Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset

Cathy & Mark Plummer of #61 want their spare room to be a place for work and place. Mark is a management accountant and Cathy is a teacher.

In #48, David & Michaela Reynolds have outgrown their playroom and would prefer a more grown up dining room. Michaela is a nurse and David is a detective sergeant. They have 3 young children.

Anna Ryder Richardson assists David & Michaela in Cathy & Mark's playroom. They take the carpet up and sand the floor back, then use a lime wax on it. Anna has a design for a cabinet where all the doors are puzzle pieces. The only problem is getting the doors to actually shut. Also, there could be an issue with the lime green and tangerine walls -- apparently those two colors are the homeowners least favorite.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen will help in David & Michaela's dining room. He puts Cathy & Mark to work quickly by having them rip up the carpet to see what's below. They expected concrete but actually find a very nice tiled floor. Then they take off the wallpaper, something Laurence says he's never done. They take on another large project by trying to uncover a fireplace that has been cemented up. It takes awhile but they eventually get the very tiny opening to the fireplace cleared. Laurence gives a window somewhat of a stained glass treatment by painting it and inserting lead strips. He also applies a stencil to the top of the walls. All this in hopes of creating a William Morris look.
