Summary: The 7th Eurovision Song Contest, to this day, remains the only contest held on a Sunday. From this contest the rule was implemented that each competing nation would have ten judges. Each of them would rank the performances, awarding 3, 2, or 1 point(s) accordingly. All of these scores were added together with all the judges from each nation, to create an overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings for each nation. These would then receive 3, 2 or 1 point(s) that went toward their overall tally.
