A fabulous football simulation that stops just shy of full marks.

Word Up Dog is a fresh, and fun experience combining word gaming with dungeon crawling. The references to the fizzling eighties are really fun, especially for those who sang along to MC Hammer and LL Cool J. Highly recommended.

Cordy 2 plays like a dream with precise controls, excellent level design and all presented in a great style. Who wouldn´t want to stomp on the evil Boogaloo?

An incredibly polished game that is addictive, fun and features just the right amount of learning curve before ramping up the challenge.

I completely adore Neuroshima Hex, and find it as addictive as Peggle.

Its blend of beautiful graphics and sound, compelling platforming, challenging puzzles and of course the intuitive one-finger controls, makes it one not to miss, and a perfect way to round off a great year in iOS gaming.

It's the best example of a retro platformer on iOS yet…and I'm hooked!

Storm The Train is a gem in the free to play category, as it is both fun and free. You can spend 20+ hours with it without having to spend a dime, and still enjoy yourself. It does get repetitive though, and more story would have been nice. On the other hand I get to storm a train, kill werewolves and robot monsters.

With smooth controls, impressive visuals, a huge variety of race modes to choose from, a good number of characters and tracks to unlock, and challenging AI in later levels, Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing provides the best kart racing experience on the App Store.

    9mm
9mm is a slick, intense, and sometimes sick, ride. I wanted, and expected, guns, gangsters and violence… it delivered, and then some.

Among all the games trying to push hugely detailed worlds, and console-like experiences, it's always nice to find a game that fits perfectly within its iOS surroundings. Delivering a tight, focused and tailor-made experience that I challenge any gamer not to fall in love with. It joins like-minded titles like Bumpy Road, as true AppStore gems.

If online play, new characters, and practically infinite replay value doesn't sound good to you, don't waste your money. For the rest of you, go buy Street Fighter 4: Volt now!

One of the only things I wished for with Arkham Asylum was the ability to use the Batmobile. Alas, it wasn't possible, but here it is.

To me, the game is definitely an improvement from Canabalt. The visuals are obviously way better, the music is pretty outstanding as well, and the gameplay is just simple but quite addictive.

The multiplayer in N.O.V.A. 3 is awesome. The game has some issues with connections every now and again, and there seems to be a scarcity of players in some of the modes. While it might not be perfect like the single player, it is pretty damn close.

Sentinel 3: Homeworld is a marvellous tower defense game. It caters more to the already initiated strategist, and it demands your time and effort. For newcomers the lack of story might deter the interest.

Syder Arcade HD is a no-nonsense shooter in space that makes for some truly intensely satisfying action. Not only brawn, but also some strategy to the mayhem, as it introduces different directions to travel and enemies that move in a bit random.

Frozen Synapse does so many things right on iPad: Single player, multiplayer, and the thoughtful tactical gameplay that is consistent in both modes. If you have any fondness for tactical games, don’t hesitate before jumping headfirst into Frozen Synapse.

World War One (1951) is a great purchase for anyone who enjoys aircraft games, shooters and anything with XP and level up elements in it. With it's great implementation of controls and stunning visuals, it's a must buy!

To be honest, with a full story mode and an extra quickplay mode or two, Pix'n Love would be well worthy of a premium price, and is the kind of game I love to show off to my friends. Right now, it's definitely a must-have for any device, and will leave an 8-bit smile on your face.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective gripped me right away, and held me in a strong grip for more than eight hours. Finding out what had happened soon became something I pondered when making dinner, or riding my bike to work. Few games has this effect on me, but this NDS classic certainly has the story few games can rival.

Street Fighter 4 is a must buy. Plain and simple. It offers everything a Street Fighter fan could want and more. With stunning visuals, sound, multiplayer, and the best d-pad/button controls I have seen, SF4 is worth every penny of its $10 price tag.

What Gameloft have created here is almost the complete package. It is truly AAA in scope and presentation. It's just a shame that it is still lacking decent AI routines for enemies and the voice acting it deserves. Of course, take things out of the campaign mode and into multiplayer, and MC4 really shines.
