Girls Like Robots is a quirky seating arrangement, or rather relationship simulator set in a high school love drama. It is perhaps the most serious game to be published by adult swim. It does however have a sense of humour, and despite not having anything fart or die horribly it is a fun game. There aren't many games on the App Store with this kind of gameplay, and as such it certainly fills a gap between Joining Hands and Triple Town.

Year Walk isn’t for everyone, as it is far from a casual experience and it takes a lot of effort from the player to get into it. For those who manage to immerse themselves completely this is one of the greatest games ever on iOS. For those who don’t it is a waste of time, and money.

Not enough is added to the moment to moment gameplay to combat the game's pacing problems, but I wouldn't discourage fans of tower defense from enjoying this colorful, if typical, tower defense romp.

Organ Trail is immensely fun to play a couple of times, but after that the fun vanes.

Super Hexagon is tough, and that is clearly its defining feature. If you aren't up for a game that will frustrate you, stay away. High score chasers will feel right at home, if not outright delighted with what this simple but infuriating title has to offer.

If you are a fan of the first Monsters Ate My Condo, and want an even more frantic experience it is easy to progress into the Super version.

It's not that there is no enjoyment to be found in Horn, but one really has to get their hands dirty with the negative aspects of the game to find it scattered about.

It's one that will pull you in with it's charm and won't let you go till your dinner's gone cold. So by all means download and install the game, but make sure you chow down before playing. Because we all know what a cold meal is good for don't we? Absolutely nothing.

There are better games out there when it comes to gameplay, but Feed Me Oil is still a worthy addition to the genre giving a couple of hours of oil-feeding.

A great puzzle game. It doesn't necessarily rewrite the book on puzzle games, but all in all, it's a solid package that is well worth a look if you are into the genre; especially Tetris-like puzzlers.

Scribblenauts may be worth buying simply for the sandbox mode, which works as a great time sink if you're bored on the go or waiting in line somewhere. As far as the game itself goes, don't expect to be challenged much, or pushed to solve puzzles in truly creative ways.

This is a full PS2/Nintendo 64 kind of game, it is the kind of games we used to pay $50 for before and we had to play it on the couch. This one is only worth $4.99 and we can play it anywhere we want. If it wasn't for the lack of online gameplay and the few flaws it has, it would be a perfect game.

Bug Princess 2 is more badass. But it is also very much more of the same. If you can't get enough of bullet hell then this will no doubt quench your thirst. But if you are looking for something new, then you may want to look elsewhere.

Penumbear is a quality puzzle platformer with a lot of content, and unsettling presentation. It never feels casual, and finding all the hidden stuff means you have to be prepared to have Penumbear impaled on spikes quite a lot. Not a game for the kiddies, but rather a game for those into darker games such as Limbo, Nihilumbra or Oscura.

Overall the visuals really do steal the show. Strip all that back and underneath it is a pretty standard Super Sprint style racer.

Downloadable currencies and content aside, the base game of Kingdom Rush Frontiers is an enjoyable one, and it comes highly recommended to existing fans of the genre.

A fun simulation game with cool graphics, and a enjoyable vibe. Being on the easy and short side, and lacking online leaderboards hurt it quite a lot. Still it is worth getting if you have enjoyed the other titles from Kairosoft.

Gameloft state that this is the most ambitious action RPG yet to grace the AppStore. Ambition is one thing, but delivering on that ambition is quite another. Unfortunately, Sacred Odyssey is lacking in too many areas, many of which are paramount for this genre to succeed.

If you can't get your hands on the 3DS release of Mutant Mudds, the iOS version is serviceable, but the original remains the definitive platform for Mudds.

It might not blow you away, but it does enough to keep you jumping back in for another quick blast, which I believe is the games exact intention.

Apocalypse Max is not the action shooter I had hoped for, and only the presentation really shines. Where it matters most the game is a bit shallow, and disappointing.

Waking Mars is more of an experience than a challenging game. If you are setting yourself up for an adventure after reading rave reviews at other sites, and the App Store you might be in for a disappointment. I know I was, as I actually got a bit bored.

Ethereally moving around the classic scenery can be a great way to spend a couple of hours. I rather solve the puzzles, and if I hadn't already played the original I would have a much harder time than I have.

Dungelot should be applauded for its lack of a secondary in-game currency, and the inability for the player to purchase coins for real-world money.

Silverfish is a well presented arcade avoid em' up that plays very well. If you are a fan of other games of the genre you will probably enjoy this quite a lot. If you are completely new to the genre it might seem both confusing, and too hard to grasp.

Polara is a fresh entry in the endless runner genre featuring a quick, and clever colour-shifting mechanic. Slow to start, but once you get to harder levels the game becomes hard to put away. At that point the lack of graphical flair doesn't matter, and I can only do one thing: keep running. And yes, die.

A short somewhat easy twin stick shooter. The cuteness factor combined with instant playability and varied levels still make it one of the most fun games to play in the genre.

The slow pace of the game limits the appeal of an otherwise well presented game.

As a JRPG style experience with some callbacks to Dungeons and Dragons, Knights of Pen and Paper excels. Just don't expect the full pen and paper experience.

Le Havre is the most complete board game upon launch offering single player, pass and play and online multiplayer straight out of the box. It should have been cooked for a bit more to clean up the interface a bit, and given it retina resolution. Still it is a great adaption of the physical board game well worth diving into.

If you enjoy the Virtual Villagers games this is a nice addition to the slower paced time management games.

Getting hung up on a puzzle right before lecture starts, missing a chunk of dialogue in front of the television, and trying to figure out what the heck I was doing when I last saved so that I can resume my story are all things that really conflict with how I play my iPhone games.

Little Inferno shines softly with originality and cuteness but never moves beyond this. As a more luxurious variation of Doodle God ($ 0,99), the game falls short and is not worth the hefty price tag. With all the tapping at coins and waiting, I can’t help but wonder: could Little Inferno have turned out better as a freemium game?

Time Surfer is a good game within its genre, one that at least on the surface tries to resolve an issue with runner type games, and even make it a feature.

A fun little casual game that can be frustratingly hard at times.

Even with these smart decisions on the part of the publisher (or possibly decisions made at the behest of the developer), and the quality of the ports, I can't say that the Raiden games hold up against shooters tailored more towards iOS. Even with the faster touch controls enabled, I found that my hand was getting in the way far too often, and that I didn't have the same level of immersion that I would have with a physical joystick.

Funky Smugglers is a good game with a slick look and enjoyable bite-sized gameplay which even though it gets a little repetitive, is perfect for those moments when you're bored and stuck in a queue. An airport queue perhaps.

Sprinkle brings something new with it's water physics, but it's comparatively small amount of levels, in-app purchases and unexciting soundtrack leaves it to fall short of being something great.

Transformers G1: Awakening is a quality title paying homage to one of the coolest animated series from my youth. Highlights are the graphics, the camp story and the music.

Controls aside, it's actually an enjoyable romp as you figure out the best way round each maze, trying to avoid the increasingly difficult and sadistic obstacles with only a bouncy ball (which can at least be upgraded) to aid you. It's about timing, and not a small bit of luck too.

The Sims 3 Ambitions is the most polished experience, and definitely recommended for old time fans for the series for both PC and iPhone.

The level of interaction required is minimal when compared to the vast array of options the game provides, and there is little excitement outside of watching your matches play out seconds at a time.

A fun puzzle game that looks good, and plays well. Too bad that it is a bit easy, and can be completed within an hour and a half.

This game can get tough, but like many physics games, a lot of the gameplay is dependent on luck.

A fun psychedelic diversion that works well as a casual game for shorter moments. Trying to play longer sessions is taxing because of the randomness of awesome to poor shots, and the weak level progression.

Sleepwalker's Journey is a nice puzzle adventure for those looking for a game where you have to constantly solve obstacle puzzles on your feet. Moonboy moves about much like a lemming, but is perhaps even more fragile.

Its scale and story must have been significantly more meaningful at the time of its release. I can't help but compare it to everything I have played since that time. Those of you who have fond memories of the game may want to bring out the better controlling PS2 version, or wait for the crippling bug to be fixed in the iOS version.

Virtual City is fun, but not without it's faults. If you like economy games, you will enjoy Virtual City, however it will get boring for some players rather quickly, due to it's simplistic style.

GoatUp manages to be a unique experience despite being just another Doodle Jump knockoff. Who could have imagined that kissing goats, grazing the land and jumping upwards could be so much fun.

Dungeon Raid manages to capture the essence of both rogue like dungeon crawling, and addictive match 3 in a easily accessible formula.

Diggin' Dogs borrows the perspective, and some of the control mechanics from the green crocodile from Disney, but in the end it is a completely unique experience. If you are looking for a challenging puzzler with a lot of game time, and cute dogs you can't go wrong with Diggin' Dogs.

Joining Hands is a casual puzzle game with loads of levels, good presentation and excellent controls.

The sound is a little disappointing though. You'd think a BMX game created by a real BMX biker would include a soundtrack that was a bit more…I don't know, 'With It' (is that the right term? I lost touch with the cool kids a while back). What's here sounds like something you'd find in a cutesy platformer with fluffy hybrid animals jumping on each others heads.

The soundtrack is also pretty cool and epic sounding. A little cut-and-paste with the production, but nice to listen to.

Crumble Zone doesn't have aspirations to be anything more than a race to the top of the leaderboards, but at that it does pretty well. A few nagging control issues and a lack of variety don't stop this game from being a good way to spend a few minutes between chores.

Don't get me wrong it is a well made game, but for me all the elements don't quite gel together for a great game.

Castlevania: Encore of the night tries to a lot of interesting things, but succeeds at none of them. Even hard-core Castlevania fans will have a hard time making it through this one.

All of my gripes about originality aside, technically speaking, Zen Bound is still a great looking and sounding game, and it controls and plays just as well.

The presentation is cute, and highly functional. I must mention that the game is universal, but because of the freemium nature with waiting periods and being played in portrait mode I prefer it on the iPhone. Being able to quickly tax my empire when standing in line is great.

Temple Run 2 is a good endless runner game, better in some ways than the original, and in other ways worse.

It's a fun-enough blaster that will keep you entertained for a few hours before the next installment of the 'i' series comes along. A forest shooter where the aim is to hunt your dinner perhaps? Great ideer anyone?

No Human is a fun game, but the thin content and sparse presentation draw the score down.

Finding all the jobs, getting surprises when clones are in love and expanding the settlement are all fun, and addictive. Too bad that the pacing slows to a trickle somewhere around level 9.

The fact that the interface is well designed, and the entire game has a Godzilab level of polish also helps longtime appeal.

A quite fun old school RPG with new school humour. An uneven level of difficulty, hard to read texts on smaller devices, lack of online leaderboard or achievements and dated sound effects draw the final rating down. It is still worth experiencing if you want a fun adventure with weird bunch of heroes.

In the end, this game isn't for the usual gamers. If you are a hunter though and have a lot of patience, then you will definitely find something good here.

For platform fans that like a bit of head scratching thrown in for good measure, it's certainly worth checking out, and fans hoping to play the original won't be disappointed.

If you are looking for an intense thriller and have a lot of time (or money) on your hands then you may want to pick this up. For everyone else it's certainly pretty to look at and listen too, but I doubt you'll have the patience or enough encouragement to get to the end.

ORC: Vengeance certainly has it's moments when the gesture controls come together when surrounded by five or six monsters, and Rok rocks his axe. Too much time is spent slowly running around the linear levels looking for a switch to open another gate.

It has a cool 16-bit look and feel to it that reminds me of the game Flashback, and the various deaths are funny to behold. Because of the basic graphical design I would have liked to see more levels than the initial three (more levels are promised).

iOOTP Baseball 2011 is a deep simulation with a lot of gamelife. The basic presentation, and lack of sound hurts the overall impression. You can't go wrong with it though if you are a fan of baseball, and simulation games.

Unmechanical isn’t a bad game, but it lacks that bit of extra polish and fun that I had expected.

Act of Fury is a perfect fit for the iPhone; it's uncomplicated, good looking, and probably the easiest game to pick up and play that I've, er…picked up and played. It's also cruel, frustrating, and at times you'll swear it's just being unfair.

A fantastic example of an excellent story and outstanding voice acting, but suffers from a few technical issues including tricky controls and lag in some areas of the game.

Despite some of the minor flaws in graphics and difficulty, the game is fun, thanks in huge part to the great control scheme. With a little more spit and polish this game could be a great budget shooter.

One for the retro-heads only perhaps.

A fun casual one touch game that you can pick up and play for ten minutes when waiting for the bus. It does`t offer any depth, and in the end the casual nature is what hurts it.

The poor technical implementation aside, I still think Lunar is a great game. This just doesn't like the way it was originally intended to play.

There isn't much of a 'game' here, unless you count watching your plane fly to it's destination while tapping the screen to collect coins which appear in the sky a game. Somehow I can't see that being a listed feature on the iTunes description.

It is a shame to see a game placed in such capable hands, and then rushed.

I like the presentation, the controls and the mood of the game. The lack of levels really hurt it as the survival mode lets you camp.

In the end Trenches proves that war can be fun, and since mankind thinks that it deserves all the wars it gets. Logic, got to love it.

Despite it's short nature, Tumbledrop is challenging, charming, and above all fun. Despite being a higher price than I expected for this kind of game (£1.99 as apposed to $0.99), it's worth picking up.

Gene Effect is a solid package; you just need to make sure your expectations are in the right place before you jump in.

The only real complaint I have is the story. Through the "story" you are suppose to save the robots from their own planet (which is actually why you connect them through their sockets, so they can share energy) but sometimes the story itself got in the way of the flow of the game. It was a nice touch, but at times it seemed a little bit annoying.

It's one of the better movie-tie-ins out there. But after watching the film twice, it just about keeps it's head above water in meeting my Na'vi needs.

Kumo Lumo is a decent, colorful game that is perplexingly free.

Texting of the Bread is a cool concept based on a even cooler idea. It works quite well for the iPhone, but I doubt that I get better at texting personally.

Poker Pals is a fresh entry in the asynchronous multiplayer genre that is immediately accessible to all. Easy rules, and easy to play it is a pleasurable way to play during shorter breaks.

Otherwise it’s classic arcade stuff – fast, addictive and easy to get into.

While Arcane Legends may feel like a small step back for the franchise in spite of it's positive and innovative elements, it's still fun and provides one of the best mobile MMORPG experiences you can find on Android or iOS.

An equally fun, as frustrating puzzle platformer.

All in all the game is pretty easy to grab and play for a while but it is definitely hard to master. It is still pretty short though; I beat it in like two hours or so, on normal difficulty.

I have had a fun and frustrating time with Isaac Newton's Gravity. Sadly the frustration has come from clunky controls more than from the challenges presented.

Monkey Slam is a cute brick breaker that has all the strengths, and flaws of the genre. It might be better suited for a younger crowd than us old timers that have been breaking bricks for almost thirty years.

If you are in the mood for some interesting and fun point and click adventuring Scarlett and the Spark of Life is definitely recommended. It won' t last you more than an evening though.

I really enjoyed playing NFL Rivals, and the setting makes it much more enjoyable than the predecessors. It is the same gameplay, but injected with real teams and a global competition.

Touchgrind BMX does improve on the series for the most part, but in other areas, such as the lack of free roam, it seems to be taking a big step back. As it stands now it will delight and frustrate gamers in equal measure.
