's it seems: Same animation kill, reloading animation, same guns and knifing feels like you poke someone. The kill streaks are stupid because you can see the enemy on the radar and the dog attack is just overpowered.

    Please remember: Black Ops and Ghosts are made by different companies! Its correct to compare Ghosts to Modern Warfare series, while Black Ops were made by same company as World at War and some previous CODs. This game may have all the bugs and sad things that MW2/3 had as its made by same people, same company, and often same mistakes were made (which makes the game so damn terrible).

The games doesn't run very smoothly and is blighted by annoying niggles when the action gets chaotic. The maps seem bigger but very poorly designed and often messy. This makes the spawns terrible and sometimes you can wonder around for long periods way away from the firefights and enemies and other occasions you can spawn right in front of the opposition. This is frustrating as the action becomes favourable and unblalanced which leads to scrappy matches fought on large areas in condensed spaces with players then being planted on the outskirts, desperate to find a way back into the mix.

    Theatre mode has been omitted which is a major backwards step and doesn't help identifying hackers. You either need a capture card or have to accept your highlights will be living long in your memory. The general presentation seems watered down with minimal stats and features these elements have been replaced by waves of confusing menus that mean little to casual players who just want to pick up and play. The HUD presentation and general in-game graphics look dated to the extent; parodies and fan-made material has looked more impressive.

    The modes are a redeeming aspect along with the new create a soldier function but ultimately everything is a spin on the existing format but just adds a twist. The new modes to the playlist are interesting but SnD and Hardpoint along with Demo have been removed which may upset some gamers particularly on console. Even though I personally don't opt for such gametypes; I feel the dissatisfaction amongst those who do and it highlights along with other features that have been removed.

    Extinction is something on the side IW's attempt at zombies but with Aliens;- can't see that kicking off entirely but at least they've tried something other than the dreadful Spec Ops as seen in MW3.

    Overall Ghosts is a step back but does retain the typical positives that has made the game so popular. The omissions of theatre mode and the in-depth stats in a major blow and in some instances is unforgiveable. IW, Neversoft and Raven who have churned this title out clearly don't have the desire to match Treyarch's approach to the games. The quality and general execution is not of the same professionalism and it's all set-up for possibly Black Ops 3 to get the series back on track. I think Ghosts is decent for a CoD but after BO2; it doesn't enhance the franchise as much as we expected.    … Expand

    The game looks disgusting, the texture of poor quality, lack of physics (the windows in the houses do not fight, pieces of walls are not crumbling when entering or explosive grenades, and so on), some models are obviously deprived of polygons, the effects look faded, and the game slows down no optimization. System requirements are not comparable to the quality of the game.

    Sure this is the same, yet it is really fun to level "together", to play new maps, try out new weapons etc.

    The most terrible game i've played the last 2 decades. Game is stuttering all over the place on both low and high video settings, buggy textures, the most ridiculous guns from which it doesn't even matter where or when or how you shoot. You kill things in 2 hits, if you shoot in the arm, leg, stomach or chest nothing will make any difference.

The graphics are nice on a NVIDIA 780, new techniques such as HBAO+ are supported. The single player campaign is interesting and something new. The multi player leveling system with squads is very interesting and a new variation of the "get to level 60 and prestige"-theme.This years release of CoD is a rather good one.     COD ghost campaign story line is compelling and graphics are ok.
    COD MP is terrible a step back from bops2. High FPS still seems laggy, movement not the same,, maps are small. The pc version is ridiculous, activision seems to not really care about the pc gamer in this one.     -Un-optimized sluggishness (add to that FOV at 65 with no option to change).
    - Freezing and crashes that funnily enough have wiped out Steam along with it (go figure).
    - Small condensed maps leading to a) spawning in proximity to the enemy and b) nigh always having someone coming at you from ALL angles leading to death short of having eyes in the back of your head.
    - Servers are constantly timing out from the would-be host, which having played 80% of a game only to have it fail like that and see all your XP/awards go out the window frankly is a complete joke. You tell me IW/Activision where it was my fault someone/something crashed the server.

    The Ugly:
    It's the realization that I put my faith in IW/Activision, having not played since MW2, only to think "It's been years since you played and surely you've waited long enough for some vast improvements to be made to the series that actually warrants your purchase again"...

    No, it did not.

    I am genuinely disappointed with this title. What makes it worse is for me I actually bothered to invest in the collectors so it feels like even more of my money wasted.

    It would be enough to ask that the game just function as intended regardless of it's technological shortcomings (although apparently requiring 6GB of RAM), but this title fails even in that endeavour. I've barely been able to go three maps without some sort of server crash, freeze, or game crash. Each crash has then taken me out of play and rendered whatever XP/awards I've earned in that time null and void.

    What I would like to see from this is one of two things. The options are:
    - IW/Activision authorizes refunds for a seriously flawed piece of software. Knowing that will never happen..
    - IW/Activision publicly voice their shortfall on this game, and begin work in earnest immediately on patches that will optimize this game for the PC, and remove the sources of crashing/freezing. This is an absolute minimum ask. It is your creation, and it is not even close to the value you put on your product that you asked for when we purchased.

    This series, your company, and it's legacy are fast becoming the laughing stock of the game development community. Have some dignity and pride. Fix it.    … Expand

    Total garbage. Fov stuck at 65. No multimonitor support at all, not even with third party software.) graphics are garbage. This game should sell for $29.99. They don't care though. They are counting all our money. Only way to fix this is to stop supporting them. Don't buy their games anymore. That would force them to make a complete overhaul of this garbage.

No server browsing. Yeah, big news, there's a character creation. BIG IMPROVEMENT, YEAH. And, also you can't run the game if you don't have the 6GB of RAM minimum. 6GB? REALLY?

    It's just poor, the game itself lack of immersion, It's always just about the same multiplayer and a throw-in singleplayer, the story script is just cheesy, the whole game feels cheesy, the character animation are over used since many many years ago, such a game isn't really bad at first, but after al these years, seiously, we are tired of it

    This is by far the worst CoD of the series. Bad port..... I mean really bad port. It just feels the game didn't get any effort from the devs. Better graphics? updated engine? serious? CoD4 looks better then this. Its just garbage and don't waste your money. I'm ripped of.

A game must have a lot of choices that the player can do which was COD: Ghosts. But they really need to have more time rather than making more and more and more. The game was rather unfinished and unpolished, but it was a good experience to do and try more rather than just a ordinary shooting game. Call of Duty Ghosts does suffer from a next gen look as BF4 was given, it does make up for in areas such as being able to shoot without being stuck behind invisible barriers in the pathing the game suffers from.     Good game, decent graphics. Problem is it appears to be heavily un-optimized and a terrible PC port. No FOV, poor performance (2600k 4.2Ghz, 16GB ram, 3GB 580GTX) even on absolute minimum.

People in Russia and France can play it about 15 hours earlier than people in Canada. Damn, We have to re down load another 24GB files for over 10 hours. This is one of the fatal flaws. If we have to re download files, what is the difference to have a damn pre load option? to tease you before you can play or to mock you after you cannot play and feel angry? Shame on them. Another fatal flaw is 6GB damn ram requirement. I have 24GB ram and I have no issue with it at this point. But I know many people's pc still has 4 GB ram and 4 GB for playing games at low or med settings is totally enough. According to my experience with 3D software and after effects software and games, only a long image rendering queue uses over 4GB ram which can take over 16GB ram. But not a single game. It is simple. And from reports, ghosts doesn't need 6GB to run, it only uses 2GB so 4GB is good to go. I know it is good for people to warn them that their system might not be good to handle a game. But polite notice or warning is good, simply blocking people from playing it is bad, I am serious, really bad.    … Expand

    Flickering textures cant even play it my head hurts so bad. 65 FOV 91 FPS CAP. Bad sound, bad maps. 6GB RAM requierd Very poor console port.

    GHOSTS ON PC...My God.. Why did i even bother. This game Runs like BF4 on BETA i have a 560Ti 6GBS Ram. and a i7860 at lease if u run extra quality please don't make me freeze mid map. Im not even using that much power and i doubt that playclaw's overlay is lying. I got this game for free on PC. Audio is Bad. Graphics are not that Impressive and netcode #GGNORE

    Black Ops 2 is much better!

    SHAME OF THE YEAR. Game awfull, support awfull, requirements just lol. Fail of the year, official position IW if requirements low go to the shop and buy more ram/cpu/videocard/audio/motherbord and mostly important reinstall your windows to x64 if you want play in another case game not start. And all of this you need do to play 4 hours campain. LOL. Seriously, just buy new BF.

    What a fail of EPIC proportions. Tried to play this game, got a sudden warning I needed to get more RAM! Not only did I have to buy a new laptop for this, it wasn't fun in the slightest (no new improvements on previous entries in the series, all the same old stale run and shoot gameplay) and the game didn't even end up utilizing the full 8GB I have now. What's the deal with that?

    The Game deserves good reviews maybe 6 7 /8 but not 0

    This is basically just a rework of Modern Warfare 2 with a dog thrown in there. It's like they struggled to come up with anything new, then thought it would be a good idea to replace a controllable drown with controllable dog. That's all the dog essentially is, a drone with 4 feet that can detect things from the ground instead of from the air. They even go as far adding a REVERSE breach.This is basically just a rework of Modern Warfare 2 with a dog thrown in there. I know! insteaad of a normal breach, we will have, and get this, are you ready for this? we will have a REVERSE breach!!! Genius!" Playing through is full of deja-vu, you feel like you have played every mission a million and one times over. There's a sneeky stealthy bit, a sniper bit, a bit where you try to escape while shooting from the back of a veichle etc etc etc, it's the same old thing. The graphics are also a step down from Black Ops 2. The multiplayer is the same as ever. I sat playing Modern Warfare 3 online over the weekend and, while playing COD Ghosts online i often forgot it was COD Ghosts, i thought i was playing Modern Warfare 3 still. It also feels odd without Captain Price and the SAS boys, i really miss them. When Ghosts was announced i got super excited thinking Ghost from the Modern Warfae would feauture in it, but sadly not. Instead they took the Ghosts theme, added a dog named Riley after Gaz and Ghost from the Modern Warfare series, reworked the story of Modern Warfare 2, then try to charge us £40 to £60 for it.     It is the same old story with arcade military shooters which seem to attract mostly the 12 year olds (or people with a brain of a little kid). Military arcade FPS have nothing really new to provide they are made just for "cash cows".     Single Campaign has some interesting missions and environments fortunately (like fighting in space and underwater) but the whole story experience is full with cliches that we have seen a million times with other COD games it is like watching and starring in some military fantasy B-movie military I have not tried multiplayer yet but seriously i am not that thrilled with this game i have become bored with the COD games    … Expand
