The best thing about this wonderful remake is that it truly feels like a new "Souls" game, rather than an old one being brought back to life. The graphics are incredible, the music is wonderful and the kingdom of Boletaria was recreated beautifully by Bluepoint Games. If you managed to get a PS5, but still haven't played this game, you're wasting your time.

I don't think Metaphor Refantazio is only the best game Atlus ever made, but it is definitely my game of the year at this point. It brings a lot of improvements to their JRPG formula which begs the question, how will they out do themselves in Persona 6?

With most of the bugs ironed out, and with the PC version getting extra features and graphical improvements, this might be the best version of this game.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II stands as one of, if not the, best RPG ever released. It can suck the player for hours with an engaging narrative, an amazing world full with intricate details, and choices that have actually matters with meaningful consequences. I never thought that a week before my birthday, Nintendo would gift me with the opportunity to review one of the games that made me the gamer that I am now. This is a truly timeless classic, made even better with great graphics and some QoL improvements.

Even without the PS5 features shining through, the wonderful graphics, and the non-existent load times, what we're left with is a superb game, one that I encourage everyone to play on their PS5. Calling this "a must-have" would sell short how fun, replayable and addictive this game is. A well deserved perfect score.

In my eyes, Nintendo has created the Magnum Opus of 3D Sandbox Open-World Platforming with this game. From start to finish, this game oozes with fun, great gameplay, amazing worlds and vistas and absolutely phenomenal music. The fact you have to use motion controls in order to get the full use of Cappy is weird but that's the only bad thing I can say about this game. Nintendo is spoiling us this year.

Bayonetta 2 is Action video gaming perfected. The game is simply great, with amazing set pieces and a crazy story, but the real highlight of the game is the combat that simply thrives on letting the player figure out the best ways to tackle a fight without holding your hand. With the extra modes and the added bonus of the first game, there is no getting around it – this game is a masterpiece and a must have on the Switch.

Astro Bot is the first 3D platformer from Sony that we got in many years, it is one of my favorite experiences with the Playstation 5, be it the use of the DualSense features or Astro's world as a whole and I hope Sony will make more games like this.

A real masterpiece and a must-have for every PS4 owner.

There is really nothing else that needs to be said about this game. It's Eiji Aonuma's greatest achievement as a video game creator, and it is probably one of the best games Nintendo has ever put out. It makes even the wonderfully crafted Breath of the Wild seem like an unfinished project compared to it. If you love gaming - you have to try this game in any way shape or form.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is a game that checks all the boxes for me in a game of its style and is currently my game of the year, it has an engaging battle system that I enjoy, its world setting is interesting, the cast of characters and the story are interesting, and I don't wish for it to even end.

Final Fantasy VII Remake exceeded almost every expectation that I had: The game looks amazing, plays great, the cutscenes are remarkable and the soundtrack is breathtaking. Final Fantasy VII Remake us a must-play for fans of the original game and PS4 players in general.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is nothing short of a masterpiece. The changes made to this game make it both brand new and familiar. As a man who has interest in game design this game is a great lesson in how it's done, as a gamer this was a great game to play and as a long time fan of the series I was just so happy I got to play this game. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was set to be a one of a kind experience and indeed it was.

Baldur's Gate 3 is the pinnacle for RPG games that puts the "Role Play" back in Role Playing Games. Larian Studios sets a new industry standard that is beyond what we've seen in terms of gameplay, replayability, and graphics. The endless possibilities create the true feeling of an open world that doesn't lead you in a way and gives the player a way to explore the story in limitless opportunities.

Forza Horizon 5 features all the content from the previous game and bumps the fun of this Horizon title. The game looks stunning and the gameplay is the same casual fun of Forza Horizon. The replayability of this game makes it outstanding and deserving of a perfect score.

By looking at this game alone, you would've never imagined Guerilla Games' previous works were on FPS games. Horizon: Zero Dawn reaches perfection in almost all of its aspects and it does so with relative ease. Aloy is an amazing character, a true bad-ass with a great story behind her, and the world she lives in is vast and full of interesting and unique characters and secrets. The combat, while a tad lacking, is extremely fun and addictive and the graphics are some of the best seen on the system with breath-taking vistas. If you happen to own a PS4, you should buy this game. If you don't, then you might want a PS4 for this one. Guerilla Games went and set the bar high for future open world games with this one.

Cuphead offers a unique combination of art and sound, presenting one of the most funny and bizarre shows in the current game generation. Its gameplay and co-op can hold many fun hours and a strong replay-ability attribute. Recommended for everyone.

Few are the games that actually live up to their hype. Hades is one such game. With its excellent gameplay, great soundtrack, wonderful story and great use of its roguelike elements to tell it, Hades is one of the best games of 2020. Supergiant games just gave us another banger.

A game that was made by fans, but has the word “Professional” written all over it. Sonic Mania is the best 2D Sonic game ever made and a crowning achievement in both platforming games and video game music. Everything in this game was made with love and care that Sonic fans desperately needed after Sonic 4. The old levels feel fresh and new, the new levels are absolutely amazing, the music is one of the best things in this game and there is just so much to do it feels overwhelming at times. Sonic Mania is a must have for Sonic The Hedgehog fans, fans of the platforming genre and anyone who grew up in the early 90's and just wants to feel like a kid again.

Spider-Man exceeded my expectations in every single way. It has its low points, but they are so minor, they become insignificant in the face of its many positive points. Spider-Man is the PS4's second system seller in 2018.

Rich in detail and brilliantly designed, Deathloop brings new life into a familiar story trope. It's polished game mechanics help Deathloop remain intriguing and challenging at all times, which makes it a paramount addition to the new PS5 game library.

Dark atmosphere, grim locations and outright horrifying enemies and dungeons, make this game a gem of an RPG that sets itself apart from anything else on the system. The use of the Nintendo Switch’s touch screen is great and adds to the experience even more.

This port is really well made and runs super well on all devices I tried it on including the Steam Deck, with a nice properties screenm with DLSS 4 support, tho lacking FSR 4 and still using FSR 3. With all the dlcs included, this is the best way to experience Stellar Blade.

Green Hell VR offers a great VR experience, with interactive jungle environment made with the attention to the smallest details while creating a consistently challenging gameplay experience.

With a just few concessions regarding the graphics of the game, ATLUS has effectively created a port of the game that's basically the spiritual successor to P4G on the PS Vita. An amazing, fun and now also portable RPG that in my opinion is only rivaled by the Steam Deck PC version.

This is probably the best game in a criminally underrated series by Nintendo. Almost every gameplay element was handled with care, with very few mishaps. I know it really doesn't look like it, but Pikmin 4 is a game for hardcore gamers that are willing to dig deep to find one of the most fulfilling and exciting games out there.

Almost a decade after it's initial release in Japan, the Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles shows us, more than anything, why JRPG fans in the US were so adamant on bringing it to the states.

What a way to launch a new console: Spider-Man: Miles Morales is everything Uncharted: The Lost Legacy wanted to be but couldn't, giving us a whole new Spider-Man adventure packed in a smaller, tighter game. Better graphics, awesome soundtrack and improved combat make this game a joy to play and a must have game for PS5 owners.

A Fantastic port, that continues the line of incredible PlayStation games coming over to the PC. This is one of Nixxes' finest works, with an incredible set of features and graphical options, as well as being the prettiest version of the prettiest game on PS5.

Resident Evil Village is a love letter to old and new fans of the series, while including the style of puzzles of the old games with the newer action aspects of the series. Right now this is my favorite game in the series and Capcom might need to reinvent themselves in order to stay relevant even when they reach their 30th anniversary.

Persona 5 is hands down the best game in the Persona series. Hell, it well may be the best JRPG of the last decade. Apart from small minor issues, the game itself is a JRPG masterpiece: The graphics and music compliment the style of the game beautifully, the story is the best in the series, the locations and palaces you visit are astounding and the battle system has been revitalized and feels fresh and new. This game didn't just match people's expectations – it created new ones for the future.

With endless content that's scattered in a way that makes the pace of finding new things addictive, in a galaxy no less then visually stunning and all while maintaining accessibility for younger audience as well - I have no doubt "LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga" will not only be one of your favorite games this year, but will also be your children's favorite game for many years.

It is quite simply the best co-op experience i had, and a masterclass in how to handle a liver-service game in a good, honest and fair way.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is one of the best 2D-Action games this year, with amazing visuals and an incredible combat system that rewards fast reflexes and strategy.

I'm sorry - I'm not joining the whole "70 USD" debate and instead focusing on the remake itself which is still the same game from 2013, but probably the best way you can play it. The new graphics and animations are simply superb and the game does provide some incentive to play it again, which is always welcomed. In short, The Last of Us Part I is simply a great game - though if you had enough of The Last of Us, it's really not a must-buy title.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the definitive Mario Kart 8 experience. The question is, should you buy this game if you already own the game for the Wii U? Not necessarily. If you don't care for the revamped battle mode, new characters and all the DLC then by all means, don't buy this game. But, if you do care about these things or you simply don't own the game and want the best Mario Kart game ever created anywhere you want, this is the game for you.

Wasteland 3 is one of the best RPG's of 2020. Your choices matter, your build matters, everything you do matters. You don't just play this game, you live in it.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is not just a new Souls Game: it's a brand new one, with great elements taken from great games like Tenchu and implementing them in a brutal, yet beautiful game.

Super Mario 3D World itself is an amazing joy ride with excellent platforming sections and amazing gameplay, but adding Bowser's Fury and it's incredible new and innovative concept of an open world Mario game, and you get a game that is bigger then the sum of its parts.

What an amazing experience this was. As a fan of Open World games, I got to experience one of the densest and most fun open worlds in the past few years. As a Final Fantasy VII fan, I got to see one of my childhood games being fully realized with new cinematic cutscenes, bosses and more.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is, without a shadow of a doubt, living up to its wonderous name. A game this good that manages to blend incredible platforming and level design with light humor and a ton of positivity (that even makes the multiplayer aspect positive), is truly remarkable and one of a kind.

I believe this is the first time a Nintendo Switch version of a game is without any shadow of a doubt, the best version you can get of said game. It took its sweet time, but boy - was it worth the wait.

Foundation's third season is by far the most intense and the series best one yet. With high production values, great CGI and an amazing story that wraps all of its characters wonderfully - This is one of the best sci-fi shows around.

Xbox, Bethesda and most importantly, Tango Gameworks, came out swinging, with an absolutely fantastic game, that manages to blend between the Character Action and Rhythm game genres without missing a beat (pun definitely intended). This is a strong contender for GOTY, and we're just getting started with 2023.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is the best JRPG i played this year and it will probably stay that way. I can't wait to jump back in to its addicting gameplay mechanics and gorgeous anime visuals.

Forza Horizon 4 is a must have for any car enthusiast. It sports beautiful graphics and views, an awesome soundtrack and an addictive gameplay experience.

Tekken 8 is an example of a game living up to it's own hype. With a fantastic roster of warriors, amazing single and multi-player modes, great online connectivity and incredible graphics and sound, Tekken 8 solidifies itself as one of the best in the business and an excellence of execution.

When I look back at this game, I know it won't win any GOTY awards but in my eyes, it's the most fun I've had in video gaming this year. The characters are great, the single-player campaign is great and the music and stages selection is amazing. A must have for Switch owners.

Simply put, you are looking at the first next-gen game to come in 2020. Microsoft Flight Simulator is probably the most ambitious, grand and awe-inspiring game of the year - sometimes to it's own detriment.

This PC port caps off what was undoubtedly a monumental year for PlayStation and Sony. This just the last of excellent ports that brought the PC gaming community into the PlayStation family and the quality and care Nixxes has put into those ports is displayed here as well.

In a generation where we get remakes one after the other, it's hard to think of a remake that really reinvented itself to the point where it felt almost completely new. No longer do we need to look at Resident Evil 4 as a nostalgic memory, it is here, freshly new and almost any complaint I have on it is just a nitpick. One of the best remakes Capcom - and anyone else for that matter - ever did.

The port has some bugs it needs ironing out prior to its release, but other than that, we're looking at a solid, well put up port for an amazing game that PC owners that didn't have a PlayStation console yet, should definitely try.

For 15 years I have been waiting for this game, and to see it out and also be as good as I hoped it would be is simply incredible. The gameplay is sublime, the map design is great, the bosses are fun and the E.M.M.I are threatening. All these come together to create what possible is: The Nintendo Switch's 2021 game of the year.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is the game that will reunite you with all of your favorite heroes, Each one with its own set of skills and abilities, each one with a part in the main storyline. Some technical bugs may occur, but it won't take away from this MARVELous experience.

Hivebusters shows that even a 3-hour long experience can be a fun and fulfilling one, if done right. The Coalition just showed us that the Gears franchise is in very good hands.

Stellar Blade seems to get the wrong reputation and marketing on the internet nowadays, what we have here is a marvel of current gen graphics and feature usage on the PS5 with gameplay and world that would appeal to Nier and Souls fans alike.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is a game that delivers everything that it promised and so much more. Amazing gameplay, excellent game design, fantastic graphics and absolutely mind blowing soundtrack by Tee Lopes mark this game as another great success by DotEmu, and one of the best games of 2022.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is an excellent 2D platform game that utilizes tight controls, amazing level design and great visuals to deliver an impressive experience to the player and a faithful port of the WiiU classic that you can play anywhere.

This game was special and colorful 20 years ago and it is so now - Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a renewed candy that will easily draw you into a unique and exciting adventure that includes a very good plot, great graphics and soundtrack and a fun and rewarding battle system. Honestly, it's a little distressing to remember the fact that Nintendo is asking for a full price tag for this game, even though it's a remaster of an existing and quite old game (it's even more strange when the Metroid remake is priced at only $40), but with the amount of investment and nice additions that came to this version, the pill feels easier to swallow.

Sony's ports are back with a port that officially brings the entire The Last of Us series to PC, and it's hard to say it's not an exciting . The PC version of The Last of Us Part II is as much a celebration for fans of the brand as it is for those of us who are going to try this masterpiece for the first time, and it's therefore very difficult not to recommend it to anyone who wants to experience its journey.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is another banger of a PC Port, with minimal bugs, great features and good performance. PC gamers just found their El Dorado (wrong game in the series, I know, but I stand by it!)

Go play one of the most addicting Roguelite games in the last couple of years, and don't you dare say that the gaming industry lacks creativity and fun ideas. Much like in the beginning of 2023, the indie scene is outdoing itself.

Crimson Desert is one of the most rewarding open-world games I’ve played in years, but it absolutely makes you work for that payoff. Its opening hours are rough, the story never fully comes together, and the UI, inventory management, and control scheme can be frustratingly clunky. Still, once the world opens up, the game becomes something special. Exploration feels meaningful, not like filler, and the best rewards often come from curiosity, detours, and preparation rather than simply following the main quest. Combat is flashy, deep, and incredibly satisfying against groups of enemies, even if some boss fights lean too hard into frustration. This is basically Pearl Abyss making a single-player Black Desert: mechanically rich, often messy, and far more interested in systems, movement, and discovery than in telling a compelling story. If you value exploration over narrative and can push through a bumpy start, Crimson Desert is an easy recommendation.

This bundle is a huge celebration for fans of Mario, both new and old. These are 2 of the best 3D platforming games ever made, and is a huge recommendation for fans of the genre.

Concrete Genie is visually stunning. the artwork is off the charts and was clearly meant to be the core interest of the game. As the player, you get to express your creativity in so many ways, and the game encourages you to do so. The gameplay itself can feel repetitive at times, and the backstory isn't as profound as i would except from such kind of a game. But even given those downsides, Concrete Genie is still a wonderful creation you should definitely check out.

An incredible game by Thunder Lotus Games who managed to tackle one of life's greatest tragedies with amazing grace. The beautiful storytelling, combined with the slow paced gameplay simply benefit every part of this wonderful journey.

Nintendo launched the Switch with an excellent Zelda game, and two and a half years later does it again with another incredible Zelda game. It has its shortcomings (specifically in the performance department) but it still shines as a great remake of the OG mobile Zelda.

Pragmata is one of the most special games I've got to play in a long time, with one of the most unique gameplay mechanics I've had the pleasure of experiencing, and I'm glad Capcom is in such a good state to allow this type of games to be produced, I only hope it will do well to allow more experiments like this.

I still can't believe I just played God of War 2018 on my PC. Not only that, it's a great port, with excellent performance, features like DLSS and FidelityFX and compatibility with a wide arrange of controllers. What a time to be a gamer.

Tunic demands all of your attention to experience its world and mysteries as intended. Fortunately, with excellent world design, fun and diverse gameplay and extraordinary ways to keep you interested in what to come next, it truly deserves that investment and focus.

After two very diverse works, Obsidian returns to their "bread and butter" with Avowed, an RPG with a taste of the past. Although in some areas the game feels too outdated, especially by today's standards, the studio brings diversity to a combat system that is simply outstanding, and with combination of brilliant writing and a world design that is full of secrets they make Avowed a amazing experience for all fans of the genre that I cannot recommend less.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is a great experience both for those who have played and want more and for those playing for the first time. It looks, feels, and sounds great but it's hard not to feel like it could have benefitted from a few more months in the oven to fix the loading times and the bosses that hardly challenges the player

The best one in the series, one of the best JRPGs on the Nintendo Switch and one of the best games of 2022. The main Xenoblade Chronicles saga ends with a bang, or better yet, a beautiful melody.

Ghost Of Tsushima is Sony's swan song, the perfect game to wrap up this generation and a line of amazing exclusives that came out for the PS4. It encourages exploration in a unique way, and tells a story about a man who has to stand against everything he was taught, and it's definitely one you wouldn't want to miss.

This is a great version of a great game, with Iki Island giving players some more insight into Jin Sakai's life as a young samurai and give us amazing vistas to enjoy. All that - and they fixed the Japanese lip sync. Hallelujah.

The year is 2025 and I get to say we're blessed to play Silksong right now after the long wait, it is very well made, looks amazing, plays well, and even if I didn't lose any rage playing it (yet), it is definitely far more challenging than it's predecessor.

Injustice 2 has everything that fighting fans dream of: rich character roster, smooth gameplay and a strong replay value. With these, Injustice 2 not only rises above its predecessor, but also above most of fighting games available today. NRS proves once again that they are becoming the best fighting game developer of them all. With a short but well written story, wonderful fighting mechanic and the brand new Gear system, you will receive a recipe for a superb fighting game with a slight RPG seasoning.

Total War: Warhammer II might not be a revolutionary and groundbreaking title that reinvents the strategy genre. However, it also does not aspire to be one. Instead, it takes the familiar and beloved formula and polishes it even more. The result is not only one of the best games in the Total War series, but an excellent strategy game in itself.

This is the best Call of Duty in years, with great multiplayer and an awesome campaign (even though it doesn’t live up to its fullest potential). The game reminds me of Modern Warfare with an emphasis on a moving and meaningful story coupled with addicting multiplayer action creating a satisfying and wholesome shooting experience.

This is one of the best games in the Hitman franchise and definitely the best game in the "World of Assassination" Trilogy by IO Interactive. This is a must play for anyone into Hitman and a great ending to Agent 47's story.

This is, without any doubt, one of biggest PlayStation games ever made. It's polished beyond belief, with great writing, voice acting, graphics and sound design. The combat and puzzles are, yet again, a subject of taste, but it did the job for me. If you loved God of War 2018, then this is a must buy for you.

Detroit: Become Human is a masterpiece of storytelling, perfectly executed and beautiful. The acting is superb, the action is intense and the tears are already dropping.

The Prince of Persia gets its first game in a very long time, and what a triumphant return that it. With great combat, fluid motion, great map design and other fantastic gameplay elements, this game elevates itself and stands out in the landscape of Metroidvania games. What an excellent beginning to 2024.

With Astral Chain, Platinum Games are officially cementing their status as one of the best action game developers in the market right now. Great gameplay and fantastic setting set the stage to one of the best Nintendo Switch games of 2019.

Super Mario Maker 2 makes its predecessor look small and limited compared to it. And that by itself says a lot about the game.
