Blair Witch is more of an exercise in tedium than it is an immersive atmospheric horror experience. There are some clever mechanics and a ton of replay incentives yet the campaign manages to derail from its promising premise thus making the rest of the story fall flat.

Even though I enjoyed my time with Everreach: Project Eden for the most part, there's no denying just how half-baked it is. If it released for the original Xbox, it would probably be a cult hit but in 2019, it simply feels dated.

Semispheres is a clever blend of stealth and polarity-based puzzles but the content is severely lacking. As a result, you may have an enjoyable time with Semispheres but that fun won't last much longer than about an hour.

Snow Moto Racing Freedom is a disappointing follow-up to last year's surprisingly enjoyable Aqua Moto Racing Utopia. Although it features interesting open-ended tracks, the gameplay simply doesn't pull itself from racing mediocrity.

If Gem Smashers posed any sort of challenge then it would be a good (if not, great) puzzler due to its unique mechanics and intuitive gameplay. Considering you can't even die, the only enjoyable way to play it is via local multiplayer.

DreamWorks Voltron VR Chronicles features a solid tale that's full of action. However, the fact that it's over soon after you begin and that there's very little challenge makes it a game that's best enjoyed by hardcore Voltron: Legendary Defender fans.

With so many similar and far superior games out there, it's tough to recommend Moonscars with its tedious game world and annoying gameplay. It does some things exceptionally well, though, but these aspects definitely don't make up for all of its shortcomings.

The Banner Saga games look and sound great and there has clearly been a lot of effort put into their design and lore but their repetitive battles and profuse, prattling dialogue make their journeys ones of drawn-out tedium rather than exhilarating adventure.

B.ARK definitely looks like a promising shmup with its cartoon visuals and variety of animal chums but it falls apart at the seams when you compare it to its genre predecessors. It's still kind of fun at times, though, especially with its 4 player co-op component.

Harvest Moon: Home Sweet Home Special Edition is a disappointing farming sim that doesn't do much to keep you coming back. There are many better games out there that deserve your attention including The Winds of Anthos so ignore this and go pick that up.

If you're a fan of Utawarerumono then Mask of Deception is definitely a worthwhile addition to the series. However, everyone else will likely find the protracted plot and simplistic battle system to be ultimately underwhelming and tedious.

Is it out of time for games like Out of Line or did it run out of shine which made me go out of mind? Either way, now that I'm out of whine, I'll slap a 5.6 on this review and look forward to what the devs come up with down the line.

Although The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince's story and presentation are beautiful, its often frustrating and tedious gameplay makes it a difficult game to enjoy. Because of that, it would have been a better experience if it was an anime instead.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants provides simple beat 'em up entertainment that can be kind of fun for a couchful of chums. However, its middling nature certainly leaves a lot to be desired.

I thoroughly enjoyed Little Orpheus' premise and imaginative game world so it's unfortunate that its gameplay is as basic and unchallenging as it is. Plus, having collectibles spawn only after you complete stages makes for some super-tedious replay value.

Subterrain deserves praise for the intricacy of its various systems but they could have been implemented in a much more user-friendly way. With all the constant monitoring and running back and forth, it'd probably be less stressful to endure a real zombie apocalypse.

League of Evil is a simplistic 2D platformer that's clearly inspired by Super Meat Boy. The thing is, without any unique gameplay hooks, it ends up being a mostly unappealing experience that pales in comparison to its genre counterparts.

Unless you're a hardcore fan of the original board game or you're looking a simple game to play with your kids, it's hard to wholeheartedly recommend The Game of Life 2. That being said, it does have some lovely graphics and fun themes.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle disappointingly fails to live up to its genre predecessors. Those who love the Rangers and don't mind playing a substandard beat 'em up should check it out but it isn't much of a game to widely recommend.

I wanted to enjoy Truberbrook but mediocre frustrating gameplay can only be helped so much by amazing art. I can only recommend it to people who absolutely love point and click games and don't mind being bogged down by major gameplay issues.

Carrion is a game that I would love to play through in one night with a group of friends as long as I'm not the one playing it. While it's not the best Metroidvania to navigate, it's a joy to watch. If you love horror, especially old monster movies, this is worth checking out for the atmosphere alone as it makes for a rather spook-tacular night.

Sword of the Vagrant is a boring hack and slash RPG that has a lot of promise but will definitely begin to test your patience only a couple of hours into its campaign. It might be fun for some mindless action or to admire 2D boobies but that's about it.

Dauntless is one of those games that's best played in short bursts every once in a while. If it featured more gameplay variety and character growth that relied on careful decision making then it would have been a much more worthwhile game.

Mr. Shifty has a promising gimmick but the fact that you can easily exploit it makes it far too easy and tedious. Hopefully the developers retool this and work on a sequel because they definitely have a winning formula here; it's just not well executed.

Turf Wars is a substantial step down from The Heist as its unvaried and brief campaign along with its stereotypical story make it an easily forgettable piece of content. That being said, there are some redeeming qualities but they are too few and far between.

Not everyone will appreciate the mind-numbing effect that comes with playing Islanders: Console Edition but if you're in the market for a game that'll put you to sleep then I recommend checking it out. Those looking for a challenge won't find one here, though.

Fallen Legion: Sins of an Empire is one of the most promising action RPGs that I've seen in a long time but its reliance on repetitive battles will surely wear down any genre fan's enthusiasm quicker than Cecille can say "Cassandra's Coil!"

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is a simple game about traveling the USA while listening to and telling stories. Unfortunately, I can't wholly recommend it because of its long stretches of tedium in between only a few interesting parts.
