Graphically, you're in for a treat. What strikes you immediately is the great job the designers have done with the lighting effects.

Ultimately, the only ones likely to enjoy RTX Red Rock are the hardcore sci-fi buffs who can look past the flawed game engine and through to the core story. There is a lot of potential in RTX, sadly most of it is unrealized.

What there is, generally, is okay - fun, visceral combat, easy controls, reasonable graphics. It just needs more moves, more weapons, more variety... just more in general.

The backdrops and characters are all superbly detailed, with the characters themselves being in real-time 3D, while the backdrops are pre-rendered...A potentially good game spoiled by stupid bugs.

The good news is that you'll have some fun with NFL Tour, especially with friends. But the joy will be short lived when you realize that the feature set is comparable to the original NBA Jam -- just pick a team and play. It's a thin package that comes off as more of a $30 budget title than a full-fledged effort.

As is so often the case in this genre, the minigames miss as many pitches as they hit. We'd actually recommend the Xbox predecessor over this one, if it didn't suffer horrible performance problems when running on the 360.

It's a rap-flavored karaoke program with a minor gameplay element and nowhere near enough songs. It's a missed opportunity... and that's whack, yo.

The game's controls and user-interface are clean and intuitive: the analog stick and four face buttons are all that's needed to play, and the unobtrusive onscreen icons give you necessary information when you need it.

The hell of the game is that the environmental puzzle setups look pretty good -- climb the wall, lash onto the nearest outcropping, swing to clamber chainlink fences, etc. It's just a shame the game actively fights your ability to navigate them.

You shouldn’t be buying Combat Zone for its graphics, or the sound. You should really be getting this one for its gameplay. Thankfully, it does not disappoint in this respect, nor in the sharpness of the AI exhibited therein.
