Weapon balance don't exist, bayonet charge is more retarded than commando perk in MW2. The new feature like zeppelin, armored train or dreadnought can help even the weakest team win and I don't think it's good for this game and fair play.

UI interface is the worst, it's not intuitive and feels empty. For example, you cant change loadout while loading, but you can buy battle packs which have nothing but skins in them and totally useless.
Overall there's a very little choice of weapons, and even those you have are basically a copy paste of 3 weapons per class with very little changes.

BF1 is not worth $80 they are charging for it in Russia. Whats the use in great graphics if everything else is half assed, buggy and unplayable. Most indie games are better quality and you get them for $10 tops.
BF1 is not BF5, it's **** Hardline 2, Id rather go back to BF4 and never buy another EA game.

In general the detail of graphics and the atmosphere really gives you the feeling of how the great war would of taken place. Not everyone had SMG's or LMG's to use, which is only inacurate at best but doesn't effect the gameplay. All in all the game is fun, the multiplayer is excellent which is why I buy most games anyway. Then I figured out it's Star Wars Battlefront code with 'ranges' that you have to be in for each weapon, is why the guns feel so bizarre. Once you get used to the ranges you'll get a lot better but I just don't like the feel of it. I should never be too close for a sniper rifle to work, and shotguns are absolutely useless at surprisingly short distances (like 30 feet or so and suddenly it does nothing). And support LGMs should take more time to pull up to ironsights and make you run slower but should be devastating as hell when hit. Instead they feel weaker than a little SMG which is too weird to describe. I just don't like the 'feel' of it.

Also there's a lot of cheaters you see kicked every round. OMG it's only been out for three days!

Anyway I guess it has potential if they fix the cheating and tune the guns a bit. But definitely not my favorite shooter out of the box.

Well if you saw the score you already know I don't like this game.
That's not to say that I don't see any positives or don't think it might be 'ok' for some to buy so please read on before making your decision on my review.

First let's start with the Positives:
    + Really fantastic graphics.
+ Destructible environments. It's fun to get a sniper out of that house by blowing it to bits with a tank or mortars!
+ Generally stable servers which will only improve further with some fine tuning.
+ Innovative battle modes where you push enemy back and another map loads and you play that one in a sort of tug of war which makes the game feel like it has bigger picture consequences.
+ Despite what some may say, a pretty wide array of weapons considering it's WW1 and IRL each country had only one or two bolt action rifles which 95% of soldiers carried. So they did a good job of 'digging up' extra realism based weapons to include.
+ A couple decent support roles for those who want to do something besides get kills all the time. Support and Medic can both be very useful to the team.
+ It fills a gap in an otherwise stale genre. Let's face it COD has been basically the same game for 10 years now with map packs and a few tweaks being sold as new games. And not really much else besides CS which has been the same game for 15+ years.

    Now the Negatives:
    - As of game release day 1, the game is absolutely loaded with cheaters. Bring up the chat in any map and just watch a few minutes and you'll see people getting 'banned'. Several per match. Which is quite surprising so early in a game's release cycle.
    - Cheaters are not permanently banned! Why oh why would the developers make the decision not to invalidate a CD key I have no idea. I've seen several threads on the topic in the official game forums and the devs feel it would be too 'hard' on paying players. Wow! So they're more concerned with the cash flows from the cheaters than from the paying players?! OK! Anyway, someone gets 'banned' and they'll be right back in a matter of minutes.
    - Guns have no stopping power so only the very last bullet which kills them makes any difference whatsoever to their ability to spaztically run all over, evading your last bullet, and shoot back, greatly favoring twitch reflexes over strategy an tactics.
    - The most solo unfriendly shooter in history. No FF (Friendly Fire) means mic'd up squads of move in one 'mass' and throw out enough lead to mow down any player in their way. As a solo player, you'll be faced 1v5 most every time you see the enemy (though you do have the option to sit back and play sniper). And arguably this does provide some real value to players who like to buddy up.
    - Overall the guns are just 'weird' compared to any other shooter. The closest I can compare it to is Planetside which also doesn't feel like a 'real' shooter if classic play style is your preference. Personally I found all the guns except the sniper rifles just lacked an 'oomf', and had no sense of real power or damage when hitting.
    - Sound. Though the sounds are generally pretty good. It takes an extremely expensive or extremely loud sound system to be able to hear footsteps. Some say its OK, others have the same complaint. Really depends on your system and config. With my headphones I can't hear a damn thing until the very last step which doesn't matter anyway because you're already knifed.

Overall: I think the game does a lot right. But more cheaters than I've seen in any FPS getting kicked from literally every match, an extreme unfriendliness to solo players, weak feeling guns with no sense of impact, and way too silent footsteps which means more knife deaths from behind than you can count all conspire to bring down what could otherwise be a great game.

If the developers change their stance on permanently banning cheaters I might have another look. Until then, I'll pass.

The game is absolutely everything COD isnt & that's great. It's chaotic, beautiful, so many choices, and team work is crucial. There have been so many times where you just die from nowhere & at first it's annoying, but then you realize that's how war is and the feel that they bring.

The multiple game modes are pretty fun as well.

Either people were hiding for tanks, or trying to snipe the other snipes from 2 miles away.

In Battlefield 1, the amount of people you can have firing at you if you poke your head too high is so intense. The weapons are fine tuned enough so that even snipers have a valid reason to push up a little closer, and veichles aren't stupid OP like they were in resent battlefield titles.

I would like a few more slots for planes in the game though, that would be an awesome feeling to have 10 planes on each time flying overhead all the time. I'd still like to see 64 teams on either side, instead of "only" 32 on each - that would be the dream! But, I'm happy Battlefield 1 took a step back to a time before tanks that could headshot you from miles away and focused more on the soldiers.
And the visuals is as always stunning, battlefield took battlefront and printed an awesome looking game into a game with fun gameplay.

    - War air ship/ Armored train and Battleship behemoths
    - A good but short single player

    NOW THE BAD
    - The random bullet deviation on SMGs and LMGs, there is also RBD on semi auto rifles if you fast fire, I understand that they do this since its a WW1 game and they don't want everyone running around with a LMG but i could think of other ways they could have done this, such as increasing the recoil of SMGs and LMGs by alot, as it is i think the random bullet deviation takes some skill out of fire fights.

    - there is some work to be done with weapon balancing and i have noticed some weird lag with the planes but that should be fixed in time.

well that's what i think about BF1, its overall a very good game but the random bullet deviation is consistently annoying and is pretty much my only big gripe with the game so far.

This problem of overpopulation of snipers has been extant since Bad Company 2, and EA/DICE have clearly not bothered to solve it. I don't think EA/DICE would fix this anytime soon - it's a shame when the game allegedly promotes itself as a team shooter. There's not even a class quota to address this.

Game Modes: Every game mode except conquest and operations is 12v12... You have this great engine that is very well optimized with the capability of 32v32 but you're not using it? This brings me to my next point

Custom Servers: Where are they? Why can't people host servers with custom features

Stat tracking: Compared to BF3, stat tracking doesn't exist in BF1

Gunplay: I have no idea what they were thinking with these guns, a perfect FPS shooter will strive to make every gun relevant for specific purposes, no gun should be good at everything and no gun should be absolute garbage with no reason for existing. In BF1 each class has 1 or 2 guns that are superior in 80% of all situations, the remaining guns are useless or frustrating. It's like they had 4 teams working on the weapons, each team not knowing what the other was doing until launch day, just horrible. I didn't play BF4 or Hardline so I don't know how far DICE has fallen since BFBC2 and BF3 but they are currently setting new lows in FPS gun mechanics.

Team balancing: Where is it? Maybe its because it's release weekend, their ranking algos don't have enough data yet but I highly doubt it. Why are level 5's playing with level 40's? And no these are not God Tier level 5's, they are how do I use my medkit level 5's.

RE-skin of Battlefront: If you love Battlefront you don't need to play this game, unless you really like WWII games that are skinned to look like WWI games.

That pretty much covers it. There are some bugs but not nearly as many as Beta so I think they did a good job of cleaning up the game. Overall I hope they keep adding a lot of features to the game so I don't get bored and uninstall. I'm very happy I didn't purchase the game + DLC because these guns are going to get boring fast.

That said, what is up with horses? Why can't you use regular weapons on them? Why is the trample detection so janky? I ran over a guy laying in front of me three times in a row with my horse and he just shot me off, which made me feel like a total idiot. Also, why did DICE make the rear facing machine guns on planes so powerful on planes? Those machine guns do so much more damage than the actual machine guns on the fighter planes that it is nearly impossible to destroy a plane you're chasing if that plane has even a decent gunner on board. Why do you have to unlock pistols for every class, and why do different classes have different pistols? They're just pistols. Let me get a decent pistol for the scout class; the class is already bad enough for close quarters combat. Anti air guns, even if they don't hit your plane cause it to bounce around as if it is entering a sharknado. I'm sure I could go on, but as I've indicated, the game is not perfect; and some of the 'balancing' Dice has done since the beta (the light tank, it shoots so incredibly slow and is so much weaker now that I personally find it nearly useless) has actually made certain features that were overpowered so underpowered that they've become useless. Absolutely brilliant and immersive. Plays awesome on GTX 1060 with ultra setting, visuals are great but the sound design is equally beautiful. The game is unforgiving for people who dont like team play. The addition of automatic weapons makes the gameplay fast, which may or may not suit all the people. Overall, it is the best remix of WW1 setting which a person can experience.

So why does Battlefield still suck?

The game has about as much to do with World War I as the Black guy on the poster. There is zero trench warfare, and nearly all the weapons are automatic or semi-automatic. In other words, it's still a game for the braindead people who don't have a clue.

DICE's philosophy of game design seems to be on the same level as their political philosophy: they want to equalize everything. The game punishes skill and rewards reckless play. Try reviving your teammates and you get instantly killed. Try supporting your teammates with machinegun fire and you get instantly killed. Try doing anything except running around like a chicken on fire, and you get instantly killed.

If that isn't enough, the game now rewards the losing team with a giant equalizer in the form of a huge airship that can more or less kill anything at any spot on the map. So we now have 100% equal gameplay with noone being able to be better than the other. Which is pretty boring for someone who wants more than explosions and nifty sound effects.

A Decent Single Player with an Amazing Multiplayer
Battlefield 1’s campaign tells the story of 6 different characters during the First World War...
Each of the 6 chapters take place in different places of the world, and they all feel unique from one another….
You’ll take to the ground, air, and shadows…
You’ll be a tank searching for a friend… you’ll drive a tank trying to take control of the land, take to the sky as a gambler with a hint that maybe things didn’t happen the way he says it did, stealth through areas as a woman trying to sabotage war plans and destroy an armored train, and an Australian runner slicing through the trenches…
The campaign in total will take about 5 an a half hours long to complete give or take, all depending on how often you die..
And you will... a lot, as this game is brutal even on its normal difficulty…
If you’re an aggressive players, you’re not going to do too well in all but 1 chapter as you can only take about 3 hits and you’re dead… and the checkpoints can be complete garbage at time...
Especially considering how large locations are…
For the most part, this isn’t just a run and gun linear shooter… when you touch ground you’re on a massive battlefield crawling with enemies…
You have the choice to mark them all from a vantage point... sneak around them all with distractions or just avoiding them, sneak behind them for a quiet melee… get involved in a gun fight, the option for the most part is up to you, but there are many sections that force you to clear the area of enemies..
Gunplay in this game can be pretty frustrating as again... 3 shots and you’re dead…
all cover can be destroyed including houses, you do regenerate health, but it feels like an eternity before it will start, and hit detection in this game is far from perfect…
Keep in mind I’m talking single player here.. Meaning internet connection isn’t at fault...
Many times my bullets would go right through enemies doing no damage at all…
But I only found this to be the case in single player, no noticeable problems in multiplayer...
There are also annoying enemy variants like flamethrower guys and heavy armor guys who are invulnerable to bullets…
You can kill the heavy with a grenade, but the flamethrower guy is invulnerable against bullets and grenades... he can only be killed by shooting his tank…
Which you’d think a grenade would be fine for this, but no.. it’s not… really breaking immersion throwing in video gamey enemies like this when everything else feels so real…
The camera would also get a little awkward when I would try to run and find cover, which is a real frustration when you’re taking part in a section of the chapter with tanks or the armored train…
Especially since again, the checkpoints are so unforgiving and they can all instakill your character…
These sections take time.. A lot of time… and patience... as well as a handful of other stealthy sections that can sometimes feel like they’re plucked out of a hitman game with their punishment for detection…
These levels are absolutely gorgeous though, and I cared about all 6 characters during my brief time with them…
The single player gameplay just unfortunately lacks a hint of polish which stops the campaign from ever wowing me…
What did wow me however was the multiplayer…
The maps are well designed.. The mayhem of zeppelins, tanks, horses, and airplanes is almost magic…
You never really think of perspective in multiplayer games... people are usually for the most part doing the same thing as you, but better or worse…
A bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off…
Here however, it’s such a great feeling to sit back and realize that everything you see going on, is another person having an entirely different perspective than you are…
Controlling airships.. Planes…taking them out... riding horseback into a battle zone…
It really breathes life into the competitive gaming realm…
Battlefield essentially has 6 different game types…
domination with is your typical capture and hold, rush witch is an attack and defend game, team death match where most kills wins… , war pigeons which is essentially a capture the flag match.. Get the pigeon, release the pigeon, and stop enemies from doing the game.
conquest, which is capture and hold but with complete mayhem going on… a true feeling of war…
and finally operations, which gives a back story to each of the fighting locations.. Here you either try to gradually capture all sections by capturing and holding 1 to 3 separate spots of a map or defend these sections by filling a kill counter...
Battlefield offers something here for everyone… a solid single player experience good enough to stand on its own... and a brilliant multiplayer that brings the multiplayer genre to new heights...
    I give battlefield 1...

Some of the weapons are questionable for the period SMGs and semi auto rifles weren't standard issue. The ratio of Black to white solders insults history (1:1), Zulus fought for the commonwealth, but not the German or Americans,

There are the usual players complaining about snipers, and a lot of people getting bans. But in my opinion this a very good game, just wish politically correctness didn't bend history. It will be interesting to see how Dice beat this game next year.

As for the gameplay, it feels like battlefront or battlefield 4 slapped on with a world war 1 skin. Gameplay doesn't even feel really authentic especially for a WW1 setting, if it were to be WW2 I would kinda understand. But World War 1 was just a bunch of dudes in trenches lined up and firing at one another... not jumping around running and gunning smoking 6 guys in a row with a automatic rifle. And also spawns are horrible. If someone is controlling gunship.... they can easily spawn camp the enemy team and the people below couldn't do anything about it unless they had an Anti air weapon. It really makes me wonder if anyone at DICE knew anything about World War 1.

Also the fact people are ripping on Call of duty keep in mind the amount of times I've been quickscoped more times by scouts in BF1 than I've had in Call of Duty 4... and that's really embarrassing & quite annoying actually. And 80 Bucks for this game!!! (For me I had to pay 90 dollars) This game doesn't feel it even deserves to be 60 bucks.... the game is worth at most 40 bucks, and that's being generous. And the fact EA had the balls to charge people 160 Dollars for this mediocre FPS.

Honestly the game isn't bad yes, they have taken a step forward after the trash from Battlefield 4, Battlefield hardline, and Battlefront. But it's not a huge improvement or a huge innovative process. It's just a bunch of dudes running around playing the game like call of duty. It essentially is call of duty but with vehicles. I personally enjoyed Battlefield 3 more than this game. Battlefield 1 feels like it doesn't offer too much for it what could have been, wasted potential and refunded. It's just your generic, cookie cutter FPS... nothing to see here folks.

In the end combat is Battlefront Star Wars with WW1 skins, only the power ups and jet packs are missing to complete this comparison.

The game actually plays like WW2 on steroids where the majority of players uses either sub machine guns or automatic weapons, add very effective tanks an abundance of anti tank ordinance even at infantry level and aircraft, including heavy bombers, that have the agility and power to weight ratio of modern fighters, and the end result is cognitive dissonance.

This feeling is only enhanced by the misguided attempt to make BF1 a multi cultural experience, driving this to such high level that in multi play your German squad can Be comprised entirely by black men. Now black men did serve in the Imperial army, but in Africa. If you want to offer a multi cultural experience at least give the player some choice.

In multiplay I try to stick to rifles and only specific light machine guns, out of some historical sense of duty, but as the majority embraces exotic sub machine and light machine guns, this only increases the frustration I am having with BF1.

I hope there will be some hardcore more WW1 oriented game play offered in the future - even it was just a single server it would redeem BF1 in my eyes.

(Explained: most guns use a "cone-style" programing for the bullets, just like SW Battlefront, where any/all of the bullets fire in a completely random huge cone whether you are aiming down sights or not.)
    Typical Dice engine bugs/glitches.
Campaign is only 4-5 hours to finish.
GPU crashes with up to date GPU and drivers, and re installs.

    Conclusion:
While the game was obviously not going to be a realistic portrayal of WWI warfare, they went so far out of reality for the campaign and single player, I honestly wonder why the chose to make this a WWI game. It honestly seems like they wanted to make a WWII game but chose WWI to maybe draw on the centennial
    .
The campaign is a cake walk even on hard, with AI who are laughably stupid, and the story while good at parts, is insultingly short and lackluster, with absolutely no grounds in reality what so ever.

I really wanted to like the game, I love war history and have always loved the BF series. But this game is in my opinion the worst BF game in years, if not ever.
I was bored of the gameplay in 5 hours, and with the GPU crashes every 10 minutes in multiplayer I just refunded it (At least Origin actually has good CS and a fair refund policy).

If you love the game, that is fine, I am glad you do, but to me this is not a Battlefield game, much less a WWI game.
I have hopes of maybe a good WWII game next, praying for 1944/1945, DONE RIGHT.

I feel like this is going to pull a hardline and die off in weeks.

Purchased the Deluxe Edition in order to play the game prior to its official release day and was pleasantly surprised at the initial stability of the game, at least compared to Battlefield 4's launch. I have not touched the single player campaign yet, so my review is solely based on the bread and butter of this game, its Multiplayer.

First and foremost, please disregard anyone who calls this a "battlefront re-skin". From Battlefield 2 all the way through Battlefield 4 I've put AT LEAST 200 hours into every iteration of Battlefield games (except 2142), and the only similarities this game shares with the shallow Battlefront game is the Frostbite engine, and maybe the Battle pickups that can be found around the map.

In terms of the overall online experience, I personally find it very satisfying and rewarding. The Scout (sniper) class is reminiscent of the recon in Bad Company 2 in terms of power and gadgets. Assault class provides ample destructive power that can really pester ground vehicles assuming you just dont run out after tanks out in the open, and coupled with SMG's they can also be great with CQC. The Medic class with DMR's and med packs are great for mid range battles, and the syringe revive takes away the need to "charge the paddles" like in Battlefield 4, which i found slightly annoying. Support class retains the same LMG and ammo pack/crate system everyone is already used to as well.

Tanks are extremely powerful and are feared throughout the battlefield, especially in the right hands. Mobility is sluggish, but the firepower is devastating. Horses are awkward though, and may take some getting used to, especially with how the play style changes with them when compared to an actual vehicle. Planes and airships are relatively easy to handle, but also slow in regards to mobility which is important when it comes to balance. The days of jet/helo whoring is basically gone for the time being, but it doesnt hinder the experience of being in the air.

Most importantly, the game focuses on Teamwork. Everything you do to support your squad and team gives you points. Even accepting a revive grants you points. You can shoot up the leaderboard by just being supportive, which is great. Although at the time being everyone ISNT a team player, i contribute this to the playerbase getting used to the game right now and trying to feel things out. This literally happens to every online shooter, so give it a few weeks before you see more people working as a more cohesive unit.

Overall its a fun game. Theres a few minor bugs, but nothing game breaking, at least in my experience.

Magnificent!! even the campaign alone is worth the purchase just for the experience of it, besides the endless hours of multiplayer. Its really polished from the menus to on screen action. Works perfect with a controller, runs brilliant this is no console port either. Its just is everything you want from a WW1 game, fits the fantasy of being in a warzone its that good.

    Best BF I ever played
Graphics / Performance: Some of the best graphics in gaming to date and already runs well before release.
The WWI setting means the weapon are inaccurate, machines unreliable. The gameplay is more than I expected

This is the Battlefield I have always been waiting for.

Finally, I don't feel that "fat character lag" that I always experience in the past BF.
Now it's as fluid as a Counter-Strike or COD can be.

All that with amazing graphic, building destruction, and all the tank etc...

Finally a game that is polished at launch !

    Feel so great. Thank you

It's between COD and BF4, a Battlefront reskin imo.
Simple enough for a casual and fun enough for a pro.

The fantasy wwi is ridiculous but not so important in a chaotic game.

BF1 is a great game so far. I am mostly reviewing the single player aspect of the game, I'll try MP next, but for now I am enjoying the single player section called "War Stores". There are many good things about the gameplay - at the core it is a very solid FPS shooter game. The WWI setting means the weapon are inaccurate, machines unreliable. The gameplay is more than I expected - not just aim and shoot on rails, there, vehicles, various approaches to an objective and my favourite part so far - the tanks.Being a crew member of a tank in WWi must have been a horrible experience and BF1 gives you a very accurate depiction of that.
Another thing that the game highlights very well is the cruelty of the war - you play a little and you get shot and die, like so many did on the battlefields of WWI.
I give it 9/10 as there are a few nitpicks for the PC version - there's 0 advanced settings in game such as AA modes or SSAO etc - you can tweak that through Geforce Experience but it would have been better if there was a setting in game. THe game doesn't lose a point for that as the engine is very well optimised and I get >100fps on GTX1080 at 2560x1440 Ultra settings all the time.
At the moment, according to the game, I am 'offline' (even as I am writing and posting this review). I have still ways to go before I finish SP campaign, but it seems that the servers have died under load, at least in my region, so minus 1 point for that, let's hope they resolve it soon enough.
Another thing I don't like is the need to have Origin client running - the pre-load crashed 1/3rd through and I had to start from scratch. I have hundreds of games on Steam and it's a shame that EA insist on Origin.
Overall a very good game and worth the admission price and a few hiccups.

Great Good Game fu/ck/ed by rotten stink cheaters.

Heard there were new Nvidia drivers released just today that increase performance. If that is true, then I am even more impressed with how well optimized this game is compared to everything else we get in the market. This is how games should be developed and made for PC!

Gameplay: Those will complain it is a knock off of SWBF or claim Battlefield 4 is way harder. Have not quite understood Battlefield 1. Battlefield 4 struggled with netcode and while I adored the game we have to remember not to mistake difficulty with optimization. Something can feel harder and it is because poor optimization.

Battlefield 1 has a huge improvement to netcode and when you shoot it registers very well. Gun balance feels pretty on point. Scouts and assault all have their place. With 25 hours in I can say that the servers I have been on have seen a pretty good balance. If you do not see that balance, you can always try another server as this game is crazy populated with players.

As far as if this is similar to SWBF, it really isn't. The gameplay feels completely different. And, I will be honest if the game was like SWBF, I am pretty sure I will be extremely disappointed because the gun play in SWBF is disappointing.

Sound Design: Really on point, and what blew me away when I played this is how much the audio changes depending where you are at. When on Quentin scar and you walk on the huge bullet shells and hear them rustle was quite amazing!

(NO SPOILERS) Single Player: Keeping it simple, it was heartfelt. I respected the approach they took, and one of the first actually FPS shooter campaigns I have really felt invested in awhile.

Overall: This game is a huge win in my book, it delivered everything I expected and honestly much more. From the extremely stable release to the huge amount detail and care they took into the game shows a lot. You can tell this project was made out of love and for that I love this game. There is always something we can nitpick and complain about. But, where we are headed and tons more DLC I say this is my game of the year. Thank you DICE for your hard work, it really had paid off and the community can definitely see it!

Great game! Perfect visual effects and nice gameplay. A little bit casual (close to SW: BattlefronT), but it´s not so important. Maps are beautiful with many details and all buildings you can CRUSH! 9/10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a someone who started with 1942 and toped that game about some 2000 hours i am dissapointed with what DICE has been shoveling games with these day's.

The game is NOT interesting..at all!
In the 45 minutes i played this game half of my team was running and gunning pew pewing with LMG'all over the map just ignoring the objectives and the other half was on top of some mountain sniping.Netcode of the game is still FUBAR as you never know who shot you from where and if you rely on the killcam most of the shots/kills are impossible to make ,so in my opinion you would never know is if the player who shot you legit/aimboter/or the killcam is (again)not working properly.

Refunded after one hour and dissapointed that DICE failed yet again in making an enjoyable game i was hoping for.
Sad as i am that the glorious day's of 1942,Battlefield 2 and 2142 are long gone i would never recomend this game to anyone.
Teenagers on the other hand seems to like it it and can't get enough of!

    Refunded and unninstalled ...meh!

After around 10h in the game (only playing Operations and Conquest) i think i have a pretty good idea off what this game is about. Ive played every Battlefield game, except Hardline, so im familiar to what they should bring to the table.

This is a really good shooter, the net-coding and feedback from the game is by far the best they have come up whit, and it stands in contrast to both

This is a really good shooter, the net-coding and feedback from the game is by far the best they have come up whit, and it stands in contrast to both BF2, BF3, and BF4 on that point - its a really big improvement. The sound is amazing like always, the same is graphics and details in maps, weapons and so on. The game is a beauty.

Its also fun, chaotic and it requires teamplay. It got that Battlefield wipe, which we all love. The game fails abit to deliver on content, if you ever played Red Orchestra the Operation part (cool and fun, as it is) will feel abit doll after you've been through them all, and you cant help to think that some off the maps are not designed as good as they could have been when playing conquest, and we need more maps. I would not compare this to SW:BF at all, as its clear there are much more depth to this game, and a much more dynamic battlefield, where SW:BF just were a skin.

All in all, a great game, that lives up to the battlefield name, but you cant help (yet again) to think, what it could have been without EAs interfering, and DLC hells, where the content comes in stages. Still, i would recommend this game to all FPS/Battlefield lovers.

This game takes full advantage of the current gen and provides one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had, thanks mainly to its well-written single player campaign, including such a beautiful musical score that moves you beyond words

I decided to return this game after a combined total of about 15 hours single player and multiplayer gameplay.

The primary reason: the game engine is watered down garbage. It's the same one used by Star Wars: Battlefront. The gameplay is surprisingly similar SW:BF. When you shoot, it just doesn't feel satisfying. The optimal range feature ends up being very frustrating. I.E. You shoot

When you shoot, it just doesn't feel satisfying. The optimal range feature ends up being very frustrating. I.E. You shoot someone with a support machine gun at 50-100 yards, and it does 10-15 damage. Really? Am I shooting a .22lr at them? I wanted the game to be more like the gameplay of Battlefield 4. The bullet physics seem much more realistic. I feel like they could have pulled that off, but went with the super watered down cartoon-ie feel of SW:BF.

The secondary reason: no joystick support. You can fly planes in single player and multiplayer. But this is yet another Battlefield / Battlefront game that gives the middle finger to joysticks. Judging by the complete lack of joystick support for every BF in the past 10 years, I'm certain they will never add support. It's super frustrating to super awkwardly try to fly a plane with the keyboard only and make longing glances at the perfectly functional joystick sitting on your desk.
