  • Summary: From the burned out warehouses, darkened alleys, and gritty streets of Drasuka, Kakuto masters gather to prove themselves in the ultimate fight club. Enter Fist of Fire, the brutal underground tournament whose members erupt in savage fury to kick, gouge, and pummel their way to the top.

  1. This is not a bad game...it is merely uninspired.
  2. 62
Technically solid, but Kakuto Chojin lacks the spark of a great fighter. It has no soul.
  3. 60
It seems like the game is not just merely unpolished or unfinished, but almost completely absent.
  4. The few bright spots are that combos are easy to perform and each character does indeed have a distinctive fighting style. Yet these are quickly dimmed by players whipping through the Story mode within eight minutes using a single button (Y) for nearly all of the characters.
  5. Not what it appears to be. It’s like pulling a blond stunner in a club only to get home and discover your ‘date’ is better endowed than you, and with five-o’clock shadow to boot.
  6. Opponents cannot be forced off balance, pressured, or intercepted. Kaktuo Chojin rarely forces players to think, react, or adapt to their opponents. Worse still is the absence of a deep grappling system.
  7. What was once a somewhat promising game, has easily become one of the worst of the year...Right up there with "Rise of the Robots" and "Shaq Fu." Stay away.

Just look at Shadow,Sabre compared to Bo Rai Cho and Cage, it would be like choosing Tekken over Soul Calibur, ITS A CLEAR CHOICE KAKUTO CHOJIN RULES, PLUS IT DOESN'T HURT IT ONE OF THE BEST LOOKING FIGHTERS AROUND. Then I went into the moves list and discovered that there are a hell of a lot of moves for every character, although the chojin moves are sayed to be secret so you have to figure them out for yourself. You can get through this game with each character pretty fast, but to master the games moves would take forever. Just take a look at the moves set and you will know what I'm talking about. The character graphics are good, as are the lighting and shadowing effects, but the arenas are as empty and dead as the first Battle Arena Toshinden. The music is good heavy metal in some areas, boring in others. And what's with no blood? All you see when you hit your opponent is a red cloud like the crap in Tekken. This is supposed to be undergroung fighting, right? If only the arenas had breakable objects like the ones in Tao Feng it would have been better. If you're looking for the best fighting game on the Box, stick with DOA 3 or Tao Feng. If you just want something different this might do. Also this game was recalled because of religious references in the game so good luck finding it! Expand
