Sep 29, 2017It would have been very easy for Digital Domain to make a low-effort Voltron knockoff, but instead Voltron VR Chronicles feels like a small slice of the show brought to life. While it is a little short, and the interactivity is somewhat basic, if you are a fan, this game is a must have. Next time, just let us form Voltron and give us sword and shield VR controls to take out the next episode’s Robeast!

Sep 26, 2017Voltron VR Chronicles is a small and sweet love letter to a great cartoon series. It also makes great wish fulfillment—on par with Star Wars Battlefront’s VR Mission—for those whose childhoods were enriched by the series back in the day. If there’s a specific thing to call out against the game, I was a little bummed that there were no interactive bits involving Voltron itself. Then again, as the giant robot’s right leg, what is there to do except kick furiously? With a nice balance between in-engine cinematics and simple, yet solid gameplay, this is one of those VR games I plan to keep on my PlayStation 4 to show others the immersive capabilities of the PSVR and to keep me satiated until the next season of the show debuts on Netflix.

Oct 10, 2017Voltron isn't much of a game but it's an amazing VR experience. If you go in expecting eye candy with a small sprinkling of gameplay, you probably won't be disappointed.

Sep 26, 2017Dreamworks Voltron VR Chronicles is surprisingly not terrible. In fact, it’s actually a fun, faithful, and polished love letter for fans of the franchise with some awesome moments that anyone would enjoy. What a shame, then, that the experience is completely let down at the end by robbing you of the chance to actually play as the titular machine. But, if you can accept that this is a Voltron experience without actual Voltron gameplay, there’s some Saturday morning thrills to be had here.

Oct 17, 2017Voltron VR Chronicle would have been far better if it was limited to being a “VR experience” rather than a VR game. An episode of Voltron like any other, but one that you watch from inside the cartoon’s world rather than through a TV.
-
Sep 27, 2017The graphics and voice acting totally put you into the world of the show, and even offers some decent gameplay, if you're new to VR. For non-fans and VR veterans there's simply not enough here to warrant a full recommendation. You'll get a fun hour or so out of the game, but it's not offering much new outside of being set in the Voltron universe.

Sep 26, 2017DreamWorks Voltron VR Chronicles features a solid tale that's full of action. However, the fact that it's over soon after you begin and that there's very little challenge makes it a game that's best enjoyed by hardcore Voltron: Legendary Defender fans.
