    The gamy may be fun to play with friends but this doesn't justify the fact what the've done to the history. This game is just too influenced by retarded leftist propaganda, along with feminism. It's also incomplete. Just 8 maps, one of which being a little rework of BF1's Amiens. The game ditches the Premium service but I feel like they had to do like this after bad first impressions (after May trailer was uploaded). I bought this game because I've received a 50% discount coupon for any order in my local store but I would never pay the full price (which is 45$ afaik). This game is jut not worth it. Battlefield 1 is way better than this, although it's the BF3/4 which I still consider as the best Battlefield games in the series.… Expand

    Been playing the BF series since 2002. It has come a long way. In the recent releases, I enjoy BF4 the most, and that remains unchanged thus far. Tanks and planes are just being eroded away in BF1 and now basically stupid in BF5. If you love strictly infantry warfare, this may not bother you. But what made the BF series so vivid are the tanks and planes! Campaign is short, but most peopleBeen playing the BF series since 2002. It has come a long way. In the recent releases, I enjoy BF4 the most, and that remains unchanged thus far. Tanks and planes are just being eroded away in BF1 and now basically stupid in BF5. If you love strictly infantry warfare, this may not bother you. But what made the BF series so vivid are the tanks and planes! Campaign is short, but most people are looking to spend way more hours in multiplayer on BF games. Realism is one thing, but making a game ridiculous doesn’t justify.

    The game feels unfinished and buggy in general. Unresponsive controls make certain multiplayer scenarios laughable, not in a good way. These problems didn’t even exist in BF1...    … Expand

    game is terrible hackers/cheaters playfield. don't support this **** game it's worst bf game and if you wan't best skins for you character / weapon you need buy it for REAL money. this game have nothing, no maps, no guns (half them from BF1)... NOTHING but hackers/cheaters. EA/Dice... good job

    Awful and cringeworthy are just some of the things that come to mind when playing Battlefield V. First off I started with the campaign as I wanted to get a feel for the game and on hearing that I was going to be sabotaging heavy water production at the Norse Hydro plant in Telemark I was very pleased; however, this pleasure quickly evaporated as I soon realised that DICE had completelyAwful and cringeworthy are just some of the things that come to mind when playing Battlefield V. First off I started with the campaign as I wanted to get a feel for the game and on hearing that I was going to be sabotaging heavy water production at the Norse Hydro plant in Telemark I was very pleased; however, this pleasure quickly evaporated as I soon realised that DICE had completely rewritten history - I knew they said it wasn't going to be completely historically accurate but come on, completely changing the story! It's sad as the commander of Operation Gunnerside, Joachim Ronneberg sadly died last month. What a legacy DICE has left for this man and the other commandos that many young people will now think a Norwegian mother and daughter actually helped stop Hitler from creating an atomic bomb.

    Well after this I gave up on the single player and went to the multiplayer and things didn't get much better, it seems women fought on the front line on the western front, which is complete bollocks! Don't get me wrong, women played a huge role in the war especially in espionage, partisan actions, code breaking, the production of planes, tanks and munitions etc. but get it right! Every time I hear some cockney woman scream down the radio I can't help but cringe. It's not that I'm against women being in this game but if they wanted women in it then why the hell didn't they do an Eastern Front game where there were actually women front line soldiers.

    Anyway to sum up, this game is pretty much a cut and paste of Battlefield 1, my face has wrinkles from frowning and gets real boring after a few hours. I gave it 1 out of 10 because the graphics are at least nice.    … Expand

    El peor Battlefield de la historia, no es porque aparezcan mujeres y el rigor histórico, eso todavía si es un buen juego y divierte es lo de menos, si no porque el tipo de juego es tosco, plagado de bugs y los escenarios están muy mal distribuidos y mal creados.

    Der Medic, tja der hat eine Maschienen pistole, muss reichen... Dafür kann jetzt jedes Squadmember auch Recieven, wen auch nicht so schnell.
    Support und Engineur hat man jetzt zusammen geworfen... Dafür haben die keinen Panzerfaust mehr..
    Und Sniper, tja der kann nur noch Snipern und das nur richtig mit zwei Gewehren die auch mit nur einem Schuss in den Kopf töten.
    Wer hat sich den diesen Mist ausgedacht????
    Balance zwischen den Waffen, gibt es auch nicht.... Jede klassen hat zwei Waffen die etwas taugen... das war es...

    Und es gibt kein Hardcore mehr, kein Friendlyfire, dafür noob Map, noobspot, noob weapon damage, noob weapon spraying Style.... Pfuideifel...

    Sprayen ist besser als geziehlte chüsse.... Es ist kommt nicht einmal an BF4 ran. Und das hat sehr generft wegen seinen Lootboxen und den kleinen Pay2Win/Pay2Shortcut mechaniken.... Hier gibts das nicht mehr, dafür fehlt es wirklich an fast allem...

    Bugs, ach ja, regelmäsig feststecken tut man auch noch, oder es gibt unsichtbare Wände die einen die Schüsse wegnehmen....

    Normal game - 6|10, BUT after 2 mounth of playing (after firestorm update) got banned FOR nothing!!!
    Support do nothing about this problem. I play BF since BF3, have on account BF1942, BF BC2, BF3 Premium, BF 4 Premium, BF1 Premium, BF5. Never used hack/cheat programs.
    Nice work Dice/EA. Will never bougth your games again!

    Even worse than BF1 if that is possible. It is bad on pretty much every level. I can't even see my character any longer while trying to customize. Snipers can leap and roll around like an arcade game while still landing head shots. It feels like alpha in every way.

    TTK is unbearable especially on poorly thought-out and too small maps where you are forced to play with 64 players at the same time... even the vehicles are uninteresting to play so slow and fragile they are.

    That isn´t what I expected, because the Maps are completely bad, the maps are boring, and much more worse than Battlefield 1´s Maps.
    All Vehicles are too bad, a tank should scare them, but in Battlefield 5 they think, hey walk to it throw one Grenade and get a easy kill.

    Historically inaccurate and jam packed with SJW nonsense. Personally I prefer my games without politics. Game play is decent. Graphics average. Gun play is slightly above average (if you are into shooters).

    Overall, the game is too politicized and in doing so, the game devs sacrificed what made battlefield great.

    All War Veterans should Denounce this game, worst 90 dollar i ever spent. this game has no soul. i will get back to battlefield 1,even though i maxed out to the max. i doubt the credibility of some of these reviews, every time a red low score submits, a bunch of green reviews go on the top systemically . Total game failure in term of tactical pliability and team works.

All of a sudden there are tons of women characters in the game, and it sounds like a One Direction concert with female characters groaning and screaming all over the place. Also, all the focus on the idiotic visual/pimping of guns is ridiculous. The magic has gone, it doesn't feel like Battlefield anymore, nor like a WW2I actually enjoyed the Beta, but with the full game the fun had gone. All of a sudden there are tons of women characters in the game, and it sounds like a One Direction concert with female characters groaning and screaming all over the place.     Note, if you don't mind a forced SJW agenda in a game that is marketed as a Historical and like decent FPS games then this game is for you. I tried, but it hits you in the face all the time and it in the end turned me off to the point where I could not enjoy it anymore. I love FPS games, I don't mind it at all in other games where it fits in better, but this is just wrong

    Thanks for spoiling my favorite game. Over 2500 hours BF Bad Company 2, 3000 hours BF3, 2000 BF4, 90 hours BF1 and 10 hours BF5, enough said. And its not only about the gameplay, its a lot about no History knowledge. Its just terrible, everything is terrible except weapon mechanics.I do not want to waste my time describing how and why BF1 and BF5 are so bad.

Medic weapons are so ridiculously under powered it's not even funny. I do like that they moved more toward infantry based combat, but at the same time I feel bad for people who like vehicles. The vehicles are slow and clunky and I don't even spend time in them because of it. Where you can customize your player and weapon skins, there is a major lack of actual weapon customization for actual parts that effect gun play. Each class only gets a tiny handful of weapons and there's almost no variety to what you can use per class. Though I don't really care that women are about 75% of the battlefield, it's just that there are times when a lot of people are dying and it basically sounds like a bunch of seagulls are being viciously strangled to death, that kind of takes away from the immersion.

    All in all this game feels empty and it is in no way worth a $60 price tag. The best thing I can recommend is to wait a few months before buying. They have promised to add more content in the coming months for free, so we'll see how that goes, until then, I have refunded the game. Do not forget Origin will let you buy the game and play it for 23 hours from the time you launch it. If you don't go past the full 24 hours you are eligible for a full refund. This 23 hour trial took all of 7 hours for me and I was done with it.    … Expand

The gameplay went to a poorly handled hardcore mode coz of the new spotting mechanics, but THIS hardcore implements the same old crappy TTK system, not a real Hardcore TTK. So everybody tend to camp in the dark areas and behind corners. This game is more about selling the skins to the players but not about well crafted maps and nice gunplay. Nothing is good in here. I strongly do not recommend this game to any one. There is a nicely crafted (after endless months of tweaking) BF1 out there, there is perfect to play (compared to BF5) BF4 there, so why pay more? **** Dice, **** EA.     I found this version significantly better than the console variations, maybe its because the control scheme through this buggy mess made things much easier, or maybe it was because it was simply a better experience due to better graphics and frame rate.     The guys who worked on the PC side of this deserve a raise, and then a subsequent demotion because I think no one can save this mess of a game.

    Anyway to sum up my problems with the game:

    -lack of content
    yes this was explained by free DLC, but that doesnt excuse it, I bought the game now, not after all the DLC came out. If they release a GOTY edition (and thats a big IF) with all the dlc, then i might consider changing my score to reflect that.

    -Its a bUgGy MeSs
    there's no helping this except with the passage of time

    -lack of authenticity and/or accuracy
    This is immersive for some players, but this game didn't do it for me. Which is a shame because there are a lot of games that do like DM or Battlefield 2.

    -Feels like Cod

    Just got around to playing this after finally "completing" the playstation version.
    Suffice to say, its significantly better, but still a terrible battlefield game. It plays more like COD and the story is made up garbage and is as much a true story as the Blair witch project.
    I've lost my chance to get a refund, I hope you don't as well.

    After playing 30 hours total I tried to enjoy this game, but it's completely broken and depressing to play. I honestly don't care that they stupidly messed up the historical aspect of the game. I focused on the gameplay, the maps, and other aspects only, and it was still a total turn off.

    The movement is insanely bugged and uncomfortable to control, leading to unpredictable and stupid deaths. Then you have to deal with pathetic laughable spawns that never make sense.
    The maps get very boring with about 1 or 2 interesting maps upon a few playthroughs, then they just become a headache to play.
    The squads are the complete trash as most are locked and the one you get into are usually with players who have no clue how to play the game.
    Don't buy this game, the devs don't care about anyone but the money in their pockets.
    The delusional people who say this game is great and there is nothing wrong most likely never experienced the older battlefield games(BF1,BF2,BF3), This is not the game you want to waste money on, trust me.

I have been waiting for a return to the World War II era in Battlefield since Battlefield 2, but this entry isn't it. There is no feeling of war, or even "Battlefield" in this game and the map choices. VehiclesI am a Battlefield veteran, having played every release of the series except those released only on Consoles. This entry in the series is an insult to the Battlefield franchise. There is no feeling of war, or even "Battlefield" in this game and the map choices. Vehicles (other than arial bombers) are rare to see in the match, and are limited in number to the point of being useless, or occasional squad call ins that almost everyone ignores in order to use the V2 rocket.

    The multiplayer modes are riddled with bugs such as the never-ending round, or infinite load screen bugs, and a map rotation that seems to favor 3 or 4 maps, not to mention a troubled net code that has issues registering hits and also gives the feeling that while you can unload a magazine of ammunition into someone and they survive, they in turn can hit you twice and kill you. The maps themselves also have issues. On every map I played I was able to find areas that would allow me to fall under the map where a less honest player would be able to rack up kills in complete safety. These areas on the 2 beta maps (Narvik and Rotterdam) were reported to DICE and they still existed at release. SInce release the places in the other 6 maps have been reported, but with the first wave of bugfixes and updates being delayed, who knows when they will be fixed.    … Expand

    I played this game through Origin Premier for $15 and i'm upset that I even had to spend that much. Every second of playing the game it reminds me that we could of had Bad Company 3, but instead we got a """"WW2"""" game that nobody asked for. The people at Dice don't care nor listen and we are just here getting dragged though the mud.

    Weapon customization is borderline gone, its all turned into an RPG skill tree. Same goes with vehicles which have different EXP on each faction which makes leveling each one an annoying task and you get screwed if you are on the Allies but your Axis tank is all leveled up.

    I gave this game about 10 hours of my live before i removed it from my life.

    -War Stories (campaign) is still absolute garbage. Bad AI, bland missions, bad writing, just plain boring.

    -Combined Arms- possible one of the laziest game modes ever concocted by a AAA studio. basically coop missions with none of the good things from singleplayer and all of the bad things instead.

    -Firestorm- hit or miss for Battlefield fans. Very basic Battle Royal with vehicles. Low player count makes finding matches a pain and makes it absolutely impossible for players in Oceana/Australia. Despite a lot of the player base preferring Duos over squads and solo, DICE decided to remove Duos.

    -Multiplayer Game Modes- Conquest and Breakthrough are the only game modes worth a damn right now. BFV used to have other popular game modes like Frontlines, Grind, and Fortress, but they removed those as well. Grand Operations are not very "Grand" and feel more like a grab-bag match of different game modes where the outcome of previous round bears almost no impact on the upcoming round. Team Deathmatch is currently still present, but there is nothing special there either. Still no hardcore mode.

    -Maps- Out of the 8 launch maps, only 4 are fun to play. Several maps are not balanced for Conquest, so one team will have a much easier time capping and holding onto several of the flags. I can tell they tried to move away from the large sprawling battle META of previous Battlefields, for a much smaller and frenetic infantry based maps with vehicles added as more of an afterthought. The only map that seems to capture the Battlefield feeling of old is "Panzerstorm" (which coincidentally a lot of the brand new and casual run-and-gun FPS players hate).

    -Updates- piss poor amount of content for a major AAA "live service" title. Only games that are doing worse are Anthem and Fallout 76, and that's a low bar. 6 months in we have only 1 new map, a handful of new weapons, and skins (most of which are only purchasable with real money).

    -Cosmetics- laughable at best. Weapon camos are awful, Soldier cosmetics(that you can buy with CC) are dull and wildly inaccurate. Most of the new skins are purchasable only with Boins (premium currency). The person in charge of designing them must have a hard on for the absurd, because the elite skins are pretty awful and hearken to some Liberace WW2 steampunk fever dream. Company Coin has lost most of its use after the release of BOINS, due to this, the game economy is starting to skew towards premium currency. Also what's with all the goggles???

    -Balancing- Team balancer is MIA or just plain doesn't work. Dice is constantly nerfing weapons and vehicles until they're utterly useless or buffing them until that's all anybody uses. Game meta is trash and is more akin to Call of Duty than Battlefield. Anti-cheat is pretty bad too. Cheating is very rampant in Firestorm and VERY prevalent on Asia servers.

    -Bugs and performance issues are a constant problem. Whenever one bug is fixed, 2 more usually take its place. The game is also very poorly optimized. Don't expect 60 fps unless you have a monster rig or mess with a lot of the graphics settings.

    VERDICT: save your money. This game is obviously a cash grab. Incomplete at launch with promises of future content, BFV seems to be losing more than it's gaining. Play BF1 or BF4 if you want to have fun.    … Expand

    This game was a lot of fun when it first came out. The gun play was fantastic and was really rewarding for aggressive and strategic play styles. I also liked how there was clear progression for each class. The game was admittedly addicting, especially if you are a completionist. The game also is rewarding for squads that play the objective.

    The game has a lot of bugs though. Here are some of the bugs that still exist in the game:
    - Bad netcode which causes time-to-death (TTD) sequences at 1 or 2 frames
    - Getting stuck in the environment
    - Unable to jump over ledges that are practically 1 feet high
    - Unable to launch v1 and JB rockets and have half the screen blacked out
    - Cannot adjust assignments and weapon progression while in game
    - Not preventing spawns on squad-mates that are in combat, which leads to instant spawn deaths
    - No being able to spawn on points without clicking to a different point and clicking back
    - Slow loading screens when quitting out after a match has ended

    In mid December Dice updated the game with a longer time-to-kill (TTK) value, which means a large majority of the weapons require more shots to down someone. This change practically changed the game in the worst way possible. Instead of having fun and rewarding gun play, everything now is more spongy and promotes a more defensive/camping style. Before, if you flanked a team you were rewarded with multiple kills. If you flank now, more than often, the enemy team will notice you and take you down before you can finish more than 1 kill. This just promotes squads clustering up with other squads and "zerging" to one point at a time. Also, having a longer time-to-kill doesn't help new players because in order to down someone, you need more precise shots, which is something they may lack when they first start playing the game. So new players will just find that they can't kill enemies and they still die quickly due to bad netcode and by more skilled players that can shoot with precision. Therefore, these new players will just stop playing the game due to frustration.

    A large portion of the Battlefield community has asked Dice/EA NOT to adjust the time-to-kill, but instead fix the time-to-death issue which is associated with bad netcode. Dice/EA has ignored the loyal Battlefield community and rammed the TTK change down their throats, causing an uproar in social media. EA were hoping the change would please the casual new players during the holiday season, which it does not.

    Because the game is broken now more than ever and due to the lack of respect from Dice/EA, I'm giving this game a score of 1. This game can be salvaged if EA/Dice listens to logical advice. Your core player-base and fans deserve better.    … Expand

    And for the Multiplayer: One-shot throwing knifes and killstreaks straight out of CoD and an attrition system that tries to force squadplay but only ends up being annoying and increasing the problem of one or two squads of well coordinated players dominating a match to the point where its just not fun anymore to play when you are alone.
    It just feels like DICE couldnt decide between making the game more casual and making it more hardcore, tried to do both and ended up achieving neither.
    The game is not unplayable, but Bf 3/4 and even Bf 1 are just much more enjoyable.

    And then there is the whole problem of historical revisionism, with DICE pandering to neo-feminist agendas and calling players "uneducated" for pointing out historical facts... but that has already been discussed enough.
    It just adds another reason to not spend your money on this game.

    Luckily however all of this is not really a problem since we can just continue playing Bf 3/4/1 without really missing out on anything, or get World War 3 which is both cheaper and better, or Hell Let Loose,...
    Thats the beauty of the free market, if you dont like something you can always switch to the competition.

    I do hope they get back on track with the next entry though, as it would be a real shame to see Battlefield die because of this mess...    … Expand

    I first though that this game would have more content like more maps, more single player missions, USSR and Japan even, including battles with these armies, but nope, instead we get tons of useless skins on our weapons and - vehicles.     The first free DLC was recently released, it’s a step in the right direction, but again content is so little, and the upcoming DLCs seems to be the same. The game feels empty, shallow, unfinished and not driven by creativity but by finance. Maybe just maybe there is hope when the last DLC is out.
    And not to mention these animations for dying, reviving or getting revived, it takes forever. These animatons it does not fit into multiplayer, its frustration and stupid.

There are a lot more way to show support like making donations, make a story line that actually relate to the mater instead of forcefully to make it political correct. just learn from car makers, some of the openly show support to lgbtq community and gender equality which i am totally fine with, but they don't force you to watch a 1min ads talking about equality every time you enter the car, or only paint it in rainbow color to show support. If i wanna watch political propaganda brainwash, i will just go watch tv news.
    Yes, 2018 is a bad year for gamers, fallout 76 is a bad game because I see no effort of making it better from Bethesda, and they failed to deliver what they "promised". Cod bo4 is bad because it has become too far from its root, and the quick cash grabbing practice is just disgusting. BF5 is a whole different story, while the game is okay and has some potential, the publisher and devs are just ignorant and make it to please these political activist aka.some game journalist (with all respect to these hard working programmers who actually physically make the game), and it has gone too far from its customers. Im glad they learned it the hard way but at the same time knowing that they are not going to change anyway...

    This is by far the worst Battlefield and undoubtedly the worst triple A fps game that came out this gen. One cannot believe this crap came after Battlefield 1. It is a huge let down in almost every aspect. Firestorm is also a big let down.

    Battlefield vetran here. Played every title religiously. put over 350 hours into BFV so I've given this turd a chance to be updated. BFV is not only the worst of the series but it might be up there with the worst games of all time. Map design and spawn locations are awful. TTK is laughable. Sound design is straight up garbage.     I bought this game because I liked the game modes Frontlines and Domination. They Removed it .... The Game was fun at release but got worse by every Patch. Their so called "Live Service" is providing skins. No new Maps or bad designed maps. With the released game modes removed this game is not worth playing for me.     Battlefield 1 was a masterpiece. You could feel the spirit of a war. Great destruction and great choose of weapons/vehicles.

    But Battlefield V is.... just really really bad. It doesn't feel like war, it doesn't feel like Battlefield. I thought that after WW1 we will receive a historical masterpiece based on previous BF, but we did not.

    Historical background made me sad.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. What do you think about when someone mentions WWII? Pearl Harbor? Normandy? Iwo Jima? The European offensive and Pacific conquest? I was fully expecting to be immersed in massive battles and amphibious assaults. I was on the edge of my chair when I booted the campaign up for the first time, but that feeling quickly escaped. Instead of of being thrown into an epic beach assault on D-Day, I found myself sneaking around the enemy, trying to avoid conflict as much as I could. Why? Because I wasn't with a battalion of soldiers or Marines, it was just me, a single person. I understand what Dice and EA were trying to do, telling stories that aren't well known about WWII, but there has to be a way to integrate both into the game. The campaign was seriously lacking, it wasn't fun.… Expand

    Faction based guns, old school weapons, vehicles that can't be taken on very easily by foot soldiers. Recycled maps and no real anti-cheat system equal another epic EA game failure. EA has been making failure Battlefield games for about 4 years now. Time to realize you are losing your core players... Will not be risking my $$ on the next one until its a bargain price, canceled Origin Access too.

    I purchased the game a few days ago and played multiplayer but after excluding 5 game modes i can only see 6 active servers. So game is dead for at least half of the game modes and they still sell it.
    The servers are infested with cheaters. The game itself is awful & boring. The aiming feels    OH MY GOD. This game is so full of trash i don´t know anymore what Battlefield has become.

    No No No. Then i rage quit and uninstalled the game.
    The last amazing battlefield was Battlefield Bad Company 2 & Battiefield 2142 was refreshing but both were too successful so they never did a Sequel. BF 3 trash, BF 4 trash, BF 5 trash.
    The only good thing is that i got a refund even after like 10 hours playing.    … Expand

    According to DICE/EA I am uneducated and there for should simply not buy their game. Apparently I am no longer in their demographic even though I have played every single other Battlefield game prior to BFV. So I am going to take my uneducated dollars with me and move on to bigger and better games.

    It’s far from being ideal but all the glitches and shortcomings don’t ruin the overall fun of Battlefield V’s multiplayer experience. Although the single player portion of the game is not bad at all, I would have been disappointed if I bought the game just for it. [13/2018, p.56]

    In Battlefield V we got back to WW2, but with refined gunplay and death system which works great. There are also little problems such as low number of maps and stability issues, that are taking the fun away, but nothing that can't be fixed.

    A great World War II shooter that will grow and improve. Do not buy the game because of its singleplayer, but if you consider the campaign a bonus to the multiplayer, you will be satisfied. [Issue#291]
