After playing Fairy Tail for a handful of hours, you'll look at your accumulated time and wonder what else you could have done with it. For example, you could have been playing something much more enjoyable, I can guarantee that much.

My time spent with Little Dragons Cafe was bittersweet. The story, graphics, and exploration are enjoyable for a while but the terrible pacing, graphical issues, and often annoying controls will likely make you leave a less than stellar Yelp review for this cafe.

With so many amazing action RPGs and adventure games out there, playing Chronos: Before the Ashes often feels redundant, especially because it manages both genres with a great deal of mediocrity. In other words, it doesn't quite add up to a satisfying journey.

Even though Liege Dragon isn't the best old-school RPG to be released in recent years, it still has its charms. The simplicity of it all can actually be kind of refreshing but it also makes tedium sink in much sooner than you'd hope.

Stranded Sails is an okay exploration game that rewards you for adventuring into the nooks and crannies of its tropical islands. However, it doesn't do much to stand out and has some annoying gameplay aspects that make exploring feel like a chore.

If you're looking for the next great Metroidvania game or a rewarding adventure puzzler then Mystik Belle unfortunately falls short in both regards. That being said, it is a clever blend of genres so hopefully we see a sequel that isn't as rough around the edges.

We Happy Few is an ambitious title with an interesting premise but it fails to deliver on the things that make a video game fun to play.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk offers plenty of content for fans of the franchise in an impressively presented package. However, its gameplay falls flat as it fails to pull itself from Musou mediocrity.

League of War: VR Arena provides a simple gameplay dynamic that can be enjoyable both solo and with a local chum. That being said, the easily exploitable AI and tiresome formula will ensure that the war concludes before its soldiers have a chance to prove their valour.

Devious Dungeon is a competent game but it lacks any notable features that would make it stand out in a sea of similar currently available games. Different playable classes, varied level objectives, diverse weapons, and a plethora of other gameplay options could have helped alleviate some of the repetition but unfortunately, none of that kind of content is featured here.

There's no denying that Just Cause 4 is a disappointing game with its generic gameplay and embarrassing graphics. There is some fun to be had in its action-packed world but I would have much rather played Renegade Ops 2 instead.

Staxel delivers a mediocre mix of block-building, farming, and foraging without providing any substantial drive or reward for your efforts. In other words, you'll be better off picking up one of the many games that Staxel was inspired by instead.

After all is said and done, Emerald Shores has potential but it's held back by tedious combat that drags down most of the experience.

If you're looking for the next must-have competitive multiplayer game then you may be disappointed with Strikers Edge's basic gameplay and lack of content. However, its frantic fast-paced formula is fun enough to be worth playing from time to time.

There's something irresistibly relaxing about non-violently gliding around the beautiful environments of InnerSpace. However, that calm feeling quickly turns into frustration whenever you realise that you haven't made any progress in hours.

Styx: Shards of Darkness is a promising stealth experience with massive stages and an interesting blend of genres. However, its frequently frustrating and tedious gameplay make playing it often feel like a chore.

If you're looking for a captivating story set in an immersive world then Masquerada: Songs and Shadows is sure to satisfy. However, as an RPG, it simply doesn't provide enough rewarding gameplay to delight genre fans.

Assault Gunners is an odd game to dig out of obscurity. Thankfully, this HD Edition provides some fun for mech enthusiasts who love to craft custom creations but it certainly doesn't feel like a current generation experience.

Newbies who are easily impressed with any game that looks retro might enjoy Shikhondo: Soul Eater. However, if you're a hardcore shoot 'em up fan or even have some familiarity with the genre, you'll be rather disappointed with this offering.

Penny-Punching Princess is a promising arena beat 'em up with RPG elements and an innovative bribing system. However, its repetitive gameplay and steep difficulty make it an exercise in tedium. Here's hoping for a sequel that remedies its unfortunate shortcomings.

CastleStorm II isn't a bad game but it's definitely a substantial step down from the classic original. Speaking of which, after playing this over the past few days, I think I'll go back to enjoying the fantastic first game as it's a far more polished experience.

There are many times when it feels less like a game and more like some elaborate joke to troll you. Put a podcast on when you play and it's an okay way to pass the time. Otherwise, it might lead to sensory deprivation.

Having the ability to play a Commander Keen game on a modern console is fantastic. However, Keen Dreams is far from the best that the series has to offer so here's hoping that we get to enjoy the commander's other adventures soon.

As slow-paced first-person mystery adventures go, Draugen is about as middle-of-the-road as you could get. It offers an intriguing story with interesting subject matter in a picturesque setting yet it ultimately feels unfulfilling once the brief story reaches its conclusion.

Wanted: Dead reminds me of the PS2-era Onechanbara games but it's substantially less entertaining with its clunky gameplay and odd story, characters, and dialogue that I'm not quite sure if I should be laughing at or with.

Valkyria Revolution is a noble effort at providing fans with a fresh take on the series but it unfortunately doesn't quite live up to its genre contemporaries. That being said, it may satisfy if you simply want to be immersed in an intriguing tale.

If Poison Control smoothed out its combat and performance issues while adding more interesting complexity to its gameplay then it could be quite a fun quirky little game. As it is, it's certainly charming but definitely difficult to recommend.
