Sep 7, 2022This series is not what I expected, bad characters, bad history, everything just sucks. I sad because I was really exited for it

Sep 2, 2022Have only watched the first episode. Just a casual Tolkien fan. Read the LOTRings once. Really enjoyed the Jackson trilogy. Hated his Hobbit trilogy. This is better than that, but not by much. It's dull. Really dull. So dull, that I'm not bothering to continue with the show.

Sep 2, 2022Just like everyone thought, nothing new. It's a complete shallow and a complete disregard of the Tolkien's Legendarium.
-
Sep 2, 2022This is not even a bit like the lord of the rings. Next typical weak fantasy movie. Waste of time watching this crap.
-
Sep 2, 2022Such a disgrace. Literally makes me want to cry of how poor the show is. Not to mention how they dared to mix with dirt Tolkien's beautiful universe

Sep 8, 2022It's a boring show with just one more Mary Sue as main character. As a Tolkien's adaptation is completly without soul and essence.

Sep 2, 20221 billion dollars spent to take a collective dump on one of the greatest fantasy series written to date. Lousy casting, pathetic costumes, nonsensical writing with a hefty dose of woke BS to wash it all down.
Tolkien must be writhing in his grave. -
Sep 2, 2022I feel like this is a shameless attempt to tick diversity boxes. Sure the CGI looks good but not sure it’s worth the money they must have shelled out. Any thing with dwarves in looks good but that’s about it… honestly struggling to find positives. Just watch house of the dragon or the last kingdom instead.

Sep 2, 2022The only way this travesty of a show could get better, would be if Sauron forges the One Ring to banish Multiculturalism and Cultural Marxism from Middle Earth.

Oct 6, 2022This show is terrible. It is as slow as possible. Galadriel is absolutely far from the original image and causes only irritation. The creators could not clearly tell a single story, and this is not surprising, this show has almost nothing to do with Tolkien's books

Sep 7, 2022As always, the "progress agenda" destroying a wonderful literary section, not to mention the multiple "professionals" in criticism turning their body for the best insertion.

Sep 2, 2022No even near to lore, u can do your own series with what ever u want without calling it LOTR and using original personages. Why the showrunners decided to spoil origin? Fans dont deserve such an attitude.

Adar’s début drips with signifiers. ... When Adar informs Arondir in Episode 4 that he has been told many lies, some that “run so deep even the rocks and roads now believe them,” it is still a thrill. Tolkien succeeded in creating a mythic world, one that has now grown vast enough through acts of typological repetition and imitation to conquer television, too.

With war brewing and the forging of the rings seemingly still far off, the first half of The Rings of Power’s first season constitutes little more than stage-setting for the struggle to come. Given the lack of quests and central commanding figures, it often makes for less-than-gripping drama. However, given that there are four more seasons already planned, and potentially dozens of new characters to be introduced, the slow and throat-clearing build is possibly a good sign.

The Rings of Power is a reminder of what drew many of us to epic fantasy in the first place: wonder. ... This series set in an ancient realm displays one dazzling and painterly landscape after another. Power also doesn't skimp on action. [12 - 25 Sep 2022, p.10]
