    This is the worst and more unstable game I have ever played. After years of updates, there is only one thing that's sure: new patch = new crashes.
    Then, game play and physics are crap I am not buying any DICE game or EA ever again.

    This game is not finished, balanced, or worth it. It's December 16th 2013 and it still isn't worth crap. There are still tons of issues with spawning into death traps, graphics that need an overhaul because they are not fixed glitching. Add on top of that the game is horribly imbalanced. The Littlebird (the little helicopter) is the most abused and powerful vehicle in the game. Jets areThis game is not finished, balanced, or worth it. They are horribly balanced with the SU-50 being able to turn twice as fast as the new F-35 and Chinese stealth jets. Also if you like USING A JOYSTICK, be PREPARED, to get your arse handed to you. Right now the keyboard is also more responsive then a joystick and K&M users will run circles around you in the jet. On top of that they sell the expansion which comes 2 months after release for an arm and a leg for things that should have been in the original version.… Expand

    Is this a joke? The game's been out for two weeks, only one patch that did nothing and some report that it made things worse. Game is riddled with immersion breaking bugs such as massive freezing and crashes on every rig. The gameplay's not that ''OMG SO GOOD'' either, the singleplayer's garbage for example, no high-scale battles just you running around with that korean (chinese,Is this a joke?     This game looks amazing graphically and potentially and if you can play it then you are extremely lucky. This game is unplayable to me and many others judging by the forums and it is not my rig. But it would appear this is the way of the gaming world now, rushed buggy releases that loyal fans pay premium content for. Please wait any buy this game when its finished and half price.

    I'll compare this game (and BF3) to BF2.

    1. Crashes every time.
    I bought BF3, never got to play it. The browser system was crap, and I couldn't join one server without being 'disconnected from EA'. At least BF4, I got to play. However, every 30 minutes, it crashed. This isn't final product. This isn't beta. This isn't Alpha. This is, PRE-ALPHA. Stop selling sub-par product, EA!!!

    2. DLC, cheap marketing
    Suuuuuuuuuuuure, selling DLC even before the original comes out? GREAT IDEA! Also, stop selling MOH with the bait of BF series. They said MOH:tier 1 buyers will get EXCLUSIVE BF3 beta. You know what BF3 beta was? OPEN BETA. They said MOH:warfighter buyers will get EXCLUSIVE BF4 beta. Guess what? IT WAS OPEN BETA. Stop with the goddamn marketing schemes. Also, Please stop selling 'battlepacks', which are items in game to rack up more money. That kind of structure is only for free to play. This is BS.

    3. Commander mode
    BF3 doesn't have it, but at least BF4 has it. That's good right? Nope. NO VOIP to order to squads, and none of any game changing decisions available. Vehicle's ammo is replenished automatically (say whaa?), and repairs are too easy to get. There was a time when commander crates were imperative(bf2), but nooooooo, you don't need it in this structure. Cruise missile is also and AC-130? Guess what? It shoots .22LR. No, it would be better if it shot that. 25mm does no damage (Did experiments. 20 second engagement on standing target has 0 damage), 40mm also has no power at all, and 105mm, if you have a direct hit on human target (direct. has to hit direct.), you might have a chance to kill it. Screw that..

    4. Game mechanic.
    There's so many things, that I can't even write it all. Missiles aren't missiles. They are super mobile (Even more mobile than THAAD. It's like an insect that can fly at over 300m/s), which can never, ever be outmaneuvered unless you use flares. This "turning around 180 degrees in 0.3 seconds to kill" BS started from BFBC:2.
    Unlimited ammo of vehicles, even in hardcore. Ammo is unlimited in this game. Instead, you have a friggin ammo pool or something. Jesus.
    BALANCING TO THE MAX: What? Tanks are stronger than infantry? OMG we have to balance it! There you go, now tanks aren't powerful than infantry. What? A-10 can kill tanks? OK then, then let's let tanks be able to destroy jets too! THAT.
    There's so much more, but I'll stop for now.

    5. Levolution rip-off
    Oh so much levolution, such awesome, have to buy this game before it comes out!
    Yeah.........
    repetitive events that keep happening? Sure, that's fun.
    Bring down a guard tower in Operation Locker? THAT'S GAME CHANGING OMG! (not)

    6. Perks
    Yeah... I have to choose perks for vehicles? So, when I'm driving, my tank has anti air, and if my friend takes the wheel by pressing F1, the vehicle suddenly changes to a tank with active protection and HE shells? SOUNDS LEGIT! This is really, really lame. They copied all these 'perk' systems from COD, and I really dislike COD. Hence, I don't like it here.

The lag is on every single damn server, and even though it says your ping is 40, your vehicles will lag and twitch like they are having a f****** seizure!!!     The only good thing about this game is it's graphics. And graphics counts for nothing if the single player is horrible and the multiplayer is broken and unplayable.

    Looks like BF franchise is heading towards CoD style, dumbing down weapon handling, adding 100+ camos for each weapon, custon player cards and other stuff. But one thing they have gotten exactly as in Black Ops 2, is lag compensation. I don't remember myself raging about such things in BF3, but there it happens all the time, even when my ping is below 40. Most of the time I just die instantly. From medium or slow firing weapons. At long range.
    Let's say, I run around a corner, get one hit sound effect, screen flashes red, and I'm dead. In 1/5 of a second. That is unacceptable in Normal mode. In BF3 players at least have time to react when they are getting hit, here you just die instantly. And even if you make it in cover, you still die!
    Another example. I see an enemy. I know, that he might see me too. I start shooting and I have 100% health. Then my screen shakes for split second. And then I die. I guess they are trying to compensate lag and they send all his bullets at the same time, because he was shooting at me first, I just didn't receive his shots in time. This is bulls**t and totally ruins the Battlefield experience. I might as well take my rage to Call Of Duty.
    And they still expect us to pay over 100$ if you want Premium. Glad I didn't pay more than 30 $ for this. At this point it's garbage with nice graphics. We just have to hope it won't stay that way.    … Expand

    Buggy piece of Regular crashes, and I can not even go through the campaign. Bugs with the sound, he always lost. The much-vaunted levolution really crap, its not. And it does not affect the game.

    There is constant crashing and you are unable to finish single round.

    It's impossible to complete campaign because of critical bugs. Bugs everywhere. I can't play multiplayer because of lags and crashes. Game at alpha stage right now. How they could release this piece of This game not worth a penny i paid for it.

    A huge percentage of servers which ran Battlefield 3 with no issues now crash often and fail to work properly in many cases. There are also many issues with the PC client.
    Overall, it seems to be an unfinished game which was released early in    Battlefield 4 would be a step forward in the area of gameplay and graphics if there were no gameplay killing bugs, but there is plenty of them.
    A huge percentage of servers which ran Battlefield 3 with no issues now crash often and fail to work properly in many cases. There are also many issues with the PC client.

    Overall, it seems to be an unfinished game which was released early in order to compete with Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts.
    They even made the release cycle shorter, since the next installment will be released in autumn 2014 and not two years later as it was with Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2.    … Expand

    I don't even know where to start.. seriously i wonder how they can say its a improved version of the frostbite engine, i run it on ultra settings and it feels like playing farcry 3 with more cartoonish looking soldiers/vehicles than in battlefield 3. Also when you sprint it feels like you skate across the ground compared to battlefield 3 where you actually felt like you were running.     BF4 is the worst game of the series, stupid and short campaign, crashes, bugs, lags, freezes, progress in MP doesn't save, server crashes. I can't even play one round without crash!!! Levolution looks just like stupid childish explosions, 2 years they were making it, Frostbite 3 is much worse than Frostbite 2. The only positive moment is graphics, but... The AI is just awful.

    We all know that battlefield has a great history of awful campaigns ,but this one is just absolutely empty. The plot is really uninteresting, even though it tries to give us a brief overview of characters the game ends too soon to make us feel anything for them. Story has to show all vehicles (air/ground/water) not just few of them and it really lacks freedom in game play ,i mean really its battlefield series after all so i would at least expect possibility to change story path by choosing my own actions The end mission decision really does not count). But never mind the story mode ,lets talk about the diamond of the battlefield series.

    The Multiplayer. Oh my god ,the multiplayer. I will not lie ,i did have some fun playing it ,but i could as well say that i did have some fun playing call of duty for 30 minutes and threw it in my games box afterwards. We all know about these common pc crashes (applies to single player too) and disconnects that seriously hurt when you are having a clan match, these problems SHOULD NOT EXIST, as the beta was absolute disaster we should at least expect technical improvement after so much torture, but no ,it really feels like the focus of all time was the consoles even though the game plays nearly as awful. A personal issue for me would be the sniper class, in hardcore mode they are absolute quick scope master class ,i am saying that because i tried the class and i got 300 kills in about 6 hardcore matches. We all know that at the moment air rules the battlefield as the ground vehicles were nerfed while air was powered up to the max ,you can dominate the battlefield without any unlocks.

    I will give this game a 0 ,not because it is that awful ,but because the Dev's did not put effort in the things that make battlefield play like BATTLEFIELD. I am really disappointed, because i spent around 600$ to improve my pc so i could run the game flawlessly ,while it really doesn't show any features that should require such expensive gear.

    I love battlefield series and i will not tolerate if this game gets destroyed because of devs focus towards unecessary features instead of what the game really is about.    … Expand

    Have you ever played any other Battlefield or Call of Duty game? Well then save your money because this is no different. The "gameplay" is boring and repetitive. The story is awful. The online mode is great, if you think 64 7-year-olds calling you a is great. There are no redeeming qualities to this "Game", save your money and buy Wind Waker HD or Batman: Arkham Origins.

    Don't buy it yet. Game issues won't be sorted till at-least January. Its an absolute mess right now.
    Bullet hitreg is more miss than hit, the game is poorly optimized for all but the most powerful graphics cards.
    It crashes all the time and will frustrate you with its many bugs and lack of polish. Stay away until a good few months of patches have been applied!

    I haven't touched SP as that isn't why I buy BF games but from experience in multiplayer, let me tell you... It is littered with bugs, game breaking bugs. My first few days prior to launch consisted of the worst rubber banding I've ever experienced in any video game, it was so terrible in all play count servers that I never even noticed any of the other bugs the game has.

    Though a week after launch the rubber banding issue is fixed (For myself at least, not everyone it seems) but now I get to experience wait times almost as long as play times because of constant client crashes that rarely see me end a game without a crash, my battlelog stats tell me I have a 55% leave rate so basically I leave at least once per round if not more, it even crashes when loading up sometimes.

    Releasing a game in this state is inexcusable, it doesn't matter what you say, a game as broken as this doesn't deserve to even be released yet and it's freaking amazing that they managed to put a game on sale that is even buggier than it's beta state!

    TL;DR: Don't bloody buy this broken buggy piece of ass, hell even when it is fixed (Or should I say, if?) don't even buy it, they've pulled the same as BF3 and I'm sick of big companies getting away with it while the kids sit back and say "Hey man, you should expect bugs for such a large game"    … Expand

    Quite honestly, as an actual Creative Director (yes, it does have caps) with over 15 years of experience in the industry, I would NEVER have allowed this game to be out. It's SP game sucks and has horrible dialog that makes little to no sense, the music is 1980's style and quality and is    I cannot, for the life of me, understand why this game is getting even this high of a score.

    Quite honestly, as an actual Creative Director (yes, it does have caps) with over 15 years of experience in the industry, I would NEVER have allowed this game to be out. It's SP game sucks and has horrible dialog that makes little to no sense, the music is 1980's style and quality and is repeated EVERYWHERE... the animation is iffy at best and there is more interpenetration of objects than in any game I have seen in the past 10 years.

    I wasted my money so don't YOU do the same.

    This is a good game, but i have a 50% quit rate because of the awesome bugs that kick you from servers. If this many people are having problems then don't release the game. Make sure it works first. My guess is that EA wants to win the worst company in the US for the third year in a row though, so they are just making sure that we vote for them.

    Killcams itself up all the time. Campaign is short, and has a damn ending. AI is better than in BF3 but still not that good.
    I also find the maps in bf3 way better. TDM and SQDM is completly in bf4. The graphics are much better which i like quite alot. They say that there is LOTS of more destruction in the game, but it doesnt feel like it. Maby the destructiion doesnt really have the same impact on the game as it did before.
    The levelation works fine, nothing special really. The best Thought that the diving would be cool, but sadly you cant swim downwards, its like going prone, you swim just under the watersurface.
    The biggest problem about the game which i don't see any way to fix. Is the similarity between bf3 and bf4. It feels like the same game. You'll get bored quite fast of it.
    This is just a portion of the negative things i could say about it. But im not going 2 waste more of my time here.
    If you buy both premium and bf4, you get 1/2 game for the price of 2.    … Expand

We were promised so much by EA and DICE and we payed them good money (Some people even pre-payed for PREMIUM bring the bill to $110) but what do we as consumers get in return for staying loyal to the series? Another slap in the face by EA and their greedy higher ups because once again, I feel that EA only cares about getting money and not trying to push its developers for good quality games. I don't care if you disagree with me on this, but from EA's recent history with their games from Battlefield to Need For Speed, they just keep screwing sh*t up.

    EA and DICE should really see from a consumer standpoint on how bad they are doing because people like myself are getting tired of screw up after screw up and soon enough, EA is not going to be making money because they have dissapointed their consumers too much.    … Expand

My machine meets all the recommended specs aside from Win 7 instead of 8. The opening cinematic ran fine but the game was completely unplayable. I changed the graphic settings from Auto (High) down to Low and saw no change.     This game is broken. I was a big fan of every battlefield game from the first bad company. While EA seems to have implemented some what of a pay to play system that is not my biggest issue. My issue is that I can not get this game to run. I get good FPS but at least every other match (usually before I finish a game) it crashes.     Well, I bought BF4 2 days ago, and I can say that, the game crashed about 20 times, its being unplayable Dice and EA Games don't show up to solve all those issues, my advice Don't Buy this game till they fully solve the crashes, and glitches.

The REAL problem is the NETCODE, which we don't know if it will be fixed (you can search NETCODE and BF4 in youtube to see what I'm talking about).     The best bug of all being if you use a particular silencer on a particular gun and fire it kills the sound for EVERYONE on the server. How this got past testing and the beta etc I do not know

    An unstable bug filled mess. No time was spent for Q/A and the product was released unfinished. I have yet to finish a match without the game or, worse, server crashing. When the server crashes you lose ALL progress. Highly advise to stay away for at least several months when they finally patch this game.

    Pretty good, but doesn´t work. My KD decreased because of the awful netcode and crashing. Please dice fix the game. When it works it´s one of the best multiplayer-fps:s, too bad it usually doesn´t work and is quite unbalanced.

    In addition to the bug nightmare I am also not very happy how the game design treats casual gamers: it says you' to them. Through leveling you get one weapon after the other in a specific order. But I don't want to judge them for only behaviour, because this behaviour is/was common behaviour, its the way how they implemented it: You are leveling so slow that its not possible to see the light in the end of the tunnel....

    Bugs can be fixed and my critics to the game design can be fixed too. I hope they can achieve to fix at least the bugs any time soon.    … Expand

    Fast forward several months. I figure today is the day I'll give the multiplayer a shot. After hearing all sorts of issues with the BF4 launch, I hoped by now they could have sorted out the kinks. First of all, to play the game you have to download a huge patch. Then you try and launch the game, but that doesnt work because you have download another stupid patch for the browser. Whoever thought that gamers want to use internet explorer to play your game should be fired. Anyway, I get the browser plugin working and now I'm trying to launch a game - any game. Just to see if this is worth a second more of my time. No you can't launch that game, you need to buy an expansion pack. Oh great - click another server same sh*t.

    Keep clicking on servers until I find one that doesn't ask me to buy another expansion pack. 30 seconds later the game launches and I click the spawn button. Three seconds later I'm kicked to desktop with a friendly message: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe. Rinse and repeat this 3 more times. Now lets try googling around to see if there are any answers on how to fix this problem, people are suggesting to disable windows firewall. Ok lets give that a go - oh that didn't work either. Lets try downloading punkbuster directly - why in gods name am I having to download this myself is beyond comprehension for a multimillion dollar blockbuster title like BF4.

    Now to recap, this is a game with crap single player (can't say I was surprised), and multiplayer that doesn't even work. So not only was this a ripoff at half off - but at any price.    … Expand

I have been playing since Battlefield 2 and this is by far the worst product they have ever put out. They tried dressing shiit in great RPG graphics and calling it good, well they were wrong. I have been playing since Battlefield 2 and this is by far the worst product they have ever put out. They tried dressing shiit in great RPG graphics and calling it good, well they were wrong. Some things I have noticed.

    - Same bugs exist upon release that has been in every game release. Glitches that manipulate leaderboards, repair bugs, one hit bugs, sound bugs. All have been in previous releases so why not expect they would be in a new one before releasing it.

    - AIRCRAFT- Stealth Aircraft. (1) Aircraft period take far to long to respawn. well over 3 minutes. If you like to fly you get autokicked for being idle. (2) Flares/ECM virtually useless. There is virtually no lockon warning before your sent to the ground in a fireball. (3) WAY TO MUCH AA. You can't go anywhere on a map without some form of AA shooting you down. In a combat situation missle reload times far to long. Decrease the time or make more of that weapon available such as BF2 had. (4) Stealth Aircraft has the worst gun site in the game I believe. U have barely a little dot in the hud that is hidden by the flight indicator making tracking virtually impossible. You have a better chance of hitting in an external view. Thats just the jets, lets go to a battlefield favorite!!

    The Helo's. In particular the
    - ATTACK HELO. Was an awsome model from games past. Little or no armor against any form of AA. And the gunner is as useless as its weapons seem to be. Guns, just as the Stealth Aircraft take far to long to reload. TV missles! Every Helo Pilots faveorite weapon to seat switch into has been nerfed so bad that it cant destroy a thing. And by a think I mean a fence. WTF!

    Any and ALL Armor is way overpowered. Have put 4 SMAW on target yielding mayby 50% damage. If that and trying to run and gun against that is crazy.

    Ok the Kits. Seems the the Assauly kit is WAY TO OVERPOWERED. One shot kills while using seem to be the motto in every server I go into. Weapons are overpowered compared to the other kits.

    Rarely get hit markers on anything. I Have put full clips into targets, many at close range and didnt get one hit marker yet one shot later im dead.

    Quite honestly I think I have finally gave in with this game. Ready to leave the gaming clan and quit playing altogether because of this game. Its frusterating going into a game that constantly crashes, or has more bugs than my backyard or all the horrible critiques and messages everywhere that DICE still wont fix the game. Instead they try to dress it up with a horrible DLC (China Rising) Addressed nothing, fixed nothing. You added a few new maps, a couple POS gadgets and think thats what we want?? Maps alone would be fine if you listened to the gaming community and fixed the game. I would really like all the money I have spent on this game from the Premium Membership to the Digital Deluxe version just refunded but that like hoping this game would be fixed is just a dream. Now while Im sure there will no doubt be a lot of Die Hard BF fans reading this, and I assure you I have been one since BF2 that they will say "Well, go play Call of Duty"! Ide say gladly. I have had all there games and they were tested right and release will little or no bugs. So DICE, take a page from their books. They obviously are doing something right.     Ce jeu n'est clairement pas terminé c'est une honte a ce niveau la, graphiquement le jeu est joli mais il faut faire la part des choses il n'en reste pas moins qu'un copié collé de BF3 qui était bien plus aboutis a mon gout.. Grosse déception je ne recommande pas du tout ce jeu.

    The game freezes all the time. Don't spend your money or your time for this piece of cr.p. It has been 1 month since the release but no proper update. Just go and dowload the pirated edition because EA deserves it!

    This game is unplayable. It crashes, there are glitches of glitches and the loading times are close to eternity. EA and DICE released a late ALPHA version instead of a normal game. I loved the series but they ruined it. I won't buy it anymore

    Trash. You have to jump there a thousand different hoops to get the multiplayer, yet I still can't even get the multiplayer to work. Single player is terrible. Don't waste your money.

I shouldn't be surprised but some of the glitches are evident in other games they have published and subsequently ignored. Spend far too much time debugging the game rather than playing. Typical "were working on it" replies and no actual fixes.
    Don't waste your money on the PC version.

    Unbelievably bug ridden in both the campaign and multi-player. I wish I could return it, it's such a frustration to play. Crashes a lot on two different PC's I've run it on. In the campaign the AI that is your team is immensely stupid. If you go behind cover they will push you out and away from it over and over again and stop right in front of you when you start shooting.     The season pass costs £40 in Britain, and adds everything that should have been in the game at launch. How they can make 2 DLC's within 45 days is beyond me. They couldn't have cut it out of the disk, could they?

    Basically put, Battlefield 4 is a game that would have been amazing if it was released in April or May, but EA had to have it out before Christmas. Dice is very tallanted, but due to EA's greed, they made a rushed, unfinished game. Save your money on this unplayable piece of rubbish.    … Expand

    Furthermore then even with the option of "realistic" bobbing of sights then they have tried to make a "realistic" feel. Which aside from the fact that its totally UNrealistic (how many feel the world around them weaving, undulating and bobbing when you run or walk?), makes the game even harder to play. I felt like had downed a bottle of scotch before i sat down to play.

    Leaving that aside, then there is basically nothing new in the multiplayer game. At all.

    The single player game - the campaign - is a joke. And not a good one at that. Too many (poorly) scripted events where you are sitting at the edge of the chair waiting to do a consol-like keuboard and mouse combination, which if you get it wrong forces you to waste minutes watching the same annoying cutscene again.

    At any rate then that doesnt excuse a shallow and one-dimensional story...

    SO, as far as im concerned then this was a complete waste of time and money. And in NO way able to do as it was planned: to take up the battle with the Call of Duty franchise ...    … Expand

    Broken game, updates are useless. Online is garbage. Just another call of duty with vehicles. Spawn points are just as bad. The actual player base is useless like a bunch of monkeys, with no brain.
    Graphics are nice, just wish this game wasn't ruined with the new features that absolutely ruined HC.
    Fix your game before release. This game is worse than any alpha release on any game I have played.

    I've been a fan of battlefield for several years but this will probably be the last release i buy .It has been released in an inexcusable unstable state with constant game crashes too many bugs to mention horrible hit registration making any attempt at competitive gameplay a completely random joke. DO NOT GIVE EA/DICE YOUR MONEY FOR THIS !. Such a disappointment.

    This game is .. not worth paying a dollar for and let me tell you why:

    * LOTS of bugs and glitches
    * LOTS of game crashes
    * Unbalanced weapons / explosives
    * Ridiculous spawnpoints right in front of an ennemy
    * Worst team-balance ever coded

    Really disappointed..

    For players looking for Rush gameplay, this BF4 is a sore disappointment.but if EA give us battlefield 2 and 3 with i will buy itseeming more like the Armored Kill and End Game maps. There are no maps like Grand Bazar, Seine or Aftermath.

    There are serious problems with the spawn on the defensive team of a few maps, resulting in many instant kills after spawn.

    Pros: absolute brilliant graphics, large maps, brilliant single player campaign .
    Cons: it will kick me off before I finish ANY multiplayer game, annoying habit of flicking me around 180 degrees, randomly freezes, playing on a 8350/7870 ghz/ssd computer, so it is not the specs plus the single player campaign has no such problems ( will play Crysis 3 high res no problems)

    Totally buggy and unplayable game. Among the show-stoppers is a 0-health bug that makes some players invincible. This happens every fourth-third time you die, and DICE still hasn't fixed it.

    Don't buy it, don't fund this crap.

    I can't understand how pro dev could release a game with a so bad netcode, and more patch are released more the game crash often !.
    But they are so lucky because there are no other alternative to BF4, FPS warfare with vehicules.

    Battlefield 4 could just as well be called Battlefield 3.5. The new Battlefield features are only marginal improvements over Battlefield 3, but even as such it leaves the competitors way behind. Hopefully the bugs will be squashed soon. [Nov 2013]

    Even if multiplayer wasn't buggy, Battlefield 4 would still only be a barely passable installment in all respects besides the snazzy graphics. EA and DICE played it safe by providing the same thing they did the last time around, with another phoned-in campaign and only minor alterations to the online.

    Battlefield 4 keeps soldiering on in the same footsteps as previous games in the series. The lack of worthwhile news makes you wish for more. Dice stays in its comfort zone calls for explosions and not much more. The series needs to evolve or fade out.
