Summary: Chef Ramsay introduces himself to the 16 new contestants by announcing that they are expected to complete their very first dinner service. He then divides them into two teams, men vs. women, and sends them to the kitchen to prepare their signature dishes. The chefs present the dishes as part of the first challenge between the Red Team and the Blue Team. Several chefs impress Ramsay with their dishes, while others simply fall flat or even shock Chef Ramsay. The losing team is made to provide breakfast in bed for the winners the next morning. Trying to give the chefs some extra guidance to fulfill his guarantee of a completed service, Ramsay gives the chefs a series of late-night video lessons.
