    Campaign was so so, but this ludicrously deep multiplayer had me tied by the noose. The realim, and smoothness running even on low settings, Battlelog is awesome. I love being able to have that much detail in a profile.

    I have this on PC. I have about 30 hours logged excluding finishing the campaign on hard and all the co-op missions. I'll tell you this, BF3 has its plunders with a somewhat lack luster single player...but honestly who is buying FPS games to look forward to story? The multiplayer is AAA+ quality.     ORIGIN has been up/running the entire time since launch asides from maintenance and there hasn't been any "day1" patch or anything of that sort - the game was released well polished.

    Multiplayer is fun fun fun....Get this game if you're a fan of FPS shooters. The tactical realism coped with it's own "Battlefield" quirkiness really makes the gameplay unique. If you're looking for something besides a typical military shooter - get Battlefield 3.    … Expand

    Easily the best game ever created of the FPS genre and I've never really been a fan of the battlefield series. This game is full of such dynamic content and allows you to experience something new every single time you enter the game. Has single player, co-op, and a bad ass multiplayer. Need I say more?     Well Battlefield 3 is one of the best game i ever played. The campaign is short and not really interesting, but Battlefield 1942, Battlefiled 2, Battlefield 2142, Battlefiled 1943 have no campaign! But they're my favorites games! I'm a great fan of the saga and this BF3 is the most awesome multiplayer ever. After a week i have more than 40 hours of playtime in multiplayer... never happenedWell Battlefield 3 is one of the best game i ever played.     Fantastic game. Addictive Multi player. There are a few bugs but there is a patch on the way. Worth buying on PC for the awesome 64 player battles and an awesome single player. Best game of 2011

    This is basically the FPS that gamers deserve to play. I loved playing games like Black Ops up until now; BF3 takes it to a whole new level. Firstly, graphics are stunning. Secondly, gameplay is great. Some great features, the movement and HUD is very nice. Teamwork aspects are also very well done, and all the game modes deliver well.     Battlefield 3, suite logique du 2 (les Bad Company étant des genres de spin-off plus ou moins officiels), est BANDANT. BANDANT. BAN-DANT. C'est sans aucun doute le meilleur de la série, et j'irais même jusqu'à balancer "le meilleur jeu multi depuis des années". Tous les mécanismes de la série Battlefield ont été revisités et améliorés. Tout est comme avant mais en mieux.

    La maniabilité est incroyable : les commandes sont simples et pourtant diablement poussées. Le système de progression incite à passer vos journées sur le jeu, à tel point que ça en devient indécent. L'ambiance est réaliste. Tout est dans le détail. Les graphismes (splendides !) envoient du pâté à la vitesse du son, et le son justement est tout bonnement hallucinant.     Awesome sp, some bugs and issues are still plaguing some ppl but they should get fixed overtime. If you played open beta and liked it, you will love final release.

    Single player aside, this is the game i would take to the proverbial desert island if I could only bring one.

    It is, without question, the best multi-player FPS ever created.

    The most beautiful game on the planet, it has very realistic engine and its a real warfare not like mw3, look at the graphics man its awesome, you can drive you can shoot you do what you want in this game, ea invest a lot of money in this game so that is the reason i support this game, activision mw3 uses old engine and old games sold for a price of new

    Think of the single player as a tutorial system and this game makes a lot more sense. Fundamentally Battlefield is always about the multiplayer, and this has a fantastic multiplayer system. Most of the criticism has to focus on the awful Origin, but blaming that on Battlefield would be like blaming Left 4 Dead on any issues Steam had.

    Best online experience I have ever had. Explosions, vehicles, adrenaline, destruction, jets and everything you expect from a battlefield game. This is a masterpiece, BEST SHOOTER OF THE YEAR!

    DICE has just made one of the best online military shot em ups out. And, thanks to the revolutionary Frostbite 2 game engine, it is the prettiest way to do battle - as long as you play it on a PC rather than a console

    Multilayer is amazing, the game has no bugs, runs perfectly and looks amazing. This game is the best game ever made and will be forever. You never get bored with the amount of ways to play on each map. This game deserves a 10000/10. If you don't have this game then you are a massive noob.

    Wow! This game is just great! Everyone should give it a try, most of the mp maps are just brilliantly designed and are a ton of fun! With the new updates on origin there really isn't any downside to this game. :) Am currently putting alot of time Into this game and couldn't be any happier. Also, can't wait for back to karkand, that will be so awesome! See you on the battlefield!! :)

    Battlefield vet here... been around since Battlefield 1942 and have played every single Battlefield since then, including the Bad Company series. Battlefield 3 is is simply amazing, 10 / 10. The fact that this game has 587 negative reviews is no surprise though.... this is a thinking mans shooter. This is not a run-n-gun cooridor shooter like COD. This game throws you into massiveBattlefield vet here... been around since Battlefield 1942 and have played every single Battlefield since then, including the Bad Company series.     BF3 is epic in every way, it combines what made BF2 the best PC game of all time and adds on that, with tons of new stuff, awesome maps, amazing graphics and sound, and that BF game play that we all love and bringing back 64 players the way it was meant to be played..     Innovative game, had a rough launch for some people...i haven't experienced any game breaking issues...free expansion with pre-order...can't beat that.

    Multiplayer is still the same great formula, with so many ways to customize how you play whether you are going by scopes, attachments, perks or simply choosing the game mode you want with the options you want, it's cool.

My uncle was in the Military and he said Battlefield war as close as war is in iraq and afganistan. My uncle and I love this game. This game is definitely going to be around for years, like BF2. I debated dockeding a point because of the terribly low ceilings for the jets in some maps. I have a feeling this has something to do with being able to support the consoles, and I hope it gets patched out of the pc version - so if your a flyer, you've been warned. And there is no default ingame voice for squads. You have to set up a party in Origins to use voice, if your not in a squad with clannies utilizing TS/Vent. The vehicle battles are awesome! the sound is amazing, and the close combat is perfect! there is of cause small stuff that annoy you, graphic glitches, disconnecting from battlelog, but none of that is able to take awayExcellent game!     Best graphics ive ever seen, amazing gameplay and amazing sound. This game is a perfect 10 for me. The story of the campaign wasnt top notch though, but this is a multiplayer game so i see the campaign as an extra feautre.

    It deffinetaly got my laptop a work out. and my 7,1 surround system sounded like a real blast. that whas a expirience not to be forgoten. MUltiplayer is everyting i expected. Never bougt the game for single player. and havent played it

I played the single player and I dont really have an opinion either way. I dont care too much about the single player that takes very few hours to complete compared to the countless hours you can enjoy with the multiplayer. On theThis was what I was waiting for. They have Started to iron out all the bugs that the game has, with now most of them gone. but compared to the beta it is a huge improvement. The PC version automatically gets 2 points over the Xbox and PS3 counterparts, because 24 player is nothing compared to 64 players. I can't see my buying the console versions, especially since they want you to pay to play online.

    32x32 is awesome, and i expected nothing less, however i did expect some more, like 48x48, or 64x64. These new battlefields are so beautiful that i have spent time just exploring, so i can live with 64 player since having 64 guys shooting at me wouldn't give time to take in the Frost Bite that has attacked my heart!

    The kicker is the "Back to Karkand" pack, which gives us old BF2 players complete nostalgia, just like watching the old X-Men or Transformers cartoon.

    All in All, I must say that out of every FPS ever made, and the impact of their releases, because of this, this game must be no less than a 9.5, and a solid 10 for being the best FPS ever created when it comes to army/war games.    … Expand

    Graphics are amazing. When I play this game on low on my laptop, it is still one of the best looking games that I have ever seen. There is so much game content, that it would take me years to unlock everything.

    Amazing game with nice single mode. Battlelog is very cool for see a lots of stats on you and friends. Realist sounds and enviroments. Multi player is unbelieveble with 64 players on the map.

    Simply amazing game. I have been an fps fan for ages and played all the different series. This is easily the best fps game I've ever played. The single player campaign is a fun distraction, but multiplayer is where this game really shines.

    Such a great game. There are some noticeable glitches, like screen flicking green every now and then, but that doesn't stop me from coming back for more and more. Such a fun great experience. With tons of classic battlefield moments. Sounds and graphics are amazing. It's the first time in a long time that I got an adrenaline rush in a game.

There's nothing out there to suggest that BF3 single player is any different than what this genre typically produces, and I doubt I'll grind any more than the 30mins I've already put in.     After sitting and getting some real time in i think this was a great game by dice they never really slack when it comes to their games. Alot of people are kind of down on the single player witch i really like and as for the online play well it's the best out their MW3 can't even come close to what bf3 can do.     Honestly, I don't care what the single player looks and plays like. Playing the multiplayer is truly amazing. This game has such a unique atmosphere, game play, graphics, customization, that you will simply not feel at any other game. BF was always about multiplayer. And they out-done themselves this time. :)

    There is not a reason why this game should not be reveled as the pinnacle in first person shooting. Everything from the vehicles and the audio, the destruction and the fidelity bring this game to life! I would buy this game and give it a 10/10 for its Multiplayer alone. If anyone is looking for a great multiplayer fps then look no further. This is the best one to date!

    Amazing look and play to it. BF3 sticks to its roots from previous titles in the series but blows the competition out with the new Frostbite engine! I am proud to say I am an ex CoD fan. Campaign, however, is is average, but my hours will be on multiplayer, so it doesn't bother me much.

    This game is way better than CoD in every aspect. It's so realistic and the destruction is amazing. Stunning graphics. Got a 6950 radeon card and it runs great. Must buy!

    A proper sequel to Battlefield 2, Battlefield 3 brings fresh new maps, the brand new Frostbite 2 engine which is not only beautiful but includes 'Destruction 3.0', BF3 is a multiplayer experience that is both fun and exciting.

    Online play is fluid, realistic, and just fast paced enough to keep your attention without making you have seizures. The graphics are amazing. Personas don't look like cartoons anymore. The leveling system is a huge leap forward from the Bad Company 2. Highly recommend this one.

Two of the maps can be avoided for 64 conquest purposes (which is all you really need to be playing) 1st, Metro; I dunno who designed this map and thought it to be a good idea, but they should be fired, it sucks. 2nd, Damavand; This is similar to Metro but with a wider tunnel system but is still plagued with the who gets the middle base first, wins. Unless you get a decent amount of people behind with your littlebird. Apart from these two maps the other seven are great and hold many avenues for different gameplay and flanking. Each class has their own merits which can help your team greatly, though for pure gunplay and killing power the assault class is in a league of its own. The infantry gameplay does have a slight smell of CoD but then that really isn't a bad thing as CoD was once one of the best on the market (CoD1 and CoD4) though it's toned down and not on as much cocaine as CoD, it just makes infantry seem a lot more potent then other Battlefields were firing your gun felt like you were throwing stones at people. All around it's shaped up nicely but still has some working out to do, but I am sure DICE is in the gym now pumping keys, oh and guess WHAT?!     Best game that has come out in 10 years..thank you Dice. This is the best tactical/teamwork game I have ever played. You need to work together to win the objective. Its not like COD where you run around aimlessly with grenade launchers and super speed jet feet with ninja like knifing abilities. Dice, just continue to patch the minor bugs and we are looking golden.

    Excellent Game, they did just about everything right with BF3. The formula is in a really good place and there were some very smart decisions made. Amazing graphics and character animates as well. I can only imagine what could have been for the PC if they didn't have to refocus to get the console version out on time.

Strategy and execution is heavily rewarded in the game, gaining defensive positions and executing perfect attack orders unlike CoD's "I shoot you, you shoot me, i get more kills to get killstreaks to make everyone cry to make myself even better". It's self centered and does not foster proper COMMUNITY multiplayer gaming. So by now, you're probably thinking, "Omgz, BF3 fanboy ****ing on CoD MW3." Yah, umadbro?     Great graphics, great audio, multiple gamemodes for certain peoples tastes. Large/small maps, useable vehicles. Yea battlelog is a pain in the ass, but whatever, you get used to it. i havent even touched Singleplayer yet and i dont plan on it in a long time, im too busy having too much fun in MP. THANKS

    Incredible game, it just remember me the good old time of Battlefield 2. Great graphisms, and great multiplayer. Single player is not really the interisting mode of the battlefield serie. A real alternative to recycled call of duty games.

    This game is an outstanding successor to previous Battlefield games. Perfect combat mechanics, and the intensity of immersion within the battlefield environment is unreal in both singleplayer and multiplayer. The only downfall is Origin, while the game itself is a beauty of an FPS.

I use this comparison since MW3 didn't get any negative critics for this at all from anybody. The co-op missions are new and a very fun feature!     Simply amazing... The best graphics you can see right now, amazing sound. Multiplayer has is even better then it was with bad company 2. Dice knows how to design maps, there is a map for whatever your preferred play style is. The Co-op system brings a new interesting mode to play with friends. Thank you Dice for showing the mw people what a real game is all about.

    love this game, the maps are nice, the guns feel powerful, the unlocks are fun and creative. its just a well made game by a company that clearly cares about their series instead of re-releasing the same garbage year after year.

    good singleplayer as it being there is good because it's more of a multiplayer game and you do different things through it like plane and tank. Sound is perfect. Graphics are perfect. Multiplayer is great. Has some issues yes but nothing a patch can't fix.

    Bought MW3 and what a pile of garbage. not buying it for my kids on console, friends told me to get BF3. best game ive ever played on. deserves its rating and im definately going to buy the kids it on consoles. Activision lost me as a customer for their MW2.5 !!! buy this game !!

    I'll be short and to a point: I though singleplayer sucked big time until i played MW3 SP, that piece of garbage was sooo boring and predictable it's not even funny (especially after spending $60 on it). On the other hand, multiplayer in BF3 is great, i love the open world, all equipment and vehicles that make the game quite enjoyable. I don't regret spending my $ on this one.

    Fantastic game, mind blowing visuals, world class multiplayer and award winning sound design make it the best multiplayer shooter of the year. It doesn't quite have the large map sizes like Battlefield 2, but DICE has likely corrected it in the Back to Karkand expansion pack.

    The game play is what really shines for me. It feels like you really in the thick of it!

    Best FPS to date, fun as hell. Very strategic way of engaging the enemy keeps you on your toes. Also vehicles and aircraft are the cherry on top. Slightly difficult learning curve but eventually you get used to it. Recommend to anyone who likes FPS and was disappointed by COD

    There's not really that much to say against BF3 except a few graphic issues which are currently being corrected by ATi and Nvidia. The game play is based upon real life with accurate representation of lighting, damage and movement. i.e. Bleeding lighting coming from a light in a dark area hitting off many surfaces near it. Look, we all have our preferences for different styles of games, and if you aren't a fan of FPS games, why would you even bother? This game is meant to be played online with your friends (if you have them). I have never played a game that felt so completely and utterly, EPIC. The single player... blah blah whatever. It's fun for a play through, and it's pretty and all that, but who cares? You didn't buy this game for the campaign, did you?! If you did, and you were disappointed then I'm sorry, and better luck next time. Okay, so the online experience; the meat of the game: Challenging, extremely fun, beautiful, rewarding, and a heap of other adjectives I could also pile on there, but in the end, amazing is the only one needed. The environments are completely astounding. You'll hear a jet smack into the ground and explode, a rocket whiz past your face, bullets coming from every direction, and it's scary sometimes. The lighting is unbelievable. Didn't your mom tell you not to look directly at the sun? It can actually blind you! (Well, at least your soldier). Come running out of a building or tunnel and it takes a bit for your eyes to adjust. Did I mention that you can blow things up?! Boom!!! The feeling I get when my squad and I are taking fire from the enemy while hunkered next to a blown up oil tanker; running and diving to get to cover; providing suppressive fire for the rest of my team to advance... it's unmatched by other games. There's vehicles too! Folks, I can't say enough good things about this game, but I can say one thing. GIVE IT A CHANCE. It may be extremely frustrating at times, but put in the time and effort that it takes to learn this game and you will be rewarded heavily. Battlefield 3, in all of its greatness, also has some flaws. I can't really think of any, but I'm sure it does. To those of you who gave this game a low score (anything less than an 8, in my opinion), come down off your mountain top and design a better gaming experience for the masses.     Happy I bought it. Single player is a waste of time and I hope in BF4 there will not be single player rather than that they should concern more on multiplayer. In multiplayer there are few annoying things like mortars or that the enemy in rush modes can get so close to the spawn point but overall this a good game. And also the ranking system in this game should be faster since if youHappy I bought it.     An amazing multiplayer experience. This is a game to have.

    Playing Past BF games, this one is terrific, and i haven't been disappointed.

    Best fps game this year,outstanding multiplayer.Huge improvement in graphics,best sound,conquest mod is much bigger then Bad Company 2.Much better then MW3.

    O jogo esta otimo, não acretito que tem usuarios aqui que deram nota 0, pode ser que sejam loucos ou se sentiram muito ruim quando foram jogar um multiplayer que não é acostumado, para ser mais expecifico em mapas abertos/veiculos/ e um verdadeiro "jogo de equipe" e estratégia.

    Não sei porque colocar uma campanha (singleplayer) no Battlefield 3... acho que poderiam deixar as boas histórias para a serie bad company e assim agradar cada tipo de jogadores...

    Por fim, é um jogo que estarei sempre a jogar, e pelo que estou vendo a DICE guardou o melhor para o final... com a expanssão "Back to Karkand" que tera os melhores mapa do Battlefield 2.    … Expand

I like the INSTANT BATTLE feature in Battlefield 2, which i would like to see in Battlefield 3. That would make the game ten times better and has ten times better ratings.     I can't believe all the 0 point reviews with stupid reasons for disliking the game. This is multiplayer franchise. You want amazing SP go play Modern Warfare. BF3 has the best combat multiplayer i've ever played, and i played everything under the sun. Its a blast, with every aspect having been designed with perfection.     BF3 has the best combat multiplayer i've ever played, and i played everything under the sun. Its a blast, with every aspect having been designed with perfection. Its kind of a surprise to see a game where vehicle, aircraft and foot combat is this well done. Graphics are amazing, since it looks like they were designed with PC in mind and are not gimped by consolitis.

    The sound is also incredible, looks like someone finally went to a gun range and shot real guns. If you've shot guns before you will get chills and adrenaline rushes in the firefights, especially indoors.

    Insanely better than Call of Duty 3. The requirement of aim alone makes it a mile ahead of the competition. Full marks. Really excellent graphics, well optimised for PC.

    I am so hooked on this game. Even though I suck at vehicles, it adds such a higher level to the game play. Even the single player is good. Coop is fun also, and there's weapons U can unlock and use in multi-player. If you want an amazing online FPS, BF3 is the way to go. Leave Modern Warfare for the kids and their xbox.

    Awesome Graphics, awesome sounds, awesome illumination...Awesome game for PC! Great coop playing with friends and members of clan and the best incredible MP! The frostbite 2.0 is amazing. And December coming Back to Karkand!

    It's all a matter of taste, after all. They each provide a certain type of entertainment – when talking about Battlefield 3, it involves a bigger game, more open in its possibilities and more spectacular. But on a longer timeline, less frantic and with fewer Bruce Willis scenes than the mass appeal beast it set itself to dethrone.

    No, Battlefield 3 is not the best game of today. But good looking – definitely. It also has an absolutely addictive multiplayer. Who needs more? [Dec 2011]
