    I'm not sure how each iteration of COD is worse than its immediate predecessor. It's actually amazing how incompetent Activision is unless their goal is self-sabotage. In that case I would say they are the best.

    Over-saturation.

    I wonder how many more milking attempts this terrible franchise has left before it is discarded by those suits up top?

    This game will definitely have 10/10 in 2007 or even in 2008. To think it is not bad game, but there some serious questions:
    1) What does 60Gb of game contain?!? Seriously, 15 Gb is maximum for such game.
    2) There is nothing new in this game. Dog? Oh, cmon. 3) It is laggy and buggy 4) Nextgen graphics looks awful and doesn't worth.     critics are full of crap in this one. nice one ign. 9/10. because the call of duty game-play still remains in this game and i have to say - i like the call of duty game-play - it's fast, relies on reflex and also i like the perks. - it's going to place a little bit better but anyway - this game... abomination.

    Activision is the master of CTRL+V and their yearly copies of COD sure does amuse the 12 year old kid's. Just stop making COD, sure it generates the company easy money cause dumbass kids keep buying them but JUST STOP PLEASE. COD 4 and i mean Modern warfare 1 for the noob kids who didn't know COD started from WWII.

    -Game is running low fps, while my pc runs bf4 on 90 very high
    -30+GB Needed to install????
    -Single player is not great!
    -Not listening to the community / patching
    -Health is i bit to low, could be a bit higer
    -No UAV on party game modes, oh wait it only has gun game...

    This is just a game that doesn't deserve higher than a 2...
    I hope Treyarch will make a great new game and safe COD, if they won't then cod is just dead!    … Expand

    Call Of Duty Ghosts has an amazing single player, an excellent multiplayer and a very important addition to Call Of Duty series. I really do not understand why the negative reviews this game, I believe that children are adults who want to look and Battlefield fanboys. And the best versions of this game certainly is on PlayStation 3,PlayStation 4 and WiiU.

    A Activision e a IW simplesmente fizeram qualquer merda e mandaram para os pc gamers, jogo pesado, totalmente mal optimizado, gráficos do mw2, texturas terríveis para os requisitos do jogo, esse jogo que dizia ter uma engine nova, melhorada, muito boa, na verdade, foi só marketing, vai tomar no ¬¬ IW, ate trocarem de engine e fizerem uma coisa decente, eu não compro, nem pirata eu pego.

    simplesmente a triste COD foi destruída, lembro quando o jogo e referencia em FPS...pois agora ele a cada edição não evolui e regride...não acompanha a evolução ...triste ver a morte deste grande game :(

    Alright, right off the bat this game is guilty of having the same problems like any other Call of Duty game. It requires little to skill to rack up kills, its not user friendly to beginners, and it has a very short campaign that has a terrible story that makes no sense. The campaign was only 3 HOURS!     Now that I am calming down a bit let me spin you a tale of love, adventure, and ultimate disillusionment.

    Once upon a time I was twelve years old or so and I played a lot of Age of Mythology. Some of my clan mates played the original Call of Duty back before any of the sequels hit the scene.

    One day I was at Walmart with my dad a bit after my birthday. I had some birthday money and I said I wanted to buy a game in the electronics section. When I returned I was holding, in my little innocent hands, the first Call of Duty game. On the cover was some dude with a gun wearing a helmet and some explosions going off and stuff. My dad thought about it for a second and shrugged, "I guess you're old enough now".

    And so it began. It was my first FPS game and I was hooked quickly. I fondly remember hanging out in Pavlov's House with my Mosin-Nagant and lancing down the advancing enemy Nazis. Actually I liked even more to hang out in that little building to the side of Pavlov's House that no one ever goes in. I had a stealthy play-style and I liked to go around the back of my enemies and shoot them up without them knowing where I was. Those were the days...

    Next came Call of Duty United Offensive, one of only two CoD games since the first that was actually innovative.

    Then CoD2. Better graphics, same great gameplay, good maps. Not very innovative but nonetheless a good update to the series.

    CoD3??? That was a thing?

    Then came Modern Warfare. I liked the first MW game quite a bit. It still felt pretty tactical to me. It was a fairly good translation of classic CoD gameplay to a modern setting. Unfortunately this game somehow attracted a lot of very annoying players.

    MW2, An OK game. I never bought it, but my roommate had it and we played some. This was the first CoD game I played that I didn't feel compelled to buy. It seemed like they had struck a pretty good formula in MW1 and then sat down and thought, "well crap, what do we do to make another game now? I guess we just have to keep adding crap" and that made MW2 a sort of bloated version of MW1 with its super annoying killstreak bonus system. The maps also got tighter and my stealthy play-style wasn't as rewarding.

    I got MW3 for Christmas just a couple of years ago when I was 19 I suppose. I played it for 2 or 3 hours and have not played it since. What made it suck so much worse than MW2, which was already really not that great, was the further shift in style towards a fast paced twitch shooter where everyone just runs in each others faces and trades kills. The multiplayer experience had no depth whatsoever. It was dumb. I went back to playing Reach and MW1 on the same day.

    Now Ghosts... Ghosts takes this trend and continues it and I have to believe it is the conclusion of this downward spiral because as far as I'm concerned it can't get much worse. It's just people jumping on each other while holding guns. It's obnoxious.

    (I know I technically missed mentioning like 5 other CoD games too)

    I haven't even talked about campaign but it was actually pretty good in the first two games. The story was WW2 history, can't really go wrong there, and gameplay was pretty exciting. MW1 was where that ended. Like I said I liked MW1 but the campaign was dumb and it hasn't gotten better in subsequent games.

    Positively the last CoD game I will buy. What a waste. There is nothing new here since Black Ops 2 disappointed me. I still go back to the original Black ops as the pick of the litter.

    this singular mode quite OK! However, the bad graphics and the high requirement of the hardware ruins the game. Also, the multiplayer mode give me a boring experiment. This game doesn't worth it. Stop to waster your time on playing this game!

    Miserable.

    The most miserable game in the series, and the most miserable PC port in the series.
    The game can barely be run on a decent PC machine, constant stuttering, probably because of the complex fly and fish AI. Pathetic game, not even worth buying for 1$ in a humble bundle.

Find something better! Luckily i was able to get this game at a lowered price so i feel bad for those who paid the full price. Even with the recent updates the game will still stutter and freeze at times where you need to be getting a constant frame rate (i.e. shooting at an enemy which for me and a lot of others the game will stutter right as you start shooting at another player). Yes they added an FOV slider but it only goes up to 80 which again is a joke. I again urge to find a better game to spend your money one. Stop giving Activision your hard earned cash!… Expand

    I honestly don't understand what goes through your mind when you buy a COD game. "Oh - it will be innovative.", "Oh, it's the only FPS that does what it does"

    If you want an actual FPS get Counter Strike: GO on PC or Battlefield: Bad Company 2/Battlefield 4.

    Zum Schluß kann ich nur sagen Gott sei Dank gibt es nun Familiesharing auf Steam und ich habe mir nicht kaufen müssen.

    PS.: Habe den Multiplayer nicht gespielt aber ich wage zu bezweifeln das er besser ist als der von CoDMW3    … Expand

Call of Duty: Ghosts isn't just a crap excuse for a Call of Duty game, its a crap excuse for a video game in general. And I'm not just hating on it out of blind, unjustified hatred, I'm hating on it as a fan of video games that is sick of seeing this series destroy the gaming industry. This game is using the same engine from Modern Warfare 2/3. The graphics still look like early Xbox 360/ps3 game from 2008. There aren't even dynamic lighting effects! This would be fine in an early ps2 game from 2001, but this is 2013. This is inexcusable for a "New Gen" game (using that term, VERY loosely.") The gameplay can be whittled down to a checklist of features we have grown to expect from Call of duty games post MW2. Short, linear, and haphazardly thrown together single player campaign with a poorly written, rehashed and generic story and no character development? Check . Multiplayer filled with hackers, lag and the same respawning problems that have plagued the series since Black ops? Check. Multiplayer maps and lobbies that aren't conducive to the style that online FPS games should be played in (I.E. Campers, jerks and little kids that shouldn't be playing M rated games?) check and check. A severe lack of innovation outside of one or two new game modes, and different weapons. uh check. A game poorly optimized for pc with no fov slider and fps cap, clearly ported as an afterthought by a company that doesn't care about pc gamers. Mother flippin' check! When the biggest innovation in your game is being able to play as a woman (something that could have and should have been added 4 games ago) its time to rethink your development techniques. And to think that i had so much hope for this franchise after modern warfare, to think that I thought that this would be the go to franchise for innovation in the often stale genre of shooters for years to come. Call of Duty is like a metal band that gets a cult following in the L.A underground scene, then as soon as they get a recording contract start putting out mainstream pop songs for $. And will call of duty ever change? Hell no, because they can keep milking this cash cow with minimum effort as long as people have horrible taste in video games. What happened to the old call of duty? Where is the robust single player campaign with bold set pieces and likable, developed characters? Now what do we get? A doge? Wow. Such great, many campaign much camping. I would say don't play this game, instead play Battlefield or halo or (enter name of x shooter here) but the fact is that they're all just copy and paste, cash ins on a franchise name with lackluster single player campaigns expecting the multiplayer to carry them . If you want to play a fun shooter with some innovation, start a new character on Fallout 3, or try splinter cell blacklist, Hell even gears of war would be better than this crap. The gaming industry needs less greedy, lazy franchises like this and more games with creativity and imagination like Rayman origins/legends, Muramasa: The demon blade and ni no kuni. This game only gets a 1 in my book because its functional (most of the time) otherwise it would be a zero. Bottom line, don't waste your money on the same mediocre game as the last 4 installments.… Expand

    Multiplayer is very laggy, the game just feels badly coded a big disappointment. I waited for the updates and I truly think they made the game even more unplayable. Playing from Asia (Hong Kong) where I now stay is impossible even with the most badass internet connection the game is just to dam laggy and for $59 you know I'm pretty pissed.

    This is one of the worst games ever created in the history of man-kind. I would suggest Battlefield 4 or counterstrike as an alternative. This game doesn't even deserve a 0.

    I would like to review game but I couldn't even get it to start. It crashes after the long loading process every time. And of course they always tell you it is not their game but your system that is at fault.

    The graphic are maybe not as good as BO2 but not too bad. A little lesser.

    The rest of the game is very nice. The gameplay is as good as BO2 and MW3. New maps, new perks, new guns, new killstreak. Everything work well, bugless almost.

    The sound is very good like for the past cod.

I enjoyed the space levels the most. I brought it on sale deliberately waiting this time.     COD Ghosts is exactly how the other reviews state. It is another COD game with refurbished graphics and the same controls. The kill streaks are what you expect them to be. The maps are much larger this time and have vastly more detail than the previous versions. I do have to say that the leveling system seems a bit sluggish even compared to F2P games.     Played for 15 minutes and go bored.

    Decided to play Betafield 4 instead.

    That crashed on my 2nd game.

    Went outside and enjoyed the fresh air.

    They are trying too dam hard to be like battlefield. i have a GTX Titan and i get under 45 frames on certain levels. When i get under 45 frames in battlefield 4 its when i'm seeing the entire map with explosions going off and high resolution trees falling and destroying buildings. BUT NO, IN COD i get under 45 frames staring at a poorly textured tree!!

    Anyways,the game is just the BEST Call of Duty to date.It has alot of new features like Create a Soldier,you can be a girl,new knife animation so kniferunners would be gone,no deathstreaks,no OP weapons(every weapon kills you in seconds),no pro perks,new sights like the VMR Sight,the Tracker Sight or the improved Thermal Sight,new barrel attachments like the Flash Suppressor(I don't think you remember the Flash Hider from WaW,it works exactly the same) and the Muzzle Brake,now you can't carry a grenade simultaneously with a grenade launcher or masterkey,you can remove the grenade,special grenade,secondary or replace your primary with a combat knife for bonus perks,the graphics,well,they look dull a bit but they look realistic,like our world isn't made of plastic and so on.
    But for you guys that have migraines from too low or too high Field of View,i recommend you the Field of View changer that was approved by Activision,or if your game is too laggy,to find and change some config_mp.cfg/config.cfg settings and it will work just fine

    3)No decision making.. This has been my complain since long time.. Modern games (especially post 2008) has started giving an option to take your decisions & that would change the result & rewards of the game but there is no such thing in COD

    4) Can't built my own weapon in single player: there is no option to attach a single thing on my weapon. The only option to get what you desire is to find a desired weapon with desired attachment. & what are the odds of that ?

    5) the only 1 point I give to this game is because of cinematic kills in few missions which looks really good. but again If I want to see such cinematic's, I would watch some good movie for substantially lower cost

    6) Not much new In the multi-player section as well..

I'll get to why I gave it a 5 out of 10 soon enough, so just bear with me.

    I have been an avid COD player since before Modern Warfare came out and changed the way developers looked at First-Person-Shooters. Ever since COD:4, however, I have seen the trend with each new expansion to COD's best game ever, every year. Although they have added new mechanics, guns, and overall content with each new game (And then took it away every developer switch) they have yet to make anything but the same thing over and over again, and Ghosts is no exception.

    Some of the new features, such as Squad Points and Extinction Mode, are neat and brought a tiny bit of life into the game, just enough for people to shell out their hard-earned $60 for the "game". The graphics aren't much of an improvement from Black Ops II, and can even look like a step back from the right angle. Aside from some unbalanced guns and some other useless kill-streaks, COD:Ghosts managed to do what I thought was impossible, continue to make money AND further destroy what was once an amazing series. The proof is in the overwhelming negative reviews from players and even critics.

    On a side note, for being in the future the games sure does a good job of making me feel like I'm back around the time of Black Ops I. With Hueys and modern scout helicopters flying around, I can't tell if we're in the time of the Vietnam War or in 2013. It gets even more confusing when people bring out the higher-end kill-streaks, which place you in command of a support or ground attack satellite. I can't imagine it would have taken much to, at the very least, include an Osprey kill-streak or something that looks somewhat more futuristic. I understand the plot of the Single-Player campaign, however that isn't an excuse to dumb down the technology in the online MP.

    Now, to my reason why I gave this game 5 out of 10. My reason for doing this, is that although the game may be not great overall, it pretty much gave me exactly what I was expecting. I never expected a better addition to the ongoing list of expansions, and I haven't for the last three COD "games". Black Ops II was a little surprise for me as I thought it was going to be worse than it actually was, however this game didn't fail to meet my low expectations: Stale and overused gameplay, more unbalancing in MP, and same or worse graphics. Although I say these things, the game can be fun when played with friends. Although the gameplay is by far stale and repetitive, I can say for sure that the new modes are fun and can somehwhat make up for the same game modes we've seen before. Overall, it's not as bad of a game as everyone says it is, however it certainly isn't something that Infinity Ward will ever be bragging about.

    If you're looking for something new and exciting, I would recommend Battlefield 4 if you don't mind some server issues. If you're playing on the PC and just want to have fun with friends, I would recommend Sanctum 2 or Dungeon Defenders instead of COD:Ghosts.

On top of that I cannot believe how many cut scenes and animations there were in the game that literally got copy & pasted from MW2 & MW3. I have been saying it for years, Infinity Ward is dead. Activision needs to let Treyarch take on as full time lead developer, then let SledgehammerAfter playing threw both the Xbox 360 & Xbox One versions of the game... I am simply not impressed.     It's call of duty, so what can you expect from Infinity Ward, they make games too gud. It's so moch like the last one, but i like to pay 60 dollars, cause if u werk for 7 1/2 hours in mickey D's, you can get this game. Call of dooty too gud, a must have. Can't wait for the sequel.

But, after a month i couldn't use a sniper scope without getting frame rate drops to 5-10 fps from 60 fps. I have made inquiries to Activision but, to no avail. They still have not lived up to their better Modern Warfare 1&2.     Most people talk about graphics and technical things like that for a game, for me, I like to think about Game play. The single player was fun but really short( finished in one session) so no points there as it it did not have that want more feeling like other games.     The one reason I'm giving it more than 0 is the alien mode, witch is not so much super fun as a break from badly textured zombies.

    Worst game I've ever paid over 60$ on PC. I am not going to consider game with old versions but how can a multiplayer game doesnt show latency? I just buy the game so I could have a high-end multiplayer game but this is just not it.

And I play on PC so the Xcrap controls really muck it up and have since inception. Bout time we get sick of the same ole same ole. Mark Rubin pack your bags, we done with this.

    The spawn engine is absolutely terrible. The graphics are completely outdated compared to "other" titles. Resource usage is insane which is to be expected from a production line franchise. Infinity Ward brought me into the CoD Franchise and forced me to leave with this pile of crap. Thank you for curing the addiction.

This however turned out to be terrible to as it didn't contain a lot of content and became boring seeing the same enemy 50 times every wave. It seems Activision didn't put a lot of time into this and wanted it out before the fanboys got too hectic. Maybe further updates can resolve these problems but for now, I recommend you don't buy it.… Expand

I'll be honest i haven't liked a call of duty game in a long time but playing this on the pc really pissed me off. it's average on the ps3 with the story line copy and pasted from a past cod game.     This has to be a all time low for IW.
    messed with settings for 70 hours of multi-player.
    The game would run 75-90 fps max
    but feel like 8-10 fps.
    I have removed this trash from my PC.

    This game is a clone to all the other modern warfare games. The PC version is practically unplayable due to the amount of bugs and almost non existent optimisation. The singleplayer story made me question humanity as a species because of how stupid it is. Dont buy this game unless you want to torture somebody.
