So FIFA 13 elicits less of a salivating exclamation, and more of a slow, knowing nod. One that gets more knowing as you discover how much it's been improved, in little, but significant, ways.

The presentation is stellar: both in graphics, and sound. The levels are also varied forcing you to find new ways to optimize the effect of each throw. To me this is almost a perfect game, and the only thing I really miss is a local multiplayer mode that would make this a real party game for a long time.

Kickin Momma comes with enough levels to keep you busy for some time, especially if you go back to earn a gold medal on each one. Plus, there's Game Center achievements and leaderboards that increase the replay value even further.

Everything you'd expect is here, including all the above game modes and voice chat. It may not have the deep 'One-billion-attachments-and-counting' customization of something like Modern Combat, but there's surely enough here to keep you ruling the skies for a heck of a long time.

Joe Danger Touch equals Rayman Jungle Run in offering a fantastic touch screen alternative to the console version of a game. The only difference being that I think that this touch version is better than the PSN and XBLA original. Its more engaging and very addictive. That 'one more go' urge cost me my dinner this evening!

A super fun game with lots of replay value. If you are looking for something that takes a very unique approach to gaming then I can't recommend it enough.

Contre Jour oozes with a dark, silky charm that grabs your attention right after you first launch the game. Before you know it, you'll be 20+ levels deep without any recollection of how much time has passed.

I would have been sold on Battle of the Bulge as a regular PC wargame, but the fact that it is an iPad only release and a brilliant one at that makes it all the sweeter as an iOS gamer.

Gameloft have put a lot of effort into not only creating a great and worthy game for just $6.99 that would look and play great on a console such as the Wii, but also delivered a game that fans of the original had hoped for.

Blast Ball is simply a brilliant game taking the best of some well-known ideas, and crunching them into a unique formula. Playable, addictive and sheer fun. The only thing I really long for is more levels in future updates. This game can blast my balls for a long time, and I will enjoy every minute of it.

BioDefense: Zombie Outbreak is a great game combining a user friendly interface, precise touch controls, frantic battles and great presentation.

The intensity of the game may not be for everyone, and the relatively small amount of content may annoy some, but for me I can think of few better ways to spend a dollar.

It's close but no cigar when compared to the 5 star Space Invaders Infinity Gene. PMCE looks, sounds and plays fantastically… but, had it included online leader-boards and multiplayer, it could have been contender for best Arcade game on the AppStore.

Mage Gauntlet is great fun from the first level to the last, and then you can do it all over again, albeit harder.

I had a blast playing this game, and will continue to do so. It could be improved with more difficulty options in the single player, and of course, it doesn't win any awards for originality, but it does succeed in what it undoubtably sets out to do, and that's offer a fun and accessible arcade racer… and a fantastic online experience.

If you started off your career in adventure gaming with the Walking Dead it may do you some good to experience this finely crafted take on the traditional adventure gaming formula. I sincerely hope that Pendulo Studios is around for a long time to come, and that they keep bringing these short but thrilling adventure titles to iOS.

If you are a fan of Japanese role playing games than you absolutely must get Chaos Rings Omega. It is without question the best game in the genre on the iPhone. However, if aren't a huge fan, and have already played the first Chaos Rings, than I would probably pass, because this game is so similar (almost identical) to the first one.

It is largely a known entity, and for those of you who are familiar with the game and want to play again should definitely consider this version. Those of you not in the know, I hope that this brief rundown of the game was enough to entice Star Wars and D&D fans. Knights of the Old Republic is a game that any fan of Western RPGs should give a chance.

Coco Loco may have fallen to the wayside as another Angry Birds clone if it weren't for the obvious love and polish that went into practically every aspect of the game. The graphics absolutely pop on the iPad (the game is universal, so it works on the iPod and iPhone as well), and the liquid and gel physics behave exactly as one would expect.

Zombie Infection is a great action game from start to finish. Sure, the story is uninspired and the voice acting is terrible, but the core gameplay is some of the best fun I've had with an action title on iPhone.

Rest assured, the audience King of Dragon Pass is aimed at will lap it up. But it's even made a metal and machine guns guy like me respect the dragons and warlocks of ye olde. I'm sure to be back blasting aliens in the face with assault rifles soon, but for now I'm off to trade that bogey in a jar.

Epoch's visuals and gameplay mechanics are it's shining force, easily making it one of the most desirable games on the app store at this moment in time for all you graphic lovers. If story doesn't interest you and you're a fan of cover based gameplay, although repetitive, Epoch is indeed the reigning champion.
