Even with time-consuming loadings giving a "brake" on the "flow" of the game, the player is compensated with magnificent artworks and tips on the loading screen.

Chronicles of the Wolf is a true ode to the classic and mid-era of Castlevania, blending the best of both to deliver a progressively engaging game, well balanced difficulty, and highly atmospheric in its storytelling, with plenty of secrets to uncover. That’s not to say it lacks polish—but by no means do these minor flaws get in the way of the incredible experience the title offers.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is an incredible and unforgettable game. Its excellent soundtrack and sense of adventure greatly brightened the moments I spent with it. It is a must have game for owners of a Nintendo Switch.
