    Utter crap. A buggy piece of **** where nothing seems to be working. Getting shot behind cover, bullets suddenly taking off in random directions, hits not registering, hits not registering with proper damage, pistol one-shot kills etc. etc. Ever second kill in this game is caused by some weird bug. At least. Do a Youtube search for "Battlefield 4 netcode" if you don't believe me.

He throws in every feature he thinks people want and the result is an aberration of a car that only Bart Simpson thinks is cool. The Battlefield series is the gaming world's analogy to that car. The result is a very non-functional and chaotic game that makes all the ADHD, Bart Simpson-kids out there occupied, but even they seem to think "Battlefield sucks", if we are to judge from all the negative posts on the official forums. For everyone else, Battlefield is a game of dice - completely random.

    Stay away from Battlefield if you want a FPS that needs skills and has some meaning to it. It really is just an advanced COD-clone.    … Expand

    Este juego esta rotisimo, la campaña es basura sin sentido y llena de bugs, el online esta lleno de camperos y noobs que solo saben poner claymores y c4, y ademas falla constantemente, no es normal que una simple pistola quite mas que un revolver eso es simplemente estupido

The M1911 pistol is missing 3x scope, the gold battlepacks dont drop dog tags(only emblems and xp boosts. The missions are screwed up and not rewarding dog tags upon completion. There are 6 vehicles which wont registrar progress and cant get dog tags for them.     After Battlefield 1942 the second BF that i played. The Campaign ist okay, because the story is not good. Gamplay is typical Battlefield, nice!

    Multiplayer is still alpha (2014-03-20), not even beta! every third round occurs an error, the game stops. Its not really playable.     Battlefield 4 is a disgusting game, its not even fun. It has no fluid gameplay and it is one of the worst experiences you will ever have with FPS. Its not that youre bad, but the fact that the engine can NOT keep up with 32 man servers. The hit registration and lag are so bad that you will teleport into the ground of a map and die.     Can't even launch it. $30 gone. Nothing more to say. And good old EA wont gimme my cash back. Time to cry and go back to playing DayZ. I run DayZ on very high, cant even get into a server with BF4

    I loved battlefield 3. I logged over 200 hours in it. Then they came out with this unfinished steaming turd, and never finished it. I hate almost everything about this game. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Not even a person I hate. The worst people on earth don't deserve having to play this god awful **** stain on gaming.     Tried this again now 7 months after release and it's still a buggy mess. I get frequent culling of sounds that then suddenly pop up when the kill cam displays(such as helicopters coming in behind me). Kill cam seems to display the wrong character many times(or else there is something really weird going on).

    Server availability is now outrageously poor unless you have DLCs.

    This is the worst multiplayer FPS game I have ever played. Gameplay is just random, arcade-ish, buggy as hell (even in 2015), has bad netcode, full of hackers, bad maps = DICE. Need to say more?

    Horrible "netcode" 30hz/10hz even with the CTE 30hz/30hz there are still plenty of wtf moments which lead to hackusations in every match.

    DLC campaign obviously more important than fixing the broken mess of crap DICE Sweden created.

    The campaign is a boring joke of hearing "RECKER, RECKER" a million times...

    Whoever thinks this game is worth something is just and idiot. I had more fun playing big rigs, no joke. Thee single player is short, boring, full of useless cutscenes, u barely have to play. The multiplayer is unbalanced, bugged and designed for 11 y/o kids.

    The game looks and sounds very good especially now with 3d vision. But it is simply unplayable i played about 3 hours an it crashed 8 times. I considered buying cause i enjoyed BF2:BC2 and BF3 but it's not playable. Generally games don't crash on my PC i can't remember when i had the last crash. Even if they do, they crash once in 10 hours not every 10 minutes.

    The game in theory is good, but the execution, and follow through is horrible. They promised the universe and gave us a rock. The multiplayer is what 99% of the people buy the game for and it's impossible to play competitively. If you're playing around with some friends then it can be fun but serious gamers need to run away.

It's impossible to play rush in BF4. The unlocking system is really bad in BF4. Engineer became a terrible class, especially because the first weapon is just awful. The netcode got even worse than in BF3. You have to play the sp to unlock some of the weapons, which wouldn't be so bad if the developers could program properly. Sometimes the story just doesn't continue and you have to restart the game, sometimes you fall through the ground. It's programmed so badly it's even a pain to start the game because it keeps crashing. I blame EA because they wanted to release to game so early to make some more money.… Expand

I do not have the experience with the series that many do have, but to me the game is pretty to look at, has great shooting and driving mechanics, and a fantastically grandiose setting. However, I do not feel that I can give the game anything other than a zero because for me it is simply not playable at any graphics settings.

    I want to like this game because of the huge spectacular battles. The destructible environments and large maps really provide great eye candy. However, if you are playing on a large server and actually want to join the fray, you will quickly find yourself getting stuck in place repeatedly (rubber banding), and the game will basically become your own personal suicide simulator 2014. These issues are further exacerbated when you are in the middle of a firefight; however they remain if you are far away from the fighting.

    I initially believed that this was simply due to my computer or internet for whatever reason, but a quick internet search will immediately show that not only are my issues not an isolated incident but also that they have been in existence and unsolved for over a year now. Many generous individuals have provided possible fixes online, but none of them have worked for me.

    If you think you are better at solving computer issues than me, you may very well be correct. Just know that I have spent more hours trying to fix this game than actually playing it (if you could call it that.) I have tried everything from installing on an ssd to smart port forwarding. But still even when I have extremely low ping and join a local server with low ping, I find myself glitching my way across the map like an idiot.

    If you buy this game, know the risk you are taking. It simply doesn't work for many people such as myself. You will get a lot of people on these review sites denying that this is even happening, but even Dice has admitted there is a problem.

    If you think I am full of it it is your right to have that opinion, and I will defend that right with my life. But it is your hard earned money on the line. And speaking of money, the DLC for this game is out of control. If you want to be able to play any map on any server you will have to spend $70 (in my location). When the game is on sale. For a game that is a year old. For a game that does not work.

    Note: I was around for the release of Rome 2, and I never considered even that game "unplayable" if you need some kind of scale to understand how broken this game is to me.    … Expand

    do not buy !!! very poor re spawn policy . Magnum bullets don't have any special effect you cannot turn off the morons easily who insist you listen to their music and their kids in the background. And the enemy spawn right behind you

    This game is now 2 years old, and it is still littered with game breaking bugs. I am still unable to finish the campaign due to a game breaking glitch that prevents progression. But of course, no one plays Battlefield for the campaign, but fear not, there is a vast selection of bugs and glitches in the multiplayer as well 2 years later!

    The game can't even install its own cheat    This game is now 2 years old, and it is still littered with game breaking bugs. I am still unable to finish the campaign due to a game breaking glitch that prevents progression. But of course, no one plays Battlefield for the campaign, but fear not, there is a vast selection of bugs and glitches in the multiplayer as well 2 years later!

    The game can't even install its own cheat prevention properly, prompting me to reinstall punkbuster (manually) seemingly any time I try come back to the game, trying to get someone to show up on your friends list can take anywhere between 30 seconds to... Never. And most recently, the audio cut out in the middle of a game.
    As if that's not bad enough, when BF4 killed its own audio, it also killed the audio for my entire PC, forcing me to reboot to get my sound back.

    I would not recommend this trash to anyone, and would STRONGLY recommend avoiding all future games developed by DICE. It's a shame that they got their hands on Battlefront, I would have been greatly looking forward to playing it if it was being developed by anyone BUT DICE.    … Expand

    Hardly any people playing this game anymore, so they gave away all the expansions for free. That didn't seem to help increase the server count very much, which says all about the quality of this game.

I've never had a game that felt so alpha-build. the campaign is utterly atrocious, several times bugging out in such a way that required a full restart of the mission. this happening again on the Singapore mission which was shortly after the most annoying section up to that point, above and beyond being unable to swim through the Titan in the South China Sea mission,absolute garbage.     i'm glad I'm playing this game now, and not when it was released. it was probably even more of a **** and having this in the light of the recent controversies with Visceral Games shutting down, Mass Effect: Andromeda being an utter mess with support being removed almost immediately after launch, and the Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017) debacle, it seems like EA has been on a long-standing decline, and I hope things like this sink the company and their employees go on to find better jobs in less horribly managed development teams. it REALLY wouldn't have taken much to have a single person play through the finished game to find these bugs. a disappointment and a farce.    … Expand

    Tried this game with free month of origin acces i got and feel very happy i didnt trow mony on this.Tried 5-6 rounds of multiplayer and every single time got kicked out of server after 20 seconds of game,it is completly unplayable.Story is also meh nothing special.

    The game is riddled with players who are using cheat mods to gain a significant advantage, much like all games in the Battlefield series. Save your money and play something else, unless cheating is your thing too.

    Sound design is terrible. Visualization is a mess, it's hard to spot people. Colors and contrast is hurting my eyes. Weapons feel like toys.

    This is by far the worst battlefield ever, it's straight up a pure downgrade from the amazing game BF3 was.
    Bugs are all over the place, the shooting feels awful, the AI is one of the most scuffed I've ever seen, the vehicle control is non-existing and the physics are completely broken.

    Enemies that will not die although shooting directly at them.
    Allies that does absolute nothing but talks. Unpassable stages due to allies not moving. All of the controlled-action fps view is so uncomfortable.     Enemies that will not die although shooting directly at them.
    Allies that does absolute nothing but talks.
    Unpassable stages due to allies not moving.
    All of the controlled-action fps view is so uncomfortable.
    Not to mention the unrealistic scene where Pac has to get a thin glass door open, wtf? The surrounding has been completely thrashed and a soldier spend minutes at getting a glass door unlock?
    Weapon stash everywhere on battlefield is another illogical joke.
    As well as the lightning effect.

    I hate the fact that in 2022 in Battlefield 4 I need to unlock every decent vehicle mode and weapons for literally MONTHS. Moreover I can't progress fast because players who got unlimited time have already unlocked everything, so I'm being killed way too fast to get any points to progress. For example, my stock tank has no chances with high-leveled players who got some freaking extraI hate the fact that in 2022 in Battlefield 4 I need to unlock every decent vehicle mode and weapons for literally MONTHS. Moreover I can't progress fast because players who got unlimited time have already unlocked everything, so I'm being killed way too fast to get any points to progress. For example, my stock tank has no chances with high-leveled players who got some freaking extra missiles in their vehicles. Soldier Shortcut Bundle costs ~20 bucks.     So many buggs that completely ruins the game and you cannot even make proggress in campaign mode.

    Battlefield 4 could just as well be called Battlefield 3.5. The new Battlefield features are only marginal improvements over Battlefield 3, but even as such it leaves the competitors way behind. Hopefully the bugs will be squashed soon. [Nov 2013]

    Even if multiplayer wasn't buggy, Battlefield 4 would still only be a barely passable installment in all respects besides the snazzy graphics. EA and DICE played it safe by providing the same thing they did the last time around, with another phoned-in campaign and only minor alterations to the online.

    Battlefield 4 keeps soldiering on in the same footsteps as previous games in the series. The lack of worthwhile news makes you wish for more. Dice stays in its comfort zone calls for explosions and not much more. The series needs to evolve or fade out.
