Sep 24, 2022The highlight is undoubtedly the beautiful scenery and effects and it's worth a watch just for that. The acting is really good as well, the plot is interesting but a little slow for now, I hope it improves in the second part of the season.
-
Sep 24, 2022I don’t generally like origin stories but this is intriguing. There are so many! There's so much going on I’ve had to watch episode guides to keep track of it all.
-
Sep 24, 2022Still waiting for it to become more engaging but I still have hope. And at least visually it gorgeous.
-
Nov 9, 2022As a huge LoTR and the Hobbit fan, I absolutely love this series. I am also an avid reader and have purposely held back from reading the books because in my opinion, the books are ALWAYS better.

Oct 24, 2022I absolutely love it. It's very entertaining. Don't listen to the negative reviews, this show is perfect. I love Morfydd Clark is amazing and too beautiful for words. All the actors and the characters they play are amazing. I love it and I pray they continue this story to it's proper conclusion
-
Oct 24, 2022Seems like the people who hate it thought it should be an exact match to the picture they had in their head. The acting, sets, and music were absolutely top notch, can't wait for season 2!

Oct 22, 2022An awesome character build, music, acting. At last one great series. Could not be better
-
Oct 18, 2022Очень понравился сериал. История показана немного необычно, но видно что создатели старались следовать канону, насколько это возможно в их случае. Хорошая интрига в конце сезона.
-
Oct 17, 2022Amazing visuals on many of Second Age locations! Delight to watch! Some of the characters are very well written characters (Adar, Halbrand) others are not. Some inconsistencies with the books (but that's expected nowadays).
-
Sep 19, 2022Phenomenal performance by the actors and actresses involved, and although it's not exactly complicated, i think it mostly remains faithful to the books.
-
Sep 17, 2022One of the best shows i've ever seen, surely the best fantasy series. Every character is likable in its own way, it's very hard to pick one favourite.

Sep 16, 2022One of the best TV series until now, wait a second, it's a series or a big high budget Hollywood next gen movie? Maybe at first impact don't condense the action the adventurous vibe like the Peter Jackson Trilogy, but it definitely build up with time and the storyline is way twisted and mysterious.
-
Oct 9, 2022I like the show so far, good characters and interesting plot. Can't wait to watch the season finale and season 2!
-
Sep 2, 2022Es una buena serie, destaca, la ambientación, fotografía, vestuario, apenas van dos capítulos y me dejaron con ganas de ver más, espero evolucione y nos de una muy buena primera temporada
-
Sep 16, 2022The show is great! Peeps just angry being familiar solely with Jackson's works, and not Tolkien's the Silmarillion or Unfinished Tales
-
Oct 22, 2022Literally the best TV show ever conceived. Way better than the books. A+++++++

Sep 3, 2022Not bad at all. I was a bit hesitant and somewhat uninerested to revisit middle-earth once again but I'll continue watching due to the high production values and good action scenes. If you rate this show below a 5 then you're either an idiot or a liar.
-
Sep 15, 2022I'm enjoying the show, although it's been fairly slow and the third episode felt very disjointed, especially with the violence that felt amateur. The casting is fine...
-

Sep 5, 2022So nice to be back in Middle Earth! Beautiful pictures, great Soundtrack and good actors. And i really LOVE the slow pace the story develops. Enough time to get more than a small glance. I am looking forward for more!
-
Sep 5, 2022Better than the movies IMO. Less pompous and not overly epic. More down to earth. This is exactly how I figured the books. Cannot be Tolkien cause he didn't write that story. Silmarillon is mostly informations and lore, not a story. Get over it.

Sep 6, 2022Great show. Great adaptation and a excellent script. Best content ever made of Tolkien's work
-
Sep 6, 2022Absolutely fantastic! I was a huge fan of Jackson's LOTR films and these new episodes capture that same energy and majesty perfectly. The casting is excellent, pacing perfect, and the visuals just stunning. I can't wait for the new episodes and to see where this series is headed...

Sep 7, 2022Perfect! The series has impeccable photography and the actors are also excellent. Congratulations Amazon!
-
Sep 12, 2022So good, I'm so excited and looking forward to viewing more episodes, best thing on tv right now.
-
Sep 20, 2022I've read the criticism and some are valid however given that this is the second age, not much is known even by Tolkien himself. I rather enjoy the show and look forward each week to watching it.
-
Sep 20, 2022I don't get the trolling of this show since it's enjoyable to watch. Even if you don't like it the production is beautiful. It is leaving me guessing as to what's going to happen next.

Sep 10, 2022Review bombing has turned into a bloody hobby. My goodness gracious people have the attention span of a rock these days.

Sep 3, 2022¡Espectacular, breathtaking! one of the best adaptations, of a book i´ve seen in a long time, best of all is the beautiful cinematography is just breathtaking to be back in middle earth.
-
Sep 5, 2022As someone who have read every single Tolkien book out there I welcome this addition that shows us how things could have been at a completely different time than what we're used to from Jackson's movies. It's certainly beautifully made. It's a very promising start.
-
Sep 5, 2022I've been reading Tolkien literature for over 40 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 episodes, admittedly some odd choices off dialog but otherwise great. Not sue what review bombing is supposed to achieve it comes across as zealotry about a fictional world, maybe the intention is to put off anyone else from attempting to make Middle Earth content.
-
Sep 11, 2022Visually outstanding, good cast and thank goodness for better dialogue and less slapstick than in the now overrated films. I am happy
-
Sep 2, 2022Guess what? It's actually fine! It's by no means outstanding but it's a good start. One cannot deny the excellent production values. The dialogue and performances can be improved, and not every storyline pops right away but overall I am optimistic (based on episode one)
-
Sep 9, 2022If you can accept anything new instead of comparing it with the Peter Jackson movies, It's a fantastic show to watch. I just love it!

Sep 7, 2022Please don’t listen the gatekeepers who review bomb the show just cause thème is tree black actors ! This show is a really good adaptation of tolkien work ! PJ’s movies had thé sale trolling et the release but now we considerate it as a masterpiece

Sep 4, 2022Don't believe the review bombers, Rings of Power has the look, and the feel of the film trilogy, while carving out its own lane in episodic fashion. It feels great to be back in middle-earth, and there are a Lot of moving parts, but by the second episode it really starts to come alive. I can't wait to see what's in store for the following 6 episodes.

Sep 7, 2022This show is pretty good, after 2 episodes I'm intrigued to see where it's going. As for all you review bombers. What's the problem. Get off your computers and do something with your life.
-
Sep 5, 2022To early to judge. Dialoga could be better, and some acting could be prove. I'm not sure how to I feel about the series so far but I have enjoyed the two episodes that have aired.
-
Sep 2, 2022It starts slow but thats common for a world building saga. Has a lot of potential.
-
Sep 4, 2022So far it seems pretty good. Excellent effects and cinematography with some great performances. It can be a little slow at points but overall i'm enjoying it.

Sep 5, 2022Story seemed a bit basic but it had very good visuals and soundtrack at least.
-
Sep 2, 2022Pretty good start, don’t believe the review bombers, they live on the wrong side of history, and the wrong side of Tolkien mythology, which has always allowed for diversity.
-
Sep 2, 2022Beautiful visually, good actors, overall quite liked. I didn't expect much from him, but I was pleasantly surprised
-
Sep 2, 2022I really enjoyed the show. The visual is stunning and the music by Bear McCreary (Outlander) is wonderful. The cast is perfect. Even though it's not Tolkien, it does him justice.
-
Sep 2, 2022Simplemente fantástica, visualmente y auditivamente hermosa.
Comienza lento como todas las series, sin embargo si aprendes a disfrutar de cada fotograma, descubrirás que han cuidado cada detalle. -
Sep 2, 2022interesting series, I liked it. enjoyed it, great story. I don't understand why the rating is so low.
-
Sep 3, 2022a good start to the series that takes its time to introduce us to new landscapes, kingdoms and characters
-
Sep 3, 2022Очень красивое и интересное начало. Приятно вернуться в Средиземье )) к сожалению слишком много зла и негатива, как мне думается надуманно. Персонажи нравятся, локации замечательны, музыка увлекает.
-
Sep 3, 2022I really enjoyed the first two episodes while I was downing a few bottles of red wine. The visual scenery was a burst of vibrancy and sparked my imagination. I could imagine the smells, sounds and sensations of all the environments. From the earthy moss of the harfoot village to the autumn forest scent of that elf place where they got crowned
-
Sep 3, 2022THANK YOU AMAZON! I didn't realize how much I really missed watching the shenanigans of Middle Earth until last night! I LOVED IT and the visuals were absolutely stunning! Gimli was right; seeing Khazad Dum in all its glory was amazing and the scenery at the entrance to Valinor was breathtaking! I'm excited to see more and I'm definitely here for all five seasons!
-
Sep 4, 2022Thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes! Really looking forward to seeing the rest! A beautiful visual treat and fabulous to watch.

-
Sep 4, 2022I think this show has tremendous potential. I'd say there is so much uncalled-for criticism especially over politicised. This is a great adaptation of the works of Tolkien and I can't wait for it to continue.
-
Sep 4, 2022Middle earth is back and beautifully done. It shows where the $$$ were spent. Listening to soundtrack on repeat. Specially the dwarves

-
Sep 20, 2022Great production values, good performances, generally, good writing. Didn't really care for using the dwarves as comic relief, it jars with the tone of the rest of the story. this isn't The Hobbit and the worst of Jackson's work should be left behind.
-
Sep 12, 2022Very enjoyable show so far. It looks amazing and some of the cast are really good (especially nori). Actually one of the best series in years.

Sep 3, 2022Amazing! I liked the character, the setting, the landscapes were great, the transition of the map to move from one area to another. Galadriel is cool, Elrond is incredible, Durin and Disa were too cool, the Harfoots, especially Nori was amazing. I can’t wait for more episodes and seasons
-

-
Sep 5, 2022Looks amazing, great story and really well cast. Is it 100% accurate to Tolkien, no. Do I care, no.
-
Sep 6, 2022I'm actually looking forward to the next episode of RoP. The dialogue could be better and the pacing needs to be tightened up. But otherwise is enjoyable.
-
Sep 10, 2022Good entertainment, visually stunning. The cast is great - exactly the way I'd want it to be for an entertainment product in 2022.
-
Sep 12, 2022Barely barely "woke". I wouldn't even have noticed if not for the review bombs. Production and effects are top notch. Acting and script is decent enough. Storyline is a bit slow thus far, but I expect good things based on the interesting foundation already set. I'm thoroughly engrossed.
-

-
Sep 3, 2022It is a visually beautiful show, it is in process and you have to give time, to see how the story unfolds. But it is completely enjoyable. It should not be considered a literal adaptation of Tolkien's work, but rather, a work inspired by it. The error was marketing to clarify too late the restrictions on use of the material.

Adar’s début drips with signifiers. ... When Adar informs Arondir in Episode 4 that he has been told many lies, some that “run so deep even the rocks and roads now believe them,” it is still a thrill. Tolkien succeeded in creating a mythic world, one that has now grown vast enough through acts of typological repetition and imitation to conquer television, too.
-
With war brewing and the forging of the rings seemingly still far off, the first half of The Rings of Power’s first season constitutes little more than stage-setting for the struggle to come. Given the lack of quests and central commanding figures, it often makes for less-than-gripping drama. However, given that there are four more seasons already planned, and potentially dozens of new characters to be introduced, the slow and throat-clearing build is possibly a good sign.
-
The Rings of Power is a reminder of what drew many of us to epic fantasy in the first place: wonder. ... This series set in an ancient realm displays one dazzling and painterly landscape after another. Power also doesn't skimp on action. [12 - 25 Sep 2022, p.10]
