Summary: Nicole Guerin is a young woman who has always had seasonal allergies, but suddenly, her episodes become extremely frequent. She has many sinus problems, nosebleeds, fevers, chills, night sweats, problems with her eye, a swollen right knee, facialpain,and chest pains with shortness of breath and wheezing. Doctors can't tell what's wrong withNicole Guerin is a young woman who has always had seasonal allergies, but suddenly, her episodes become extremely frequent. She has many sinus problems, nosebleeds, fevers, chills, night sweats, problems with her eye, a swollen right knee, facialpain,and chest pains with shortness of breath and wheezing. Doctors can't tell what's wrong with her, until one does an invasive lung biopsy on her. Nicole then learns that she has a rare autoimmune condition called Wegener's granulomatosis. Marathon runner Aran Gordon has been a healthy man approaching middle age, until he somehow becomes unusually tired. With this onset, his bones begin to crack, he gains an orange discoloration of his skin, his joints become extremely painful.,his heartpalpitates, and his liver becomes enlarged. Aran's symptoms are so bad thatthey hinder hisrunning, but fortunately, he eventually finds out that he has a genetic condition called hemochromatosis.… Expand
