Major Mayhem takes elements from an Operation Wolf style shooting gallery, Canabalt platforming, Gears of War duck-and-cover and Max Payne bullet time, and mixes it into an action-packed budget platformer that's hard to put down.

Monkey Labour is all about the image inside the frame. Excellent replayable highly addictive gameplay in an uncompromising retro presentation. I love it, and hope to see more original games such as this.

A great racing game. It has a couple of minor flaws, but nothing gamebreaking. The social sharing hooks after every race can be a little annoying, and they delay the time getting to the next race. Still, slight problems aside, fans of racing games will enjoy the total package offered in Asphalt 7 Heat.

Overall, the game has amazing potential for extended play. These minor issues cannot take away from the truth; 8-Bit Rebellion is a great game that is constructed and executed very well, has crazy amounts of potential, and gives a unique online experience.

Two working controls methods, excellent graphics and audio along with Game Center integration for leaderboards equal a great quality release. Now if I can only find a Buddhist monk to try the game.

Billabong Surf Trip is a fantastic surfing game that features realistic wave mechanics and maneuvers that can actually be performed in real life.

Overall, this is a great puzzle game. It is certainly not original, as it borrows heavily from some of the more popular games on iOS. However, it does enough to make the mechanics its own. If you like physics-based puzzle games, this is one that is well worth your time, as it features fun gameplay, beautiful visuals, and a fantastic soundtrack.

Unfortunately there is a lack of online multi-player, which is huge shame, and one of the main draws for the console edition - let's hope that comes in an update.

Be Together is one of the best physics puzzles lately combining cute graphics, excellent level design and high production values. Loads of achievements, hours of puzzles and the feelgood game design make it hard to quit playing.

PinWar is a great game in one player, and a pretty good one with two. It’s a bit like renting a one bedroom flat with four friends – a little cramped, but great fun. Remember though – friends with small hands work best.

It sounds great, looks great and plays great. The lack of control customisation is a sore point, but much like any accelerometer game, practice makes perfect, and it's all part of the challenge.

It's a great overall package which, for the most part, feels like it's been built as much as a personal passion of one man and his love of retro, than simply a product for consumption by iOS gamers.

A real surprise to me in a truly positive sense. It merges two genres almost seamlessly, and manages to keep the formula fresh for hours. The slightly sketchy controls at times disturb the gameplay. In the end it is still an easy game to recommend to both the casual gamer usually into match 3 puzzlers, and the hardcore MeatBoy platformer fans.

A fun new entry in the strategy game genre. It is more casual than ordinary war strategy games, but still more hardcore than for example Plants vs. Zombies.

Although it's not perfect, Real Boxing can indeed be crowned the undisputed king of iOS fighters. True, there's not exactly much competition, but first is first. It'll be very interesting to see what Vivid Games follows up this impressive effort with. Or to put it another way…seconds out.

It also allows me, after weeks sitting in a darkened room with nothing but the game to keep me company, to create an absolute evil beast of a level to send to the developers and give them a taste of their own medicine. Yellow Monkey, your contact details are nearby. You've been warned.

Love Gears is a casual gear puzzle game that brings smiles to gamers. It might not be a revolution to the genre, or provide the hardest gear puzzles out there. It is one of those games you can play together with your kids, or by yourself if you are keen on maximizing your scores. An easy game to recommend.

This is a fantastic casual game. It is a great game to pick up if you are looking for something ultra relaxing. It has some intense parts that will wake you up and get your blood pumping, but overall, it was just a little too slow for my tastes.

I wish someone would figure a way to make a truly great full fledged hockey game for mobile, but for now this will hold many of us hockey fans over. If you like hockey (of the ice variety), then I would advise checking this game out.
