While the first episode is comfortingly familiar to Community obsessives, the second one feels weirdly off.

Although the cast changes may take a while to get used to at the start, they soon become hilarious, lovable additions to the group. The humour is a bit wackier, which I love, and the lack of restraints of being on Yahoo instead of television really shows (Especially in running time of episodes). This season really has been fantastic and quirky. Full Review »

Just sat through the first 3 episodes, I wasn't expecting much but they really surprised me with the quality of this new season. The fact they decided to just go completely insane with the plotlines was in my opinion, really smart. Full Review »

This season feels different, but in a good way. Shirley has left the group and Troy now being long gone, Community has added Frankie (played by Paget Brewster) and Elroy (played by the amazing Keith David). These additions are great and I'm very surprised how much I actually liked the Frankie character. She adds "the straight man" (or in the case woman) view that is missing from the group since... ever. And no matter what he is in, I love Keith David (Gargoyles ftw). The first two episodes were funny and full of Community-esque shenanigans.

I can see how fans of Community would be turned off from this new season being on Yahoo or the cast changes, but even if I didn't like the season that much, more Community is better than no Community. But , I actually did like the first two episodes and I think I will like the rest of the season. If you haven't tried Community yet, seasons 1-5 are on Hulu or check your local listings. I just hope Yahoo Screen's video player gets better...
