Summary: The five remaining aspiring chefs are presented with a challenge that requires them to cook for cheap. They visit a local fresh food market and purchase $10 worth of ingredients each in ten minutes, then are given 30 minutes to create a dish using these ingredients. The winning chef is given a day at a poolside cabana with Jean-Philippe and a following chef, followed by a $1,000 shopping spree at a kitchen supply store. The losers are subjected to Hell's Kitchen laundry day. A romance develops between two of the chefs. At the evening service, Chef Ramsay challenges the chefs to communicate by making them continuously switch stations throughout service.
