Summary: Sixteen-year-old Jennifer Fagenson comes down with altitude sickness and takes aspirin to help relieveit, but unfortunately, this lands her in the hospital. It turns out that Jennifer actually has a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). Joyce Gonzales, a healthy mother of two, suddenly has pain in her hand and forearm that spreads to her other arm and weakness in her hands. She is initially diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome, then chronic pain syndrome, but the pain is too much for her, and she also finds out she has brain lesions.
