It's a the same as the original show, exactly the same show. If you liked the original but dislike this one it's only because you're no longer a kid. your children are most likely to enjoy this show. It's standard Full House with a slightly different set up in the house but the exact same humour.

Full House was just as fully great you wanted it to be, but Fuller House take the things that normally cause Full House to be a great TV show and throws them away.

It's... alright. I've seen worse, but it's really nothing more than musky gas of nostalgia with nothing behind. Pretty okay for a one episode re-union, but after the first episode, the series is rather lacking and is essentially just "Full House: The Next generation", although, unlike Star Trek, this next generation is pretty underwhelming.

Netflix's surprise sequel series to one of the most beloved, family-friendly sitcoms of all time takes a while to find it's groove. It's early episodes are downright grating. It's early episodes are downright grating. However once you get past the awkward starting episodes, filled with cringe-worthy attempts at self-awareness ("Lol, does anybody else here those violins?") and bad dance numbers, it starts to come together and you begin to realize that just maybe these ladies can hold the show together without the adults returning.

I have to admit there is quite a bit of nostalgia here. Plenty of references for the fans (most of them done in awfully unfunny ways), returning characters, and even the same dang house. It even manages to capture the same sweet vibe from time to time.

However despite all of the throwbacks it never quite manages to completely recapture the feel of the original show. Longtime fans should still be mostly pleased with the show, but the attempts to modernize it end up hurting it in the end. For starters it loses some of that wholesomeness that made the original show a treat for families. I was both shocked and appalled by the amount of sexual humor, innuendos, and references to drinking. I don't recall Full House having any of that back in the day, and if it did it certainly wasn't so blatantly obvious.

As far as the cast itself goes the returning characters are just as likable as ever. Characters like Uncle Joey and Jesse might just be relegated to the occasional cameo, but it's still a treat to see them onscreen again. The Tanner girls and Kimmy do a great job of carrying the show in their new role. As for the new characters, they aren't so appreciated.

The kids are mostly bland and uninteresting. DJ's middle-child "Max" (Elias Harger) downright irritated me whenever he was onscreen for the majority of this season, mostly due to his tendency to scream all of his lines. The writers also tried way too hard to make his jokes come off as cute. The two older children are just dull. The new adults aren't much better. They all do start to become more likable as the season nears it's conclusion, but for the majority of the season I just didn't care about them.

Yeah, the first season of "Fuller House" gets off to a flawed start. It shows more and more promise as it progresses though. The characters become more likable and the humor gets sharper. Once the laughs get more frequent it becomes easier to put up with it's flaws.

As it stands this is a decent, yet subpar start to the new series. It doesn't quite capture the original's magic, but can still provide plenty of nostalgic moments for longtime fans. If they can continue to keep improving on everything in the next season then we could very well have a successful sequel series on our hands. They just need to sharpen up the writing, get back that squeaky-clean wholesomeness (or for the love of God just be subtle about it!), and get that darn kid to stop yelling his lines. If all that happens then Fuller House will be the revival of Full House fans deserve. As of right now it's the occasional nostalgia inducing, blast from the past that doesn't quite have all the pieces coming together yet. However, it's not hard to see how it can all get there.

Fuller House is funny in that only because it tries to be funny and fails, kind of funny. Aunt Becky has now turned into a woman who is so lonely for contact that she contemplates stealing DJ's baby. DJ's ex Steve is a stalker and Kimmie Gibbler seems to be into freaky sex acts; though these ideas in themselves are interesting, it never is pushed to a level of being quite good. All I can say is DJ is annoying, the kids are annoying and trying to bring back old catch phrases falls flat, but I still enjoy how bad it all is. Maybe next season DJ's dead husband will reveal to us all he faked his death. Expand

Fuller House has nostalgia written all over it. Minus the Olsen Twins, the entire original cast is here. Reversing the concept of the original, DJ is now a widow and Stephanie and Kimmy move in to assist DJ with her three boys.

While the show does have some laughs and tender moments, overall, the writing is extremely poor. The show is like the art work on the Tanner's refrigerator: cute

Unfortunately the mix that worked in the 80s, doesn't carry over into 2016. The show is filled with annoying laugh track, a load of cheap jokes with some tiny bits of funny content, and forgettable faces outside of the characters of the original cast. Fuller House tries to shove nostalgia down your throat immediately in the first episode. While it was nice to see Danny Tanner and the gang's cheerful mood again, it was done in the clunkiest way. Even with its flaws, it is still family friendly enough to get the kids in the living room and show them the family that you grew up with as a kid. Also, Jodi Sweetin "grew up"...alot. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The beauty of this show being on Netflix is that you get to take all the goodness in at once, however long that may last. I watched Full House not too long ago, so the first 3-4 episodes were just filled with everything I wanted to see in a sequel series and I laughed my ass off. But after that, my enjoyment of it kind of took a downward drop. The jokes started falling flat on their faces, and the show's reliance on older cast members to bring the fun back just seemed a bit forced to me(although they did joke about it once). The only thing that got me through the whole season is the fact that my Full House experience was still pretty fresh, and of course, Tommy(and Cosmo too) Expand

There are a few consistent bright spots, including party-girl Stephanie’s interactions with DJ’s annoying (sorry!) kids; the original series’ now-twentysomething fans will likely identify with her more than any other character.

It feels like just leaving the TV on as rerun after rerun piles up. The laugh lines are predictable. The gags play out exactly as you'd expect.

The first episode does a nice enough job juxtaposing scenes from the original with parallel scenes in the present, but enjoying Fuller House will require a high tolerance for laugh tracks and corny sitcom humor.
