    Why is my love always on battlefield? - it´s awesome: unbelievable game. The multiplayer is bigger and better than all the previous BF games. The shooting mechanics are top notch. Pick up BF 3!

    I am highly impressed with the improvements that Dice created. The single player has a sharp edge to it, the co-op is tricky but exciting with the rush that it gives you and the multiplayer has a moment of adrenaline rush involved. With it, the gameplay and graphics are pleasing with the Frostbite 2.0 engine giving the environment such a beautiful contrast into it and the character modelsI am highly impressed with the improvements that Dice created.     BF2 was a real kicker a few years back and now DICE has come back to serve us this beauty.

    An all around better experience than the previous one. I especially like the vehicle spawning system. Less friendlies shooting me in the back this time around.

    Granted, there have been some server issues, but hey...nobody is perfect.

    The game is great, Battlefield 3 is pumping me with energy to move on and on and on!
    Singleplayer isn't that much best, but uhm it's still better than MW3, which is a really bad bad game.

This game is a gold rush compared to MW3, which in fact is just MW1 with a little better weapon designs, thats about it. The origin thing is stupid but that isnt what i am criticizing.     Great graphics, scales amazingly with Nvidia's 2D surround (although during game launch there were some bugs that wouldn't let me play the game in surround, but those were quickly fixed), beautifully built maps. Battlefield 3 is the best first person shooter available. Well worth the 60 bucks.

    Graphics, physics, gameplay (i mean multiplayer). Superb.
    All those technics, gadgets, weapons interaction on a medium to large-scale battlefield. Now it is possible. Awesome.

    Out of nowhere Battlefield 3 came to shake up it's competitors, and it did just that. This has been the long awaited return of the original Battlefield series and it came back with a bang, Whilst it may lack an amazing blockbuster singleplayer like its rival, it allows players to become farmiliar with the game before heading online where the true magic happens. What makes this game uniqueOut of nowhere Battlefield 3 came to shake up it's competitors, and it did just that. This has been the long awaited return of the original Battlefield series and it came back with a bang, Whilst it may lack an amazing blockbuster singleplayer like its rival, it allows players to become farmiliar with the game before heading online where the true magic happens. What makes this game unique is it's use of detail, from destroying buildings, to knifing, to watching ambient scenery, it can have pause moments and you will want to come back for more. What I originally saw from a Brothers in Arms demo video, the use of 1st person acting became a reality, being able to see your own character climb over obsticals gives the player a better sense of immersion and really adds to the level of detail the developers wanted to give players. This game also boasts extremely large maps, weapons and attatchments, and state of the art graphics which can be a bit of a challenge for the older systems, so be warned. The DLC content is also detailed, as for the frist time I've ever seen on a mainstream game, weapons! which really gives the game more life, and the upcoming DLC will see that for many more months to come, I think Dice realised they don't have to release a game EVERY YEAR to win over its audience, a single come back has already done that. I cannot say this enough, but teamwork is a must in this game, rambo just dont cut it and you'll be 6 feet under before you know it. Sure there's a few bugs here and there but Dice are already on top of the situation and a large patch is on its way. An amazing game, and i cant wait for the dlc. To the battlefield!… Expand

    Pros:
    Best Multiplayer expierence ever made.
    Great shooting mechanics.
    Great use of battlelog helps us track our stats and progression.

    Cons:
    Poor Single Player Campaign
    Coop looks like a crap practice system for noobs.

You don't need a super computer to play this, a $500-600$ (or even cheaper) PC with at least a $90 video card can play this game on medium settings with a descent frame rate.… Expand

    Definitely the best shooter I#ve played s ofar. Multiplayer can get pretty tactical, graphics are stunning (especially at night), weapon physics feel pretty natural, and even the single player story is well written and has a twist or two (coming from someone who is usually more into the Bioware-style RPGs must account for something :-)
    The only problem I see is the huge number of cheaters    Definitely the best shooter I#ve played s ofar.     this is a fantastic game for the pc. the graphics are awesome and the multiplayer will get you hooked for months and even years to come. blowing jeeps across caspian border will never end. singleplayer is not that good however, and i just think of it as a tutorial on multiplayer.

    Great game, beautiful, new, and one that cares about its buyers(so far). Unbelievable game...been playing it for about 5 hours now and it's wonderful. The multiplayer is bigger and better than all the previous BF games. The shooting mechanics are top notch and the map design exquisite. Pick the game up!

    This is the best FPS there is out there and probably will be until Battlefield 4 comes out. And it´s all about multi-player! Don´t buy this game if you want a good single-player story. It is decent but with barley any replay value with a 6-7 hours campaign it would be a waste. The CoD games are pretty amazing too but once you have played BF3 everything else feels very outdated. If you have a decent PC you must own this game. It´s an obligation. But a warning is that your standard for FPS games will reach sky-high. Once you go BF3 you´ll never go back.… Expand

    Singleplayer was alright, but Battlefield never really had singleplayers other than BFBC and 2. The graphics are amazing, realistic destruction and simply awesome. The graphics like the sun glare, which is a neat add on. The multiplayer is the champion here, great maps, guns. This is sort of the game that requires teamwork to win.

    Well. In short. We have official best game in history. singleplayer is like all other shooters around. Nothing special except too awesome graphics. Do not believe people comments that singleplayer is bad. It's just nothing special. I would not spend words about multiplayer because everybody know everything about that! Best gaming experience you may have! Period!

    I absolutley love this game! I first owned it on Xbox, and around 2 months ago i bought it for PC. Its spectacular! Graphics are epic, gameplay is awesome! Guns kick ass and with Frostbite 2.0 it is a MUST BUY!

    I have played battlefield since battlefield 1942 and battlefield 3 is just great the graphics are just amazing. When the game came out i woke up at 3 am just to play it and i was so excited a year on and im still loving this game have played 159 hours of it and dlc is adding to the game. I would highly recommend this game to anyone. One thing i don't like is the whole premium exclusion andI have played battlefield since battlefield 1942 and battlefield 3 is just great the graphics are just amazing. When the game came out i woke up at 3 am just to play it and i was so excited a year on and im still loving this game have played 159 hours of it and dlc is adding to the game. I would highly recommend this game to anyone. One thing i don't like is the whole premium exclusion and having to pay for 50% of the games content should be free and added to the game for everyone to use. Hacking has been bad in battlefield but its getting better and their are less and less hackers. I must say single player was not the best but it had its high points. If you into multiplayer games you will love this game to death. Over all Thank you DICE for all your hard work just don't turn in to a cod clone releasing games every year that are not finished or innovative.… Expand

    Battlefield 3 is a MUST have for all PC FPS lovers. This game has it all: from quick Join-SHOOT-KILL Frantic games to long, full on tactical WARS. The single player campaign was fun enough to get you started on how the game engine feels. The DLC's keep this game fresh with new game modes and assignments to complete. Short and Sweet: Multiplayer is what makes this series amazing.

    I brought this game when it first came out on Xbox and I thought it was really good for online including the co-op missions, and the campaign is also very fun although the is a glitch on the second mission to get out of the map.     in this game the story and the online changes a lot in the 2nd battlefield most of the story was on the desert , in this one its on the city. the online dosnt change a lot but it makes the game more as a real war. battlefield 3 online maps= big maps with a realistic war. call of duty´s    much better then Cod.

    The variety of weapons, vehicles and seemingly, customization options with Battlefield 3 Premium really allows the player to play to his or her's fullest. Premium is definitely worth its price, with all access to the 5 expansions packs in the game. Like many    Battlefield 3 is the only game defining, mind blowing game that truly defines a modern first-person shooter game by date.

    Premium is definitely worth its price, with all access to the 5 expansions packs in the game.

    Like many others, the Singleplayer and co-op is really broken, and unpolished. This definitely lead to the lower scores given by critics and us, true gamers.

    Stick with multiplayer, you'll love the BF franchise, trust me. I was once a CoD player. When i came over, i decided to upgrade my PC just for this game. And i've also played full 15 days of BF4 beta, reordered the full game.

    I know i should leave other (sceptical)games out in a review, but there's no point in buying CoD: Ghosts... Seriously, just think of it..    … Expand

The singleplayer campain is fun, the Coop is also fun but the multiplayer is the thing that makes the game achieve 10 stars.     Single Player: Actually pretty awesome I had a lot of fun playing this game on single player it was rush.
    Multiplayer: Now were getting to the good stuff there is around 30GB of Maps on this game lol, and without going into to much details this game is one of the best FPS games i have ever played.     this game is without a doubt in my opinion 10/10 fps game. graphics r from what ive experienced in my pc gaming, the best! contains many elements sticking to its battlefield roots, though true straying from many of its roots as well. This game promises something new even for the most seasoned battlefield veterens! Though i would not fully recomend to fans of Call of Duty series!

    I love this game, its great. but I have to admit the Single-Player was really boring. So Im gonna give the score to the multiplayer, the graphics are great, the gameplay is balanced, I would recommend this game only on PC, since the 64 players servers, not much problems with the game itself. 10/10 no questions asked.

    A must have for any FPS fan. This game truly sets the standard for an exciting multiplayer experience, and a fairly enjoyable single player game as well. Unlike many other games, Battlefield 3 is intuitive in design, and always exciting to play.

    I used to be a call of duty fan but got frustrated with the lack of innovation and costly content i gave Battlefield 3 a try, i am now a complete Battlefield fan and for good reason, this game has everything you will want in a FPS. Vehicle combat, infantry combat, short range, long range and the largest maps with amazing map design.     This is an Ego-shooter game of the new generation. High graphics, realistic and awesome gameplay, not so hollywoodish storyline, a high amount of weapons, a big amount vehicles and way more things make this a great game.

    This game definitely has it moments, most of the time it is just a bug or two but overall the game looks great they fixed all glitches and punk buster bans people for cheats all the time. Overall after all of the patches it deserves a 10. I love this game, even more now since net code issues are fixed.

    Much better in any aspects then BF4 better game theme (US/RU, Blue filter, etc.), better maps for fast/slow game types, it DOESNT CRASH, it is for me may be the best FPS game I ever played and I am starting to think that any future BF wont be so inovative and good to play as BF3. At least with BF4 it looks so far...

Since this game it's gone downhill (I Blame EA) I wish that they would re-release this game on the XBOX ONE and PS4 the only way you can get the full experience out of this game is by owning a PC that can run it at max setting which is rare because most PC's can't run this game and the one's that do cost over £700 so you have to be rich to play it.Best Battlefield in the series.     Эта игра напишу еще хоть 100 раз произвела революцию в онлайн играх, графика обогнала своё время на 8 лет где то (она не выглядит сегодня хоть какой то старой. а на момент того времени у меня просто челюсть отвисала. колфдюди сделала продукт примерно того же качества только в 2019) . не было женщин на поле боя с крюком вместо рук не было никакой лишней фантастики. мы часами долбились в метро мы проливали кровь на тегеранском шоссе мы умирали от скиловиков на самолётах у нас бомбило от челов которые спавнились на кране в каналах ноушехра спрыгивали и с парашута сбрасывали си 4 взрывая нас мы просто наслаждались каждой минутой в этой игре.
    таких же эмоций я не получал больше ни от одной игры, похоже что это бывает лишь единожды. огромное спасибо и игрокам которые например делали частушки в стиле батлфилд

    The best game in the entire Battlefield franchise, a very good campaign, a majestic soundtrack, some impressive graphics with many details, a complete epicity, the only thing was that I found 2 bug, but it does not matter since the campaign and the music is outstanding, etc. So I'm not going to judge that two bugs at all. My favourite has to be "Going Hunting" since it is so fun and I love how the music is implemented. The only mission I didn't like was "Operation Guillotine" since it was just standard boots on the ground but i understand why since it is integral to the game's story.     Ok, the single player is a joke, but you don't buy BF3 for the single player. The multiplayer is amazing. The maps are awesome and the classes are well balanced. Whats great about BF3 is that it actually rewards teamwork and tactics. Also don't be scared of the graphics requirements... runs surprisingly good on pretty low end systems.

The graphics are beautiful (wish I had higher than 560ti to run max), everything just looks and feels awesome. The maps are huge with great layouts, 64 player is rad, blah blah it's great you should get it.

After all, once BF3 is installed, it generally stays out of your way. Here, we review Battlefield 3. That being said, this game is not what I was expecting. It takes a lot from Bad Combat 2, yes, but it is certainly not a clone of it nor BF2. The in-game UI is simple and effective, the spawning options keep the old "Battlefield Sprint" to a minimum, and the customization options are easy to access and switch quickly during a round. The balancing is great for classes and weapons, not so great for some maps (Metro and Canals are the biggest culprits here). Leveling up is genuinely rewarding and easy to follow. The controls are dead simple. And above all, the graphics are amazing and well-optimized. Even on low settings, the game looks fantastic. As for the singleplayer, yes, it's lackluster. But most Battlefield games are not focused on singleplayer. It's basically a tutorial on how to play the game - it walks you through a lot of gun and vehicle options, and you learn how to control them in a safe environment. Sure, the story's bad, but if you're buying any Battlefield game for singleplayer (or, for that matter, any FPS) you're making a huge mistake. Co-op is better; while the story is virtually non-existent, it's still fun to play with a friend without dealing with respawning. Multiplayer is definitely where the game shines. Battlefield has always had top-notch team-based gameplay, and BF3 is certainly no exception. Glitches? I've seen a few, yes, but who hasn't in any FPS game? The basic gameplay mechanics work very well, glitches are mostly just cosmetic and excusable. I have only had the game crash once, and it was because Windows blew up. Battlelog is not as bad as people make it out to be; it is useful in a lot of ways, and while I do agree that having to use a website is a pain, you get used to it after a while. Adding friends to games is easy, especially in platoons, and generally lands you in the same squad on the same team. Get yourself a Teamspeak server, some friends, and BF3 is really a great game. Why 9/10? The singleplayer was bad, yes, but it's such an insignificant part of the game - basically just a tutorial - that it doesn't impact the rating that much. Origin was a giant mistake, sure, but it's only in installation and, from what I can tell, this Metacritic page isn't about Origin. The bottom line is this game is definitely one of my favorite FPS games of the past decade - maybe, just maybe, edging out BF2.… Expand

The 64 player matches on the largest maps like Caspian Border, Operation Firestorm, and the Karkand Maps, is some of the most intense and fun experiences I've had in a Multiplayer game. Working a in a squad with pros is an experience I just haven't and can not have in other multiplayer shooters, so great job DICE.
    Obviously the campaign is the same as it is on the console, but hey, it looks and runs better. I'm enjoying going through it again. It's no Call of Duty 4 or Halo: Combat Evolved, but the story is alright and it does have some pretty awesome moments. Sound and graphics (Like I said I run on Medium) are crazy good. I play in 1920x1080 and it is just incredible. Eventually I will be getting a second of my video card (GTX 280) and a quad core with a new mother board, and then I'll be able to see this game in high. I'm looking forward to it. The environments are just beautiful, whether its an endless desert with burning oil, the peak of a mountain, the Streets and Subway tunnels of France, or masterfully detailed and wartorn cities of the Mideast, this game will blow you away.
    Origin wasn't a hassle for me, and the browser launcher seems to be working fine. I have been able to connect to my friends fairly easily. The only feature I don't use is the Origin/Browser voice chat. My friends and I stick to Skype in case we are playing different games. This is a great game. I personally think It is well worth the sale price. Karkand will run you and extra $15, but BF3 is constantly on sale through Origin, Amazon and the like. If you are looking for a great game aimed at teamwork or just an awesome shooter, this is a game worth looking for. If you are currently playing this game on console, in due time you may want to upgrade your computer, it really is worth it. The only thing that kept this game from a 10/10 is some minor bugs, slightly lazy writing in the campaign, and it is kinda poorly optimized for older video cards like mine (it took me a while to find the perfect settings to make this game smooth).    … Expand

    It's all a matter of taste, after all. They each provide a certain type of entertainment – when talking about Battlefield 3, it involves a bigger game, more open in its possibilities and more spectacular. But on a longer timeline, less frantic and with fewer Bruce Willis scenes than the mass appeal beast it set itself to dethrone.

    No, Battlefield 3 is not the best game of today. But good looking – definitely. It also has an absolutely addictive multiplayer. Who needs more? [Dec 2011]
