Mafia II tells one of the best character-driven stories in all of gaming and it does so in a masterful way. Its gameplay may not deviate from genre norms yet it remains a wholly immersive and gripping tale that you'll want to see through to its jaw-dropping end.

Lethal League is an enjoyable and unique competitive game that features fast-paced and immediately gratifying gameplay. That being said, your enjoyment will likely dwindle soon after the repetition of it all starts to sink in.

Few games offer as much variety as Dustoff Z and its tight gameplay and rewarding progression systems make it one enjoyable indie.

No matter how you slice it, Neptunia x SENRAN KAGURA: Ninja Wars is a great deal of fun, especially with its hilarious dialogue scenes and cheeky cast of characters. It could have been a lot more enjoyable with some sort of multiplayer component, though.

It may be quite lonely on Star Overdrive's planet but there's so much to see and do and its rockin' vibes help tie it all together.

Mr. Shifty has a promising gimmick but the fact that you can easily exploit it makes it far too easy and tedious. Hopefully the developers retool this and work on a sequel because they definitely have a winning formula here; it's just not well executed.

As a revival of a very special Sega Genesis classic, ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove will certainly give fans the funky good times that they crave. However, those devoid of funk likely won't be up for the down stroke.

Button City is one of those games that I really wanted to love but ended up displeased by its clunky setup and subpar mini-games. There is still a good time to be had in its cute world, though, especially if you don't mind taking the bad with the good.

Kiln is bursting with smashtastic gameplay and so much charm that I want a Celadon poster just so I can remember how cool it is to be silly.

The Adventures of Elena Temple is a quick little puzzle platformer assembled within a single dungeon to explore. However, at just over an hour to 100% complete it, you'll be done with it quickly unless you create challenges for yourself or care about improving stats.

Party Hard 2 is definitely a step up from the original but it's still plagued with dumb AI and gameplay that can be rather tedious at times.

I'm very happy with how cute and accessible SMURFS KART is because it allows anyone to enjoy racing in adorable little karts as their favourite miniature blue chum. It may be a bit short on content but it's certainly not short on fun.

Riverbond is definitely an appealing game, especially if you want an easy breezy co-op experience to wind down with. However, the lack of both challenge and replay incentives means that you likely won't get more than a few hours of passive enjoyment out of it.

The Lightbringer is a beautiful game that'll appeal to anyone who enjoys 3D platforming with elaborate puzzle-filled stages. I wish that it was a bit more forgiving with its continue system, though, as playing through a lengthy stage again can be a huge pain in the tuchus.

I ended up thoroughly enjoying my time with GreedFall: The Dying World but it certainly isn't for everyone, especially impatient folks who aren't willing to let it grow on them as they carefully tinker with the wealth of options and gameplay systems.

I mostly enjoyed my time with Little Witch Nobeta, especially with its gratifying combat and consistent character enhancements. However, it's still a rather clunky game that could greatly benefit from a map and more distinct environments.

As a long-time fan of Taito's Operation series of light gun games, I'm super-excited that Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission VR finally puts the familiar gameplay in the virtual realm and for the most part, it's great stuff that'll make you feel like one of The Expendables.

I'm very happy to now have remastered editions of the first 6 Tomb Raider games even if those included in this collection aren't of the same level of quality as the iconic first 3. The poor lighting and lack of extras doesn't help but they're still highly enjoyable games overall.

Even with its current amount of bugs and other rough-around-the-edges aspects, Park Beyond is a brilliantly imaginative simulation game that'll take you away to a carefree and fun-filled world where you can easily make the park of your dreams.

As a newcomer to the franchise, I enjoyed My Hero One's Justice 2. It certainly isn't the best arena fighter but what's here is definitely fun stuff. With that said, hardcore fighter fans may find the experience to be quite a tough pill to swallow.

I didn't expect to love GetsuFumaDen: Undying Moon as much as I did. As a revival of an old game that not many folks are aware of, it does an excellent job of offering a modern and challenging roguelike experience. I hope to see many more games like this.

Although the shift to a more action-oriented combat system initially made me hesitant, I ended up loving every second of Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters once it all clicked. Plus, the meta-humour and lovely cast of characters are more delightful than ever.

Syberia - Remastered is a classic adventure game and this new iteration certainly delivers a unique clockpunk aesthetic that the series is known for. It's still difficult to move around and there are bugs but if you're a fan of adventure games, you'll be happy to play this.

I had a solid time with CRYMACHINA overall but it certainly doesn't live up to similar action RPGs that offer much more impactful stories and consistently engaging gameplay. The characters are delightful, though, so you may want to check it out just for the tea parties.

Fox n Forests is impressive in its authentic SNES visuals, sound, and gameplay. That being said, if it were an actual Super NES game then it would be one of those obscure titles that only a handful of gamers enjoyed back in the day.

As a huge fan of the series, I must say that Spelunker Party is one of the most disappointing video games that I've ever played. If you own a PlayStation 4 then do yourself a favour and download the free (and far superior) Spelunker World instead.

The Story Goes On is one of the most interesting roguelikes that I've played in a while due to its incredibly clever secrets and satisfying gameplay. However, the easy difficulty and lack of presentational flair often make it feel a bit flat.
