CastleStorm II levels up gaming’s greatest genre mishmash with ruthless destruction powered by Unreal 4, plus a whole new metagame of strategic, tactical conquest. The heroes of the Kingdom defend their homeland against the vile forces of the Undead, and only you can plot the path to triumph for both sides in two epic story-driven campaigns. But not without some hands-on chaotic carnage and delightful devastation. Expand

CastleStorm II's brand of real-time strategy tower defense is just challenging enough to keep you engaged, but not so much that you're throwing your controller.

If you can look past the rather hefty problems – i.e., the silly amount of loading screens found in the campaign – then the rest of CastleStorm II on Xbox One is absolutely fine. The humour is stupid but on point, the battle scenes are fast and frantic, and the world-building is just deep enough to let you feel like you’ve got a proper control over proceedings.

CastleStorm II isn't a bad game but it's definitely a substantial step down from the classic original. Speaking of which, after playing this over the past few days, I think I'll go back to enjoying the fantastic first game as it's a far more polished experience.

CastleStorm II returns to a classic fantasy land of medieval madness filled with the most heroic of knights, enchanting sorceresses, blazing griffins and of course sheep. A new threat rises from the grave with an onslaught of walking corpses, headless horsemen. and zombified sheep. An all out total necromancy is in full effect in CastleStorm II. CastleStorm II emphasizes the importance of action points, but it’s easy to forget after victory or losing in boss battle. The beautiful graphics and sounds of CastleStorm II significantly upgrades the series from the original game. CastleStorm is a great game; probably the most fun I have had with a tower defense title that I can recently recall. However, this is mostly due to the campaign that varies the gameplay elements as you progress and challenges you to use the many of the games elements in an effective manner to actually proceed. I highly recommend CastleStorm II to new comers and fans of the original you won't be disappointed in the least. If your a fan of the tower defense genre be sure to add CastleStorm II to your Xbox One library and achieve victory against the undead! Expand
