    First of all I want to say that I only played campaign and I found it pretty great, to be honest one of the most interesting stories I've ever played. Definitely not any worse then last CODs.

    Also they've had improved a lot over last COD(And I played them all), but I can't say that it's next gen, just an decent update to last CODs engine.     Not counting, money grabbing and lying publisher, Infinity Ward did a great job on this one. Definitely recommending.

    To children you are ruining only metacritic. If you don't like the game, then vote with your wallet(parents wallet).

    Game is not even out yet on PS4 and tons of 0.

    I think that Metacritic should learn from youtube and create like and dislike buttons. Results are too extreme, because children don't know how to create a score.    … Expand

    I decided not to pre-order this game for so long, due to no information being given around the server system on the pc.

    When the release day came I was like most people all excited to play, but to my utter disappointment the game had so many issues that it was almost impossible to play despite my pc specs being way above anything that a Call Of Duty game could ever require with it's engine.

    The first thing I was greeted by was Blue Screens Of Death as soon as I launched the campaign, multiplayer, squads and extinction modes and I honestly thought there was something wrong with my hardware or drivers, but no it was nothing to do with that as I launched each part of the game again and they launched without a issue.

    However what then greeted me was lag on the menu system, I mean come on how poor does the coding of the game have to be if it is lagging on the menu system so bad, that it takes 10 minutes to change a few graphical options from low to high, and to change a few key bindings.

    I pushed on though and eventually after 30 minutes from initially trying to get in to the game, I was able to get in to my very first game of Call Of Duty Ghosts and oh my what a sight!

    It was so glorious to look at a game that, was released in 2013 and see the same graphical quality of a game that was released in 2002 that I had to sit back and just marvel at the improvements that had been made in 11 years, I mean the details looked like they were made by people in there in there first year of game development school, and I must say here and now I am not a game developer nor do I have the skill, ability or time to develop a game but seeing the likes of the Unreal and Crytek SDK are available I may have to look in to developing a game, since I don't think I could do much worse than this disaster that is called Call Of Duty Ghosts.

    I played my first game though and I stunk really bad, nearly every single bullet I shot at people didn't register. I was left wondering to myself is this another Black Op's 2 where the higher the ping you have the better your experience is, and I thought it cannot be the same we are supposed to be on Dedicated Servers and Infinity Wards net coding is always better than Treyarchs, so I left that game and joined another only to find the same thing happened.

    At this point I played some of the campaign, but thanks to the crashes and the reseting of saves so I had to start the levels all over again each time I completed a level, so I gave up on that and left it alone.

    By this point I was pretty much ready to call it quits on this game, but I though no I have paid good money for this game so lets give it a try.

    I went back on to multiplayer only to be greeted by yet more lag on the menu system, bullets not registering and lag in the multiplayer games themselves, and I thought to myself wtf is going on, why are the servers lagging and then bang "lost connection to host" and I was thrown out of dreamland and in to reality, the game is not using dedicated servers it's using the peer to peer system called IWnet, the lag infested, cheating paradise with no admins to clear the cheaters out.

    I then tried another couple of games to see if it was a mistake or someone was running a hack that allowed them to host games, but no the next couple of days proved we are not on dedicated servers.

    The official call of duty forums for the pc gamers are flooded with reports of cheaters, bugs, requests and all sorts of other things, but the developers seem to not be interested in that or even letting people know they are aware of the issues instead, all you here from them is "xbox this, xbox that"

    At the moment this game is a complete disaster, my pc should be walking all over this game but no it's lagging, stuttering and crashing and with no hope in sight I think this will be the last call of duty game I buy again.

    The game by January will have less players than Black Op's 2 and that had the lowest player count of any call of duty game to date, and Black Op's 2 at this point in it's life had double the pc players that ghosts has now.

    Infinity Ward have not only released a sub par product to the consumers, but they are also not supporting the consumers.

    Infinity Ward stated this game would be the best looking call of duty game to date on the pc, but Modern Warfare 2 looks better. Infinity Ward said the game would use dedicated severs but it's not.

    All I can say is do not contemplate buying this on the pc as it's just unplayable in it's current state!    … Expand

    I like call of Duty, and I like ghosts, but one problem I found was the lack of actual ghost warfare. I would have loved to enter an old mansion with spooky ghosts inside and blast them with machine guns. Normally I feel sad shooting people in these games (even if they are bad guys I still feel weird about it) but if they were ghosts I wouldn't mind really. I do like having the dogI like call of Duty, and I like ghosts, but one problem I found was the lack of actual ghost warfare. The amazing new gameplay such as dogs... are amazing. People complain that this game is not optimized for pc but what they do not realize is that it is a console game and is especially made for the superior consoles. ItBEST GAME EVAR.     Infinityward have broken their promises of "dedicated server connections on launch for all platforms" so instead we were left with an iwnet style crap p2p connection /hostings.

    This is mainly based on the Multiplayer experience since this is what most people buy the game for. The engine has not been updated since MW1 and I believe that Infinity Ward tried to compensate this with making too many changes, changes to the maps are the biggest let down for me, they have WAY too many long corridors and fields making it nearly impossible to achieve your killstreak.     One of the best FPS of all time. i have no idea why everyone hates it. For sure, this game is not a 10/10. but theres huge improvement compared to bo2. For score purpose, I give this game a 10/10

    While multiplayer and the new modes are great. The singleplayer feels mostly stagnant and still feels like it was an after thought. Which is not all to surprising considering Call Of Duty is best known for its Multiplayer.

    This game is horrible.You need 6GB RAM over 30GB hard disk and DirectX11 cards and other things.Bad multiplayer,bad singleplayer. infinity ward CoD=SSDF(Same Different Year)

    graphics not so good like bf4. all weapons feels like the same weapon. no recoil and u dont need a good aim to have a good skill.. to much hacker. no dedicated server. in my opinion, i have for 30 min. fun, but then, i must go offline, because this game bored me to much. but i bought it, and i will play this game.. 1 hour in the day

    Sure the action is there with cliche moments and more explosions than the all Hollywood actions movie ever made combined, but we have seen it before.

    A step back and could easily be a DLC instead of a independent game.

    6 Gb RAM?next-gen graphics?I only saw the old boring game play of MV3.In this game there are a couple of interesting game moments. But I do not think that this game is worth the money

I cant describe how frustrating it is, basically i have played all the call of duty series, some very good, others more or less, but this one has surelly ended the series. Very heavyy, bad graphics, single-player bad made, etc!! BATTLEFIELD 4 is much more fun

Don't forget this game needs already an 450gt or higher to be aible to play on low or higher upwards. If you don't have this get a new graphic card or don't complain.

    Ok now about the game:

    Single Player

    The Dog
    The single player doesn't show a very clear story line and jumps a little from one to the other story. It isn't a straight story line. The way how they introduce us to the dog is really nice. I felt moments that I really wanted to fight harder to safe the dog. Ofcourse if you don't like dogs this is different.

    The Intel
    Easier to find this time and a want to try.

    The Graphics.
    I don't see the problem with the graphics. We have always known that battlefield has better graphics. Cod is more a feeling and a lot of gameplay fun.

    If I look back to Call of Duty 1
    I really miss the bunnyhopping ;)
    They worked against the bunnyhopping and you can't jump easy away like in previous versions.

    Sliding and climbing over walls while shooting.
    A more lifelike feeling is that you now can utilize your weapon while your doing things and it doesn't just show only your hands.

    The Clan feature and Team
    You now can create your own team and combat with them against others.
    Also you can use your friends created team to help you out.
    The clan is something you create yourself with your know friends. Ofcourse I think that cod is still one of the best in you wanting to play with your friends together.

    Multiplayer.
    At this moment I think that the needed requirements to play cod mp is a little to high. People are using cracks to be aible to play the game on lower then 6gb ram. Also the high Graphic Card needs are a little over the top. This brings a lot of problems ingame at this moment. I needed to upgrade from two 460 gtx sli to 1 760 GTX. Ok the cards are 3 years old but then still I think they should work good. This ofcourse has to do with my own money I want to pay to play. This is also the only thing that gives me a -1 thought. The game itself is again a good nice COD. (If you read COD you don't read battlefield or CS:GO, that is a different metacritic page     … Expand

IT LOOKS WORSE THAN BLACK OPS 2 AND RUN WORSE. SERIOUS HERE.
    It plays like It keeps crashing, lagging, kicking out of matches, freezing and what-not. Mouse-accel checked. Getting shoot from nowhere checked. Invincible lagged enemies- checked. Everything you can imagine is bad for an FPS game is there in force !!
    No FOV slider for PCs 60 FOV is about 1/3 of normal human FOV and 1/2 of what previous CoDs and every decent FPS there offers. It makes the game super-easy for campers, and you get continously shot from the sides and back. Of course there is FOV option in-game but IW decided to block that for PCs, probably because they hate PC players.
    Killstreak rewards are super-boring compared to the old cod games. Oracle system? Really, a built-in wallhack? You gotta be kidding me here IW. It's not exactly OP it is just extremely annoying when enemy got Oracle, and you (usually) don't know about it. Guard dogs that kill you from 6 meters? Lol and I thought the K9 was OP, and that was for almost 20 kills, not freaking 6 kills like in Ghosts. Every killstreak reward out there is either OP, or boring, or both. I don't realy have incentive to obtain them.
    The maps. Well the maps are bigger and I really like that. The dynamic element that was added is also good. Too bad they are still "1 step forward, 2 step backwards". Why? Because most of the maps are camper's heaven especially with 60 FOV madness. In BLOPS 2 campers were a rare occurance here they are on every server.
    No dedicated servers bad net-code. You are constantly thrown into lagged hell, or can't connect at all. Needless to say it's another middle finger pointed towards PC players by infinity ward.
    Squad mode is a joke, I am not sure why they put that in, it was a waste of time and code. Those are nothing more than bot matches, with crappy AI as usual, but they net you same XP as multiplayer matches. What the f... !?
    About the campaign, well it's barely playable, much more unstable than multiplayer. I managed to play through a large part of it, and it's the same as every CoD. A few new tricks here and there, but it's the same run'n'gun as always. Except it's even shorter, takes about 6 hours to beat if you are not constanly crashing like I do. 6 hours of decent fun for 60 Lol no thanks.

    Overall there are some good things to say about CoD. Like bigger maps or new game modes. But this is all nothing compared to massive problem cod has, caused by activision incredible level of greed and iw's hate towards PC players.
    Should you buy it If you are a dumb CoD fanboy, yes. If you are a CoD fan, No, you will be disappointed If you like FPS in general, No, stick to Battlefield or CS:GO or previous CoD games just not this one.
    My score to this piece of trash is 3/10, for an AAA game this is terrible, not worth half of that cash.    … Expand

    Do not buy this game for PC. This is the buggiest game I've ever played. First I couldn't play due to a graphics card error which I was able to fix. Then it wouldn't unlock any loadouts for me to play the game, which is a known common error that they don't give a about.

I'm very curious as to what that 30gb is used for because this game looks like it was designed in the early 90's. It just looks amateurish.     I think Activision would be best creating an excellent next gen engine, with 20 map packs, and then sell map packs every 3 or 6 months and call It Call Of Duty Online, they could then actually bring new maps instead of keep recycling the old ones. I've cancelled my season pass on steam and am currently demanding my money back as the game is still in Beta stage...........with sound clicks, corrupt textures and game freezes.

But over complicated gear selection, buggy gameplay, kills are WAY too easy (2 bullets), boring kill streaks, (dogs are stupid). Overall I enjoyed Black Ops multiplayer a lot more.     Why do i play games? for fun... but theres no fun here... only frustration. Lag compensation is terrible. You spawn, die, sometimes faster then i you can read this. I was 50 in ranking in "Kill confirmed" mode, spend lot of hours to learn this game but in the end... i didnt found fun in it.

    I've played both ghosts and bf4 and ghost is just SO much more up and personal. And I don't understand what people are talking about when it comes to graphics, they are different and in my opinion, improved. No issues with frame rate or glitches here. I do enjoy bf4 but cod reminds me of quake for 2k.

    A total disaster. Poorly made. Its the worst of the all COD parts. Game stutters all the way (even after patch). Its totally unplayable. They said there will be dedicated servers, and they lied to us (host system is the same as in MW2 and MW3). Don't buy it its a waste of money.

    I was worried the series would die, surprisingly i was amazed. All the game modes are a blast all the weapons are balanced all the modes fun. My only 2 complaints is no FOV slider and you need a bit of a beefy computer. All in all Ghosts suprised me and i love it and to be honest the singleplayer was good, started off slow but then was great.

Online the game has removed all the core gamemodes such as Search and Destroy and Domination, and gave us what? Cranked. Yep, this that about sums up online. The Extinction game mode is quite simply an attempt to gain players by reskinning the popular Zombies mode from Treyarch games, and it is probably the best part of the game, which is worrying. Activision is clearly only in it for the money now. Don't buy, just get Battlefield 4… Expand

    I don't know why everybody yelling about how this game sucks but I really enjoyed it. This is NOT a simulation though, and the action part is very impressive. I have 8GB memory and GTX-460 and I have played on high setting very smoothly. I know this is not a perfect game but it's not 0 neither.

    - Lag Latency makes the game unplayable.
    - FOV sets to 65°. No possibility to change that parameter ???
    - graphics are poor and sad.
    - Game play is very slow compare to BO2.
    - Respawn is totally stupid. (Respawn just in front of ennemies ???)
    - Equivalent to free to play Warface ...

    The game has no FoV changer, you cant configure your Sensitivity normally (choose a number but only a slider). No dedicated servers, no console.

    just a bad game feels like i spent my money on a big garbage game.

    The worst COD ever!!! A lot of bugs, heavy (fps drops in my gtx 660 ti ftw), mouse sensitivity problems and no dedicated server or theater. Graphics are a deception (if you compare with MW2 or MW3).

    This game is awesome, singleplayer is okay not so good as in BO2, MP is awesome it's really feels that is a NEW CoD game,graphics is just nice.Yeah this game has some problems with optimization, and RAM requirements is too high.8/10

    My PC is a beast and the game wouldn't run at all. After some frustration I disabled crossfire and found everything runs perfectly smooth on "extra" quality. Graphics don't totally blow me away but I do occasionally pause to enjoy the scenery, so it's certainly not bad. Lack of PC options/optimisation is pretty frustrating but nothing is a deal breaker.     We were promised dedicated servers, instead we got peer to peer this seems nothing more than MW3 with a pretty wrapper over it. And by the 4th day, the same hackers who were around in MW3 are back, standing in the middle of the map getting head-shot after head-shot, with scores like 38 for 0 and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Hackers and lag. This game is intrinsically broken.

    My review is for multi player only, I really didn't want to believe all of the negative reviews but god this game is bad. The biggest problem is the spawning into mayhem constantly. Also every map is a battle dome, i just remember MW2 where at least teams fought for positions on the map, where in this game there is just no way for that to happen. Unfortunately Riley is quite a heavy eater, allegedly consuming an extra 32GB of your precious hard drive space and a beefy 5.5GB of extra RAM over Call of Duty 4.

    As per all recent games in the franchise the campaign is action packed, totally over the top and making no sense what so ever, just run and shoot and you will do fine... That being said I did somewhat enjoy the campaign. Unfortunately after those short six hours of fun that's where things stop being slightly entertaining. Multiplayer is the exact same as usual, an absolute hell-hole.

    Now the one good thing about this game is that it keeps all the immature teeny boppers away from other games, kudos Activision.

    I think I will purchase an extra copy of Battlefield 4 just to do some justice to this terrible game.

    EVEN USES SAME ANIMATIONS AS LAST GAME, I FEEL SO RIPPED OFF; BLOODY 60 EUROS.

    It's like cod players dont even want a new game, they just treat it like a sportsgame (nhl or something) and just want "better graphics" and few new maps.

    Cheesy forced campaign and multiplayer the exact same. Also buggy.

    i thought after MW3, ghosts could only be an improvement, i was wrong, so wrong, the spawns are worse, the maps are worse, the netcode is worse, the optimization is therees just oo much wrong with this game. it has a couple of decent feattures, but none enough to make it more then a 2. I dont know how you did it infinity ward, you manged to make a game worse then MW3.

    If you read that then dont buy CoD this is big error, 6 gb ram for what? For engine was making for 10 years since quake3 Graphics, engine and dogs are the oldest. And it is not working, when battlefield 4 works on max settings without lags. WTF? Give me 60 activision, i will buy for this money titanfall or battl 4 premium BETTER than COD DOGS LAGS!

    Terrible no FOV slider must have 6GB of RAM or game wont even start. Looks terrible plays terrible no matter what specs huge micro shuttering. At least Treyarch done things to make the game good on PC you don't care anymore about PC infinity ward you cared a little on the first modern warfare and that's it.

    Well screw you! My 3570K with 8GB RAM and HD7870 is waaaayyyy more powerful than that and doesn't even break a sweat on highest graphic settings with 100 FOV. Why should I be limited??

    At least BF4, with its less than entertaining single player has a FOV slider all the way to 120 degrees. And kick ass graphics on PC!    … Expand

    A step backwards in my opinion. I loved Mw2, Mw3, BO, and BO2. Great multiplayer and it felt so much fun! However, the mechanics in this game feel really wierd. I'm still beasting people in lobbies, but its just not fun really. The streaks are not that great. Almost every just gets satcom and dogs cause their easy to pick up. Also dogs are a little overpowered in terms of health.

    Why does this have such a low score? Call of Duty: Ghosts is the best Call of Duty yet. Graphics are greatly improved, larger maps, a LOT of customization, smoother gameplay. I'm having tons of fun playing it.

    The series is showing its age. COD is dated and just doesn't stack up well to other PC FPS games. It lacks the eye candy of BF, the teamplay and innovation of Natural Selection 2, the classic and balanced feel of Counter Strike:GO, the sheer fun of Hawken, and worst off all Blacklight retribution is for all purposes a better COD then Ghosts.

    BO2 was my first attempt in the COD series, and I loved every minute of it. Fast forward a year later, and I'm dying to play Ghosts. Due to money and time issues, I chose Ghosts over BF4 and GTA. What a huge mistake. Really disappointing. Mouse sensitivity issues, game crashes, in-game sounds not balanced etc. Last COD i will ever play.

Don't let the hundreds of exaggerated negative reviews from people who are just extremely pessimistic mess up this game for you. This game tries to bring some welcome changes while still maintaining some bugs and glitches the series is known for but this is without a doubt a fun game.

    I like to play the Campaign mode first before duke-ing it out with the boys online. Well this time the campaign is the shortest so far. The story made more sense this time and some of it was fun. But very short. REAL SHAME. Why is the trend in these FPS to ignore the campaign mode.

    As for the game itself there is little to recommend buying it. Graphics are s***! for a 2013 title. I know its a straight port of the console. But I think the console version looks better on my TV then on a good quality 1080P monitor with top notch Nvidia graphics card.

    I reviewed this game based on the campaign mode only. So it might pick up a few more points once I played it online for a bit. I always like COD online. Even if i get my ar$e handed to me on a constant basis.

    If you only had the money to buy Ghosts or BF4 then its a no-brainer. Buy BF4.

    I hope this is a flop so Activision wakes up and dosnt ruin this franchise even more.
