Square Enix's decision to separate the game into several episodes and market the game as a “Season” may interrupt with the storytelling of the game, but it also takes the game back to its roots, putting you in a sandbox full of opportunities and choices. Not all of the episodes are on par with each other and the “Opportunities” helping method makes the game feel a bit too easy and straight forward. But other than that, the game is a great addition to the series and fans of the series (especially “Blood Money” fans) would love it.

Just like a next gen release title, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the next gen for an aging game series, and I don’t mean it in a bad way, but that is a welcomed change. I will miss Kiryu as a protagonist, but Ichiban Kasuga is wonderful as well, he is relatable and isn’t afraid to say what he feels, and so will I: this game is amazing and I hope you’d like it too.

When Square Enix called this game: "More Than a Remaster", they we're exaggerating in the slightest. Barring some questionable VA choices, this is an absolute blast of a remaster, and a game that would please both fans of the PSP classic and newcomers alike.

All in all, FIFA 19 is a good game, it distinguishes itself from its competition (PES) by being slower with an emphasis on tactics, but it doesn't give us a lot more than last year's game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a good, but not great. The combat is fun, the music is phenomenal and the huge and lush world of Alrest is a joy to venture through. But with all that said, the game is plagued by a messy UI system, almost nonexistent map, weird blade acquiring system, terrible and sometimes mediocre plot. It really looks like the game tried its best not be Xenoblade Chronicles X, and was less concerned with building on it’s predecessor.

Please don't be fooled by the appearance and trailers for this game: It may have the appearance of a children's book, but its contents are more akin to Tolkien's The Silmarillion.

The graphics are subpar for sure, but this doesn't detract from the fact that this is one of the best, but even bigger than that, one of the most important games the Pokemon franchise has ever seen. This is what you call a genre and series defining game. Gen 9 cannot go back to the old format after what we've seen with Legends Arceus.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a great game for fans of the Souls-like genre, especially those who enjoyed the Nioh series. The combat is fun and challenging, the progression systems are deep and satisfying, and the art design is impressive. But I honestly don't think it's for anyone who isn't a Souls fan.

If we put aside for a moment the fact that this is a rather short experience, what we have here is a stunning indie game that does what it wants to do very well which makes the overall experience you will get from it a successful one, and personally I think it is one of the sweetest surprises of 2024.

While not adding too much to the formula, Worms W.M.D’s back to the roots philosophy is welcomed. The new vehicles and weapons are great and the fact it’s on the Nintendo Switch enables you to set up a Worms party anywhere you go. It’s a great game that Switch owners should pick up.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a great game, with fun combat systems, great story and amazing graphics. It's a shame that it is marred by it's slow pace and tedious grinding.

Even if some technical aspects of the game stop it from being really great, the C&C remastered collection has a lot to offer, especially if you're fans of the original games.

Project CARS 2 continues Slightly Mad Studios community model of game development, and adds more content and accessibility into what was already a great title. what it lacks in graphical disadvantage to it's competitors it makes up for deep customization options. Proves one of the best driving experience you can find on the PS4.

If two years is the time I had to wait to get a game with this much quality in it, so be it. TEKKEN 7 is one of the best games in the series, with an epic roster full of familiar and new characters, the best graphics in the franchise history and a dedicated and a pretty fun story mode. I'm a little disappointed by the lack of special modes such as the “Scenario Campaign” from the last game but that doesn't make the core gameplay less fun or engaging in any way. The PC port is superb and if you're a Fighting game or TEKKEN enthusiast, you should buy this game.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 takes everything that made the first game special and fun and quadruples it. The campaign and co-op modes will guarantee you many hours of fun and replayability with countless ways to deal with challenges and abnormal amounts of enemies.

Everything that makes Hitman 2 a good game, also makes it a boring one. You still have the ability to be anything you'd want to be - a silent, smart assassin who can forge anything in this world into his weapon, or an assassin that likes to leave some mess behind him and run away. The absurd part is, despite the endless opportunities to advance and complete your tasks, every mission feels the same, and you can't play 2 missions in a row without having to catch a break or go back to whatever else you have to play. Hitman 2 proves that even creativity could be boring, which is truly a remarkable accomplishment.

Death Stranding is not a game for every type of player. Its special but repetitive and sometimes outright boring gameplay will make you either love it or stay away from it like fire (or BT). If you have weeks or even months of free time, Death Stranding is the game for you. Otherwise, it’s better to invest it on a real trip with less cargo and no babies.

Mortal Kombat 11 is not just a sequel to Mortal Kombat X, it's an entirely new genre of fighting game that no one has experienced before. New and veteran players alike will love the new tutorial system as well as the new fighting mechanics that makes every match tense and exciting from beginning to end. The finishers are more brutal than ever and the story mode will make you feel like you are watching a big budget movie. Single player content is quite poor, repetitive and grindy but overall, Mortal Kombat 11 is a huge and fun fighting experience.

A true bang (pun intended) for you buck, the Borderlands Legendary Collection boasts three games in the series, that their port to the system was handled with extreme care. It's a shame we don't get a performance mode for silky smooth plays, but what's here is great.

Control is an amazing game that lets you realize your wildest power fantasies. Jesse is a compelling and interesting main character alongside a colorful and wild cast of characters. The gunplay and powers are extraordinary and a lot of fun, and although the technical side of the game suffers from low frame rate and hiccups, I still consider this game as one of the best games of 2019.

While the long development cycle does show its age in certain parts up to a point of some frustration. The experience as a whole is one of the most unique ever.
