The Multiplayer is amazing, its got a little bit for everyone. A few small maps for people who like grind-fests then you have some big maps such as Caspian border and Firestorm that will have you running from tanks and helos.

I give this game a 9 because its missing one thing, and that is the Classic HUGE Maps that BF is known for. Was hoping for a map similar to Highway Tampa from BF2, but BF3 is by far the best FPS of the year.

Politics aside, this game on PC out beats any of the competition, including its past games. The fact that no Xbox or PS3 games has ever seen such a wide multi-player. The PC version automatically gets 2 points over the Xbox and PS3 counterparts, because 24 player is nothing compared to 64 players. I can't see my buying the console versions, especially since they want you to pay to play online.

32x32 is awesome, and i expected nothing less, however i did expect some more, like 48x48, or 64x64. These new battlefields are so beautiful that i have spent time just exploring, so i can live with 64 player since having 64 guys shooting at me wouldn't give time to take in the Frost Bite that has attacked my heart!

The kicker is the "Back to Karkand" pack, which gives us old BF2 players complete nostalgia, just like watching the old X-Men or Transformers cartoon.

All in All, I must say that out of every FPS ever made, and the impact of their releases, because of this, this game must be no less than a 9.5, and a solid 10 for being the best FPS ever created when it comes to army/war games.

Having played multiplayer FPS for so long, the AI in single player always comes up short and few developers get it right. Easily the best FPS series to date, with its phenomenal graphics, weapon design, sound design, 64 player multiplayer, destructible environments and vehicles. This game feels new, but if you played Battlefield 2, you will feel right at home. Had no problem paying 60$ for it, even though most PC games cost 10$ less. Highly recommended.

Battlefield 3 does so many things right for the FPS genre. Large, 64 player maps? Check. Vehicular warfare? Check. Encourages teamwork? Check. Beautifully stunning graphics? Double check. Beautifully stunning graphics? Double check. DICE really pushed the envelope in developing the game and you can tell that this game has the blood, sweat, and tears of many people in their studio. While it may not be the genre defining title, I think Battlefield could definitely snatch the crown in it's next iteration if EA and DICE keep at it with the same ferocity. Despite how wonderful the game is overall, there are two big, glaring tarnishes on it. The first is campaign. I mean seriously, did no one at DICE say "Hey, campaign really sucks. How can we make it better?". Besides the story not making too much sense (and taking a huge turn out to left field at the end) there's still a couple of annoying glitches that persist from BC2, the most annoying being that enemy AI focus the majority of their fire on you and they see you from just about everywhere. What's the point of hiding behind a bush, or in a cloud of smoke when the enemy somehow knows you're there and will proceed to fill your digital body with lead. The second tarnish is the in-browser game launching system Battlelog. I appreciate the attempt at ingenuity and attempting something new, but it just doesn't feel right. I can't even change my in-game setting unless I'm actually in a game ("hey, can you guys not kill me 'til I fix my key bindings?") I hope they learn from this and just keep the game in the game next time around. Expand

Best game that has come out in 10 years..thank you Dice. This is the best tactical/teamwork game I have ever played. You need to work together to win the objective. Its not like COD where you run around aimlessly with grenade launchers and super speed jet feet with ninja like knifing abilities. Dice, just continue to patch the minor bugs and we are looking golden.

Some have been critical of the Singleplayer part, saying that it's too scripted. Personally I enjoyed it a lot, and can't see there being much difference in how "scripted" it is compared to Modern Warfare 3's Singleplayer. Battlelog, quirky at times, delivers a unique experience in stat tracking, and social gaming - think "facebook meets - stat central/UI". Many people have experienced stability issues, bugs, lock-ups, etc,...Personally, I have not. It seems that the majority of those who do have issues do not meet the system requirements, do not have the latest drivers or they simply do not understand the common nuances of a release such as this. Minor issues are expected, but DICE has already started to address most of the issues. In today's game release scenario, it seems unreasonable to expect a perfect launch but IMHO, DICE has come very close to perfection across the board.

I reload battlelog at least once a day in hopes of making it work again (it doesn't-- I have to exploit glitches like having a friend message me to make it work.) Origin and Battlelog should exclude each other. There's no reason to have an in-browser launch system for a game with it's own launch client-- ignoring the fact that by and large, Origin works just fine( --hasn't crashed on me).
I have to express complaints about updating your character model. You can't change it in-game, just through the infamous Battlelog.
Team chat is very large and blocks a full 25% of my screen; I still haven't been able to figure out voice chatting with my teammates (I wish it was like tf2), so I've been forced to use a 3rd party application.
Aside from those, it's fantastic. Squads actually aren't too bad, and I love mp to death.
But please, oh please fix Battlelog. I just want to play the game.

The jet went into an uncontrollable barrel roll, with flames shooting out the engine, and crashed into an oil refinery in an explosion so big and graphic, I almost ducked. Something that really bump up the experience for me, is the fact that there are really good graphic visuals, effects, movements, as well audio effects. The last thing I point about the game is teamwork, there are 4 types of soldiers, engineer, sniper, medic, assault. so in order to achieve a win in your team is working together, Other things that I noted is that controls are simple to use as you go as a soldier. The hard thing is to get control of aeroplanes and helicopters, but once you get the control of those machines you will most likely to become a master of the art of piloting. The Bad thing or maybe good for the enemy is that it takes a while to discover from where are the bullets coming, and even if you realize you will die, so the best is run for your live !

Multi-player is fun and action packed with walls crumbling around around as well as buildings from indirect fire. Game features a decent Single Player campaign with a good story mixed with a mainly Multi-player engaged game. Dozens of unlockables through Assignments as well as weapon mastery just make Battlefield 3 one of best first person shooters available. Destruction however has been scaled back slightly from its Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Which used the first Frostbite engine) for more of a strategic value. As what happened in Battlefield Bad Company 2 the terrain that was once a city if your on a urban environment was basically left in ruin at the end with no viable structures standing. Some see this as a step backwards however I see it as more of a strategy implementation. The sounds are amazing with more realistic sounds with it either be the snaps of bullets wizzing past your head or the sound of bullets impacting concrete near you it sounds very close to being real life. Destruction on the new DLC is amazing as well with the game being pretty balanced in terms of guns and the rock paper scissors game of vehicle warfare. With the magnitude of warfare alone this game makes the other game of a similar name look like child's play (Modern Warfare 3). This game is a true Modern Warfare game with a very wide spectrum of warfare from infantry to air to air and air to ground combat as well as vehicle combat. If your looking for a shooter with a purpose other than to kill the enemy this is the game for you. If your looking for a game with a full spectrum combat and massive chaos this is for you. If your looking for a game that just runs around and kills people for a higher body count for "Bragging rights" this really isn't ur game. Walls cumble, ground gets deformed and buildings come falling down.

With the multitude of game modes there should be enough for everyone's preference.

Conquest and Conquest large is basically a Take and Hold game centered around a set of flags.
Rush is an attack and defend game primarily around a set of defined objectives (Usually 2 MCOM Stations) that need to be attacked to advance and as the defended, needs to be defended to win.

Squad DM and Team DM sounds as it is. Squad DM is a Squad-Based Death Match where as Team DM is a infantry on infantry warfare with the objective to make the other team run out of tickets first (Tickets = Spawn count).

Battlefield 3 is an awesome vehicle based combat game that is heavy on chaos and destruction compared to the other watered down shooters that came out the same year.

Dedicated server stability is an issue to this day, as well as client stability. The game is great, besides the single player, but I, and a lot of other people, don't enjoy playing when there's nearly always a game-crashing bug that's going to appear. I also had my own dedicated server for a bit, and sadly, they made it impossible to get traffic to stay on our servers due to the complete lack of care to ensure the systems were stable when released. (How else does Karkand come out and they include a bug that crashes an entire server, easily?)

Server and client issues aside, there is also the fact that the single player is a god-awful setup of super-linear COD style "shoot down an alley at infinitely respawning goons" type gameplay. Apparently whoever was in charge of the single player has no idea what battlefield is known for, because anyone with a brain would have made the gameplay the opposite of linear. perhaps if the single player had used the series' strength as a tactical shooter instead of trying to pretend to be call of duty in the single player, it might have been more remarkable. Instead, we got an awful linear, very **** single player. Which is really too bad.

What upset me the most was the absence of the Commander role Dice really took a large chunk of the team experience which i really did dislike. Expand

I've been playing the Battlefield franchise since BF1942, and this game has ruined everything about Battlefield. The game focuses mostly on graphics, and not the gameplay. Not to mention that the helicopters are outrageously powerful.

To be completely honest, I have never seen a mainstream game published with so many bugs and flaws. From little issues such as being able to shoot your gun straight ahead and you vault over a railing, to larger problems like broken weapon mechanics that take ages to be fixed.

I have little to praise about this game. The graphics, while not terrible, have some really overdone effects such as the glare filter being not only unrealistic but quite annoying. I don't think the people at Dice know what outside looks like. At the same time, every map seems to consist of just different shades of one color, because that's realistic looking apparently. The destructible environments, while not terrible, are inconsistent and there are plenty of times where a chunk of a building will be indestructible yet it looks exactly like a piece that you can destroy. The weapons are made so the ranges on them are terrible even on regular assault rifles, forcing you to get up close and personal with your target. This is probably done to make it seem more intense, to cover up for some lazy gun programming on the developers part. For anti-aircraft launchers, their range is also extremely limited. I assume this is to balance game-play (Because war is known for being balanced), but it only forces you to get right next to the vehicle you are aiming at to hit your target with one of these. I'd like to point out that the missiles in this game, again in what seems to be an attempt to balance the game out, go incredibly slow, and most vehicles can actually outrun your shot even if it is locked onto them. What a genius idea. A vehicle outrunning a missile, because missiles are known for moving slow. Overall, coming from a battlefield fan, this probably wont please fans of the series as all it does is add a shiny coating and make the game look nice, instead of having good game-play. Even the features such as the graphics that people seem to praise a lot are honestly not that great, and while it's not necessarily awful, there are much better online FPS games that you could probably spend your money on. It doesn't do anything new, which wouldn't be bad if it did what it does well, but sadly it seems like an attempt to cash in on the series name. If you want a BF game, stick to one of the classics, and hope that the future ones will be better, though judging by the sales of this, things look grim. Expand

While that was fun and all, the entire time I had looked at the maps in wonder of what they could be with 48 more players and extra flags to capture. Finally at long last I have gotten a reasonable graphics card to play this game on PC, and boy was it worth the wait. I play on Medium, and the graphics are just stunning. The Coma-Rose for giving commands and asking for help is fantastic. I love the I can ask for help, say thanks when someone helps me out, or deny an order that sounds like suicide. It really helps add to the authenticity of the game. The 64 player matches on the largest maps like Caspian Border, Operation Firestorm, and the Karkand Maps, is some of the most intense and fun experiences I've had in a Multiplayer game. Working a in a squad with pros is an experience I just haven't and can not have in other multiplayer shooters, so great job DICE.
Obviously the campaign is the same as it is on the console, but hey, it looks and runs better. I'm enjoying going through it again. It's no Call of Duty 4 or Halo: Combat Evolved, but the story is alright and it does have some pretty awesome moments. Sound and graphics (Like I said I run on Medium) are crazy good. I play in 1920x1080 and it is just incredible. Eventually I will be getting a second of my video card (GTX 280) and a quad core with a new mother board, and then I'll be able to see this game in high. I'm looking forward to it. The environments are just beautiful, whether its an endless desert with burning oil, the peak of a mountain, the Streets and Subway tunnels of France, or masterfully detailed and wartorn cities of the Mideast, this game will blow you away.
Origin wasn't a hassle for me, and the browser launcher seems to be working fine. I have been able to connect to my friends fairly easily. The only feature I don't use is the Origin/Browser voice chat. My friends and I stick to Skype in case we are playing different games. This is a great game. I personally think It is well worth the sale price. Karkand will run you and extra $15, but BF3 is constantly on sale through Origin, Amazon and the like. If you are looking for a great game aimed at teamwork or just an awesome shooter, this is a game worth looking for. If you are currently playing this game on console, in due time you may want to upgrade your computer, it really is worth it. The only thing that kept this game from a 10/10 is some minor bugs, slightly lazy writing in the campaign, and it is kinda poorly optimized for older video cards like mine (it took me a while to find the perfect settings to make this game smooth).

The maps are console maps pure and simple , not a damn one of them save for the really really big ones are playable with anything more than 24.

There is also some balance issues. A few gadgets will have players frustration at new levels , namely the cheap flashlights that blind players in broad daylight, the mortars that can be used in protected zones and have infinite range and AA tanks that beat battle tanks.

there is also rubber banding , both in bullets and in players. So be warned like all dice games this one launched with some very rough edges

A near-excellent game. There are a few downsides, among which I should mention the short (but typical for a modern FPS) campaign length of 5-6 hours. At times it's very challenging, and at times the AI is braindead. All in all the SP is short but sweet.

The co-op campaign is also a nice addition and it's very fun to play with a friend. However, the true value lies in the multiplayer.

The co-op campaign is also a nice addition and it's very fun to play with a friend.

However, the true value lies in the multiplayer. Some bash this game and say it's not a "true" successor to BF2. Au contraire, it lives up to its legacy, despite shortcomings like no in-game VoIP (which is replaced by a VoIP client built into BattleLog). Speaking of BattleLog - it's a great addition. You can view the outcome of your games, check your performance or switch servers in no time. Streamlined, but deep.

Back to MP gameplay: It's typical Battlefield on large maps, with plenty of vehicles, but also enough infantry combat to keep it entertaining. Destruction isn't as overdone as in Bad Company 2, and it's easy to understand why - a flat landscape just isn't fun to play in. There is virtually no lag - the netcode is perfect, allowing 64 players to enjoy the game.

System requirements may be high, but it's for the greater good. The visuals are stunning. Crysis, The Witcher 2, Metro 2033. Battlefield 3 is better in most areas. And the sounds? Bad Company 2's sound was great, but BF3 takes all that to a whole new level. Turning your volume all the way up might just scare your neighbour so bad he might run off to the bomb shelter in his backyard thinking a war broke out.

Put short: The campaign isn't very memorable, and it's short, but it's enough to keep you entertained when your internet is down. And the co-op is a nice icing on the sweet cake that is the multiplayer which is more complex and deep than any previous BF game's and might keep you pinned to your seat for hundreds and even thousands of hours.

Últimamente todo los shooters pecan de tener un modo campaña muy corto y potenciar mucho más el multijugador, algo que aunque está bien, hace que a veces se nos haga muy caro pagar un juego con una modo solo jugador tan corto.

I was a fan of the Bad Company single players. They weren't the best, but at least the characters had some personality. BF3 single player is not good. DICE tried to be cod (and i don't think cod has a good sp either). Far to often DICE resorts to stupid quicktime events, which involve repeatedly pressing a button to do stupid stuff. For me? I bought this game soley for the multiplayer, so it is the perfect game. Im not a battlefield vet in the sense that i did not play BF2, but i have been playing nothing but BFBC2 for over a year now.

The quality of the features that it offers however, varies from game mode to game mode, ranging from average to good to incredible. The average is obviously the single player, which, apart from its tank section, is a complete rip-off of previous Call of Duty games, from the linearity of progression and the setpieces, to even the type of flashback storytelling we saw in CoD Black Ops just last year. And while this would have been ok if the story or action were any good, the plot feels limp and emotionless and the action doesn't offer anything as exciting as its competitors or even its other game modes. The good mode is the co-op mode, which is a slightly more story based version of MW2 spec-ops. Its good because it puts 2 players in some cool situations, like where one player is flying a helicopter while the other player is the gunner, but unfortunately there are too few missions to truly make this a fleshed out mode, meaning that once you have unlocked the co-op exclusive weapons for multiplayer, you probably won't come back for more. The incredible mode is the multiplayer, which is quite possibly the biggest, most frantic and explosive multiplayer in modern gaming. Up to 64 players each doing their thing, forming squads, taking over flags, ruining the enemy teams day, is what Battlefield multiplayer is all about and it is way more exciting than any other game simply because of how free-form it all is. The combat situations a player can potentially get into offer far more excitement than any linear single player can ever hope to, and with tons of unlockables for the 4 classes and for all the vehicles, there's plenty to keep coming back to for months on end. Overall, it's like I said. The single player is just average, the co-op is good, not great, but the multiplayer is what makes this game a real must-buy for every shooter fan. Expand

The singleplayer knocks it down a point, and the HORRIBLE GAME BREAKING BUGS that occur every now and then remove another point. Multiplayerwise, there is no arguement. If you want vast battlefields, large maps and vehicles, you can't get that anywhere else. Similarly, you can get objective-based gameplay in close quarters too, even with no vehicles just gun on gun. Team Deathmatch is finally here, along with squad deathmatch. Battlefield 3's multiplayer brings you unparalleled realism without making the game boring. It's simulation but is balanced, appealing, rewarding, accessible to most players and most of all- FUN! If you watch top plays, you don't see the variety and creativity in skill, style and epicness anywhere else. Call of Duty's tricks have been exhausted by the community, but Battlefield 3 isn't an arcade trick-shooting simulator, but an actual Battlefield which isn't for hardcore simulation fans of America's Army. As for single player, the critics do under-rate it slightly. Yes, it's a cliche with little additions. But it is very well focused and scripted to feel intense and realistic. Hardest difficulty does its job- makes you play it as if you were there in real life. The two Dima missions are some of the best action you'll find in a video game- they are so badass because you're actually playing in one of those epic Russian Hollywood style sequences. Gone are the crazy antics of the Bad Company crew and in is the Modern Warfare inspired gameplay but unlike CoD4, this is a Battlefield and not an arcade shooter. It's still linear, but in a good way. Of course, the campaign is far from being anywhere near as good as Call of Duty 4's even by today's standards, but the gameplay, controls and the incredible Frostbite 2 game engine make the campaign feel very polished and engaging. No matter how uninspiring it may be, the game engine and controls make it feel more different than it actually is. The buildings and rooftops have taken some inspiration from the Mirror's Edge styling department at DICE, which is a good thing. It's also a joy to see that they've worked so hard on making the controls fluid and made good use of the updated engine. Remember the CoD4 days when firing a gun felt like firing a gun? Well Battlefield 3 kind of brings that new feeling back. It's nice to see that Battlefield 3 has taken sensible and revolutionary ideas from Call of Duty but evolved them and put their own twist on it. One thing I have to comment on is that the graphics aren't as jaw-dropping as you'd expect even on Ultra, with very little difference between Ultra and High. Co-Op is short, with only 6 missions at around 10 minutes each. There's a good mix here with action-focused gameplay, but nothing particularly interesting or new. Battlefield 3 doesn't make new additions to the franchise or the genre in co-op, campaign or multiplayer. What it does is incroporate generations of good ideas into a neat game engine, with almost flawless results. The game itself has very few problems and the multiplayer offers a complete Battlefield experience which is accessible to newcomers but will please hardcore fans too. In terms of quantity other shooters offer more unique game modes multiplayer-wise. However, the variety of being able to choose between large-scale warfare with vehicles and close infantry battles makes Battlefield 3 a commendable package. Just make sure you're prepared to pay a hefty price for the hardware to run it. Overall, this game's greatest achievements are found in the impressively modern-looking (and demanding!) game engine and most of all, the controls. Few, if none other games make movement flow as well as Battlefield 3. Expand

As will all multiplayer games, don't expect to just join a random server and be at the right skill level - or think that playing on a 64 player server can feel lonely without people on communications (either using Battlelog or a 3rd party app). Use the filters and look at the options that the servers provide and you will find exactly what you are looking for with this game.

Origin is clearly an exceptionally horrible application, but I feel it hasn't got anything to do with DICE or the Game. I have researched the permissions the application uses and have ensured personal content is kept away from it. I would easily give Origin a negative score -10 and will help protest against the violation of privacy it imposes on its users.

The story is linear, the character models were very non-unique, and it was clear that they tried to implement some of the cinematography story-telling that was in MW2, but they don't do it nearly as well. There were some levels that were good in BF3 - featuring the use of vehicles and introducing some of the vehicles that you'd be using in multiplayer, but the story itself just wasn't very good. (Score: 6) The multiplayer game itself is very fun. The graphics are amazing and the levels were adequate. It uses the same formula as BC2...which is that it requires you to use teamwork to win. However, it isn't without its problems. The spawn points on the map are retarded, in that the game spawns you in the dumbest possible spot - even though you get to pick the spawn location/area. A lot of the times I died right after spawning because the game would put me in the most open area possible. The multiplayer game itself is fine, but the platform used to connect to games is retarded. Connecting through something that looks like a regular webpage (through Origin) is tedious. Origin is glitchy and caused my game to crash multiple times both in game and in the process of joining games. The auto join doesn't work very well either. I hope they fix this over time. EA really should have went with Steam on this one...

But, it lacks originality with cliches from war movies and scenes and dialogue you could hear and see in any military film. After the singleplayer, comes MULTIPLAYER. It is hella' good, fluid controls, and quick fighting. The maps are all diverse from the narrow alleyways of the Grand Bazaar, to the open plains of Caspian Border. BUT, there are 2 downsides to the Multiplayer, 1) Aircraft Controls, the controls feel awkward (on the PC at least). They feel like there is 2 things you can do and are not very fluid. And 2) Maps (Compared to BFBC2), The maps are something that could've been done slightly better. They don't have the same destructibility, even with Frostbite 2, and they don't feel like TRUE, tactical maps. After the MP and the SP. I think my #1 complaint in this game is the client side hit detection. there is simply no excuse for this what so ever. The numerous glitches still existing have the entire community pissed off as well of course and well it just wasn't finished. After BETA feedback they should have realized they needed to push the game back and do a giant overhaul. Everything they tried to "add" from BF2 were somewhat decent ideas in theory but in the end they all failed. Sure it looks cool to jump over objects but half the time it doesn't work. They wanted to switch up the equipment of classes and made engineer the only class that makes sense. They wanted to give LMGs bipods and suppression so now they generally fail because suppression doesn't give you stats like most people want. Sniper rifles were OP in BC2? Oh I heard it was LMGs in BC2. Everyone is going to whine about something but with piss poor hit detection and horrid hit boxes there was 0 reason to expect a sniper to get a headshot every time no matter how skilled. Oh and air battles, yes the air vehicles. It just warception. A battle within a battle. When I'm on the ground I can ignore choppers and jets but when I am in a jet I can forget about shooting anything on the ground. More destructibility? No, maybe prettier but not more. Its perfectly defined. I take out the same chunk of wall every time if I can even take it out. I can blow this up and this up but not this car or fence? I don't see why developers won't just take game mechanics that work. Change maps and update graphics and destructibility and release it. Why change so many stupid things? I love the game and am having fun. But I don't see myself dumping a year into it. Once I hit max level I am pretty sure I will be done with it. I have no faith in the FPS franchise anymore ever to release a solid game again. Expand

Single player is quite interesting with how they bring the story to life with the concepts of this game and multiplayer is where it's at. Unfortunately, some things are hindering, such as the battlelog setup, the difficulty of using voice chat, and some glitches/hiccups in the game. in one of the rounds, I remember being spawned in a "dumpster" (half open...looks like a bug metal shelf/tray) and I went prone to protect myself from enemy fire. Suddenly, I was squeezed through the wall of the dumpster like it took a dump and I was visible to the enemy, suddenly dying when I should have been protected. Also, you can't blame the game for this, but stupid online team members who shine their flashlights and lasers in your face are hella annoying. On the bright side of that, going blind by a laser in a video game shows how much work they put into the game. Small things like that brings more tactics....if you're shining it towards the enemy....

Other than those small issues, which will eventually be smoothed out with patches and flat iron, the multiplayer is where it's at and does a swell job at it. Just find a good group of trusting friends and you'll enjoy this game a lot.

From a hard core fan of the series since 1942. I LOVE this game. I was a little thrown off by Battlelog at first, but it turned out to being a pretty cool way to do things. Ive personally not had any problems with it, not since the Beta at least. This game obviously shines the most in it's multiplayer, it's what will keep me playing for months, possibly years like I did with 1942 and BF2. On the other hand, the single player is a little iffy, it's pretty good. But this game didn't need a single player to begin with. The old school PC Battlefield's never had one, so I wasn't really expecting anything out of it. There are a few things as of now that I hope they fix with the gameplay, but it's a great game, and for sure beats the hell out of MW2.5. Expand

Great sound! Great looks! Campaign could be better but still fun! Spawn system playing TDM is horrible. TDM maps are quite poor. Conquest and Rush modes work better. All in all a great game thats not filled with bugs, glitches and hackers like modern warfare 3.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is really good fun, grab 4 friends and join the fun of this game. Lots of cool stuff, Graphics , the playability, fun fun fun. But this game is very demanding, i mean you need to have a very good PC to be able to play it at it's best, which kills some fun of it but no matter it is still fun to run with an RPG and shoot a hole into a building. With some bugs which are annoying i think there more good then bad in this game. Campaign was amazing until the end. Why did they make such a bad ending... It looks like a CoD ending i was very disappointed at that but otherwise very very nice campaign. Expand

I have had so many fun experiences playing BF3 with friends, anywhere from pushing the last M-COM for the win or wrecking face in the chopper. The graphics, while fairly demanding for the average gaming rig, are great, 9/10. Now while I am not a fan of EA's decision w/Origin, at least it isn't clunky and unresponsive. Battlelog may have some issues from time to time and I know people complain(I have too), BUT come on people, I don't remember the last game I played that had all the glitches fixed upon release. Cut them some slack, beings this is like one of the few games that executes a browser launcher fairly well. 7/10. The single player is quite lacking, the whole interrogation/flashback thing has been done before but, the missions aren't too tedious and the visuals add even more too it. 5/10. Multiplayer is where this game shines the most. Apart from some server being laggy, or the dreaded 64-man Metro Conquest, there is only fun to be had. With a myriad of different weapon and gadget unlocks, there is quite a bit of ways you could play each class. I only wish they would've added in-game squad chat for those times where you are stuck with someone you don't know. Overall, BF3 is a blast to play with friends and with random people most of the time, I think it is a must buy for fans of teamwork, FPS, and overall kicking ass. Expand

The new Battlefield from EA Dice is just another prototype of generic shooter with high jumping graphics, excellent sounds effects and OST, Great gameplay with and incredible multiplayer mode but deficient IA, unforgettable story mode and so expensive to enjoy in maximum settings.

Beautiful game with great sound and great multi-player. I'm not crazy about the forced social networking business, and the single players excessively boring campaign. If your team is a bunch of renegades, and not working together, it's almost certain your team will lose, which can be infuriating, but when your team is clicking there is no other experience like it. It's all a matter of taste, after all. They each provide a certain type of entertainment – when talking about Battlefield 3, it involves a bigger game, more open in its possibilities and more spectacular. But on a longer timeline, less frantic and with fewer Bruce Willis scenes than the mass appeal beast it set itself to dethrone.

No, Battlefield 3 is not the best game of today. But good looking – definitely. It also has an absolutely addictive multiplayer. Who needs more? [Dec 2011]

Both a triumphant leap forward and a return to form for the Battlefield series. This is the best multiplayer shooter on PC. [Christmas 2011, p.58]
