Sep 2, 2022A complete disgrace to Tolkiens legacy. The people in charge should be ashamed for tainting a great mans work like this.
-
Sep 2, 2022Tolkien is turning in his grave right now with this mess of show. What an abomination they created with this woke trash

Sep 2, 2022100% Garbage. Pirate it if you MUST watch it. Not worth a cent. A complete wokefest with every woke trope you can think off. It all comes off so cringe that even their target demographic won't like it despite being initially baited into watching for their shallow reasons.

Sep 2, 2022Vulgar and aggressive compared to the original movies, wich were poetic, calm and comfy. The Rings of Power almost looks like a Witcher series, in a bad bad way.

Sep 2, 2022This show is complete woke garbage. It was made only to indoctrinate people into this communist system that media and entertainment wants to transform this country into
-
Sep 2, 2022This is Tolkien in only name alone, I gave the show a chance, and was met with generic fantasy soap opera garbage.
-
Sep 2, 2022J.R.R. Tolkien: “Evil cannot create anything new, they can only corrupt and ruin good forces have invented or made”.

Sep 2, 2022Why bother adhering to the lore already established by one of the 20th centuries greatest literary craftsman in favor of peddling woke bullsh!t. I’m sure everyone will love it as much as me.
-
Sep 2, 2022-has writing so poor as to make a CW show seem like a masterpiece
-has twice the budget of HOTD, yet looking 10 times worse than Witcher
-Galadriel, omg Galadriel. So stunning, so brave. She does everything better than anyone else in the show, no growth. She also does it with the most disgustingly snobbish attitude.
-Every man in the show is a weakling holding Galadriel back. -

Sep 2, 2022I watch first episode, beatiful effects and music but that is all. This is lore killer series with political correctness. Complete Blend - A new generic fantasy series without love. Episode is boring. Costiumes are bad. Actors are bad. Characters are bad - especially Galadriel. There is no climate of lord of the rings. Maybe i'm to hard, but it becouse i love J. R. R. Tolkien books.

Sep 2, 2022That's a complete disaster. Better read the books or watch the LotR movies by Jackson
-
Sep 2, 2022Absolutely garbage. Tolkien rolls in his grave at the shameless appropriation and defilement of his life's work. Not only that, but it is, at its best, boring.
-
Sep 2, 2022Ofensa a obra de Tolkien e mal feito. Galadriel horrivel, , lacraão pura e panfletagem política
-
Sep 2, 2022I was surprised at how bad it was. Very Disappointed. Call Peter Jackson next time

Sep 2, 2022Yikes. No character development, incredibly weak dialogue, poor writing, marginal acting. This is the best they could do for a billion dollar lord of the rings show? Pretty visuals, but that's about it.
-
Sep 8, 2022They fired they Tolkien expert becourse he had other opinions. They should have insted fired everyone else insted of him.
This is hollow and empty tale, only thing that is good is visuals.

Sep 2, 2022Terrible writing, boring characters, awful dialogue. This was even worse than I expected. A disgrace to Tolkien. The sooner this is cancelled and memory-holed, the better for all Tolkien fans. AVOID!
-
Sep 2, 2022Disgracing Tolkiens legacy, shame on you Amazon. Evil cannot create, it can only corrup what is already good.

Adar’s début drips with signifiers. ... When Adar informs Arondir in Episode 4 that he has been told many lies, some that “run so deep even the rocks and roads now believe them,” it is still a thrill. Tolkien succeeded in creating a mythic world, one that has now grown vast enough through acts of typological repetition and imitation to conquer television, too.

With war brewing and the forging of the rings seemingly still far off, the first half of The Rings of Power’s first season constitutes little more than stage-setting for the struggle to come. Given the lack of quests and central commanding figures, it often makes for less-than-gripping drama. However, given that there are four more seasons already planned, and potentially dozens of new characters to be introduced, the slow and throat-clearing build is possibly a good sign.

The Rings of Power is a reminder of what drew many of us to epic fantasy in the first place: wonder. ... This series set in an ancient realm displays one dazzling and painterly landscape after another. Power also doesn't skimp on action. [12 - 25 Sep 2022, p.10]
