    I used to play a lot of CoD as a kid, but got pretty bored of playing the same game after MW2. I got back into it with Black Ops 2, and enjoyed it very much! After Treyarch rekindled my love of CoD, I preordered Ghosts, and I'm glad to say: Its an unplayable piece of trash, so buggy it numbs the mind, nothing new at all, and the new engine actually might look worse than the old one. GodI used to play a lot of CoD as a kid, but got pretty bored of playing the same game after MW2. I got back into it with Black Ops 2, and enjoyed it very much!     Don't listen to the reviewers saying its what people wanted.. If it was what people wanted the user score wouldn't be so low.. Its a horrific port that lags high end hardware and offers nothing to justify that because it looks about as good as Black ops 2 if not WORSE... Its still the exact same formula full of horrible community members.. All around its really really bad.. Don't buyDon't listen to the reviewers saying its what people wanted..     Mark Rubin has single-handedly ruined the CoD franchise. Paying no attention to the gaming community and arrogantly made CoD in his own image, the game now feels like running around on a grave yard of past grandeur. Most of the "alternative" game modes are now gone, probably because he didn't like them, i.e. Demolition, Sabotage, etc. It's only S&R (Search and Rescue) TDM and FFA left,Mark Rubin has single-handedly ruined the CoD franchise. Paying no attention to the gaming community and arrogantly made CoD in his own image, the game now feels like running around on a grave yard of past grandeur. Most of the "alternative" game modes are now gone, probably because he didn't like them, i.e. Demolition, Sabotage, etc. It's only S&R (Search and Rescue) TDM and FFA left, dumbing down the game play further. And since he don't have any friends or understand the concept of communities, he don't see the value of dedicated servers either, so he removed them too. And because his track record speaks for itself, (he's quite dim), 18 players was a bit too much to handle, so he capped it at 12 and 8 for most of the maps. The rather small number of concurrent players makes the gaming experience just dull. You always feel like you're on a half-empty server, always wondering where the action "really" is.

    The low FOV makes you feel like you are wearing dive mask or something, again probably how a very narrow minded person perceives the world, so for him, it looks perfectly normal.

    So what you thought was impossible in 2007, namely destroying the Call of Duty franchise, Mark Rubin did. He'll go down in history as the man who single-handedly destroyed one of the worlds strongest brands in less than a decade. How embarrassing.     What a piece of I regret buying this on PC, They have truly let down the PC community with this game, its another terrible console port with the poorest optimization i have ever seen, you cannot even change the field of view and the default fov is 65!!     I'm not going to just rant, I'll give a breakdown of why CoD: Ghosts is the absolute worst game of the franchise.

    1) Graphics While improved compared to previous installments, the "new engine" used is actually an old one that's been around for quite some time. It's just "new" to CoD. But that's just the    I'm not going to just rant, I'll give a breakdown of why CoD: Ghosts is the absolute worst game of the franchise.

    1) Graphics While improved compared to previous installments, the "new engine" used is actually an old one that's been around for quite some time. It's just "new" to CoD. Compared to other recent games, such as BF4, it's nowhere near cutting edge. But that's just the "prettiness" factor, not to mention all the bugs and anomalies. Random jumping and "pausing" occurs even on the highest end machines regardless of video settings. So horrible in fact, the menu screens are sluggish to react and appear jumpy.

    2) Field of View(FOV) Currently locked at 65 degrees. What a horse would see with blinders on. Think about that, you can't see players coming at you just 32.5 degrees off to either side of your screen. 90 is considered minimum playable by most gamers, 120 being more realistic and optimal.

    3) Sound Just one bar for volume. No ability to adjust SFX, in game CoD caster, nothing. It makes the already questionable positional audio more difficult to hear and every sound just kinda mushes together. Even with the best surround headsets audible cues are difficult to make out, especially footsteps.

    4) Poor netcode Ghosts doesn't allow you to see your ping or even bars to see what kind of connection you have. The severe lag and warping around will constantly have your jaw dropping just trying to figure out what happened. Quite often you'll find yourself dead on the ground, seemingly instagibbed, before even a shot is fired. But watch the killcam and you'll see the other player unloading half a clip on you. Unexplainable and inexcusable coding.

    5) Weapon balancing and hitboxes It's likely the poor netcode overlapping this issue, but it almost seems like weapon choice and attachments simply doesn't matter as long as you can minimize recoil. Even so, you'll wonder just how you died or "how the did that hit!?" Snipers are the only weapon I've found to be fairly consistent, but the way it's been designed......it caters to the quick scope players. The same players IW and 3arc have stated snipers are not supposed to work that way. It's a common loadout for cheaters and horrible players that even put red dot stickers on their monitors to indicate center aim.

    6) Maps The worst designed maps in the history of CoD. Some are far too large for a simple 6v6. Every last one has such a multitude of angles to fire from it's impossible to cover your 6. Choke points are non-existent. Combine that with the low FOV and you'll find that most deaths you'll never see, or hear, coming. There is no equivalent of "Nuketown", no map with the exception of 1 that would make for good sniper play. Pick up a high powered SMG and you're good to go. Assault rifles would be good for many maps as well....assuming you're not the run and gun type and tend to camp more.

    There you have it. There are many more smaller issues to contend with but these are the big ones. Overall the worst CoD in franchise history. If you haven't purchased the game yet, don't. If you already have it and are disappointed, return it or file a chargeback with your credit card company to get a refund.     The multiplayer part is completely ruined by the so called lag compensation, which shall make you lag in every "server" (btw, there are NO dedicated servers), even if you have a top-notch connection.

    Well we had the vastly superior Battlefield 4 last week, this wek see's the limping dead horse back for yet another flogging... So whats new?? well the optimist in me was literally begging for COD game to get us back to the PRE-MW & BOPS crap... guess what? I was once again facepalming at how terrible this series is becoming. The Graphics are a very nice, but nothing special by PCWell we had the vastly superior Battlefield 4 last week, this wek see's the limping dead horse back for yet another flogging...     Apart from that, the usual issues people have with CoD (how it's basically the same gameplay-wise as the last game) still holds true, but this time, it's actually worse than the previous iteration. I woefully regret my purchase and would not recommend this to anyone. It's a poor 360 port and it shows.

    To be completely honest, this feels like a cheap f2p game rather than something you ask 60 euros for. In fact, many f2p games ARE better than this turd. Stay clear.    … Expand

    AI i have filling that they wanted to create a feeling that there are soldiers on your team and not all enemy's focus on u (thou tanks have only one aim kill you which is plain stupid but this resulted in enemy's not wanting to kill you. Graphics well games are not about graphic but this title have nothing else so i will say few words about it. It s not bad dynamic lighting looks awesome. Some other effects are pretty cool to can't complain but then comes the textures i recently played HL2 and textures were i want say better but more appealing.(almost 10 years of "progress"). fixing FOV at 65 why do that i can not find any justification for that. I played game on the best settings i were i can not imagine how it looks on lower settings.
    MP well it's pretty much average COD MP. I really enjoy maps they are good. but why 6 people not 8 it would be better since maps seams a bit to big for 12 players only. lvl system is pretty descent maybe there is too much sprayers thou well its cod after all.

    i'd probably give mp a try and play it more. But definitely not coming back to SP.

    Why two days passed and nobody addressed disappointed players no patches, instead we here about how good game sales and that they sued people who actually tried to fix the game developers should be ashamed forcing 6 gb ram (well i don't care i have 16 but why not let people play your game )
    also i got the feeling that it;s not final product. And i had a lot of issues trying to lunch this game due to some language error not allowing me to play English i was force to play in my mother tongue and the translation is stupid) Im sorry i spend my money on this title Next time give me good COD (and i will w8 for players reviews) or this series is dead for me    … Expand

    The maps may not be everyone's cup of tea, but i enjoy around half of them. And those are the ones that i will continue playing.. Enjoying the game a lot so far after 2 days and around 13-15 hours game time..

One of the best indicators of a lousy PC-port is the menus, and with the sound menu being, and I ye not, "VOLUME" That's it. A general volume slider. It's horrendous. Can't speak much of the general gameplay or maps because I wont waste more time of my life on this Lady Gaga-game. Framedrops and stutters all over, doesn't even matter what PC your on. Please, please stay away from this game. At least on PC. Worst PC-port ever made.… Expand

    The Multiplayer is always the same as in other CoD Titles it´s like you buying a 59$ DLC for your Call of Duty 4 .

    6 Gb RAM in requirements is also a problem i saw better graphics with less RAm ^^

    First impressions. The singleplayer was varied, quite fast paced, unrealistic and "arcadey". More stealth than in MW3, which is good, because running and gunning is not fun (looking at you BF4 and MW3). The plot is confusing at first, but sort of makes sense after some mission. Although the space combat makes NO sense, although, it's in space, so that doesn't matter. FIIIIIIIIISH areFirst impressions. The singleplayer was varied, quite fast paced, unrealistic and "arcadey". Although the space combat makes NO sense, although, it's in space, so that doesn't matter. FIIIIIIIIISH are there, they move about. Sharks eat you, beware, they don't move away. You're in a attack chopper once, which gives out lots of explosions and stuff. You're also a dog sometimes, but really not that much, doesn't matter. The ending is weird, confusing, wat. Hey, lets not forget, they should've EASILY seen him or even heard him.

    Overall thoughts of singleplayer; Over average CoD style.

    Lets not forget the other stuff as well. Extinction is quite fun and can be expanded a bit if they want to. Other than that it's more or less taken inspirations from almost everything. The challenges you get are solid and not exactly easy from what I've seen. The artstyle of the aliens is surprisingly good, unexpected by someone that has copied and pasted stuff for the last 6 years. Credit to IW for that, unless that's also copied, then credit to those who made it originally. The mode becomes chaotic on singleplayer and I assume it becomes a lot better co-op. At least, it's a new fresh thing and will hopefully not be cursed by the easter egg thing that has zombies up completely.

    Now to multiplayer. You get your 5 soldiers off the start, they don't cost that much, then you could spend a lot of time on the others. The new unlock system is nice, it removes the need of being at a specific level (but still requires you to play to unlock stuff). The operations is also a nice twist to the regular challenges from the last 6 or so games. I would still wish that you could unlock attachments and weapons and other stuff by using the specific weapon, instead of being forced to use the squad points. The customization of soldiers is all a waste of time, because REMEMBER WHAT YOU ACTUALLY SEE WHEN PLAYING. Yes, you remembered it, only your arms, not even your legs. The only "major" difference is you can be a fake or a real Which would make a minor difference in shoutouts and stuff.

    Now over to gameplay. Since this is PC we're talking about, we also have to talk about PC related issues. As everyone knows, their engine is pretty much based on the terrible IW5 engine. Should've been based on the lovely IW4 engine, which actually worked properly. And with the IW5 engine comes IW5 related issues, at least for me and probably a few others. Being picky on this kind of stuff so "bear" with me. The difference between 50FPS and 90FPS is close to none. 1% of the time you actually have a smooth running game, but the rest of it, it will just have laggy animations. No matter what FPS, resolution or other settings. Needs some quick and good optimization, BO2 didn't need any extra optimization when it launched. Mouse stutter/jumping/lag is still a major issue every 10 seconds or so. The netcode seems to be affecting the FPS a lot more than what it did, which is not good.

    Away from PC related issues over to gameplay related issues. The maps are terrible, overly complex. You can get killed from any direction at any point in every map. There's no linear way of playing the maps. Feels also like every time I run/walk around, I either get killed from behind or the 2 other directions that I can't keep control over at the same time, or I run into some enemy 5 feet away from me, which results in whoever got the better ping or the most FPS or the least stutter lag, gets the kill. The sniper "multilayered" scope would actually be nice if it actually did a smooth transition every time, or that it didn't half my FPS every time I used it. They've realized that the crosshair on a sniper is useless, so they've removed it, which seems to have revoked my horrible skills at quickscoping, but if someone puts the crosshair back in some or other way, it's actually worse than before. The snipers are ridiculously powerful and accurate. All the guns seems balanced enough, or rather, overpowered enough, haven't seen anything ridiculously overpowered yet, other than the snipers. Also, when you kill someone or you get killed, you won't get the playercard popping up, which is annoying because i want to clearly see who i killed or who killed you. You have to wait for the killcam, which I always skip.

    Tl;dr, good singleplayer game, not a good multiplayer game, really laggy, lots of reoccurring issues from MW3, a game that had big potential to compete with MW2.    … Expand

    Been playing COD since VCOD and I gotta say Ghosts is a slap in the face to the PC community. Is it 100% a terrible muliplayer experience for any PC gamer.

    The graphics are horrible they look old and dated. This game on PC has a console feel to it and outta all the CODS this one takes the cake of the feel.     Overall game play has a cheap feel to it and I must say this has to be the worst COD on PC to date.
    When looking at the player models running around it looks so much of what you would see on a console.

    I was also very disappointed with the "customize your soldier", I was expecting something along the lines of rainbow six ,but it was more like GTA 4's customization options; barely anything to choose from.
    My major complaint though is the removal of Search and Destroy from pub games, I used to love playing Search and Destroy with my team, now its been replaced by this stupid search and kill confirm game type.
    The series sure went down hill after they fired West and Zampella. MW2 was a masterpiece, after that, it was the same call of duty trash. The series has officially died for me. Time to move on. Looking forward to Titan fall, which IMO is the true successor to MW2.    … Expand

    Horrible PC port there is literally 0 optimization done on the game. People who have SLI/Crossfire get the same FPS if they were running 1 card. There's also incredible micro-stutter if you have more than 1 card active.
    Absolutely terrible net code, it feels like MW3 but it's so much worse.
    Weapons kill you in an absolute heartbeat, it feels like I'm playing hardcore while playing core. (I don't want to imagine how terrible hardcore is.)
    Level design is absolutely terrible you're always being constantly thrown into peoples faces. What ever happened to sight lines and amazing level design from the CoD4 & MW2 dev team? OH WAIT, the developers of InfinityWard that made MW2 & COD4 are actually gone and working on Titanfall at Respawn Entertainment.
    InfinityWard is just a big shadow of its former self, all it has is a title. Nothing more, nothing less.
    There is no support for PC the game is so limited in functionality it's depressing. There is no FoV slider, FPS setting, proper dedicated servers, mod tools, and finally support. Literally none of the developers of IW/Neversoft/Sledgehammer care about PC.
    Multiplayer feels like you're playing on steroids while running around and getting shot in the back thanks to the terrible spawn system (and very terrible map design).
    Modders could create better balanced maps than the level designers and in a fraction of the time that they had.

    In-truth this game deserves an honest 0 by everyone, you can see it for yourself the user scores are the truth. Don't buy this game, get Battlefield 4.

    There is alot of lag, in multiplayer.. ..so quite abit of immersion kill.. even if your rig is well spec'ed not everyone else would be.. so try shooting someone who glitches not quite so fun.. like as if they appear out thin air.. probably where the title got its name??!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is the latest installment of the call of duty series, it has a new engine that is beautiful but in the same time odd. I was impressed by the particle effects (from the grenades etc) but what disappointed me was the story. It was weak, I didn't feel like it was something to me. It didn't feel I cared about anyone in the "Ghosts". In the beginning when you are being dragged to the car you can remember that animation from MW2 ending which is a CTRL C CTRL V like. Graphics overall is a 7/10 for me since it's unoptimized as The single-player as I said was weak, I would give it a 5/10. There was one scene when Logan and Hesh's father showed who he really was. Then Hesh said "Wait you are from the ghosts" in a stupid, horrific bad way. So I can say that the voice acting is a bit i'll give it a 6/10.
    Multiplayer is, of course the same thing every time. Just with new weapons, maps, AND SPAWNS that will literary piss you off so much the same way I have done the last two days...
    Conclusion: The game does not deserve its price tag at 59.99 Euros. It's not worth the money and wait till it's on sale if you want it. This is a big disappointment as the trailer looked good. Avoid the game until sales. I am giving this game a 4/10 because of some good improvements but still negative sides win.    … Expand

    activision continues to copy&paste former games and delivers the same boring stuff in the years before.
    not sure why i spent my money again with good hopes that it will turn out good, but i got disappointed for the last time, thats for sure. never again call of duty!

I believe the reason you hate it is because you think it is ruining the gaming industry when it is just its own game series that has done nothing wrong (Out side of their series) its the developers trying to make their games like Call Of Duty that are ruining their own games and their own series to try and win over some of the Call Of Duty players when I think that if they did something different that Call Of Duty this might bring them over as its not just more Call Of Duty. So don't blame Call of Duty for your game series going to (Halo4 my opinion) blame the ones trying to make it like Call Of Duty.

    Give this game a try you might surprise yourself they did a good job this time round.

    I wish I could give a better score, but since I've been locked away from the multiplayer due to not meeting the RAM specifications, even though my pc can run it smoothly, I think a game that makes me throw away my money is a game that doesn't deserve much.

This is a good thing, since making a class with 9 perks and a knife, or 7 perks and a sniper with 2 attachments is well beyond the scope of the game, and the FPS genre. (take a hint here, Treyarch). One important thing that I noticed while playing: the FOV is very low, severely limiting spotting abilities on your sides, as well as in the distance.
    In terms of performance, the game is pretty average. I would've liked to see a more linear connection between performance hit and graphical improvement, and many others will agree on that. Still, I see Ghosts as a welcome addition to the series, and should capture the hearts of many games once again, that stopped caring after MW2 (like myself.     This game is complete You literally can't play the game without 6gb of RAM. If you try an error comes up saying there's been a fatal error, even though the game only needs 2gb of RAM when its settings are maxed out. I will not be giving this game a good review unless they patch that artificial RAM requirement. I only get to play the singleplayer and that's only because someone cracked it.

    The graphics definitely became better than previous CoDs. Some missions are purely amazing (especially underwater one), but some of them are absolutely boring. Bottom line, single-player campaign is more interesting than in BF4 for sure.

It's just like any of the other modern warfare series of games. Treyarch really stepped up with blops 1 and then again with blops 2. And yet these idiots at Infinity Ward just screw it all up and take 10 steps back from what Treyarch was doing with PC CoD.
    I'm so disappointed after only 3 hours of playing I have no desire to pick this game up again. Everything that was good about Infinity Ward is now over at Respawn making Titanfall anyways. Maybe they will blow CoD away and people will look back and remember this series that took advantage of so many players. How they promised the world and barely gave us anything when it came time to deliver. CoD is officially a two year title for me from now on as long as Infinity Ward keeps bring this crap in the off season. Well looks like I spent $60 for a campaign game I will stick to battlefield from now on lesson learned on this release. Oh and the graphics are terrible.. Your pistol looks ridiculous.     - Lots of freezes and crashes. Some are recoverable crashes to desktop, others are BSOD and reboot the computer.

    -FPS cap'd at 91fps

    -6gb ram requirement even though it uses less than 2gb of system ram

    -Memory leaks everywhere

    We have been dooped again from I W. The players still wobble when they run, graphics on highest setting is awe-ful. Has the feeling of the old game with a new map. The physics are crap too. Im pretty sure I will never own another piece of call of duty anything. I am tired of them getting rich off of people like me who work hard and end up with a rummage sale item.

In the meantime there are 3rd party fixes like the fovely FOV changer which allows you to change the FOV in multiplayer.     the net code is broken: death is very quick compared to killcam,
    weapons' damage way too high,
    leveling up way too slow,
    Maps way too big and does not follow traditional 3 lanes,
    and of course all the PC bugs and errors including freezes and crashes,
    SLI results in attachment and environment flashes etc
    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!

    Absolutely horrid game. Graphics are essentially the same as any previous CoD from the past 4 years besides a few upgrades, AI is still horrible, animations are better. Definitely not worth anywhere near even $5.

    Fish AI? We already have that in MARIO 64... Dogs AI? We already have that in Shadow Dancer...
    So whats the point of buy this game again? none... just another Generic FPS.
    Save your money, this title its worthless

    One of the best games and the best shooter game this generation. Very action packed, great visuals on ultra, especially in 3D, interesting campaign (much better then BF4), the dog is real deal and very fun to watch, many memorable moments and great shooter mechanics. What else to say? Masterpiece. Too bad so many people have computers, hence so many negative reviews. I highly recommendOne of the best games and the best shooter game this generation.     A step backwards from Black Ops 2. Graphics are awful and with a very lower framerate than expected. Hell, I'm getting more frames in BF4 than this game. The port is terrible with bugs from MW3 still. The sound effects seems like a copy paste from MW3 too. Don't buy this crash grab game, stay far away from it.

    If this is supposed to represent the next-gen Call of Duty, it fails miserably, it is once again another Modern Warfare 3 ctrl+c, ctrl+v with more game modes to justify being new.

The animations are awful Grenades are thrown by magically puking them out of your face and waving aimlessly in front of you afterwards. Character movement look like something from the first iteration of the source engine... everything seems out of place. The sound effects are borderline hilarious. Silencers sound like a mix between a laser gun from star wars and the classic james bond pistol. Btw explosions are sad, very sad.
    Read this out loud: "POOF!" I guarantee that sounds better than anything in game.

    I knew the graphics weren't going to be really any better...I was ok with that...but they actually got worse....much worse. I cranked everything up on high and the game looked like garbage and ran terribly. I hope this is a reality check to the CoD franchise. This game is trash and they should be embarassed by their game.
